"writing": "Bursting Heat\nBy Olemgar/rodrigulino\nfor DayBreakShifter\n\nStory contains: Male/Female, HumanXFeral, Poképhilia, Love.\n\n\n\n“Solaris, dodge it, quick!” The command echoed from the young adult, warning the Pokémon in front of him. \n\nAcknowledging his warning, the shiny Eevee swiftly moved to the left, letting the metal sound wave hit the ground instead of her body. She looked back and nodded in thanks for the heads up.\n\n“Chival!” The Chivalreon said in her poké-speech, adjusting her metal helmet on top of her head. She had confidence clear in her face and step, donning her armor with pride. \n\n“Not bad, Theresia. But you don’t need to take it easy with us. We need you going all out so we can improve as well.” The human, named Violet, a young man with brown and silver hair wearing a thematically appropriate violet shirt, commended his other Pokémon, the metal type Eeveelution. “Right, Solaris?” He asked his other partner. \n\n“Y-Yeah! Give us all you got, Thery!“ Solaris said to her partner, readying herself for whatever might come next.\n\n“Val!!!” With the go-ahead given for her to go all out, she barely waited for them to be finished speaking for her to tackle the Eevee with an Iron Head. \n\nNeither the trainer nor Pokémon were quick enough to react to the coming attack. “Aaaaaaaah!” Solaris screamed out, being knocked a few feet back. \n\n“Solaris!” He screamed out to his Eevee, seeing her finally land near the edge of the impromptu arena. \n\nShe winced at the recoil, but with the usage of her silver tail, she was able to get back up. It seemed to do some damage, but her eyes were as fiery as ever. \n\n“Are you okay?” Her trainer yelled out. \n\n“Y-Yeah…” She answered, taking advantage of their bond to exchange clear words. “She’s got a pretty tough head, that’s for sure. But nothing that I can’t handle.” She shook her body to let any dust on her body fly out of her fur.\n\n“Valreon?” Theresia asked towards Solaris, with some worry clear on her face.\n\n“I’m good. Don’t worry about me” She tried to play it cool, but her breathing was a bit harder than usual while battling.\n\nAlthough she tried to reassure them both, Violet wanted to make sure they got their training’s worth. Gotta make that battle count. He rubbed on the accessory on his left wrist. “Alright, Solaris. Let’s close this match-up. Time to Burst!” He clicked on the oval apparatus and it clicked open, revealing a precious stone within it, producing light.\n\nThat light curved and made its way toward Solaris, like it usually did. The energy would converge their hearts and minds into a single temporary body, allowing them to fight as one and show their full strength. \n\nBut as the light got closer to her silver fur, Solaris shook herself off, making the light dissipate and scatter into the open air. \n\n“Huh?” Violet felt confused. That was certainly a first. “Solaris, are you okay? Did something happen?” \n\n“N-No, everything’s fine.” Her paws twitched around the soft ground in awkwardness. “C-Could we not burst today, perhaps? I’m… not feeling it.” \n\nA tad confused, Violet turned off the stone in his wrist. “Okay… Well, if you’re not feeling it, that’s not a problem, I guess.” He mused a bit further, and an idea crossed his mind. “Aha! You’re thinking ahead of me, aren’t you? Alright! Solaris, it’s time to mega-evolve then!” He reached out to the pin in his overshirt, touching the keystone, and yet another similar-colored light made its way to Solaris.\n\nAnd once more, she shook it off and made it dissipate. “Maybe not Mega-Evolution, either? Is that okay?” \n\nAll the while, Theresia was observing from the other side. “Chireon?” She asked, coming closer to her partner in battle.\n\nViolet seemed to share in that worry, making a gesture with his hands to call off the battle. After a simple nod from the Chivalreon, he sprinted towards his partner and kneeled before her. “Are you feeling okay, Sol?”\n\n“Y-Yeah… I’m just not in the mood to try and transform and stuff, alright?” She looked away from him, hiding her face from his sight. \n\n“Alright.” He patted her head caringly and looked up at his friend. “Sorry, Theresia. I think we should stop for today.”\n\nThe metal-type Eeveelution nodded as a knight would, showing a brief show of respect with her paw against her armor while looking dutifully at her trainer.\n\nThe trainer pulled out his Heavy Ball to call back Theresia, leaving Violet to look over Solaris. He spent the rest of the day looking after her, seeing if she was sick or something of the sort. But besides avoiding his gaze, she seemed as normal as ever. \n\nThe next day they found a passing trainer to spar with. Violet attempted Burst and Mega-Evolution once more, and once again Solaris refused to go into either mode.\n\nThis kept going for a full week. In every battle, the silver-furred Eevee would refuse to go into their signature power moves. This greatly worried Violet.