free of her lovers grasp as she crawled out from under the blankets. As she saw Lilly sleeping in the chair she reached back in and retrieved the small latex package and brought it with her to the kitchen trash, disposing of the evidence of her nights activities with her sleeping moose lover. Her stomach growled at her as she let the lid to the trashcan close. She moved to the the fridge and found a full selection of meats, bacon , sausage, and ham, as well as several cheeses, vegetables, and eggs. All the fixings for a omelets which were not there the night before. She took the time to start a pot of coffee before she rummaged through the lower cabinets and pulled out a fryer. and set it on the stove to warm while she started dicing the meat, cheese and, vegetables. \n\nThe scent of fresh hot coffee filled the small apartment as it seeped into the bundle of blankets that covered the moose. Daisy groaned and stretched she she rolled onto her back. A sudden sense of panic hit as she realized the always present ball of warmth was not at her side. She shot up to a seated position, wide eyed and ready to shout for her small mouse lover. The urgency faded as the back of Cecily's head came into view over the kitchen counter. \n\nLilly laughed at the moose as she watched the moment of panic and said, “Thank god moose don’t have claws and thats not an air mattress you're sitting on.”\n\nCecily looked over her shoulder at the sudden commotion in the main room. “Oh… Um… did I wake you up?”\n\nAs she asked the badger came stumbling out of the back room. “I zink zat coffee voke everyvone up.”\n\n“No, the pan hitting the burner got me,” Lilly said, “Then the damned chopping just stopped me from rolling over and going back to sleep.”\n\n“I… I’m sorry,” Cecily said meekly.\n\n“Sorry for what?” Lilly asked without turning to look. “ hey, stretch, get over there and help short stack, she can’t reach everything.”\n\nRising to her hooves as she stretched Daisy looked over to the liger a she responded, “yea, okay,” as she yawned, “not a pro…” stopping suddenly she looked over to the old badger, then down at herself as she realized her near state of nudity. Seeing no reaction on the older mans face, she blushed a little and shuffled off into the kitchen to help her girlfriend fix breakfast for the group.\n\nDetlev smiled a little at the blushing moose hermaphrodite. “If you're lookink for some sort of shock from zee people you are about to meet, you vill be sorely disappointed, younk lady. I’m too old to care, the other have seen zeir fair share of shocks to take everyzing in shtride.”\n\nCecily looked over at her girlfriend as she joined her in the small kitchen space. “Can you get me a bowl so I can fix the eggs? Their on the top shelf.” She pause for a moment as the moose reached above her, “Did you have any good dreams last night?”\n\nAs the moose reached into the cabinet above her girlfriend, hearing her ask about dreams Daisy fumbled and nearly dropped the bowl in her paw. “Umm, yeeaaaa, was I mumbling or something? I hope not too loud because I had one hell of a vivid dream… about you sweet cheeks.”\n\nThe small mouse giggled as she took the bowl for her girlfriend and said, “Yea, you mumbled… or something.” She reached for the salt and pepper as she began to crack eggs into the bowl with one paw. “Do we want three or four egg omelets?”\n\n“Three as far as I’m concerned, four is a bit more than I can handle,” the moose said in answer to her girlfriends question, “and for you two,” she added looking into the main room at Lilly and the general.\n\nThe two adults did nothing more than hold three fingers up each as if they knew the moose was looking. Lilly added, “load mine down with everything in the fridge.”\n\nWithout waiting for an answer from the others the small mouse moved the step stool over to the the stove and poured the mix of eggs and the fryer and sent a sizzling sound into the air. “Can you hand me the cutting board? Thats lilly’s mix. then you can chop up some stuff for you and I.”\n\n“Sure thing Sisy,” the moose said, turning with the cutting board in her paw. “here ya go sweet cakes.” After handing the mouse the board she opened another cabinet taking out several cups as she asked, “who wants coffee, and what in it?”\n\n“Hot damn, a cook and a butler. Do I know how to pick them or what?” Lilly laughed as she added, “two parts cream and two parts sugar to seven parts coffee.” \n\n“I’ll jusd take it black, zank you,” the general said as he sat back on the couch.\n\n“Comin right up,” the moose responded. A few moments later she brought two cups of steaming coffee to the adults, handing one to each of them before she sat a small sugar bowl and creamer set on the coffee table in front of the liger. “Don’t mind doing my part, but hell if I know how big a ‘part’ of coffee is, here’s the cream and sugar, now show me what you put in it and I’ll know the next time I ask.”\n\nDetlev laughed as the Moose finished her little speech, ‘I zink shes got your number Lilly.” He looked over at the young moose, ‘A part, regardless of zee material being used is an equal measurement of each material being used. Lilly is just beink an ass. Sge would have said it was wronk no matter what you did, she continually adds and coffee and cream to the mix almost ever happy wiz zee current concoction.”\n\n“You win this round, mouse bait,” Lilly said with a smile.\n\nFrom the small kitchen cecily called out, “There’s only the one plate… on the table.” \n\n“I got some paper plates, they should be in the…. fridge with everything else,” Lilly said as she sunk down in the chair a little as if trying to hide behind the small paperback romance novel.\n\n“And zee liger never does change,” Detlev said with a smile.\n\nLilly sat up straight and looked at the badger, “Why waste the effort of spreading the shit all over the kitchen, it’s all right here in the fridge, one stop shopping, food, things you need to eat it with. And if you’re lucky the microwave to cook it is on top.”\n\nCecily giggled at the two as if she had heard the conversation before. She looked over at Daisy as she returned to the kitchen and said, “If we had to rely on Lilly, Alex or Susan, we might starve to death.”\n\n“So they’re the take out or forget it kind huh?” the moose asked as she poured herself a cup of coffee, looking to the mouse and hefting the cup questioningly, “you want coffee or milk sweet meat?”