I recently decided to go with Sketch comm, and here's the result, and it's awesome ! Thank you again for it.
For the pose, just imagine Prince John on a seat, which is actually what he's doing xp. As I can't add it myself, I let it as this. However this was colored by me ^^.
Now the context :
The Idea being this pairing is based the concept of countervailence and censor in the middle age.
Since the day he became a minstrel under the stagename of Alan-a-Dale, Alan always had the ambition to bring merriment with his songs and make the English folk tales live on. He was rather good at this even if never reaching celebrity. Nonetheless this anonymity allowed him to go everywhere and live well enough tho from hand to mouth.
If he hasn't given much thought to that Third Crusade his king departed to, everything changed when his brother took the power. A bystander back then, Alan got wind of the awry situation in Nottingham. As a minstrel he felt it was his duty to bring merriment to those poor citizen, and to change the world with his song.
With his ideal in head, the rooster decided to travel to Nottingham. During his first days in the town, Alan could only assess the situation and felt he should do something to ease those folks. So he started to sings in the inn and get a small sucess from it, making him more confident of his role. Little by little his songs went more satirical about powers that be, especially towards Prince John and his policies... and if he did remained prudent with it, along singing at specific time in the inn : Alan couldn't stop some people to hum and sing his satire in town.
Reported to Sir Hiss by a guard, Alan was oblivious that the snake decided to inquire with the help of the Sheriff and one day captured the rooster and after only two week in this town, Alan was brought to John. Under Hiss' hypnosis, the rooster was forced to sing all the satiric songs he knew and composed.
But unlike what Alan imagined, the Prince's initial reaction wasn't to order his execution but instead recognized the orator skill of Minstrel and offered him to serve him trough propaganda songs. Alan refused and was imprisoned despite Sir Hiss' suggestion to brainwash him.
It was around this time that the feats of some Robin Hood and the Merry Men made themselves know, and Sir Hiss supposed that the Rooster may has a link with those. Or could serve them as spy otherwise. So Alan find himself interrogated by the snake and the Prince, but soon realized that the Minstrel wasn't subject to the hypnosis for reasons that Hiss can't figure.
Well, as Alan had no information and don't want to serve them, then they decided to find another use of him...
Shortly after his prison rape by the Prince, Hiss, the Sheriff and the guards, Alan was delivered by the Merry Men under disguise, having Alan joining the rebels for good in return instead of leaving the town.
