Slowly, his chestnut brown eyes rolled to survey the surroundings, amorphous and blurry, yet they failed to fixate upon any object of interest in the form of furniture. Amidst the endless ocean of sienna floorboard and monotone dusk, it slowly came back to him. The lace of morning fog had slowly receded over the crosswalk where black asphalt roasted by the sun had scorched his thick pads, adding haste to his footfalls; much to the dismay of his shorter friend. As upbeat and bustling as the familiar establishments that the young pair would later raid for food, they had prattled on and on about numerous topics among themselves. The pair's own trek through the doors of a local supermarket and then into the secluded shade of a tagged underpass had seen to a collection of candy bar wrappers accumulating in the pockets of Fret's vest and Rindo's hoodie, before a juice box had been eagerly split between the two boys. It was then that the phone situated in his other paw had vibrated, bringing forth a demanding and foreboding text message from his uncle to his attention - a summons home. ...What had happened after that? Why couldn't he remember? At the very first sniffle cutting through the silent air, an ashen triangular ear pricked towards the source of the sound. Rindo's eyes were as wide as the overhanging sun as his blurry vision stabilized to reveal the lithe figure of his best friend beside him, similarly immobilized through means of which incited rope burns and foretold of something sinister - something that the poor pup had been forced to relive time and time again, regardless of how many times he went back to rewind fate. Fate? It seemed more like destiny, he noted helplessly, as his ears pinned back flat against his skull after surveying the glistening tears rolling down the sloped face of his civet companion. It was extremely rare - if not unheard of - for the older to falter in the wake of anything that would dare to snuff out his natural sunlight, and yet Fret's crushing periwinkle gaze always met his all the same. Betrayal, confusion - a silent plea for help. Rindo's own gaze swam helplessly to the locket of brass fixed around his neck, dangling inches away from his nose against the cold hardwood floor - just barely within reach. Squirming against his binds as his fluffy chest heaved with exertion, his head whipped wildly like an untamed mount as he bit down upon the fabric obstruction jammed between his pealescent jaws, trying to shove the offending garment away with his tongue. Uselessly, iron rigs clanked above their heads like a sickening mobile, whispering of their secret attempts to escape throughout the hallways of the empty house. Rindo's eyes gleamed in the sudden ray of florescent light that shone upon their bound and twisted bodies like the beam of a savior - only, a shadowy figure in the doorway revealed to the pair at once that the house was far from unoccupied. Nor was its owner the savior he had wished for.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t | \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
And so it begins - drawing these two in various compromising situations is now my entire world. Hope you enjoy <3
