"writing": "[t]Tricks Are Not Treats[/t]\n\nBy Assilsasta & Cormenthor\n▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ October 30, 2013 ۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂\n\n▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ Meatloaf Cupcakes ۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂\n\nAlex, Susan and Lilliana were gathered around the table in the breakfast area of the great room when the moose returned from her long day at work. Daisy wasn’t sure where Cecily or Hank were, she assumed the mouse had the otter working on something new for her ‘Doll House’, the little joke from the otter that turned into one of his biggest projects aside from the house renovations themselves. She was certain that Detlev had turned in early as he had been lately. She still hadn’t gotten to know the badger well, but he seemed to be the only one of the group that didn’t suffer from some sort of psychological ailment, though she did know him to encourage some of their antics, most of which seemed to keep the group working and living together as a cohesive unit.\n\n Daisy held the tray of cupcakes high over her head as she walking into the kitchen and shouted, “Free treats for Halloween.” The group did not move quickly to start as they had gotten used to her bringing home the day-olds from the bakery, even though the confections still never lasted till the morning. She smiled as she saw the liger take notice of the difference in today’s batch of ‘baked goods.’\n\n“That’s not cake,” the liger said as she turned and sniffed the air. “What the fuck is that?”\n\n“Rat poison backed inta flowah wit’ laxative icing?” Alex chimed in as none in the group had done anything all that noticeable as a prank after their little camping trip almost two months ago. Daisy had enjoyed the reprieve but worried just what the group was cooking up for her that would take two months to get into motion.\n\nAs the Moose herm sat the tray down on the bar that separates the kitchen from the great room, the liger stood up, nearly tossing the chair she was in out of the way. “I smell meat and potatoes. What kind of trick you got going here Mouse Bait?”\n\n“No trick Lilly, just a little something I found a recipe for on the internet that I thought you would like,” Daisy said with a tiny bit of a grin of satisfaction. “Kind of a thanks for everything you all have done for me, even if I do think some of this group are trying to mess with my head most of the time,” she said looking into the other room at the eagle and chinchilla.\n\n“Mess with your head?” Susan asked as she started to follow the liger over to the counter,. “We’re not the ones bring beef home from a bakery.”\n\nDaisy stepped out of the way as Lilliana leaned over the counter, putting her paws on either side of the tray of cupcakes and inhaling the scent deeply. “I think the moose has finally earned her keep with this one. Meat Cakes, fucking genius.” She stepped back, grabbing one in each paw and cramming. “If these are half as good as they smell…” the liger trailed off as she crammed one into her muzzle, wrapper and all. The other two stood for a moment as Lilliana paused, neither chewing nor spitting it out.\n\nDaisy stood in silence with the other two as they all watched and waited for the liger’s reaction. The moose’s attention was only drawn away by what had now become the familiar sound of her girlfriend descending the stairs at high speed. She turned not really certain which entrance the small mouse might come from, and stopped to see the brown furred girl fly through the air at her. She held her arms up just in time to catch Cecily as the cannonball of a mouse knocked her off her hooves and onto the floor.\n\nCecily sat up on Daisy’s chest, out of breath from running through the house, and looked down at her with a smile. “I…. I got my cast off. And… and.. to.. tomorrow is Halloween,” the small mouse said breathlessly as she flexed her slightly withered arm.\n\n“That’s great short stack,” Daisy said with a broad grin a moment before her expression changed to a slight frown. “Damn it, I forgot about tomorrow and already said yes to working the afternoon and evening to do set up. Shit Sisy I’m sorry but it looks like you’re on your own this time.”\n\nWith only a slight look of disappointment Cecily said, “It’s okay. I thought they might need do that, there is supposed to be some big Tick-or-Treating thing with a lot of the shops in town.” she rolled off the moose and lay on the floor beside her. “There is supposed to be this party. I thought I might try going to it. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a… um… real party.”\n\nThe trio of women sat down on the floor with the pair, Susan bringing the tray of meatloaf cupcakes with them. “So tell us more about this party,” the chinchilla said as she sat the tray on the moose as if she was a table.\n\n“It’s… just a party,” Cecily said. “Some of the others Kids at school have been talking about it.”\n\n“‘ho’s gonna be dere?” Alex asked as she took one of the cakes off the tray.\n\n“Um… I don’t think anyone I really know will be. They all have plans.”\n\n“Why not do something with them?” Lilliana asked, licking her fingers after swallowing the second cake she had taken.\n\nCecily looked at her paws for a moment before she answered, “I… it’s not really the kind of party any of them would be into… It’s… it’s really a rave and I am hoping that Omen Breakers show up.”