The moon was shining down from above the world, as a snowflake gently moves about and falls to soon been followed by others that fell from the sky, the one snowflake gently then lands on a black nose to view the face of Rose; the busty Houndoom, she giggles at the snowflake and began to skip about on the snowy path in her cozy winter outfit, behind her was Konjou; the 9-tailed blue Renomon, following behind as he looked gently at the sky.  Rose twirled a lil and breathed deeper before breathing out and spoke "It's so beautiful.  Don't you think so, master?" Rose asked to look at him as Konjou nods, "Indeed, the sky partially clear is letting the moon shine down on the white snow.  Really makes it sparkle."  "It puts you in the mood for Christmas." she said as she then stopped for a moment, thinking that her master probably doesn't know about Christmas and turned to ask, "Master... do you know what Christmas is?"  "Of course I do, it is also celebrated in my world as well.  The time to be w/ family and friends and give to gifts from the heart." he said as she smiles w/ a nod, "Yeah, I've always enjoyed it as a young Houndour, especially when visiting my grandparents in Johto's Ecrutek City." she said then wondered but felt a sense of fear in asking but spoke, "Do you have family to celebrate w/, master?" she asked as he was quiet for a moment thinking then shook his head, "No, any that I called 'family' passed away years ago." he said as Rose then stopped walking, she felt guilty talking about it while rubbing her paws a bit then had a thought and started to run towards Konjou.

Rose ran towards Konjou and reached out but just as she was about to speak she slips and falls forward, Konjou turns seeing her fall as he moves to catch her as she then sees a flash of white.  A young 15 year old Rose was wiping the window to see outside to find that it had snowed overnight, she looked down to see her father and grandfather were clearing the snow from the driveway and sidewalk, she turns to look at the clock to see 8:30am on Dec 24, she smiles brightly and jumps up to get dressed up, "Time to play in the snow!" she said and soon quickly ran down the stairs, Rose runs passed her mother and grandmother saying good morning then going outside to play.  She runs to then jump in a pile of snow that her father and grandpa had set aside, she then began making snowballs then once having enough she threw them in the air and used them as target practice, striking them w/ 'Ember' melting the snowballs to be water or evaporating them into steam.  She continued to play for a good while until her grandmother called from the doorway, "Rose dear, your favorite show is coming on soon." she said as Rose then turned and run inside to quickly change out of her snow clothes, she got in front of the TV and started recording the PoKe'MoN Battle Broadcasting Network channel to see all the different battles that was caught, Rose was especially anguish to hear about her favorite battler and secret crush; The Phantom Fighter Silver, the mysterious Ninetales that has so far set the record of traveling and beating all the Kanto Gyms in the least amount of time in recorded history.

She watched seeing and waiting to see Silver, then heard that news on Silver will be right after these commercial breaks; Rose bounced w/ joy as she couldn't wait to see her crush as she took out a pocket photo of Silver, she kept it close to her as inspiration and motivation to continue her training and wished she could meet him someday.  Then she looked to the TV and watched the report on Silver; he had faced the Battle Frontier as there were highlights of the fight then the reporter spoke of the best news for last, "And those are the highlights of those wonderful battles featuring the Phantom Fighter, Silver.  Now for the best news for those that live in Ecruteak City, he'll be passing through the city.  And from how he's been moving it is possible he would be there on the 24th, as he'll be heading for Blackthorne City for the next gym.  So best keep you're eyes peeled for the Phantom Fighter, this is the PoKe'MoN Battle Broadcasting Network, signing out." he said as Rose stopped the recording and was just in awe, "I... I could... really see... Silver?" she then gets all giddly and shouts for joy, "Oh my Acreus!  I could meet the real Silver!  Woohoo!  I better get ready!" she said to then get upstairs to do so.  She soon came down clean and dressed again w/ a bag as she goes into the kitchen and was packing some food, her grandmothers and mother were in there, "Oh my, what's the hurry Rose?" Rose's mother, Leera asked as Rose replied, "The PBBN said that Silver could be passing by here today, I'll be at the Center for the chance to see him." Rose said.

