A TV turns on as a Wigglytuff Reporter speaks, "Welcome battle fans, I'm Gloria Fonteal of PoKe'Battle Broadcasting News, live at the Ever Grande City Stadium Plaza.  And the time has finally come as the Championship Tournament of the Hoenn Region is about to begin, PoKe'MoN from all over Hoenn and even some that have arrived from other regions are here to participate, for their chance to face the previous champion after battling all others that have entered in the tournament, they are ready to fight and will do their best to make this tournament an exciting one, these PoKe'MoN will show their feats of strength, speed, stamina and strategic minds to push their way to the top.  Over 250 PoKe'MoN are here to battle but only 16 will advance to the main event, that will narrow down to the best 2 most determined and skilled fighters will battle one another for the chance to face the champion and be the next champion of the Hoenn Region.  Who will win the chance to fight the champion to be the next?  We'll find out as we're getting all the play by play action of the great battles in the stadiums as the preliminaries will begin soon after the ceremony.  Its day 1, there is tension in the air and the ceremonies will be starting this evening, I'm Gloria Fonteal of PBB News, signing out." she said as it then goes to the highlights.

Rose the busty female Houndoom and Silver Fox the Phantom Fighter whom in his true form is Konjou the blue 9-tailed Renomon stood and watched the news report on the jumbo screen at the stadiums outer wall, Rose lightly gripped her hands together and gulps a lil, "I... I'm nervous, master."  "I can imagine as this is your first real tournament.  But don't worry Rose, you'll do fine.  Just focus when on the field and do your best." he said as she looked at him nodding, "Yes, master." she said smiling as she was glad he was there w/ her for her debut.  Just then Amber; a slightly busty female Combusken speaks, "Well, well if it isn't blubber chest, again.  Here to watch me win?" Rose sighed a bit and looks to Amber and her crew, Joe aka Joker; a male Aipom and Rose's ex-best friend Marina; a female Marill, "In your dreams, Amber, I'm here to win and be the next champion of the Hoenn Region." she said and just before Amber was about to speak a voice was heard behind them to see the current Champion, Aaron Speare; a male Flygon, "Hey, if it isn't the renown Phantom Fighter, Silver Fox.  How have you been?"  "Good Aaron." Konjou said as Aaron chuckles a bit, "Still a guy of few words I see and whom might these been?  Fans of yours?" he asked as Konjou introduces them, "This is Marina, Joker, Amber."  "Hehehe, charmed I'm sure." Amber said moving in front and shaking his hand, "And my pupil, Rose." he said as Aaron looks in surprise moving to Rose, "A pupil, you say?!  Wow, you certainly know how to pick them!" he said w/ a lil wink as he Konjou cleared his throat, "Actually, she... chose me." Rose blushed a bit, "It's an honor to meet you, Champion Aaron."  "Please, just call me Aaron, all my friends do.  Hey, why don't I take you both out to dinner when the ceremony is done, my treat!" Aaron said and continued as Rose and Konjou continued walking w/ him; Amber seeing Rose getting all the attention was making her miffed that fire was bursting from his claws while she muttered angrily to herself, "... you... will... pay for this, blubber chest!" she said.

The ceremony began that night as all the PoKe'MoN that have registered to battle in the tournament have all assembled in the main stadium as the chairmen of the committee along w/ the current champion; Aaron, "Welcome challengers to the Ever Grande City Stadium Plaza, here you shall compete your way to battle the Champion of the Hoenn Region, Aaron Speare!" the crowd cheers as Aaron waves to them, "Welcome, battlers and spectators alike!  I wish all you fighters luck in facing one another on your way to the top where I, Aaron, will be awaiting the fighter w/ the most will, guts and determination to fight me for their chance to be the next champion of the Hoenn Region." he said while the audience and all the fighters cheered as the chairmen continued, "Now fighters, the Battle-Coms you received will tell you the stadium and arena number you must go to and face your opponent.  Every hour starting from 11 to 6, you will have a 10 minute limit to meet w/ your opponent before you become disqualified, the battlers w/ 4 wins at the end of the 3rd day will advance to the top 16.  Then on day 4, the battlers will have a day off to prepare or relax before day 5, where we will have 8 more battles in the main arena starting at 11am and ending at 6pm, taking us to the 6th day where we will have 6 more battles from noon to 5pm.  On the final day we'll have our last battle before the champion and the final challenger will fight and determine who will be the Champion of the Hoenn Region!" the crowd cheers again, Aaron shouted, "You all have a good night’s rest and I wish you all good luck!" he said as everyone cheered once more before beginning to disperse to enjoy the rest of the nights festivities.

