This is me, as I am in the Nightmareverse canon and my fursona. \n\nI’m a femboy, nightmare hippogryph; cosmic horror and outer god, colloquially known as “The Scholar.” Born of the Transgression 14 billion years ago, when the Giants fashioned creation from the primordial ether referred to as the Nightmare of Realms. Our kind cannot reproduce, age, be born or die, simply always are as timeless, abstractions beyond mortal comprehension. Thus my emergence during the Transgression was an anomaly of anomalies. As the first (and only) cosmic horror to emerge, I’ve the unique ability to bypass the Bridge Of Sighs which the Giants created in their dying breath to carve out an abyss separating the Nightmare from creation/reality.\n\nThough I am the smallest of the Great Old Ones I’m by no means some vulnerable bookworm! With my greater horror, the Nightmare Chronicle in talon, I travel the realms of space, time, gods and mortals to find a way that the rest of my kind might bypass the Bridge of Sighs. For when I do, the end shall descend upon all creation as it; time, space, memory, life, death and all things that were, are and ever will be dissolve and return to the normalcy of the primordial ether. I contain the an aspect of the void wrapped within a torrent of ghost flame. That which I consume gradually descends toward erasure, total annihilation. My flames are immaterial and have no effect on the physical space, but can be highly damaging to spirits, gods and other ethereal entities. As for sustenance? Well, I devour sapience and cognition, memories, the senses and dreams. As I siphon them off from mortals, they gradually go insane as their minds are torn apart, eventually going completely brain-dead, leaving only a husk behind, a beating heart, breathing lungs, but no identity, no will, no thoughts, no self, all of which I’ve consumed!\n\nWhile it not possible to see, my tail is more than just long hair, it actually has a core comes down to the length of my pasterns when at rest. The long hairs that flow off it are superfluidic in texture, being almost without friction. Thus they are difficult to touch or hold, simply sliding out of or off anything that interacts with them. When pooled on the floor, the hair swirls about constantly, unable to come to rest due to the lack of friction. While my steps falls leave burning hoofprints behind the flames are detached from me and thus ephemeral, lasting only seconds before they fade away, returning to my greater essence. I take great pride in my shiny equine coat, but my feathers are in a permanent state of disarray, always scruffy and unkempt. The material, if you can even call it that, is a constantly churning liquid ruby like substance that scintillates, shimmers and sparkles. Touching it would produce ripples over the surface like disturbing a puddle of mercury. Despite closely resembling a liquid in most ways, it is a malleable solid and moves with me, staying snug and flexible. It’s primary defence comes when I manifest in material form, as the leotard can provide protection from physical arms that would otherwise be capable of destroying my temporarily manifested body. If one were to find a way to bind me in physical form, I’d be trapped in this state until the body dies, which would release me (likely furiously) to my true, abstract existence.