\n\n“Milk, coffee stunts your growth, and I’m already short enough,” the mouse giggled as she thought about the old wives tale. “I think Susan was on some sort of diet all the time. Alex … I really don’t know. Looking at the kitchen she has everything you could want to cook with, but not a scrap of food or room of keep it. Lilly is your classic gamer, i guess, anything you can scarf down with the controller in your paw or hit the restaurant for a real meal.” Scooping the omelet out onto a small stack of paper plates only moments before she poured another mix into the fryer. “I guess it’s lucky for them I know how to cook. Hank does too, if you have an open flame or hot manifold. But he works off sea-rats and MREs half the time if you leave him alone.”\n\n“Well themI guess it’s good news for you hot lips, my mom insisted that all three of us kids learn how to cook, clean and do laundry starting when we hit the age of seven. So you’ve got some help with the housework and the cooking. Not to mention,” the moose said as she leaned down close to her girlfriends ear, “that I would love to make a romantic meal for two sometime for just me and my sexy girlfriend.”\n\nThe small mouse smiled as she poured some ham and cheese into the fryer with the eggs. “So.. um… when are you going to introduce me to your sexy girlfriend?” She paused for a moment, “Anyway, I don't think cleaning will be an issue. Not looking at this place, or Susan’s. Hank might be a bit of a slob though.” she fell silent for moment before she began to softly hum a tune as she cooked.\n\nDaisy leaned back against the counter as she watched the mouse cooking breakfast for the small group. “The next time you look in a mirror, you’ll see my sexy girlfriend. She’s a really cute, super sweet kangaroo mouse, and she stole my heart nearly the moment I met her. I’ve heard she can cook too, but I can’t say for sure about that part yet.”\n\nCecily finished off the second omelet, as she slipped it out of the fryer on the paper plates she called out, “Come get it.” as Lilly got the two plats and took them back to the coffee table the small mouse turned to Daisy and asked, “What do you want in ours? I would normally just scrape whatever is left into mine.” She moved back over to the counter and began mixing and beating the egg concoction. \n\n“Surprise me sweet cheeks, I’m not a big meat eater like lilly is, but I’m not a vegetarian either so go from there, anything else you want me to do while you're fixing ours? Toast maybe?” the moose said as she looked into the refrigerator, “or not I guess. I take it she’s not a big bread eater either.”\n\n“She… um… she doesn’t really think about it more than… the main dish. The only reason she gets sides at the restaurant is because they are listed on the menu.” she started dicing some meat and vegetables into a small pile. “She tries hard , but she has really only had herself to take care of for so long…” Cecily trailed off as she moved to the stove with the fixing for their breakfast. “...She… she needs someone to take care of her also.”\n\n“Well lucky for her she has you now to keep after her, but then again now I’ve come into the picture and messed things up. Damn it, why do you have to be so damn cute?,” the moose said jokingly as she walked over and kissed her girlfriend softly on the cheek. \n\nCecily giggled as her girlfriend kissed her on the cheek. “If you’re messing things up, I don’t want them to be right.” The small kangaroo mouse finished cooking the tie mix of eggs cheese, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and ham and dished it out on a plate. She walked over to the littler table then looked back at the moose and asked, where am I supposed to sit if you’re standing over there?” \n\n“I’ll be right there sweet cheeks, just gonna grab more coffee first,” the moose replied as she refilled her cup before turning to look at the mouse again, “don’t get your panties in a wad, it’ll make you walk funny.”\n\nThe mouse looked over at her girlfriend with a smile and said, “If I walk funny I don’t think it will have anything to do with my panties.”\n\nLilly looked in at the small table and said, “Other than shopping so we have something to eat we have no plans for the next few days. You two are pretty much free to do what you want while I try to see what might be wrong with the Camaro. Thursday we will pack the place out and friday touch up the cleaning before we leave for… The new house.”\n\n“The what? New house? How the hell did that happen when you had no solid plans just a few days ago?”, the moose asked as she stared at the liger with a shocked look on her face.\n\n“Well, they may not have closed on a house yet, I gave them till Friday. We should have something to walk into by then,” The liger looked at the moose, “It does not take me long to get things rolling once I have a target. Unless you want to live on a campground until we find someting. I can call Alex and tell her to slow down for you. But she said she found the perfect place for our plans. I trust her enough to let hank look the place over and haggle the price some. Besides, I still need to show up at the school some time so that I can register you two and look over my new classroom.”\n\n“No that wasn’t what I… “ the moose began, “it’s just that it usually takes longer to get into a place as far as I know is all. I guess I should have learned by now you don’t really do things by the book all the time, sorry.”\n\nLilly walked into the kitchen and paused a moment as she looked down into the trashcan before she dropped the paper plate in. “Well, to tell the truth I was expecting it to take a lot longer, but I told them they had a week.” She glanced at Cecily who blushed and smiled shyly as she sat in daisy’s lap. “Alex said she found something that has been sitting on the market for a while that they may be willing to close on fast. And I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t mind having a place to call home the same day we arrive. Those two girls have surprised me with a lot of things when I give them impossible tasks. Squeaky right there is a perfect example of their efforts to do what ‘can’t be done.’”\n\n“Oh, I didn’t realise they were the ones that helped with that,” Daisy said looking down at the top of her girlfriends head, curious about the blush that came to the small mouses ears. “If it’s been sitting empty a while then the owners may want to unload it as quick as they can with the housing market so messed up. That could work in your favor for sure.”\n\n“That’s the plan, or was until Susan pulled that shit at the park,” The liger shook her head as she walked back to the main room and sat down. “Sometimes I think it might have been better to keep those two in separate states, but they work so well together. The shit they manage to get into … and out of together amazes me sometimes.”\n\nAs she and the liger had talked Daisy and Cecily had somehow managed to finish their breakfast before the moose realized it. gently poking her girlfriend in the ribs she said, “okay sweetpea, let me up so I can toss this in the trash and we’ll go clean up the kitchen real quick.”