Rose meets w/ Konjou where soon were met w/ Aaron as he takes them both out to a restaurant, "I hope you both have a big appetite, cause it's all on me!"  Aaron said as Silver spoke after clearing his voice, "You know very well that during the championship tournaments all food, rooms and treatments are free to the fighters and they're guests."  Aaron laughs a bit, "So true, Silver, so true." he said as they all ordered some food to eat, "So young miss.  You really picked him to be your teacher?"  "Y-yes, I did.  He was... an inspiration when he was introduced in PBB News, I just... didn't think he would appear before me like he did." Aaron looks at them both, "Was Silver na-Ack!" he said as Konjou smacked Aaron w/ a tail and Aaron looks around at what hit him as Rose looked to him confused as Konjou continued where Rose left off, "She saw me at the entrance of the her hometown, Lavaridge." he said as Rose looks to Konjou, "Um, yeah.  I was just returning from training when I bumped into him.  An after my debut battle in Lavaridge, I asked him if he would train me and he accepted." she said as Aaron looks to her, "Oh well, that's an interesting lil ta-wait, debut battle?"  "Well, yes, my hometown was my very first gym battle to start my journey and I... I didn't want to go alone so I asked if he could travel w/ me and train me as well." she said looking to Konjou, "I normally kept to myself but something about her... spirit... intrigued me, so I accepted to travel w/ her and teach her." he said as she smiled and Aaron laughs a bit, "You sure it's not because of-Ack!" he was smacked by Konjou's tail again as Rose again was a lil confused again but they continued to eat together until they finished their dinner.

After bidding Aaron a good night, Rose and Konjou head back to they're room and prepared for bed, "I'm quite nervous about tomorrow, master." she said, "Don't worry, Rose.  All you need to do is focus on the battle at hand when the time comes.  Until then, just breathe, relax and enjoy yourself." he said as she nods, "Your right, master... oh, I should give my family a call before I sleep tonight." she said heading to the living room and picks up the phone as she calls her family in Hoenn's Lavaridge and spoke w/ them, her family spoke about how they saw her on the news of the opening ceremonies of the Hoenn Championship Tournament and that they were very proud of her and of course her father asking if Silver's touched her inappropriately and she sighed a bit saying that he hasn't and is in the other room right now, before anything else was said her mother wished her good luck and that they'll be watching her win her way to the top, they said their good byes and Rose hung up before then calling her grandparents in Johto's Ecruteak, they said they saw her in the news and that they wish her luck in the tournament as well, but before hanging up she spoke w/ her grandmother Elli, "So Rose, now that you’re at the Hoenn Championships, tell me.  How have things been w/ you and Silver?"  "It's been very nice being w/ him." she said blushing a lil, "He's really been so kind and gentle w/ me and during the training sessions too.  Not that we've done anything!"  "Rose, it's ok.  I'm not like your father; I think if you love him, you should tell me." Elli said, "I will... I think I'll tell him, when I win the championship title." she said smiling and blushing as Elli nods smiling herself before they said their good byes and good nights then Rose hung up the phone and went to the bedroom where Rose and Konjou bid one another a good night.

