Sure, it’s easy to get caught up in the potential conflicts between science and religion, but… it isn’t necessary.\n\nWould you call a plumber to fix your computer? A mechanic to cater your wedding? ‘Psychologist’ and ‘priest’ are different job descriptions for a very good reason- either one assumes their particular field is the reason for your visit. If you came to a priest with your life problems, they would try to solve those problems with faith. Likewise, if you come to me with the idea that you’re being attacked by entities beyond this realm… well, I can’t really do anything about that, so I’ll assume your subconscious lead you to me instead because those hostile entities are actually emotional problems- either issues that you’re dealing with currently and trying to submerge within an immaterial realm to give them meaning or attack them on turf you know well… or deeper issues from the past come to realize themselves as specters within your consciousness.\n\nI’m not saying that this is the only explanation, or that it couldn’t be those less explainable phenomenon. I just wouldn’t know even if they were! It’s not really my realm, and your computer definitely needs new pipes.\"",