Rose's Grandmother Jane on her mother's side looks to her a lil concerned, "Oh?  You sure you want to be there all alone?  I mean, what if he doesn't come at all?  I wouldn't want you to get your hopes up, dear." while Grandmother Elizabeth, Elli for short shook her head, "Don't dash her hopes, Jane, you know she's in love w/ that handsome young Ninetales."  "Grandma!" Rose blushed while Elli continued, "If she wants to see him, she'll see him sooner or later and if it is today, she'll see him for sure.  Go ahead, my lil champion, we'll pick you up before dinner." she said as Rose smiles then leaves as Jane then spoke up, "Honestly, you spoil that girl to much." as Elli replied, "We couldn't have stopped her anyways, she's in love w/ that Ninetales.  And she'd wait weeks if it meant seeing him just for a few seconds, cause those few seconds will be an eternity to her." she said Leera nodded in agreement, "She's right mother, since the PBBN talked about this Phantom Fighter, Rose has been fawning over him and eagerly awaits to see him again, it is actually the reason why she records the PBBN now, just so she can see him and his battle techniques." Jane then sighed a lil, "... I guess she is really growing up into a young womon, isn't she?"  "She's still got a lot to learn, but yes, she is growing up." Elli said.  Rose was on her way to the Center w/ a happy skip in her step as she couldn't wait to meet Silver in person, she soon reach the Center and enters, going to the counter and spoke w/ Nurse Joy the Chansey, "Excuse me, Nurse Joy, have you seen Silver the Phantom Fighter today?" she asked as Nurse Joy shook her head, "No I haven't today."  "Oh ok, thanks." Rose said.

Rose was happy to hear that, it meant that she hasn't missed her chance to see Silver that she then went to a window seat to wait for him, she lightly took out for a moment at the PoKe'MoN passing by w/ their last minute Christmas shopping, she even looked at the lil Christmas Toyland display at the other side of the room in the Center, the lil figures moving about w/ the music playing from the speakers.  Rose then takes out the photo of Silver she had w/ her and looked at it, "I can't wait to see you, Silver, aside from my Grandmother Elli, you are my motivation to be the best I can be, maybe one day, you'll can teach me your tricks and maybe go a on date w/ me." she said giggling at the thought but still loved dreaming about it before then kissing the photo and sighed, "I love you, Silver." she said pressing it to her chest where her heart is feeling very good about herself, but it was ruined when she hears someone scoff then laugh as Rose looks to see a female Froslass named Breezy was next to her boyfriend, a male Dusknoir named Edgar, "That is the funniest thing I have ever heard." Breezy said, "You, dating the Phantom Fighter?  He wouldn't bother w/ someone like you, you are so plain.  Isn't that right, honey?" she asked Edgar, "Sure, dear." he said as Rose looked at the photo and begins to growl a lil then stood up, "You don't know him!  He wouldn't think I'm plain!" Rose said as Breezy replied, "Oh?  Have you met him before?  Do you know this for a fact?" Rose looked away a bit as she blushed, "No, I haven't but..." she then looks to Breezy, "But I know he's not self-absorbed and snotty like you are!" she said.

Edgar looks to Rose w/ the expression saying that she shouldn't have said that, Breezy then huffed and confronted her, "I challenge you to a battle, lil miss snippy!" she said as Rose then puts the photo away, "I accept!" she said as they go into the indoor battle stage.  They soon get started, but in a matter of 30 seconds Rose had the type advantage until Breezy then uses 'Signal Beam' which knocked Rose down hard, clearly Breezy was at a higher level, she laughs to then use 'Switcheroo' and pulled out the photo of Silver Rose had, "Well, well, looks like Silver has left you since you are so weak." she said as Rose looks and gasped to then pull out a half eaten PoKe'Block, she then looks at Breezy, "Give that back!"  "Oh this?  I would but..." she started then tosses it to the side and used 'Thunderbolt' on it which causes it to burn and fall to the ground, "It's of fire." she said laughing loudly.  Rose gasped and went over to the photo to stop it but it was to late, the photo was completely burned; Rose sat there and began to cry, gripping her fists tightly before then jumping up to attack Breezy, but she used 'Signal Beam' on Rose, which won her the battle as she leaves laughing out loud, "Keep dreaming, cause that is the only way you'll ever be w/ the Phantom Fighter." she said while Rose laid on the floor breathing a lil heavily and continued to cry as she moved to be on her hands and knees, thinking that Breezy was right, why whould someone as great as Silver the Phantom Fighter would ever want to be w/ her, she didn't want to believe that but had her doubts.