The next day was the beginning of the tournament, Rose and Konjou were up from 8am, ate some breakfast then heads to the plaza though as they get there Rose was feeling nervous that he suggests that some meditation may help her, they found a spot on the grass, sat down facing one another and began to meditate as Konjou was speaking to her to help ease her mind, body and spirit into the tranquility of the meditation.  She listened to him speak while meditating as she felt soothed and eased from his voice, her mind was calmed by him and thoughts of being w/ him gently made her blush but she was focused and seeing her end goal of telling him how she felt and them both kissing each other she then opened her eyes to the beeping of her Battle-Com, she takes it in hand and reads it, "Stadium 3.  That's where my first battle will take place."  "Then you'll be fighting in the ice field." he said as he stood up and helped her up as well and both headed to the stadium, they arrive w/ plenty of time as he stayed by the exit as Rose puts her Battle-Com on the pillar like a cartridge as it takes her information, to where at the same time her opponent arrives and does the same.  The screen changes as the Announcer speaks, "Ladies and gentlemen!  It's time for the first battle on the Ice Field in Stadium 3!  To my right is the lovely Houndoom; Rose!  And to my left is the dashing Dewgong; Boris!" the crowd that was in the stadium cheer as one of the camera crew from PBB News was there filming it all that was happening.

In Rose's mind she was focused seeing that she was at a bit of a disadvantage facing against a water/ice type like Dewgong, but she would not lose this fight and would think smart like Konjou said to her before they arrived, "Since you'll be on the ice field, I will say only this; bide your time and hold your ground, glide around but don't slow down, let them fly and strike them down." she examined the field and the Dewgong as she grips her hands as she then took a stance ready to battle as did Boris the Dewgong as the referee signaled and told them to begin the battle.  Boris quickly uses 'Aqua Jet' as Rose uses 'Rock Smash' on the ice causing it to make it crack and part flipped up to block Boris' straight attack as he turns away and stopped in mid-air as he uses 'Signal Beam' as Rose then uses 'Double Team', Boris strikes them all as Rose secretly uses 'Faint Atk' to dash under then jumps and strikes w/ 'Thunder Punch' as Boris shouts and falls to crash into the ice and Rose lands and uses 'Hyper Voice' as Boris grunts a bit to then strikes w/ 'Ice Shard' as Rose uses 'Iron Tail' to shatter the shard to pieces where Boris uses this chance and attacks w/ 'Drill Run' as Rose uses 'Protect' to block the attack and move him away from her, Boris slides along the ice and jumps to use 'Blizzard' but gasps as Rose finished and attacks w/ 'Solarbeam' hitting Boris as he flies a bit through the sky then crashes into the ground, Boris grunts a lil as he moves and uses 'Aqua Ring' but Rose strikes using 'Swift' as Boris is pummeled by many star-shaped energy objects, when the smoke clears Boris was knocked out, "An the winner is Rose!" the crowd cheers as Rose smiles and helps Boris up, "Good match, Boris."  "Ugh, yeah, good match." he said w/ a lil smile as they both got their Battle-Coms and left the ice field stadium.

Rose walks w/ Konjou as she breathed out, "Wow... I... I did it.  I won my first big match, my heart can't stop beating so fast." she said as Konjou touches her shoulder, "You did well, Rose.  I imagine the rest of the day you'll be free to relax, as the other battlers need a turn for their chance to advance." he said as she nods smiling in agreement, they continued the rest of the day enjoying they're time off together watching a few battles, eating together and enjoying the festivities that came in the evening to the night and soon they both went to rest in their room.  Day 2 of the tournament began as Rose wasn't called in until about 5pm to Stadium 2 w/ the Grass Field as Rose was in the middle of her battle w/ Paul, a Gligar that was a ground/flying type PoKe'MoN that started w/ 'Sandstorm' that was hurting Rose as it continued while she tried to get Paul down so she could strike him better but so far has used 'Flame Charge' a number of times that have increased her speed where she was able to jump and strike w/ 'Iron Tail' but Paul was pulling all the stops when using 'Earthquake' but Rose dodged it by jumping into the air and attacked w/ 'Swift' and once on the ground she uses 'Flame Charge' again it was so fast Paul couldn't escape as she tackled him then strikes w/ 'Hidden Power' w/ the element of water in its mix cause Paul to blast and skid against the ground to the wall ending the battle where luckily for Rose the 'Sandstorm' attack faded before she took anymore damage, she helped Paul up and shook hands then gotten their Battle-Coms and exited the stadium, where soon after Rose and Konjou went to one of the centers to heal her wounds from the battle, she was happy to win her 2nd match in the grand tournament and was going to go all the way to fulfill her dream.