\n\nCecily slipped out of her girlfriend's lap and walked over to put the now cool frying pan in the sink. She watched the moose closely with the same shy little smile as she started to fill the sink with water. and added soap. She looked away into the sink as the moose approached the trashcan, and her blush deepened. \n\nGlancing into the trash receptacle out of habit before tossing the paper plate into it Daisy stopped for a moment, seeing what it was that had caused the liger to react in a similar manner a few minutes ago. Looking over to the small mouse at the sink, the girls blush evident clearly from the pink hue of her inner ears, cheeks and neck, the moose herm said a silent thank you to whatever force of the cosmos had stilled the ligers tongue from commenting on the partially filled condom in plain view. Her own lighter colored fur showing a similar shade of pink Daisy walked over to the mouse and began to appear to be searching for a dish towel. Leaning in close , her voice so low she hoped only the small mouse could hear she asked, “that wasn’t a dream last night was it trail mix?”\n\nCecily spoke quietly as she washed the pan, “Well.. you were dreaming… and I’m sure you would have ended in the same basic place…” She smiled unable to look up and make eye contact at the moment, “I didn’t want to have to wake up in the middle of the night to take a shower and figure out a new place to sleep… not if I wasn’t the reason anyway.” She handed the pan to the moose as she moved onto the next bowl. “It… it only made sense to um… wrap it up… and…. you’re so warm. I… I had to touch you while I put it on…” She turned to look up at the moose and spoke just a little louder, “Oh God, Daisy, you don’t know how hard it is to not just...take total advantage of you when you're all ready to go like that. Lilly had gone out shopping and…” She looked back down at the dishwater, “... I um kinda let you do what you did when… jeez that was an oily mess that time.”\n\nHer blush deepening as the small mouse spoke Daisy held the towel in one paw, the pan in the other for several long moments before she remembered what she was doing and dried the pan setting it on the counter when she was through. “Oh… ummm, okay I,” she stammered, “damn it, I don’t know why sweet lips, but being with you just… and since we… and the things you…”, dropping her head for a few moments, breathing deeply trying to regain her composure her paw drifted to the mouses firm, round rump, groping and squeezing each cheek a few times before she spoke again. “I understand better than you realize Sisy. It’s nearly impossible for me to keep my paws off you at times. Especially when you curl up so tight against me and cuddle with me like you do. I just… I guess I’m still kind of worried about hurting you if I let my guard down too much.” She stopped speaking as she dried the bowl and thought about what she wanted to say. As she placed the dry bowl in the pan she turned and looked her girlfriend in the eyes, “Okay here it is flat out sweet lips, I’m worried that I could do the same thing to you that I did to Paul without even realising it. I could have really hurt him, and I’m pretty sure I would hurt you. I couldn’t stand myself if I did that SIsy.”\n\nThe small mouse finished washing the utensils she used to chop , mix and cook as a moment of silence passed. As she looked up at her lover, deep into her beautiful emerald green eyes, the beginning of tears forming in her own. “Sh should we st stop sleeping together?” She blinked as she looked down. “I… I don’t want to. I trust you. You wont hurt me, I know you wont.” \n\n“No, I don’t want to either, I just… it worries me is all sweet cheeks. I would never knowingly do anything again to hurt you, but that… that happened when I was asleep and after you … “ Shaking her head slowly as she thought Daisy looked into her girlfriends eyes again, “you have to promise me one thing Sisy, and I mean this. If I start doing anything that you don’t want when I’m asleep, or if you do… that kind of stuff again and I start getting out of hand, you have to stop me, even if you have to run do it okay? I mean it I could not live with myself if I hurt you doing anything like that when I’m asleep and can’t really control it. You have to promise me that.”\n\nCecily looked up Daisy, “I… I promise.” She stepped off the stool onto the floor, “Daisy, We have three days and Lilly has no plans… and I was wrong, she didn’t get the TV and console out.” She leaned against daisy’s leg as she asked, “What do you want to do… other than the obvious,” She finished with a giggle.\n\n“No idea, never been to Chicago before, I wonder where we get the visitors pamphlets at around here,” the moose replied giggling as she scooped the mouse into her arms hugging her tightly.\n\nFrom the other room the liger said, “You stop by any major hotel and they often have them in the lobby. You’ll want to take the tasers, Chicago is not firearms friendly. Or take the reneger, it’s in the center console of the… Shit… the U-Haul in the storage. if you take that, remember, kneecaps.”\n\nLooking at her lover Daisy asked, “so sweetcheeks, weapon of choice?”\n\n“I… I think the tasers should be okay. I don’t want to get in any trouble,” the mouse said as she looked in the moose’s eyes and licked her lips seductively. “But if you want to bring a fully loaded gun, I won’t stop you.”\n\nLilly snickered and said, “Yea, whipping that out might send some of them packing.”\n\n“Lilly!” Delev looked at her sternly as if reprimanding a child.\n\n“What?” She asked as she sat the book she was reading in her lap, “use every advantage you have, and I’ll be damned if that’s not one of her advantages.”\n\n“You don’t know how people will react to zat here. You chould use caution, and try to obey zee laws, even if zey are foolish.” he looked over at the couple, “Zere is an art museum and zee Zear Tower, even if zee chinks bought it out, it is still an impressive sight if you have not zeen it.”\n\nCecily looked up at her girl friend, “Daisy, there is something I would like to see. The Art Institute.” She looked down at the floor and continued softly, “But… um… That’s kind of boring I guess.”\n\n“Well that depends more on who you go with trail mix, it’s kind of hard to be bored when I’m with you. If that’s what you want to do then let’s go,” the moose said happily, “just let me grab some clothes and we’re outa here.”