At this time, Breezy and Edgar entered the lobby w/ Breezy retelling what happened in the battle moments ago to her boyfriend, where someone at the counter heard this before Nurse Joy came over and hands over a room key, "Here you are, Mr. Phantom Fighter." she said as the shiny Ninetales looks to her, "Just 'Silver' is fine.  Thank you." he said, where Breezy hearing this looks and gasped to see the real Phantom Fighter there in the PoKe'MoN Center, she came over to see, "Mr. Phantom Fighter, here!  Oh, it is such an honor to meet you!  Can we have your autograph?!" she asked as he looks to them, "Sorry, but I'm quite tired and I need my rest." he said as she nods, "Oh yes, of course.  Sorry, bye." she said while Silver then walks down the hall while she waved to him thinking they were lucky to have met him.  Meanwhile, Rose was walking down the hall holding the remains of the photo in her palms softly sniffling, "... I... I want to believe that he'll accept me... but... will he?" she asked then at the turn she bumps into someone and falls to floor, "Oh, I'm sorry." she said as she wiped her eyes a lil and looks to see Silver, the Phantom Fighter as he dusts himself off a lil of the ashes, "It's quite alright, but... I suggest keeping and eye out where you are walking." he said as he reaches to then help Rose stand up, Rose was at a loss for words, first seeing then holding the hands of Silver.  She felt like she might fall again as her legs felt like wet noodles, "Uh... t-thank you." she said as he looks to her, "I take it you are the young Houndoom that fought w/ that Froslass?" he asked.

She looked away a bit, "Uh, um... y-yes... I... um." "I heard what she said, she was bragging about it." he said as Rose looked down, "I don't exactly tolerate poor sportsmanship... so I'm going to give you a gift to cheer you up." he said as Rose looked to him again, "N-n-n-no, you don't have to do that!" she said before he puts a finger to her lips, which made her blush as he takes her palm to be flat as he took out a piece cloth and laid it on her open palm then looks to her, "Do you believe in magic, young one?" he asked as she blushed and nods w/ a smile thinking that being w/ him was a magical moment itself, he then waved his palm over it as it then lifts up on its own as if something was pushing up from under it, Rose watched and gasped as Silver then pinches the top and pulls it away to reveal a toy figurine of Silver himself.  Rose gasped and holds it gently looking at it closely then to Silver as she holds it to herself, "T-thank you, Silver!" she said as he lightly touched her cheek wiping a tear from her face, "No matter the outcome of a battle that you've seen or participated in, you always learn something new.  So don't see it as a loss, but a stepping stone to help you improve, understand?" he asked, she smiles and nods, "Yes sir." she said as he then bids her farewell as he goes to his room to rest.  Rose watched him go then looks to the figurine and hugs it to herself and twirls a bit feeling lighter than air, where at the time Breezy saw most of what happened and was gritting her teeth thinking it was unfair that someone like Rose got something from the Phantom Fighter and not her.

