When I started an email correspondence with him, I didn't think Liam was going to end up requesting to meet with me personally. He'd insisted, however, and further, wanted to meet me at my home office rather than at the Guild. This was understandable, being that the home is quite a bit cozier.
He was dressed and well-groomed, and when we talked, I found that his life was lacking in major conflict. A college student trying to get along, and having difficulty dealing with the lots of little things that cause stress. He opened up to me easily, but what I found most intriguing... was something I discovered when I asked him what he liked to do to relax.
As it turned out, Liam was a hypnofetishist. He adored being put under suggestion, and specifically had a love of swirly-eyed effects so often seen in cartoons. As luck would have it, I just happened to have a leftover pair of holographic contacts from my Halloween costume last year...
The results were stellar. He took to it easily despite my inexperience with the medium, and at the end of the session, expressed that he was feeling quite a bit less tense. This was FAR too interesting not to keep him on an ongoing schedule. We'd have another appointment soon!
