Like ants or bees, their colonies have one matron that is considered the breeding / birthing mother for their colony. They, unlike the others, do not have as many defensive bodily functions.
Sentinals, otherwise known as the guard or other birthing mothers, are equipped with barbs inside of their tentacles that retract, and can also administer poison at will. Most Squats / Squattens are capable of producing poisons of varying degrees.
Breeders, otherwise known as the males, have a thick, gum-like consistency to their semen. It helps guarantee a mating and reproduction (As well as makes shit as difficult as possible to remove) though tastes can change.
Squattens generally have an ejaculation / bodily fluid akin to one of their contrasting markings or similar. Their fluids all around are thicker or more solid than other creatures.
Some Squatten breeds and special species are capable of being both genders depending on the scarcity of males or females in a colony.
When in heat, Squattens are known to use their own tentacle tails or hip grapplers to masturbate to, and females can go into eat as often as several weeks out of the month every other month depending on the current populous of the colony.
Some rogue Squattens are known for creating their own colonies, or intermingling with other species like Squibs, Ratties, Eerays, and other rather exotic creatures. Some are extremely vain and will breed with anything they deem pretty enough on the eyes