Rose couldn't believe it, not only did she get to meet Silver and he spoke w/ her and best of all she received a gift from him as well, an action figure of him; no one else had such a thing but her, it was her prized possession and she was never going to let it go, not for all the money in the world.  She introduced herself to the toy, held it close and moved on towards the lobby, but before Breezy used her skill to steal it, Edgar came up behind her, "Hey babe, are you ready to go and eat some lunch?" he asked as Breezy turned to face him, "Not now, Edgar!" she said as Rose heard them and looked to then start walking a lil faster but Breezy shouted to her, "Hey, stop right there!" she said going to Rose, "I saw what happened and you don't deserve that, hand it over!" she said as Rose holds it to herself, "Never!"  "Alright, what if I paid you?" Breezy said as Rose shook her head, "No way, this is worth more to me than anything in the world." she said as Breezy then dangles Rose's PoKe'Ball earring, "Even worth more than this?" she asked which Rose gasp to find it was missing, "Give that back!"  "Then hand me the toy." she said as Rose quivered a bit looking at Breezy then the toy.  Edgar didn't like this as he then puts his hands up, "Babe... we're done." he said as Breezy faced him and they began an argument about this sudden break up and the reasons why, Rose saw this as an opportunity as she then tackled and took her earring back and ran into the hallway, "Dang it!  We're not done talking, Edgar!" Breezy said then chased after Rose, Edgar sighed as he sat down in a seat to wait.

Rose was running as she was holding onto her earring and the toy, not wanting to lose either of them as they both had to much sentimental value in them both, while Breezy continued to chase after Rose to then enter the battle room and Breezy used 'Ice Shard' at the other doorway to stop Rose as she looks back at Breezy, "So... lil miss snippy, how about we battle for the toy of the Phantom Fighter.  Winner gets to keep it." she said as Rose shook her head holding it tightly, "Never.  He gave it to me."  "You... you!  Don't deserve it!  And if I can't have it, then no one can!" she said preparing to use 'Blizzard', Rose wondered to herself on what Silver would do as she then there uses 'Fire Blast' as the 2 attacks collide they cause an explosion.  Moments before in a bedroom, Silver; who is really Konjou opened his eyes, "... that Froslass seems to be causing that Houndoom some trouble... I think it's time for a lil more... Christmas magic." he said as he snaps his fingers just as the explosion happened, the building suddenly goes dark as Breezy stumbled about while Rose ran out the door and head down the hall to then enter the room, Rose was breathing heavily as she sat down to relax holding onto the earring and action figure, "Oh Arceus... what am I to do?  I don't want to lose this gift from Silver, it... oh... what do I do?" she looks at the toy, "Silver... can you tell me what to do?" she asked as the toy then puts a finger to his face as if to let her know to keep quiet but also to be patient, he even gave a reassuring smile and nod to let her know everything will be alright.

Rose looking at it then smiles gently and nods, "... I believe in you, Silver." she said before suddenly looking at the door as it opened quickly as Breezy sees Rose and the toy, "I got you now!" she said w/ a light blue orb over her head, Rose gasped then when Breezy throws it at Rose, but it suddenly they hear the noon clock ring loudly as the orb stopped in between them and a voice was heard, "The powers that be on Christmas eve day.  There be fear, greed and hatred to slay.  But fairness I grant to both assurance to rest.  Now it is time to put you both through a test.  A race across obstacles and danger do await.  But what you do will determine your fate." it said as Edgar enters, "Here you... huh?" he asked as the orb Breezy threw then explodes into a powerful tornado of ice and snow, it pulled Breezy and Rose right into it as they spun around, "Breezy!" Edgar shouted to then jumped to grab her but was pulled right into it while Rose holding onto her toy Silver, "... Silver, help me!" she said as the 3 began to glow but before she knew it she felt someone embrace her, when she looked up, she sees a mist-like version of Silver there looking at her as she closed her eyes and pressed against him, as the 3 continued to spin in the ice tornado then soon stopped as the room was now empty.  The curtain that leads to the Christmas display waves a bit as an unknown wind blew them apart, it zooms in on the display as it shows the miniature mountains, PoKe'MoN, ice-looking glass lakes w/ fake presents and treats of different kinds, shapes and sizes, it even had a castle on one side w/ a sign that reads "Santa's Castle".