After having a good dinner Rose and Konjou both went to sleep peacefully, especially Rose smiling widely hardly wanting to win and be a champion but especially to tell Konjou how she felt about him and hear how he feels about her as well, she couldn't wait to continue and win the championship.  Day 3 of the tournament began where today Konjou explained that she'll be fighting in 2 battles today and when she wins them both, she'll be in the top 16; Rose's Battle-Com ringed at about noon as she was in Stadium 4 the Rock Field and when getting there she was facing against Gregor; a muscular Machoke that kept Rose back w/ 'Smack Down' to keep her on the ground while also using 'Earthquake' to hurt her but Rose was staying light on her feet and moving through the air to land safely before striking w/ 'Mud-Slap' to decrease Gregor's accuracy as much as possible and using 'Sludge Bomb' to try and poison him but when finally getting Gregor w/ a double attack to use 'Thunder Punch' in the stomach that paralyzed him as she then finishes w/ 'Iron Tail' slamming him into the ground but just in case she uses 'Smog' and jumped back w/ a hand behind her back about ready to form 'Hidden Power' but as the smoke cleared Gregor was done where the referee called it, making Rose the winner of her 3rd match, she sighed and stopped her attack and goes to her knees feeling tired after that, she was close to a defeat there but she was to determine to lose and after thanking Gregor for the battle she heads to Konjou and they both go to the center for her to recover from the battle.

Once she finally got into the center it was a quick recovery for Rose as she was once again healthy and ready to battle once again where luckily when the clock read 3p, her Battle-Com beeped and told her next battle was in Stadium 1, it was a water field where Rose cringed a lil on an automatic loss from falling into it, but Konjou spoke w/ some advice, "Move quickly when the motions are near to light up sky and what makes one weak may be the best solution between a win and a loss." he said as she was ready to battle Fran; a female Lanturn, the Referee signaled as the battle began.  Fran quickly jumped in the water using it to conceal herself in the depths, Rose was watching herself while on the floating platform she had her eyes closed to feel the vibrations, Rose jumps off one to the next as she just dodged a 'Bubble Beam' attack, Rose kept moving from platform to platform not wanting to get in the water while Fran continued her assault of 'Bubble Beam' attacks.  Rose continued to move then attacks w/ 'Swift' to block the 'Bubble Beam' but until Fran attacks w/ 'Electro Ball' hitting Rose as she grunts and falls backwards towards the water, "Damn!" she said then something sparked in her mind as she smiles a bit and uses 'Sunny Day' before hitting the water as Fran was upon her about to use 'Ice Beam' but Rose attacks w/ 'Mud-Slap' stopping Fran from attacking as Rose then aims and fires a 'Solar Beam' using the sun's light to use 2 strikes at Fran until she was splashed out of the water then back into it and floats up as she was knocked out, Rose swam up and stopped as she gasped for air then climbed out w/ the referee calling Rose as the winner.

Rose exited the water and thanked Fran for a good battle before they part ways w/ Rose holding her Battle-Com, "4 wins, I'm almost there." she giggles a lil, "I'll win this tournament and become the next champion for sure at this rate!" she said as Konjou nods, "Congrats, but remember Rose, it's not over yet, so don't lose your focus and stay on your toes until your goal is met." he said as she looks to him as her smile fades to a determined expression as she nods, "Your right, I can't let myself get distracted and lose focus, I apologize for my lack of discipline, master." she said while feeing Konjou touch her shoulder, "It's alright, Rose, you have the time to relax for the moment, but remember, those that don't know or accept humility and don't learn from their defeats, will never learn anything." she looks to him and nods, "I understand, master." she said.  A sudden scoff was heard behind her, "You'll never learn anything unless you lose.  Yeah, right.  The only way to learn is by winning." Rose turns to look at Amber and her crew; Joker the male Aipom and Marina the female Marill as Rose was about to speak but was stopped by Konjou, "Amber... you especially should heed these words.  You may find yourself lost after a battle has occurred, wanting answers to questions that will never come, until you yourself actually open your eyes to what's happened." he said as Amber looked to him as if she was hypnotized and understood what he said, Rose was a lil surprised at what she saw until Amber snapped out of it and turned, "Your just spouting nonsense, let's go!" she said as her crew followed behind as Konjou and Rose head to the center for Rose to recover from the battle, soon after Rose and Konjou enjoyed the rest of the day into the night where they both got to bed and slept peacefully once more.

