"description": "[ Chapter 2:Merchant ]\n\nThe wanderer was led into a courtyard by a guard. A reptile, their scales purple, much like the sand. Most likely a native of the area. \n\nA rhythmic echo of wood on wood clanked away in the courtyard, some great machine turning in heavy, ponderous circles\n\nThe machine was powered by slaves, who laboured beneath the heat of the suns, using what strength they had in their frail bodies to turn a central shaft for their masters.\n\nWater splashed about at the top of the machine.\n\nShe found the use of slaves distasteful, but right now she didn’t have a choice. \n\nAnother reptile shambled over towards her, its heavy tail dragging through the sand. A small rabbit slave hurried along behind him, they carried some kind of parasol in their mitts.\n\n“I’ve come to barter,” the Wanderer announced to them.\n\nThis new lizard didn’t respond to her.\n\nThe wanderer held out her waterskin, pouring it out to the floor. \n\nNothing but dry air came out. \n\nThey watched her closely.