\n\n“I don’ know ‘bout dis,” Alex muttered as she looked at the other’s\n\n“You.. you want me to be more confident, and… and… I’ve been to raves before, it’s not anything new to me,” the mouse said not making eye contact with anyone. “I know what to do and what to avoid. And you’ve all been teaching me self defense. I… I just want a chance to see Omen Breakers again. The school thing backfired last month and they’ve been out of sight again since then. Well, other than what they’ve had to do at school because of it.”\n\n“Still sounds iffy to me,” Susan commented as she licked the mashed potato icing off the cake. “What if something happens?”\n\n“I have my S.T.R.I.K.E.R,” the mouse replied matter-of-factly. “And my phone. You’ll all know right where I am.”\n\n “Sounds like Squeakers got a handle on things,” Lilliana said before she looked down at the moose on her back on the floor, “What do you think Mouse Bait?”\n\n“I’m not sure it’s a good idea either… but she does have a point. As much as I don’t like the idea, and I hope like hell I don’t end up regretting saying this, we have all been telling her to be more confident and shit.”\n\n“Okay then,” Lilliana said as she took the tray off the moose's chest and stood up. “A few rules, as usual. You're going to take the Camaro.”\n\n“Yeah that’s smart,” Susan mumbled, “Send her out in an over-powered death trap to a drug ridden party in some unknown part of town.”\n\nThe liger seemed to ignore the chinchilla as she continued, “You will check in every hour regardless. I don’t care if you end up downtown with Officer Goodmen waiting for one of us to pick you up.” She looked down at the mouse. “If you don’t check in, we will be there to get you… period.” \n\nCecily smiled and her tail flailed behind her. “Thank you, thank you, thank you,” The mouse chanted before she leaned over and kissed the moose. \n\n▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ October 31, 2013 ۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂\n\n▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ Breaking Point۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂\n\nDaisy rushed around the kitchen as she moved the mini-cupcakes from the ovens to the decorating counter for Sunshine to frost. The place was slammed with trick-or-treaters and they handed out the cakes to the cubs. The moose barely had time to think in the rush, quickly slinging herself into a daze sliding two more pans into the ovens.\n\nEverything for the evening seemed to be going fine, she barely even noticed the infrequent buzzing of her phone with Cecily’s check-ins from the tracking app. The sensation started to feel more like a nudge of ‘I’m okay, stop worrying’ from the mouse, which made her feel better about the girl being out on her own. That was until the quick buzz turned into the frantic, fluxuating vibration of the panic alarm. Sunshine looked back at Daisy as she dropped the stack of dirty pans and rummaged for her phone.\n\n“What happened?” the jerboa asked turning around, “One of the ghosts spook ya?” She giggled for a moment not seeing the look of panic on the moose’s face as she stared down at the flashing red screen on her phone. \n\nDaisy had not seen the panic alarm since the first day of school. But seeing it today, barely knowing where her girlfriend was, drove her own anxiety through the roof. She nearly ripped the apron off as she started to sprint toward the front of the store. “”Miss. Graham, I gotta go.”\n\n“Miss. Daniels, we’re swamped I really need you in the kitchen.” the flying squirrel said as the moose headed for the door.\n\n`”I’m sorry, it’s… I have to go... now,” she said loudly as she ran out the door without even turning to look her employer in the face.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\nDaisy jumped in her car, phone in one paw getting the locator up on the screen as the other started the engine. She paid minimal attention to the traffic around her as she sped through the streets in hopes to get wherever she needed to be before it was too late. The moose herm’s mind raced with some of the stories Cecily had shared about her past, and some of the type of people she had been around back then when she did frequent raves and parties. The images of the only half described places sent the moose’s hove to the floor as the engine roared and strained to push the car faster. \n\nThe Charger screeched to a halt in an almost abandoned parking lot in the warehouse district. She could hear the thumping, rhythmic base of the ‘party’ going on somewhere nearby. Her eyes were locked on the little red icon that showed where the mouse was supposed to be, and the fast approaching blips that signified the rest of the family closing in on her from different angles.\n\n She started running toward the building that her girlfriend should be in according to the little app, only to toss the phone to the side when the icon turned gray for lack of position data. As she reached to door the warehouse she stopped, just short of being hit by the antique jeep that nearly slammed into the wall in front of her. Setting on the ground between her and Susan was the remnants of a smashed android phone. \n\nThe two looked at each other, the panic mirrored on their eyes as the chinchilla grabbed the handset of the old CB radio and said, “Location one is a bust. No Fefnir or mouse. DR23D on location and will assist in clearing farther.”\n\n(Roger, Fefnir location confirmed on scanner, Officers in pursuit, no confirmation on passengers. I swear to GOD someone is going to die tonight at this rate.)\n\nSusan looked at Daisy as she said, “I hope we find her first.” then she turned to the passenger seat and asked, “Lethal or non?”\n\nWithout a moment’s hesitation Daisy said “I don’t care, just put something in my paw that I can hurt someone with if I have to.”