\n\nLilly looked at the two and said, “There’s no parking anywhere near anything you actually want to see. You’ll have to park in a deck and take the bus to wherever. The standards are simple, Sisy is ten years old, that should but the cost in half, and is believable. One of you should download the metro app for the busses. And, even though I don’t think I need to say it with you two, stay together.” She looked over at Cecily for a moment, “your S.T.R.I.K.E.R. is in my bag, with two extra cartridges.”\n\n“Oh we’ll stay together, I’m not about to let her out of my sight somewhere that I know absolutely no one. I’ll grab my stun gun when we park.” Daisy said as she rummaged through the small pack. “And if all else fails, like Lilly said I can just whip it out and we won’t have many to deal with after the wimps run off.”\n\nLilly looked over at the general with a smirk, “See, she said it too.”\n\nCecily swiftly got dressed in her generic tshirt and jeans and went through the basic routine of checking what she had in her bag as Lilly watched. When Cecily finished Lilly added one last comment before they left. “The panic app still works. Hit the button and keep moving if you have to, it will lead us right to you. There is nothing wrong with running.”\n\n“You got it lilly, Sisy you getting the bus app or am I?” the moose asked as she pulled on a bright orange t-shirt, the Soundgarden triple skulls image emblazoned in white across her chest. As she sat on the end of the couch to pull on a pair of stark white ankle socks she adde, “fuck it, you get the app, you’re the navigator anyway.”\n\nAs the moose dressed Cecily downloaded the app, as she said, “There is also a mall less than a mile from the Institute.”\n\n“They list the stores? Anything good in it or just the usual girl girl shops?”, Daisy asked as she rolled her eyes.\n\n“The stores looked like crap, not even a music shop. But I was thinking, they have parking there. We can walk to the art Institute and not pay parking and bus fare.” \n\n“Works for me if it flies with lilly,” Daisy replied as she jerked a thumb over her shoulder at the liger.\n\n“Shoot first, Steal their wallet while they’re still twitching, then run,” Lilly said as she picked her book back up and started reading again. “And if you can get away with it, buy a nice outfit and a meal on them.”\n\n“Now that sounds like an idea, though I’d just as soon the creeps leave us alone. Come on sweet meat, let’s go check out the arts, it can’t be any worse than this museum,” the moose said as she headed for the door, stopping to grab her shoes before she left.\n\nThe couple left the apartment and headed toward downtown, within moments the found themselves trapped in the a line of cars that looked like it stretched for miles. Cecily pulled out her cell phone and started tapping at the screen. “There’s an accident, Turn left at the next light.” Daisy worked hard to maneuver the sedan in the bumper to bumper traffic as the other drivers seemed to refuse to cooperate with her Slowly they moved through the city at what felt like a snails pace as they had to turn around several times to get pointed in the right direction due to the inconsiderate drivers of the northern city. The couple had been honked at almost consistently with each maneuver the moose made within the traffic, each blast of the nearby horn earned a squeak from the small navigator as she kept her head low not looking out into the world around them. Daisy followed the directions given by her co pilot as best as she could when she was finally directed to turn into a multi level parking center. \n\nCecily looked over at the agitated moose as she finally pulled the car into a space deep within the structure. “Are you okay, Daisy?”\n\n“No, but I will be, what the fuck is it with these people? Did they all leave their fucking brains at home in bed when they left? And where the hell did they get their drivers licenses? Out of a cereal box?” the moose vented as her paws tightly gripped the steering wheel. “ARRRRRRRRGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGF”, she screamed loudly, shaking her head as if she were having a seizure for several seconds before she stopped. “FUCK these people are assholes….” Slumping down in her seat slight Daisy looked over to her girlfriend, an apologetic look in her eyes. “Sorry about that SIsy, but hell the traffic around Denver isn’t this bad… okay it is this bad as far as the traffic, but at least the people act like they have some fucking sense.”\n\nCecily unbuckled her seatbelt and grabbed her backpack as she said, “I don’t like Chicago, it’s too loud. I couldn’t tell who was honking at who.” She huddled into the seat as she clutched her backpack, “I… I don’t think I could have driven in all that.”\n\n“I almost wish I hadn’t damn this place is a mess, why the hell would anyone live here by choice? Okay after that a nice quiet art institute sounds good to me. Let’s got hot lips,” the moose said as she unfastened her seat belt and opened her door to get out.\n\nThe pair walked through the streets, paw in paw, as they made their way to the galleries. Cecily held tight to daisy as sthe moved through the crowded streets until they finally made it to a large open grass field, As the crowd faded into the open space the small mouse seemed to relax. In the distance they could see the Large building that was their destination. The kangaroo mouse bounced as the signs came into view, “There it is,” She nearly squeaked as she started to pull her girlfriend along the sidewalk.\n\nWhen they finally reached the large building and ascended the stairs to the admissions area they were they were stopped by a security officer, “Excuse me ladies, but you will have to check those bags in over at the security counter. You are welcome to take cameras.”\n\nCecily froze in her tracks as she squeezed Daisy’s paw tightly as she looked at the man and said, “But, I thought sketching was allowed.”\n\n‘Yes, ma’am, “he replied, “you can get a courtesy bag to carry your art supplies and any valuables you may have. We just can’t allow backpacks or other large bags into the galleries.”\n\nThe small mouse looked up at her girlfriend as she slipped the backpack off her shoulder and went over to check it in. She rummaged through and pulled out her sketchbook, pencils and camera. She watched nervously as the checking attendant tagged the bag and placed it on a shelf alongside several others before she was handed the courtesy bag for her supplies. Daisy followed suit and checked her bag at the small desk before they paid their admission and were ushered into the large building. \n\nAs soon as they were past the door into the museum Cecily's demeanor changed. Even with the crowded halls, she seemed more relaxed and collected than she was when they walked through the city. The end of her tail wrapped around Daisy’s wrist as she held her camera with both paws. Slowly and quietly the pair moved from gallery to gallery as the small mouse snapped photos and read just about every plaque. She seemed to revel in the collections of medieval art and renaissance sculptures. Daisy watched as she was led through exhibits of art that spanned the globe. Cecity once again seemed so immersed in her activities that if her tail was not tethered to the larger moose, Daisy though she might wander off without even realizing it. After hours of wandering through the exhibits the small mouse sat on a bench in front of a selection of large paintings and looked at them. Soon she pulled her footpaws up on the bench as an easel to hold her sketchbook and she began to draw, not the art in front of her, but the people that moved through the room.