The sun slowly rose on the horizon as the small beach side town of Lilycove was gently touched but the light of the sun and over the hill walking towards the town were 2 figures; Rose a busty female Houndoom training to be the next champion and Kazuki "Silver FoxFire" Nobu a shiny Ninetales and the renowned Mystery Fighter, but in truth is a blue 9-tailed Renomon named Konjou that Rose can see his real form w/ the assistance of the collar and tail-ring that was given to her by him to help in her training which she accepted willing.

They've been traveling for a good while together and finished getting Rose's 3rd badge in the region, they were continuing to the next gym that was across the sea but they had to make a stop at Lilycove to get aboard the S.S. Tidal; but when they get there they see that the ship is going through its yearly maintenance and would be ready in a few days.  Rose was a bit disappointed in this but Konjou sees this as a chance to let her relax as the next day was the summer festival that when staying at the PoKe'MoN Center they trained for the rest of the day and into the night to where Rose was exhausted and went straight to bed after dinner, Konjou was in bed thinking to himself on what to do on the upcoming day of the festival.

That morning, Rose woke up ready to train but while they ate she asked on what they'll be doing and Konjou looked to her saying their taking the day off, this confused Rose a bit but he speaks about the summer festival today as he showed her the flier here in Lilycove, "I think this is a perfect day to relax and have some fun.  Plus consider it as a special reward for all your hard work and also in getting the 3rd badge."  "But I was hoping to train some more."  "Not today, Rose.  Today is going to be a day of relaxation and fun, also... you can't just water a flower to make it bloom.  It needs sunlight and air to become strong too." he said as she tilts her head unsure what he meant by that but they both head to the festival that was just starting, they saw many PoKe'MoN young and old in Lilycove came to have fun w/ the game booths and many kinds of food to eat.

They headed into the festival as Rose was a lil against this, "But master, why are we here when we could be training?"  "If you eat an Oran Berry everyday it does not taste as sweet."  Rose slightly sighed a lil as she watched him begin to play one of the booth games and saw a sign that showed there was a mini battle competition and she wanted to end but looked to Konjou playing and didn't want to leave him but she wanted to train some more that she spoke, "Um, I'm going to get something to eat.  I'll see you in an hour."  "Hmm?  Well, alright, I'll see you in an hour." he said as she then slowly became her walk to the food booth then to the competition but as she walked she felt a lil guilty having lied to Konjou but she wanted to train and get stronger and didn't feel there was time to just play games and have fun at a festival.

Just as she was heading to the booth someone spoke that caught her ears, "The heart aches from a burden you now bare, a champion's goal you won't reach w/ it." Rose froze and looked to her left to see a male Xatu at a table w/ a crystal ball and the sign next to him that reads 'Meltov the Seer - Fortune-Teller, Palm Reader and Seer of Souls'; the Xatu was looking at her, "Your aura tells me much, dear.  A burning desire to become the best.  A rival you want to surpass.  A truly deep love... that you wish to never part.  All that has happened... was brought on by a wish.  Interesting." Rose a lil surprised and curious goes Meltov's tent and sits on the chair, "What do you mean by that?  Brought on by a wish?" Rose asked as he held his hands over the orb, "Gaze into the crystal and see what I see." he said w/ his eyes beginning to glow, she looked at him a bit unsure of all this fortune-teller stuff but she looks at it to see what it held.

The images slowly faded in to where it was showing her as a young 14 year old Houndour as her breasts were about b-cup w/ some muscle tone and she wore a simple shirt and shorts, her family w/ her as they were in a bus traveling in the Johto region to visit her grandparents in the city of Ecruteak; when they arrived Rose and he family were greeted w/ great joy and also wished Rose an early birthday as it was 1 week away, Rose at the time didn't want to do anything but train to be a great fighter like one of her grandmothers; Elizabeth or Elli on her mother's side that Rose idolized came to her asking how her training has been going w/ Rose saying she's been great and will be greater in no time and be the next champion then Elli asked if she has found someone that's caught her eye, Rose questioned what she meant and Elli spoke on someone to love where Rose gently giggled saying she would never fall in love, Elli asked why and Rose replied that love was for the weak.

