"description": "Oh god I gave so much extra attention to this one. I should be rushing, but I just had to be careful with this because I didn’t want to mess it up. Newborns aren’t that easy to draw for me, which is why I went with an alien, but not only that I also sketched. Never sketch aliens, guys, it ain’t worth it. This took so much tryharding. Also yeah, as soon as I wanted alien, I had to work around the issue of not letting the species get too close to human, since I wanted something furless. I also wanted that tail and the fact that they’re a hermaphrodite. I think herm cubs or babies are super cute and underrated but sadly even I don’t do it that often, this tries to fix that.\nThe antennae and ears are really just to make sure this doesn’t anger the gods of InkBunny for being too close to human, so they’re tactical. The beak came to me pretty naturally, though, and as soon as I had the head shape, I knew I had to make that, but it’s also tactical. At that point I didn’t want them to look like regular earth animals, but couldn’t look too human either. I hope I did a good job because this might have stolen time and hand endurance I need for the last two drawings of today.\nI guess it didn’t help that I tried to fit them in a small space due to how the other drawings in my canvas were arranged. I guess I could have made it somewhere else and not have to worry about space or being constrained, but doing it where I did is really space-efficient, so I’m glad they did fit there. It also forced this nice pose, which I like.\nThe main focus of this drawing are the looks because in concept it’s pretty tame… well… if you can consider sexualizing newborns tame. But it’s pretty chill, they’re just idling there, happily looking at their caretaker or something.