\n\nDaisy sat quietly watching her girlfriend as she sketched the people around them, the mouse’s paw skittering across the page as the images formed, seemingly pulled from the stark white of the page it was drawn on. Speaking softly she eventually asked, “I’ve noticed you always seem to draw people instead of things like landscapes, or still life. I would think that’s pretty hard to do without them standing still.\n\n“I like to draw plants and animals too,” She said as she continued her work, “I can set up a still life or do a landscape any time I want. People… animals… they are always changing and moving. If you miss it you will never see them like that ever again. Sure it’s harder, but it’s worth it. When am I ever going to see a seventeen year old hermaphrodite moose goddess on a cruise ship willing to pose nude for a complete stranger?”\n\nBlushing intently at her girlfriends comment Daisy leaned closer as she said, “now you’re just teasing trail mix, ‘because this moose is no goddess. I’m far from that pretty, and I’m sure as hell no where close to that saintly.”\n\nWithout looking up from her diligent doodling Cecily told her, “Like most beautiful people, you can’t see just how beautiful you are. You look at it and see it all the time. You’re desensitised, you don’t really see it any more. It’s like EMTs and doctors with seeing all the blood and death, They just get used to it and it becomes normal.” She looked over at the girl who followed her, who stayed with her, the girl she had fallen in love with, “If you’re not beautiful, I don’t know what is.” \n\n“Maybe, but you’re just as beautiful to me Sisy, maybe even more so. You not just physically beautiful, but beautiful on the inside as well. With everything you’ve been through in your life you still let a crazy, head strong, over sexed moose herm into your life. You took a chance even after being mistreated and abused by people, you took a chance on me. I don’t know why, I may never know or even understand why, just that you did. Thanks sweet cheeks, I’m really glad you did”.\n\nCecily turned back to her sketching as she said, “I… I didn’t take a chance. You’re different, not like… It’s in your eyes, you look at me differently than they did. The look in your eyes even changed from when I first saw you to lunch.” She tilted her head a bit as she continued to draw, “It’s… it’s still scary, and different, but… in a good way.” She closed her sketchbook and leaned against her girlfriend, “Maybe I’m just losing it, but I feel safe with you.” She turned her head to look up at her lover, “You bored out of your mind yet?”\n\n“Not completely, more like a little batty, but getting there cream puff, getting there,” Daisy said as she looked down into her girlfriends brown eyes. “You’re… different too Sisy, from the people I used to think we’re my friends. I do have some real friends, like that collection of goof balls you met before we left colorado. But other’s that saw me differently,” the moose herm said closing her eyes for a moment, “that saw me as something I used to be. Because I thought that’s who and what I was. I was wrong to think that way about myself, and to let other people think it too. You helped me to see that, just by being you and being with me.”\n\nThe small mouse looked back into the deep pools of emerald green that were her lover’s eyes and said, “Daisy, No matter what people thought of you, or think of you now, you’re amazing. Now I think I’m ready to go if you think you can handle driving in that insanity again.” She paused for a moment before adding, “Unless you want to go look at all the nude sculptures again. But I have all the nudes I need for now.”\n\nGiggling at her lovers comment the moose replied, “I think I can handle the traffic a little better now that I know these people are assholes. I know what to expect this time. So, where to sweet cakes?”\n\nCecily pulled out her phone to check the time, “Considering all the highly boring things I want to do are about to close… We could…” She looked up at her girlfriend, “I have no idea what to do next. There is not much at the apartment… Though I like some of the options,” She smiled and winked at the moose, “But I kinda want to get out of this place… Unless you want to do something.”\n\n\t\n\nLooking over to the small mouse Daisy said, “That mall you were talking about, they have a theater by any chance?”\n\n“No, it was just the closest parking, It actually only had like ten stores. The good one is about three miles up the road.” She looked down at her paws as if counting, “With the traffic , that should only be a two for three hour drive. But I don’t think they have a theater either.”\n\n“You’re shittin’ me, okay I already don’t like Chicago. So how far do we have to go to find a… you know what fuck it. Seriously, three fucking hours to go three miles? Fuck we can walk faster than that. Looks to me like you have to plan a week in advance to do a fucking thing in this shit hole of a city Screw this, let’s just head back to the apartment and see if we can find anything to do on the way. I’ll drive and try not to bitch slap anyone, you navigate and keep an eye out for anything that might be fun, deal sweet cheeks?”\n\nShe smiled at her agitated girlfriend and said, “I can try to do that. Let’s go.” She took the moose by the paw and nearly dragged her back to the checkin desk to retrieve their bags. Cecily tossed the denim backpack over her shoulders as she kept the camera around her neck. As they walked back to the parking deck she used one paw to take pictures of the now even more crowded street. Once they reached the structure where they had parked the found it’s lains full of cars trying to leave. When they finally weaved through the almost static river of automobiles to the Charger, Daisy nearly screamed when she saw that they were blocked in by what looked like an endless line of cars that snakes farther into the structure.\n\n","writing_bbcode_parsed":"(July 22, 2013,08:00am: Alex’s apartment)