Elli spoke that love was the one thing that kept her going when she was going to the championship, Rose was confused saying that there was nothing about it in her dairy on such.  Elli smiles gently and takes her hand in hers, "Rose, my dear.  When I was young I fell in love on my travels w/ your grandfather.  And we were inseparable that while I fought for the championship and I found out... that I was pregnant.  An so I fought my hardest to win the championship and I did." she said as Rose looked at her w/ disbelief while Elli continued, "Soon after winning the championship I got married to your grandfather the very next day where I told him that w/o him, I would never have gotten as far as I have.  And I told your mother this story, saying that he was a grand fighter, a wonderful tutor... and the greatest PoKe'MoN to ever come into my life.  So, my dear Rose." she said taking her hand and holding it, "Don't keep yourself blind to love, keep your heart open to the chance for love." she said as Rose gently looked to Elli and nods softly, "Ok, Grandma Elli... I'll not keep myself blind to love." she said.

The next day Rose and her family were brought along to enjoy the once in a lifetime opportunity as the Millennium Festival was happening in the week of their stay and the last day was on Rose's birthday so the grandparents decided to make the whole week a special one for her; day one, they all got to go and have fun at the festival games and treats galore, Rose didn't want to play but train, even tried entering the competition but was stopped by her grandmother Elli that hands her the Wishmaker Pendant telling her to make a wish each night by holding it up to see the comet in the middle and closing a star panel until all 7 are closed and that her wish will come true and brought her to play some of the games rather than being in the tournament; while Rose played the games she was skeptical on making wishes cause she felt that she can earn it w/ lots of training but will do it anyways and on that night she held it up and made her wish closing the first panel.

Each day Rose was given a gift like a new outfit and even 2 TMs to learn some new moves but also was kept from the competitions by her grandmother Elli and each night she used the Wishmaker Pendant to make her wish but on the 6th day Rose had enough as she was tired of missing out on fighting in the competition to get some decent training in to be the best and threw the Wishmaker Pendant and ran out of the house; Rose ran all the way to the festival by herself that when getting to the competition to see the person at the booth, "I want to enter today's competition, please!"  "Alright miss, age?"  "I'm 14."  "Oh, I'm sorry; the age limit we only accept is 15 and older."  "WHAT?!  But the flier says all are welcome!"  "Yes, but look here." he said pointing out the age limit as she then looks to him, "But, but I'm going to be 15 tomorrow!  Can't you let me in this once?!  I really want to fight and get some training in!"  "I'm sorry, miss, but my hands are tied.  Maybe next year."  Rose looked down as she then runs crying heading into the forest that was slightly covered in a fog at the time as she then stumbles to trip at the steps of the Old Burned Tower.

Rose laid there sniffling some slightly shouting to herself that it was not fair and that she wanted to be stronger but began to doubt she will be at this rate, but then a voice was calling out her name that wasn't anyone she knew until the figure was seen in the fog as she sat up and bumped against the steps causing her to gasp a bit while the shadowed PoKe'MoN to face her then walked towards her as Rose was feeling scared but stood up and attacks w/ 'Ember' as the figure holds up his paw using a barrier that may be 'Protect' and when he dropped his barrier he spoke, "It's ok, young one.  I won't hurt you." as he came into view for her to see a shiny Ninetales standing before her, "Are you lost?"  "N-no..." he walks up and sits on the stairs as she looked to him as he hands her a few Oran Berries, "Here, you must be hungry." he said as Rose's stomach growls a lil and she looked and touched to then speak, "... yeah... I am." she said to then sit down and began to eat.