\n\nThe next day, both Violet and Solaris made their way back to their hometown in the Torai region. He knew that if anyone could tell what was wrong with Solaris, it would be his childhood friend, Coco.\n\n“Say aaaaaaaah.” Coco instructed the small Eevee. \n\nSolaris complied, opening her mouth and allowing the Pokémon Professor (in training) to check inside of her mouth. \n\n“Thanks for seeing us on such short notice, Coco. I know that you’ve been busy with your Professor studies and everything.” Violet thanked from a nearby chair, watching his friend examine his long-life partner from nearby. \n\n“No worries, Violet.” Coco answered while shifting around her splattered lab coat and examining Solaris’ left ear. “You know I always have time for you both.” She smiled towards the Eevee in front of her, and Solaris smiled back, rubbing her head against Coco’s hand. “How has your traveling been? After so much you two went through, I imagined you’d take some time to relax and settle down for a bit.” \n\n“Something we should consider, huh?” Violet rubbed the back of his head. “Yeah… I do see your point, but Solaris and I still want to keep growing stronger.” \n\nCoco ruffled Solaris’ back, feeling its texture carefully. “But still, you’ve both been journeying for so long. I know I might be at fault for making you journey for a stone for… what, 2 months?” \n\n“3 months.” Violet corrected.\n\n“3 months. And that I might have nudged you into this path, but it’s important to take breaks. I wouldn’t wanna see either of you getting hurt just because you were too excited to get better.” Coco moved to her tail, examining its fluff and the length.” \n\nThe trainer didn’t have a proper answer to it. “I’ll… We’ll think about it, okay?” \n\n“Yeah, we will. Sorry if we’re worrying you, Coco.” Solaris says.\n\n“She’s saying we’re sorry if we’re worrying you.” Violet translated.\n\n“Pffff. You don’t have to apologize. You two are some of my greatest friends.” She stepped back a bit. “As long as you keep popping by and showing your pretty faces healthy and happy, there’s no more I could ask for.” She smiled softly at them both.\n\nSuch a declaration of friendship and care made both the trainer and Eevee feel all warm and fuzzy inside.\n\n“Alright, one last place to check…” Coco softly grabbed Solaris’ tail and raised it, exposing her rump to the two humans. \n\nViolet and Solaris went silent as the Eevee’s private parts were displayed in all glory to the professor and her trainer.\n\nViolet avoided his gaze. “Ummm… I guess it’s part of the diagnosis, but is there any real reason to check there?” \n\n“Well, normally it’s important to examine it for safety reasons, but I had a hunch this time…” The professor brought her hand towards the engorged spade, which immediately made Solaris yeep in surprise. \n\nAlthough for Violet, that yeep came out more like a moan than anything else. Which made it click inside his head. “Wait… You’re saying…” \n\n“Mhmmm…” Coco let go of the Eevee’s genitals and tail. “Solaris is in heat.” She stated clearly, heading towards the nearby sink to watch her hands. \n\nThe response made the trainer and Pokémon blush. “H-Heat, huh? I guess I didn’t count this possibility. That would explain why she seemed so shy and hesitant all the time.” \n\nSolaris didn’t respond, feeling her cheeks getting redder by the second. \n\n“Well, that isn’t that big of a problem. If she can find a partner to satisfy her, Solaris should be back to her prime in no time.” The professor-in-training answered. “Do you have anyone in your team that she could pair with? Preferably someone she has a good affinity with?” \n\n“Hmmmm…” Violet closed his eyes to ponder the possibilities. “I got a few males that could help out with it. What do you say, Solaris? Is there anyone in mind you got to… mate with?” \n\nA simple enough question, but one that seemed to upset Solaris. “No… Not really. I… would rather not answer that.” \n\n“Hmmm? Why not?” Violet asked, surprised that she would decline something that should be quite natural to Pokémon, in theory.\n\n“Can we leave it at that? It’s… stupid and I’d rather not talk about it.” She avoided her gaze, clearly getting more hesitant and embarrassed by the situation.\n\n“Hey, Sol. No need to get flustered.” The human kneeled so he would be at eye-level with the Eevee on top of the table. “You know you can confide in me for anything. There isn’t a single thing you could say that would be too awkward for me?” \n\n“Oh, I don’t know about that…” Solaris looked down, her paws grasping at the metal table in nervousness.\n\n“Please… If there’s any way to help you, I’ll do it. We promised to always be there for each other, haven’t we?” Violet brought his hand to pat Solaris’ head, feeling her soft silver fur against his bare hands.