Cecily pulled free of her lovers grasp as she crawled out from under the blankets. She looked over at Daisy as she returned to the kitchen and said, “If we had to rely on Lilly, Alex or Susan, we might starve to death.”

“So they’re the take out or forget it kind huh?” the moose asked as she poured herself a cup of coffee, looking to the mouse and hefting the cup questioningly, “you want coffee or milk sweet meat?”

“Milk, coffee stunts your growth, and I’m already short enough,” the mouse giggled as she thought about the old wives tale. But he works off sea-rats and MREs half the time if you leave him alone.”

“Well themI guess it’s good news for you hot lips, my mom insisted that all three of us kids learn how to cook, clean and do laundry starting when we hit the age of seven. So you’ve got some help with the housework and the cooking. Not to mention,” the moose said as she leaned down close to her girlfriends ear, “that I would love to make a romantic meal for two sometime for just me and my sexy girlfriend.”

The small mouse smiled as she poured some ham and cheese into the fryer with the eggs. “So.. um… when are you going to introduce me to your sexy girlfriend?” She paused for a moment, “Anyway, I don't think cleaning will be an issue. Not looking at this place, or Susan’s. Hank might be a bit of a slob though.” she fell silent for moment before she began to softly hum a tune as she cooked.

Daisy leaned back against the counter as she watched the mouse cooking breakfast for the small group. “The next time you look in a mirror, you’ll see my sexy girlfriend. She’s a really cute, super sweet kangaroo mouse, and she stole my heart nearly the moment I met her. I’ve heard she can cook too, but I can’t say for sure about that part yet.”

Cecily finished off the second omelet, as she slipped it out of the fryer on the paper plates she called out, “Come get it.” as Lilly got the two plats and took them back to the coffee table the small mouse turned to Daisy and asked, “What do you want in ours? I would normally just scrape whatever is left into mine.” She moved back over to the counter and began mixing and beating the egg concoction.

“Surprise me sweet cheeks, I’m not a big meat eater like lilly is, but I’m not a vegetarian either so go from there, anything else you want me to do while you're fixing ours? Toast maybe?” the moose said as she looked into the refrigerator, “or not I guess. I take it she’s not a big bread eater either.”

“She… um… she doesn’t really think about it more than… the main dish. The only reason she gets sides at the restaurant is because they are listed on the menu.” she started dicing some meat and vegetables into a small pile. “She tries hard , but she has really only had herself to take care of for so long…” Cecily trailed off as she moved to the stove with the fixing for their breakfast. “...She… she needs someone to take care of her also.”

“Well lucky for her she has you now to keep after her, but then again now I’ve come into the picture and messed things up. Damn it, why do you have to be so damn cute?,” the moose said jokingly as she walked over and kissed her girlfriend softly on the cheek.

Cecily giggled as her girlfriend kissed her on the cheek. “If you’re messing things up, I don’t want them to be right.” The small kangaroo mouse finished cooking the tie mix of eggs cheese, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and ham and dished it out on a plate. She walked over to the littler table then looked back at the moose and asked, where am I supposed to sit if you’re standing over there?”

“I’ll be right there sweet cheeks, just gonna grab more coffee first,” the moose replied as she refilled her cup before turning to look at the mouse again, “don’t get your panties in a wad, it’ll make you walk funny.”

The mouse looked over at her girlfriend with a smile and said, “If I walk funny I don’t think it will have anything to do with my panties.”

Lilly looked in at the small table and said, “Other than shopping so we have something to eat we have no plans for the next few days. You two are pretty much free to do what you want while I try to see what might be wrong with the Camaro. Thursday we will pack the place out and friday touch up the cleaning before we leave for… The new house.”

“The what? New house? How the hell did that happen when you had no solid plans just a few days ago?”, the moose asked as she stared at the liger with a shocked look on her face.

“Well, they may not have closed on a house yet, I gave them till Friday. Besides, I still need to show up at the school some time so that I can register you two and look over my new classroom.”

“No that wasn’t what I… “ the moose began, “it’s just that it usually takes longer to get into a place as far as I know is all. I guess I should have learned by now you don’t really do things by the book all the time, sorry.”

Lilly walked into the kitchen and paused a moment as she looked down into the trashcan before she dropped the paper plate in. Squeaky right there is a perfect example of their efforts to do what ‘can’t be done.’”

“Oh, I didn’t realise they were the ones that helped with that,” Daisy said looking down at the top of her girlfriends head, curious about the blush that came to the small mouses ears. “If it’s been sitting empty a while then the owners may want to unload it as quick as they can with the housing market so messed up. That could work in your favor for sure.”

“That’s the plan, or was until Susan pulled that shit at the park,” The liger shook her head as she walked back to the main room and sat down. “Sometimes I think it might have been better to keep those two in separate states, but they work so well together. The shit they manage to get into … and out of together amazes me sometimes.”

As she and the liger had talked Daisy and Cecily had somehow managed to finish their breakfast before the moose realized it. gently poking her girlfriend in the ribs she said, “okay sweetpea, let me up so I can toss this in the trash and we’ll go clean up the kitchen real quick.”

Cecily slipped out of her girlfriend's lap and walked over to put the now cool frying pan in the sink. She watched the moose closely with the same shy little smile as she started to fill the sink with water. and added soap. She looked away into the sink as the moose approached the trashcan, and her blush deepened.