Day 4, Rose slept in a lil longer than usual but awoke feeling fresh and fully rested as she and Konjou trained together at the center's training area until 1pm, then they both were heading out to the fairgrounds where they were many games and food stands to enjoy and have fun, but when Rose was getting herself some ice cream she then was stopped by a familiar voice, "The young battler has come far but to achieve her goal, she must travel further than she ever has before." Rose turns and faces the familiar Xatu's fortune telling tent, "Meltov, good to see you again, but what are you doing here?"  "I am only here to provide advice and guidance to those that seek it, such as yourself." he said while still gently moving his wings over the crystal ball as Rose looks then gently sat down, "... you have... something to tell me?"  "Only... if you wish to hear." he said as she thinks about it for a moment then reaching in her pocket and pulls out 5 PoKe'Dollars, as Meltov takes it w/ a nod, he begins to hum and chant as the crystal ball and his eyes begin to glow, "Two desires so grand, the balance of one will outweigh the other.  A choice must be made of the heart, but what will keep the soul alive.  The cost of one will cost the other if not more than bargained for." Meltov said as his eyes closed, "What do you mean by that?" Rose asked as Meltov was silent for a while then spoke, "You must choose between your dream to be a champion... or your love for your mentor." he said as Rose drops her ice cream to the ground.

Rose looked a bit pale as she looked at him a lil feeling like she was out of breath, "Wha-What do you mean by that?" Meltov shook his head a bit, "From what I see... is that if you win against the champion of Hoenn, he will fade away out of existence.  This... doesn’t make sense to me." Rose gasped in fear w/ a sudden realization as she began think back, Konjou is from another world and from what Meltov showed her before of her past in making a wish for someone to train her as well as someone to love, she didn't think they would be one and the same and more so didn't think Konjou would disappear cause of her winning the championship, "... i-is there any way I can stop this?!  Please!  Tell me there is a way!" she said standing and pleading looking at Meltov some kind of answer to give her some kind of hope, Meltov looked to her then looks to his crystal ball again, "... I can't say much... but it seems he is bond to this world until your goal of being the next champion is met." Rose sat back looking down, "So... I... I have to lose to keep him?"  "That... I'm afraid is up to you, my dear young fighter.  Lose and keep him.  Or win and lose him." he said as she breathes a lil heavily scared and sad, "... don't fret, dear.  Just look in your heart for the answer." he said as Rose nods then stands up and walks a bit thinking heavily on the choices of her being a champion of Hoenn or to be w/ Konjou, throughout the day she felt a pain in her heart as her mind was jumbled on what to do.

When night came they were having dinner as Rose was eating a lil but still deep in thought, "Rose?  Are you alright?" Konjou asked as Rose snapped out of her thoughts, "Huh?"  "I asked if you were alright, you seem to have a lot on your mind." he said as she shook her head, "It's nothing really." she said while trying to act casually, "No... I can tell something is on your mind, Rose.  Tell me." he said as she looked at him then away knowing she can't hold back if what Meltov said was true, she did want to ask Konjou questions, "... Konjou, do you... do you miss your world?  The one where you’re from?" she asked as Konjou gently looks to her and her to him as he looks to the side a lil thinking then replies, "... I suppose so.  Certainly seems to be the same here in some ways from back there... but quite different." he said as he takes another bite from his plate while Rose was thinking again, "... do you... like it here?  I mean, in this world?" she asked, "It's a new place so I have been enjoying the different places and the many battle experiences." he said as Rose then asked one more question, "If... if you could go back to your world... would you?" she asked as he looked to her, "... it is my home.  So I don't see why I wouldn't return." he said gently as she closed her eyes and nods, "... excuse me for a moment, I... I need to use the restroom." she said standing up goes into the restroom, once inside she goes to the sink and looks in the mirror breathing slowly then she slowly begins to cry, Rose was torn between her goal to be a champion of Hoenn and her love for Konjou that she didn't know what else to do or say at the moment but cry, leaning against the wall and covering her face wondering on what to do, lose the championship and keep Konjou w/ her or win the championship and lose Konjou forever.