As Rose sat there eating the Oran Berry as it was very sweet and delicious while she also felt a sense of ease w/ this strange Ninetales as she gently begins to speak, "... I... I was going to enter the competition at the festival... but I... they said I was too young." she said, "You wanted to get some training in by entering the competition, huh?"  "... yeah." she said, "... you shouldn't worry so much on training, your still young and should enjoy the festival.  You can train every day for the rest of your life but you only get 1 childhood.  Don't let it slip through your hands." he said as she looks at him a lil confused, "... are you a fighter?  I mean... you look like one."  "I am.  But..." he looks to her, "... fighting isn't everything, when you fight as much as I have.  You realize the times of peace and quiet that you get... are like a berry." he said holding one up as she tilted her head a lil confused, "If you eat an Oran Berry everyday it does not taste as sweet." he said taking a bite and chewing.

She heard then looked at the Oran Berry in her hands thinking a lil on it, "... I... I think I understand..." he looks to her a bit, "I've been so caught up on training, that I... I forgot to enjoy myself and have fun at the festival.  I only pretended for my grandmother's sake... but now... I will enjoy myself on these last 2 days of the festival and not complain about training." she said as his paw touches her head as he was standing before her, "You’re a smart young girl." he said w/ a lil smile as his touch felt pleasant and she looks to him blushing some and his gentle eyes feeling better and happier now, "Don't over work yourself, you need time to relax and enjoy life every once in a while.  Otherwise, what else is there to enjoy?" he said as she smiled looking at him feeling herself uplifted from her previous sadness that she had forgotten about the competition, "Thank you, sir.  I feel much better now."  "Good.  If you'll excuse me, I must continue looking for my student.  Be well." he said continuing through the fog, "Good bye." she watched him disappear into the fog hearing him call out her name wondering why he was looking for her but thought maybe it was someone else that was also named 'Rose' and smiled lightly thinking she was lucky to have someone like him.

The sound of her name softly echoed a lil until it was the sound of someone she knew, it was her grandmother Elli as Rose stood up looking around the fog was slowly starting to lift as Elli rushes over and they both hug each other, Rose apologized to Elli for storming off like that and Elli apologized to Rose for not telling her why she couldn't fight in the competition, but Rose said that she won't enter the competition and was going to enjoy the last 2 days of the festival like she should have the whole time and so as the fog was now gone they returned to town and the festival where Rose wore the kimono she was given and did enjoy herself playing the games and tasting the food and treats that were bought then when the comet was in view at night Elli returned the Wishmaker Pendant to Rose as she held it and made her wish on it closing the 6th panel.  The last day of the festival came as Rose played all day and won many prizes and played w/ her younger siblings when they wanted to play a certain game and when the time came she made her wish on the comet and closed the last panel holding it to her heart and breathed out some, "... I hope my wish comes true."  "I'm sure it will, my dear.  Come, there is 1 more gift we have for you." Elli said as they walked to the top of the Bell Tower to where that's where the rest of the family were there wishing her a happy birthday as the bell at the top ringed for good health and fortune for all.

The bell soon finished as the cake was presented to her and they asked her to make a wish as she looked and thought some, "... I... I'm not sure what to wish for." she said while Elli gently lightly rubbed her arm, "You sure there is nothing you want to wish for?" she asked as Rose looked to her then at the candles as she gently smiles a bit looking to Elli, "... I think I know what I'll wish for." Rose said then looks and blows her candles out, the family claps their hands and cheer for Rose as she smiles then a light shines around her as she glows and looks to herself as her mother and father looked to each other a lil surprised as Rose then grew some in height and her body became more developed in her kimono as the light faded to show she had evolved into a Houndoom where this was indeed quite the surprise for her and her family as they continued to celebrate her birthday.