Glancing into the trash receptacle out of habit before tossing the paper plate into it Daisy stopped for a moment, seeing what it was that had caused the liger to react in a similar manner a few minutes ago. Leaning in close , her voice so low she hoped only the small mouse could hear she asked, “that wasn’t a dream last night was it trail mix?”

Cecily spoke quietly as she washed the pan, “Well.. you were dreaming… and I’m sure you would have ended in the same basic place…” She smiled unable to look up and make eye contact at the moment, “I didn’t want to have to wake up in the middle of the night to take a shower and figure out a new place to sleep… not if I wasn’t the reason anyway.” She handed the pan to the moose as she moved onto the next bowl. I um kinda let you do what you did when… jeez that was an oily mess that time.”

Her blush deepening as the small mouse spoke Daisy held the towel in one paw, the pan in the other for several long moments before she remembered what she was doing and dried the pan setting it on the counter when she was through. I couldn’t stand myself if I did that SIsy.”

The small mouse finished washing the utensils she used to chop , mix and cook as a moment of silence passed. As she looked up at her lover, deep into her beautiful emerald green eyes, the beginning of tears forming in her own. “Sh should we st stop sleeping together?” She blinked as she looked down. “I… I don’t want to. I trust you. You wont hurt me, I know you wont.”

“No, I don’t want to either, I just… it worries me is all sweet cheeks. You have to promise me that.”

Cecily looked up Daisy, “I… I promise.” She stepped off the stool onto the floor, “Daisy, We have three days and Lilly has no plans… and I was wrong, she didn’t get the TV and console out.” She leaned against daisy’s leg as she asked, “What do you want to do… other than the obvious,” She finished with a giggle.

“No idea, never been to Chicago before, I wonder where we get the visitors pamphlets at around here,” the moose replied giggling as she scooped the mouse into her arms hugging her tightly.

From the other room the liger said, “You stop by any major hotel and they often have them in the lobby. You’ll want to take the tasers, Chicago is not firearms friendly. Or take the reneger, it’s in the center console of the… Shit… the U-Haul in the storage. if you take that, remember, kneecaps.”

Looking at her lover Daisy asked, “so sweetcheeks, weapon of choice?”

“I… I think the tasers should be okay. I don’t want to get in any trouble,” the mouse said as she looked in the moose’s eyes and licked her lips seductively. “But if you want to bring a fully loaded gun, I won’t stop you.”

Lilly snickered and said, “Yea, whipping that out might send some of them packing.”

“Lilly!” Delev looked at her sternly as if reprimanding a child.

“What?” She asked as she sat the book she was reading in her lap, “use every advantage you have, and I’ll be damned if that’s not one of her advantages.”

“You don’t know how people will react to zat here. You chould use caution, and try to obey zee laws, even if zey are foolish.” he looked over at the couple, “Zere is an art museum and zee Zear Tower, even if zee chinks bought it out, it is still an impressive sight if you have not zeen it.”

Cecily looked up at her girl friend, “Daisy, there is something I would like to see. The Art Institute.” She looked down at the floor and continued softly, “But… um… That’s kind of boring I guess.”

“Well that depends more on who you go with trail mix, it’s kind of hard to be bored when I’m with you. If that’s what you want to do then let’s go,” the moose said happily, “just let me grab some clothes and we’re outa here.”

Lilly looked at the two and said, “There’s no parking anywhere near anything you actually want to see. You’ll have to park in a deck and take the bus to wherever. The standards are simple, Sisy is ten years old, that should but the cost in half, and is believable. One of you should download the metro app for the busses. And, even though I don’t think I need to say it with you two, stay together.” She looked over at Cecily for a moment, “your S.T.R.I.K.E.R. is in my bag, with two extra cartridges.”

“Oh we’ll stay together, I’m not about to let her out of my sight somewhere that I know absolutely no one. I’ll grab my stun gun when we park.” Daisy said as she rummaged through the small pack. “And if all else fails, like Lilly said I can just whip it out and we won’t have many to deal with after the wimps run off.”

Lilly looked over at the general with a smirk, “See, she said it too.”

Cecily swiftly got dressed in her generic tshirt and jeans and went through the basic routine of checking what she had in her bag as Lilly watched. When Cecily finished Lilly added one last comment before they left. “The panic app still works. Hit the button and keep moving if you have to, it will lead us right to you. There is nothing wrong with running.”

“You got it lilly, Sisy you getting the bus app or am I?” the moose asked as she pulled on a bright orange t-shirt, the Soundgarden triple skulls image emblazoned in white across her chest. As she sat on the end of the couch to pull on a pair of stark white ankle socks she adde, “fuck it, you get the app, you’re the navigator anyway.”

As the moose dressed Cecily downloaded the app, as she said, “There is also a mall less than a mile from the Institute.”

“They list the stores? Anything good in it or just the usual girl girl shops?”, Daisy asked as she rolled her eyes.

“The stores looked like crap, not even a music shop. But I was thinking, they have parking there. We can walk to the art Institute and not pay parking and bus fare.”

“Works for me if it flies with lilly,” Daisy replied as she jerked a thumb over her shoulder at the liger.

“Shoot first, Steal their wallet while they’re still twitching, then run,” Lilly said as she picked her book back up and started reading again. “And if you can get away with it, buy a nice outfit and a meal on them.”

“Now that sounds like an idea, though I’d just as soon the creeps leave us alone. Come on sweet meat, let’s go check out the arts, it can’t be any worse than this museum,” the moose said as she headed for the door, stopping to grab her shoes before she left.

The couple left the apartment and headed toward downtown, within moments the found themselves trapped in the a line of cars that looked like it stretched for miles.

