So as Chapter 1 of my series Spike’s CYOSA comes to an end. I’d like to share some thoughts and other stuff.

Thoughts:
I really liked the idea of making a Choose-your-own-adventure story. Seeing how popular I was on Inkbunny and Derpibooru, I decided to have a go at it. Choosing Spike as the main character was a no-brainer. Seeing how he’s friends with different creatures, I was thinking this is how this could make the story interesting. I could also have it so Spike could have a chance to make out with popular ships, like Starlight, Rarity, Ember and so much more. So, I decided to give the project the green light.

Making this:
Obviously, there was a lot of planning going into this series. The thing with choose-your-own-adventure stories, is that you have to consider what the majority is going to vote on, and how the decision should affect the story. Basically, you don’t want to have all your choices not making an impact. I think that’s why Telltale games went out of business.

Then comes making the images. I used SFM for the 3d stuff, and then I used a Photo-editing program to add text and other effects. After the first choice is posted, all I had to do was wait until the voting deadline has passed, count the votes and decided where to go from there.

I had to make sure there weren’t any visual problems with the artwork. I checked to make sure there wasn’t anything clipping, and I adjusted the lighting around the map. I decided to stick to the characters’ normal forms instead of their anthro forms because making anthros was too much work, and I have a problem with their necks. Plus, seeing how Spike will be making out with other characters of different ages, having the young ones anthro would be a problem. So, I stuck with their show forms.

Problems:
I did encounter a few problems, but they were minor. First was deciding what Spike should look like when he grows up. My first attempt was to change his body only, but it didn’t look right. So I decided to just stick with the original teenage model and add wings.

Another problem I had was finding a good poll site. I wanted one where you would only need a link to see the poll, so nobody outside would vote without seeing the comic first. I was going to use the same polling website I used for deciding Flurry Heart’s skin, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. I chose heavy security for obvious reasons. I didn’t want someone to use incognito mode and vote multiple times on the same choice.

Other than that, I had no problems with this Chapter.

Other endings:
Obviously, there were multiple endings to this chapter. Here I will explain what the endings are, and what had to be done to get them.

The “Get Out” ending
Instead of knocking, Spike walks right in. There, he sees Ember sleeping, and her hindquarters visible. The options here were “Wake Ember,” “Lick Pussy,” or “Lick Anus.” If Spike chose the last two, Ember is wakened abruptly. She then attacks Spike, having him in a chokehold. When she realizes it was Spike, she releases him and asks him why he did that. Spike apologizes, and Ember says not to do that again. They proceed to the table, only Ember doesn’t offer Spike a bowl of gems. Here, her dialogue is much different from if the viewers decided on the knock-first choice. She wouldn’t be so open about what’s going, and the conversation would be much shorter. After Spike asks about Ember’s problem, his only choices are “Sick” and “Changeling,” as the unlock never happened. If he chose “Changeling,” Ember would get mad again and call Spike out on believing there are still evil changelings around. That’s when she kicks Spike out of the cave, literally. The chapter then ends here.

“Turn Down” ending
If Spike chose “Sick” after walking in, or if he guesses incorrectly after knocking, Ember will say no and that she’s in heat. There, Spike can ask if he can help her. If he walked in and licked her pussy/anus, Ember would say no and that she’ll find some way to pleasure herself. Spike leaves afterwards, happy he could talk to Ember, but a bit disappointed that he couldn’t help her. The chapter ends from there.

“One Night Stand” ending
If Spike is dominant, and he goes anal and cums outside of Ember, she will be unsatisfied. Unfortunately, Spike is too tired to go for another round, and while Ember did appreciate the pleasure, it didn’t help with her heat. If Spike asks if he could stay over, Ember will refuse. Spike walks out of the cave, happy he pleasured Ember. This ending is the same if Spike choses to leave regardless of how he penetrated Ember.

“Sleepover” ending
If Spike cums outside Ember after he went for the pussy, or if Spike cums inside Ember’s ass, Ember would be pleasured a lot. Unfortunately, she is still in heat, but not as much as before. If Spike asks to stay over, she would accept, and gives Spike a place to sleep. On the ground next to her bed. The chapter ends after that.

“Sleeping with the Dragon lord” ending (this is the one the viewers got)
If Spike cums inside Ember’s pussy, or if Ember dominated, Ember will not longer be in heat. If Spike asks to stay over, Ember will accept. They decide to sleep in the same bed. The chapter ends there.
