The last invention from this mega corporation were the advanced A.I partners and assistants, fondly named "Electric Hearts", that were available for the average consumer in early 2045. These were designed to serve their masters at their home or via their personal devices, and with time it was odd to find anyone who's family didn't own one, as they were relatively accesible.
Progress never halts though, and right after the Electric Hearts program was finished, research began into Hyperion's next big leap, the creation of life.
Considered an "evolution" of the Electric Hearts, the Artifice program kicked off development in 2049.
The idea was to create fully functioning, intelligent life forms, indistinguishable from any one person, while modifying their genome to freely alter their behaviour, personality, and even physical appearance. This project was kept under secret, even after it's completion.
Hyperion knows.
The Neon City is a place of happiness, peace, and pleasure. The next step in providing said happiness and pleasure is to provide living partners exactly to the likes of their owners.
This, whoever, would bring tremendous uproar and opossition, plus it falls in a massive ehtical and moral gray area, so it is not possible to make artifices available to everyone, or have them be a matter of public knowledge at all. The artifice program is destined only for a percentage of a minority of the wealthiest and most "exclusive" citizens, provided they are suitable to own an artifice in the first place. In the year 2054, after much trial, error, rigurous testing and many setbacks, project:
future, the first "succesful" Artifice, was born. In the shape of a young canine girl.
Basic functions and even some memories, along with her personality, were implanted into her before she opened her eyes for the first time.

To Mirai, she just awoke after a long nap in her lab home inside Hyperion, with all the knowledge and development of someone who had been alive for 8 years... yes, I am indeed adressing you."
The figure spoke, standing on the concrete ledge, enjoying the gentle warm breeze and the sound of the calm, waveless ocean.

After she was born, She was kept inside Hyperion for 3 years, in which she was taugh many things, but mainly was kept there for monitoring purposes and to check up on her. She is no stranger to physical and mental tests, she quite enjoys them, as she is treated incredibly well by the scientists, specially two of them, who were assigned to be her "parents". A big gray wolf man named 13, and a lovely Lioness named 20, also known as "Alice".
When Mirai reached the biological and mental age of 11, She and her parents were given a home on a lovely suburban area of the Neon City, a popular place for families. After moving, she was also signed up to go to school with other kids.
Her home is not anything incredibly spectacular, just an average upper-middle class 2 story home, were she currently lives with her parents, whom she loves very much, and who take good care of her.
Every month, a medical professional comes to check up on her.
She calls them "science people", and is very fond of them.
Mirai is a very energetic pup, she discovered a deep passion for videogames and sports, particularly gymnastics. Nowadays if she's at home, she's either playing fast paced action games, or playing in her yard, doing flips on her trampoline or amazing ground tricks and stretches.