As the gentle smoke from the tips of the candles flowed into the night sky, small voices heard all saying 'I wish' as it flowed to where Jirachi flew through the air far above the region of Johto and was hearing the wishes that the PoKe'MoN below wanted, but Jirachi's eyes opened w/ a smile on her face as her 3rd eye opened and glowed as Rose's voice was heard, "I wish to become a strongest fighter and champion trained by the best in the universe." then heard Rose's voice again, "I... I wish for someone that... that I... I will love." her voice gently echoed as Jirachi lightly spun and opened her arms out to the sky w/ the comet in view as the central eye shined like the comet to then flash a lil in the sky as if connecting the energy from the comet to her own eye, "Millennium Comet high above the world, lend me thy power to grant the wishes of the pure of heart come true." she said smiling as the eye shined brightly over the world to show the light of a lamp in Rose's at their grandparent's home as Elli was bidding her good night, "Sweet dreams, Rose.  May your wishes come true."  "Thank you, Grandma Elli, good night." she said as Elli left the room closing it, Rose smiled looking out the window at the moon, "... I hope... my wishes come true." she said.

Her gaze at the light of the moon shines in her eyes then when she blinks it was showing and orb that glowed and backs away to show her face show her face as she gently blinks once more, the male Xatu: Meltov the Seer speaks as the orbs glow fades "Your wishes made that night brought you far to achieve your goal, but still more I see is ahead for you, that will take you worlds beyond what you know." Rose looks to Meltov as she smiles lightly, "Thank you for showing me that, what do I owe?"  "For you my dear, it is free." he said holding his wing to up, "Such a vision as this is rare and a treat, so I thank you for staying and sharing it w/ me."  "If you’re sure, thank you again." she said as she then stood up, "Before you go, I have 1 more bit of advice." he said as she looks to him, "Your bond will grow as you move as one tonight." he said as she gently nods and heads back to Konjou and found him having just won a prize, "Master!"  "Hmm, ah, hello Rose, weren't hungry?"  "No, just needed a lil breather and your right.  I have been training a lot and today I should relax and enjoy myself at a festival."  "I see, for a moment I thought you were heading to the fair's competition."  she looks down a bit, "I was going to... but I changed my mind, I want to spend the festival together." she said w/ a smile as he nods as they continue on through the festival.

From there on they played the games at every booth, tried all the foods that were available until Konjou looking at the clock nearby that read 3:45pm as he smiles a lil, "Rose, sign us up for the doubles part of the competition, I'm going to do something quick."  "Huh?  But I thought we were going to just have fun and battling."  "Battles can be fun if you let them be and I thought you'd like a lil battle for fun." he said as he begins to walk off, "See you at the gate in 30 minutes." she watched him go and softly smiled w/ a lil nod and heads to the competition and signs herself and 'Kazuki' for the double matches and waits for him, it was 1 minute before the competition starts when he returned and they both enter in the arena where he then gently spoke to her, "Rose, watch me closely and do what I do like a mirror." he said w/ a lil smile as she looked to him a lil confused, "We're going to have a lil fun." he said w/ a lil smile while she nods trusting him.  As their first battle began their opponents being a Kirila and Whismur as they began to attack Konjou moves to the side and Rose does the same but opposite him but after they did Konjou took a stance and Rose does the same and they both looked at each other a lil before moving forward to where it was like they were dancing as Konjou uses 'Flamethrower' and she does as well at their opponent's feet surrounding them in a circle then he uses 'Hyper Voice' and she does as well at the fire which made it raise and swirl around their opponents to then fall w/ them defeated.

Rose and Konjou continued throughout the competition dancing about the stage w/ such grace that the crowd were in awe of their movements and teamwork that when the last battle was set against a Banette and Dusclops to where they were trying to break their synchronized movements to where Rose was hit by an attack and fell to the ground as Konjou uses 'Protect' from a powerful attack shrouding them in dust, "You alright, Rose?"  "Yeah, I'm fine, I'm sorry I couldn't keep up."  "Don't worry, just remember, we're having fun." he said, "One more attack." he said as she nods standing up feeling that win or lose she was happy to be fighting alongside w/ Konjou and when putting their hands together lifting up he uses 'Hidden Power' as she does as well and the mixture of both his electric and her water surged between them that it caused the dust to blew away from them as they both stepped forward and bend down some to pull back their fist and thrust like a punch still holding their hands together as the power of both 'Hidden Powers' flew through the air to burst into 2 large orbs and exploded hitting their targets that fall to the ground outside of the ring and not able to battle any further making Rose and Kazuki the winners of the double battle; the crowd cheered for their teamwork and a splendid performance and they were rewarded w/ prize money of 5000 PoKe'Dollars.

