It was Halloween night. The rain of the last weeks took a break at last. As a result, absolutely nothing prevented an excessive round of Trick'r'Treat. Therefore, the undead three-headed Hellhound Pattarchus and the wolf Fenrikur set out to wander the streets.
But just as they turned into the street leading to the cemetery, the Hellhound fell on his side and writhed in pain. There seemed to be something in his chest that was causing him great pain. Fenrikur rushed to him and tried his best to help. In doing so, the wolf came very close to the Hellhound, who by now was pressing his paws on his chest.
But then Fenrikur saw it. Something seemed to move under the fur. The Hellhound arched up in pain, while something from inside its ribcage stretched his fur.
The Wolf took another step closer. He looked at the pulsating mass under the fur. By now, there were sounds to be heard as well.
With a sound reminiscent of breaking branches in a dry summer, the ribs broke off the Hellhound's sternum. The fur split open and all at once a huge fanged maw sprang out of the Hellhound's ribcage towards the wolf.
Fenrikur barked a loud noise of shock and fell backwards. The very next moment he did not move anymore.
The maw, which protruded from the Hellhound's chest, looked shocked at the wolf. It belonged to Arkon, who also emerged from the Hellhound. The Tailmaw and the Fox looked at the wolf, which had been ripped from life by shock. Meanwhile, a blue glow began to appear over the wolf's body.
The spirit of Fenrikur took shape and looked at the situation. He was not amused by the situation at all. Annoyed, he looked at the body beneath him, then at Arkon the black and blue fox and his Tailmaw, and then at the Hellhound.
Arkon was visibly uncomfortable with the whole situation. The whole situation was only meant as a prank to scare the wolf a little. But the entire situation had become more serious than he had intended. Arkon looked to the Hellhound, and while two of his heads looked genuinely guilty, the third head had some difficulty joining in the general feeling of the situation.
The wolf knew that it was possible for the Hellhound to correct his situation. That was also the main reason why he was still in this realm as a ghost and had not already moved on. But at that moment, the Hellhound did not think of changing the slightest detail.
After all, it was Halloween and what would be better suited for this night than a Hellhound, a fox with a tailmaw and a ghost.
