"description": "Before I get ahead of myself, I'd like to introduce a new type that'd be added to my dex: Sound. In addition to having a couple of new pokemon of that type, I'd be re-typing some old ones like they did with the Magnezone line when Steel and Dark were added into 2nd gen. In my case, the Exploud line would be retyped as pure Sound type, while Chatot would be retyped as Sound/Flying, and Meloetta would become Sound/Psychic or Sound/Fighting depending on her form. Offensively, Sound would be strong against Water, Ice, Psychic, and Dark, and resisted by Ground and Steel. On the defensive front, it'd resist Ice while being weak against Ground, Poison, and Steel. Also, most moves that are defined as \"sound-based\" would be switched to Sound type, and the Soundproof ability some pokemon have would work similar to Levitate, making them immune to Sound type abilities.\n\n(For those curious and not interested in doing the math, this would make Chatot weak to Electric, Rock, Poison, and Steel while resisting Fighting and Bug and being immune to Ground. Meloetta in Aria Forme would be weak to Ground, Bug, Poison, Ghost, Dark, and Steel, and resist Ice, Fighting, and Psychic, while in Pirouette Frome it would be weak to Ground, Flying, Poison, Psychic, and Steel, and resistant against Ice, Bug, Rock, and Dark.