Back at the center Rose gives a call to her family and instead of sending half like she planned Konjou said to send them a 3rd of the winnings to help them out while also telling them that she's been doing wonderfully in her training and travels and explained that she was having fun at the Summer Festival in Lilycove and she hopes everyone is doing well at home as well, soon after saying their goodbyes Rose hangs up thinking a lil on what Meltov said before, "Your bond will grow as you move as one tonight." and also what Konjou said as they walked back to the center, congratulating her on learning the move 'Mimic' and she was a lil shocked at the time that he did train her but in doing so in a different method that she asked why, "In order to learn mimicry, you need a clear mind and focus only on whom your mimicking, w/ your eyes looking and analyzing on my movements only, you would quickly be able to move flawlessly w/o second guessing yourself." he said gently w/ a small smile knowing she would succeed in learning it, she smiled and nods gently then walks to the doors to then stop as she sees Konjou standing before her in a new outfit as he hands her a lovely kimono that was custom ordered and told her to get changed as their going to the festivals dance tonight, she smiled and nodded taking the kimono and went to their room to get changed.

As Konjou waited for Rose to head for the festival dance w/ her, Rose was in their room having just finished putting it on and looking herself over smiling as she felt that he made this for her w/o even been told and fit her perfectly, she turned and heads to meet Konjou as he looks her over smiling, "You look very lovely tonight, Rose."  "An you look very handsome as well." she blushed as he walks up and gently uses a hair pick to comb it a lil then roll her up and sticks it to be on the side of her head, "There." he said while she looked at it in the reflection of mirror, "It's beautiful.  You made it didn't you?  All of it, I mean.  The dress and hair pick." Konjou smiled a bit, "... I did, I wanted to make sure they were just right on you." he said gently while standing behind her as she was looks in the mirror to see each other together as she gently rubbed her chest happy to have him near then they turned and walked to the festival together and once at the top of the steps of the fairground the clock struck 8pm and the dance was just starting so they joined in and danced for a good hour or so around the bonfire.

Soon both were standing on the sands of the beach relaxing, looking and enjoying the stars as well as the glow of the moon and the sound of the ocean, "... Konjou... thank you."  "Hmm?"  "For being w/ me on my journey to be a champion, I... don't know if I would have made it on my own.  Maybe I would have... but I'm glad you’re here w/ me.  It wouldn't be as fun if I was alone." she said looking at him w/ a warm smile that made her eyes glow w/ such joy as Konjou smiles gently making Rose then hug him as he hugs her back for a good long moment that was slightly interrupted by someone asking if they would like a photo, Konjou nodded as he and Rose took a standing pose and the photo was taken and handed to Rose, wishing them both a good night to then head off and when Rose looked at the photo she saw it was her and Konjou's shiny Ninetales disguise and blinked a lil in surprise as she was remembering the vision of her past self having met the same shiny Ninetales at the Old Burned Tower, she smiled and lightly giggled, "What is it, Rose?" Konjou asked, "Nothing, but can you make the photo show the real you as well?" Konjou looks to her not sure what she meant then had a small idea as he taps the photo to change and when moving it a certain direction made his image change to his real form and the other way showed his disguised form, "Thank you, master." she said looking at him as he looks to her, "Your welcome, Rose." he said.

The sound of whistling was heard behind them as they turned just in time to see the fireworks were shot into the air and explode in their array of colors and shapes under the glistening stars and glowing moon; Rose thought to herself on what's occurred throughout the day and that this was indeed a wonderful ending to a such a wonderful, mystical, fun and magical night w/ her master and love on the beach of Lilycove.  The photo she held in her paws was close to her as the light from the fireworks illuminated on the photo as it moves slightly; Konjou's image was split in half to show both his real form and his disguised form as Kazuki smiling along w/ her under the moon and stars on the beach of Lilycove.