Cecily looked over at the agitated moose as she finally pulled the car into a space deep within the structure. “Are you okay, Daisy?”

“No, but I will be, what the fuck is it with these people? Did they all leave their fucking brains at home in bed when they left? And where the hell did they get their drivers licenses? Out of a cereal box?” the moose vented as her paws tightly gripped the steering wheel. “ARRRRRRRRGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGFGF”, she screamed loudly, shaking her head as if she were having a seizure for several seconds before she stopped. “FUCK these people are assholes….” Slumping down in her seat slight Daisy looked over to her girlfriend, an apologetic look in her eyes. “Sorry about that SIsy, but hell the traffic around Denver isn’t this bad… okay it is this bad as far as the traffic, but at least the people act like they have some fucking sense.”

Cecily unbuckled her seatbelt and grabbed her backpack as she said, “I don’t like Chicago, it’s too loud. I couldn’t tell who was honking at who.” She huddled into the seat as she clutched her backpack, “I… I don’t think I could have driven in all that.”

“I almost wish I hadn’t damn this place is a mess, why the hell would anyone live here by choice? Okay after that a nice quiet art institute sounds good to me. Let’s got hot lips,” the moose said as she unfastened her seat belt and opened her door to get out.

The pair walked through the streets, paw in paw, as they made their way to the galleries. Cecily held tight to daisy as sthe moved through the crowded streets until they finally made it to a large open grass field, As the crowd faded into the open space the small mouse seemed to relax. In the distance they could see the Large building that was their destination. The kangaroo mouse bounced as the signs came into view, “There it is,” She nearly squeaked as she started to pull her girlfriend along the sidewalk.

When they finally reached the large building and ascended the stairs to the admissions area they were they were stopped by a security officer, “Excuse me ladies, but you will have to check those bags in over at the security counter. You are welcome to take cameras.”

Cecily froze in her tracks as she squeezed Daisy’s paw tightly as she looked at the man and said, “But, I thought sketching was allowed.”

‘Yes, ma’am, “he replied, “you can get a courtesy bag to carry your art supplies and any valuables you may have. We just can’t allow backpacks or other large bags into the galleries.”

The small mouse looked up at her girlfriend as she slipped the backpack off her shoulder and went over to check it in.

As soon as they were past the door into the museum Cecily's demeanor changed. Soon she pulled her footpaws up on the bench as an easel to hold her sketchbook and she began to draw, not the art in front of her, but the people that moved through the room.

Daisy sat quietly watching her girlfriend as she sketched the people around them, the mouse’s paw skittering across the page as the images formed, seemingly pulled from the stark white of the page it was drawn on. Speaking softly she eventually asked, “I’ve noticed you always seem to draw people instead of things like landscapes, or still life. I would think that’s pretty hard to do without them standing still.

“I like to draw plants and animals too,” She said as she continued her work, “I can set up a still life or do a landscape any time I want. People… animals… they are always changing and moving. If you miss it you will never see them like that ever again. Sure it’s harder, but it’s worth it. When am I ever going to see a seventeen year old hermaphrodite moose goddess on a cruise ship willing to pose nude for a complete stranger?”

Blushing intently at her girlfriends comment Daisy leaned closer as she said, “now you’re just teasing trail mix, ‘because this moose is no goddess. I’m far from that pretty, and I’m sure as hell no where close to that saintly.”

Without looking up from her diligent doodling Cecily told her, “Like most beautiful people, you can’t see just how beautiful you are. You look at it and see it all the time. You’re desensitised, you don’t really see it any more. It’s like EMTs and doctors with seeing all the blood and death, They just get used to it and it becomes normal.” She looked over at the girl who followed her, who stayed with her, the girl she had fallen in love with, “If you’re not beautiful, I don’t know what is.”

“Maybe, but you’re just as beautiful to me Sisy, maybe even more so. Thanks sweet cheeks, I’m really glad you did”.

Cecily turned back to her sketching as she said, “I… I didn’t take a chance. You’re different, not like… It’s in your eyes, you look at me differently than they did. The look in your eyes even changed from when I first saw you to lunch.” She tilted her head a bit as she continued to draw, “It’s… it’s still scary, and different, but… in a good way.” She closed her sketchbook and leaned against her girlfriend, “Maybe I’m just losing it, but I feel safe with you.” She turned her head to look up at her lover, “You bored out of your mind yet?”

“Not completely, more like a little batty, but getting there cream puff, getting there,” Daisy said as she looked down into her girlfriends brown eyes. You helped me to see that, just by being you and being with me.”

The small mouse looked back into the deep pools of emerald green that were her lover’s eyes and said, “Daisy, No matter what people thought of you, or think of you now, you’re amazing. Now I think I’m ready to go if you think you can handle driving in that insanity again.” She paused for a moment before adding, “Unless you want to go look at all the nude sculptures again. But I have all the nudes I need for now.”

Giggling at her lovers comment the moose replied, “I think I can handle the traffic a little better now that I know these people are assholes. I know what to expect this time. So, where to sweet cakes?”

Cecily pulled out her phone to check the time, “Considering all the highly boring things I want to do are about to close… We could…” She looked up at her girlfriend, “I have no idea what to do next. There is not much at the apartment… Though I like some of the options,” She smiled and winked at the moose, “But I kinda want to get out of this place… Unless you want to do something.”

\t

Looking over to the small mouse Daisy said, “That mall you were talking about, they have a theater by any chance?”

“No, it was just the closest parking, It actually only had like ten stores. The good one is about three miles up the road.” She looked down at her paws as if counting, “With the traffic , that should only be a two for three hour drive. But I don’t think they have a theater either.”

“You’re shittin’ me, okay I already don’t like Chicago.