\n\nSolaris’ eyes seemed to contemplate the possibility, and after moments of internal struggle, she answered. “O-Okay… But before I tell you, promise me you won’t get mad.” \n\n“I promise.” Violet answered without hesitation. \n\n“Huff…” The Eevee sighed. “There’s one male I have considered for this. The only one that I could truly entrust both my body and heart to…” \n\n“Then you can tell me. I’m sure if we talk to him, he’ll accept. You’re the most wonderful Eevee I’ve ever known.” Violet reassured her with caring pets.\n\n“That’s the thing… I’m…” The next words seemed to struggle to even escape her mouth, but she found just enough courage to speak them. “I’m talking to him right now!” She said out loud. \n\n The next couple of moments were of Violet silently processing what she just said. Talking to him? As in she’s already had talks with that Pokémon? No, he would have known by now. So that could only mean…\n\nViolet’s face subtly blushed as his eyes widened in surprise. He staggers back to his feet in shock. “W-What?” \n\n“What did she answer?” Coco asked, intrigued by his expressions just now.\n\n“U-Umm… S-She mentioned it’s someone we’ve met a while back, and… that we should look for him. R-Right, Solaris?” Violet lied while asking Solaris to play along.\n\nShe didn’t nod, just looking to her side a bit dejected. But it was good enough for Violet.\n\n“S-So, yeah! I think we should go and look for him right now! The sooner we find him the sooner she’ll be back to top speed.” Hastily, the trainer put his Eevee on top of his shoulder and grabbed his bag. “We gotta go now. Thanks Coco! “Mhmmm…” Coco let go of the Eevee’s genitals and tail. “Solaris is in heat.” She stated clearly, heading towards the nearby sink to watch her hands.
The response made the trainer and Pokémon blush. “H-Heat, huh? I guess I didn’t count this possibility. That would explain why she seemed so shy and hesitant all the time.”
Solaris didn’t respond, feeling her cheeks getting redder by the second.
“Well, that isn’t that big of a problem. If she can find a partner to satisfy her, Solaris should be back to her prime in no time.” The professor-in-training answered. “Do you have anyone in your team that she could pair with? Preferably someone she has a good affinity with?”
“Hmmmm…” Violet closed his eyes to ponder the possibilities. “I got a few males that could help out with it. What do you say, Solaris? Is there anyone in mind you got to… mate with?”
A simple enough question, but one that seemed to upset Solaris. “No… Not really. I… would rather not answer that.”
“Hmmm? Why not?” Violet asked, surprised that she would decline something that should be quite natural to Pokémon, in theory.
“Can we leave it at that? It’s… stupid and I’d rather not talk about it.” She avoided her gaze, clearly getting more hesitant and embarrassed by the situation.
“Hey, Sol. No need to get flustered.” The human kneeled so he would be at eye-level with the Eevee on top of the table. “You know you can confide in me for anything. There isn’t a single thing you could say that would be too awkward for me?”
“Oh, I don’t know about that…” Solaris looked down, her paws grasping at the metal table in nervousness.
“Please… If there’s any way to help you, I’ll do it. We promised to always be there for each other, haven’t we?” Violet brought his hand to pat Solaris’ head, feeling her soft silver fur against his bare hands.
Solaris’ eyes seemed to contemplate the possibility, and after moments of internal struggle, she answered. “O-Okay… But before I tell you, promise me you won’t get mad.”
“I promise.” Violet answered without hesitation.
“Huff…” The Eevee sighed. “There’s one male I have considered for this. The only one that I could truly entrust both my body and heart to…”
“Then you can tell me. I’m sure if we talk to him, he’ll accept. You’re the most wonderful Eevee I’ve ever known.” Violet reassured her with caring pets.
“That’s the thing… I’m…” The next words seemed to struggle to even escape her mouth, but she found just enough courage to speak them. “I’m talking to him right now!” She said out loud.
The next couple of moments were of Violet silently processing what she just said. Talking to him? As in she’s already had talks with that Pokémon? No, he would have known by now. So that could only mean…
Violet’s face subtly blushed as his eyes widened in surprise. He staggers back to his feet in shock. “W-What?”
“What did she answer?” Coco asked, intrigued by his expressions just now.
“U-Umm… S-She mentioned it’s someone we’ve met a while back, and… that we should look for him. R-Right, Solaris?” Violet lied while asking Solaris to play along.
She didn’t nod, just looking to her side a bit dejected. But it was good enough for Violet.
“S-So, yeah! I think we should go and look for him right now! The sooner we find him the sooner she’ll be back to top speed.” Hastily, the trainer put his Eevee on top of his shoulder and grabbed his bag. “We gotta go now. Thanks Coco! I’ll bring you a present next time!”
“W-Wait!” Coco screamed to her friends as they left the building, running towards the wild outskirts of town. “What was that about…?”