\n\nThe chinchilla handed the moose the same .45 that they had used at the range back when they had gone camping. “You shoot me and I’ll hurt you,” Susan said as she grabbed what looked like Lilliana’s Bone Collector with a small flashlight mounted on the rail. “you take the left and I’ll take the right. We meet in the middle.” She turned back to Daisy and handed her a small earpiece and said, “Put this on, it’s short range but should work fine in the metal building. Screw radio etiquette; just let me know if you find anything.”\n\n“Yes ma’am,” Daisy said stuffing the small device into her ear and following the chinchilla into the building. \n\nAlmost as soon as the pair walked through the door, the sound of moaning could be heard from a nearby room. Without hesitation Susan kicked in the door, scarring two teen otters who must have been in the midst of a drug enhanced moment together. The two were half dressed, but neither unclothed enough to be in the middle of anything close to sexual action.\n\n“Fuck, I hate this shit already,” the chinchilla said as the teens cowered in a corner for the barrel of the fifty caliber hand cannon. “You go that way,” she said point to the hall to their left as she turned to the right.\n\nDaisy only nodded as she held the gun the way Lilliana had showed her with two paws pointed to the ground. She had one finger pointed down the barrel as the words of the liger ran through her mind, ‘in close quarters just point at your target, like you are pointing your finger at them. Nine times out of ten you’ll hit them at close range. Hold it at the low ready until you see your target. It’s easier to keep yourself unseen with a slimmer profile.’ At the time Daisy had wondered why the liger was talking her through what must have been combat techniques all those weeks ago, but was suddenly glad she had. \n\nDaisy moved from room to room, finding most of them vacant. As the seconds passed her heart quickened its pace with all the scenarios from cop shows running through her head. Room by room, floor by floor she found nothing. Her heart skipped a beat and she spun around and lifted the pistol as a voice chimed in her ear, “I’m finding nothing, you got anything?” the hall behind her was empty as she remember the earpiece she had been given.\n\n“Damn it Susan. You scared the shit out of me,” Daisy said as she continued to move through the hall. “I’ve got nothing yet. Those two might have been it. I don’t know about you, but this is the most scared I have ever been.”\n\n“You learn to deal with it after a time,” the chinchilla said softly in the mic. “But I really hope you never have to.” \n\n“Shhh, I think I heard something,” the moose said as a muffled sound came from around the corner.\n\n“I’m on the other side of the building; you’re the only one that can hear me.”\n\nDaisy felt semi foolish as she crouched down like she and seen in movies, She wasn’t sure why, but she couldn’t help herself when she pressed her back against the wall and leaned to look around the corner.\n\n“Man, she fell asleep,” one dark furred individual said. Daisy could hardly make out much more than forms in the open room as they gathered around a burning trashcan. There were what looked like several mattresses scattered around the room a few with furs making out while others had limp bodies strewn across them.\n\n“Don’ worry, is just the muscle relaxers kickin in,” another one said. There were at least three gathered around one spot talking about someone. “See, her eyes are still open.”\n\n“Man she bit me. You believe that shit. I just offered her some G and she got all freaked out and shit.”\n\n“Dude, what did I tell ya about that. Ya just slip soma this in their dink,” one of the trio said as he sat down. “It ain’t worth workin too hard around here. Half these girls are stoned anyway.”\n\nDaisy felt slightly emboldened by the fact that the group didn’t seem to care that there were others around. She needed to get closer, needed to be sure it wasn’t Cecily they were talking about.\n\n“Man I don’t want a limp noodle,” one said taking a knee, “I want someone who’ll play the game a little. They start getting horny with the G, last week one almost raped me, it was some of the best strange I got. But I’m out man, I ain’t into ragdolls.”\n\n“Whatever, you don’t know what you’re missing. You don’t find’em this young out here often. I bet her mother’s a junky and brought her to get a fix. Might even of offered her up for a dime.”\n\nDaisy’s stomach turned as she listened to the furs talk. She stepped aside as the one left walking past with a nod of acknowledgement toward her. As she got closer her heart stopped, time seemed to stand still as reality fell apart around her. Her eyes followed the long fuzzy tail from the tip up to where the one black furred canine sat on a stained mattress. Shivers of fear and rage ran through her body as she watched him brush the small brown face with his paw and mutter, “Don’t worry, it’ll only hurt at first, but you’ll like.”\n\nHer entire body went numb when she saw the tear filled brown eyes look up at her, almost lifelessly. She saw her mouth moving, but nothing came out as the canine said, “Shhh, it’ll be okay.”\n\nThe rage built in her faster than she would have imagined as the canine let his paw slip down to fondle the small mouse’s chest. From that point on it was almost as if it were someone else moving and she was only seeing things through their eyes. Her empty paw shot up and grabbed the canine by the hair and jerked his head around, the other bringing the pistol to rest its muzzle in the center of his forehead. She didn’t recognize the voice that said, “you touch her again, and I swear to God they’ll be scooping up your head with a sponge.” Her arm jerked pulling the canine backwards and sending him crashing to the floor on his back as she stepped closer and dropped down onto her knee into his chest as hard as she could knocking the air from his lungs. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the dark furred fox make a move as if to try and run. Swinging her arm around she leveled the pistol at the center of his chest, her thumb drawing back the hammer of the 45 as she said, “another inch and you won’t need to breath. Sit your fucking ass down and don’t even blink unless I tell you to.”\n\nEverything froze at the sound of gunfire as everyone; even Daisy looked toward the door. “Get her out, take her home,” the chinchilla shouted, “You don’t want to be here for this.”\n\nNodding in understanding Daisy uncocked the pistol and slipped it into the back of the waistband of her jeans before leaning over the small mouse. She looked into her lovers brown eyes, her paw gently touching the mouse’s face for a moment as she said, “I got you Sisy, we’re getting the fuck out of here,” before she scooped the limp body of her girlfriend up into her arms and started walking out of the room. As she got close to the chinchilla she said, “I’ll see you at the house,” as she passed by. \n\nThe last thing Daisy heard as she carried Cecily down the hall was one of the group shouting, \"what the fuck is...\" followed by three gunshots, then silence.\n\n▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ Guardian Angel ۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂\n\nDaisy didn’t remember the ride home, only that she kept looking at Cecily laying in her passenger seat. She didn’t even remember carrying her up to their room. All she knew at that point was that the world was crueler than she ever imagined. And the realization of just how vulnerable the small mouse she had fallen in love with must feel all the time.\n\nShe sat on the bed with Cecily curled up in her arms, counting the slow measure breaths of the drugged mouse. She knew the girl had fought back. But was overpowered by the three assailants. The more the scene played through her head the more she rocked the little body in her arms. She felt nauseous as the thought of them targeting her because she was small and young looking. The Idea that they thought that they might have even gotten the girl for some drugs if she was with her mother physically sickened her.\n\nShe was completely oblivious to what time it must have been when the rest of the group filed into the room. “How is she?” Lilliana asked as she sat on the edge of the bed.\n\n“I… I don’t know,” Daisy said looking down at her, “She… she hasn’t moved.”\n\n“Not surprising,” Susan responded. “Lay her out on the bed and I’ll check her out. You need to go with Lilly.”\n\nDaisy felt disconnected from everything as she let go of her lover and rose from the bed. The disembodied feeling continued as she followed the liger out of the room into the hall. \n\n“Daisy,” Lillian said as the door was closed behind them, “Look at me. Look me in the eyes.” She commanded flatly as she placed her paws on the moose’s shoulders. “I’m going to set you an appointment with Dr. Fletcher. Do you understand?”\n\n The moose felt her head move as if someone else was working her like a puppet. Everything felt so distant, strange and dull. \n\n“You did good,” Lilliana said continuing to keep eye contact. “But you shouldn’t have been put in that situation and I am sorry. If… If I had known…” The world slowly came back into focus as Daisy watched the tears roll down Lilliana’s cheek. “You’ve already done more than I ever expected you to, and it’s all my fault.” \n\n“How…” Daisy said as the world around her snapped into clarity again. “How is this your fault Lilly?”\n\n“You’re Seventeen,” the liger said, “I shouldn’t have put the kind of pressure I did on you about taking responsibility for my daughter. You didn’t deserve it. You’ve been there for her when she needed you, and that’s all you should have to do. And I’ll never ask you to do anything like you did today… ever again.”\n\n“No,” Daisy said shaking her head slowly. “You didn’t put anything on me that I didn’t put on myself the day I fell for Sisy. If anything… I think I understand finally why she feels so helpless because of her size.” Leaning against the wall Daisy looked at the floor for several long moments before she spoke again. “I would do anything for her Lilly, and that goes a lot farther than even I realized until tonight. I’ll always be there for her when she needs me, and even when she doesn’t, I’ll still be there for her no matter what it takes.”\n\n“You’ve proven that, Daisy,” The liger said as she lifted the moose’s chin with her paw to look her in the eyes. “And no one can say otherwise. Even if tonight didn’t happen the way it had, you being there for her gave her the confidence to even try going out. The world is not a perfect place, and furs like Cecily will always be targets for someone. All we can truly do is be there for her when she falls, and pick her back up so she never ends up where we found her again.”\n\nA moment after Lilliana finished speaking and let go of Daisy’s face, the other Dark Riders came out of the room. Susan looked over at the pair and said, “She’s coming out of it and will be okay. It doesn’t look like they got very far. But she wants you, Daisy.”\n\n“Thank God, and thanks Susan,” she said pushing herself off the wall and walking towards the door to their room. Daisy stopped before she opened it and looked at the group as she said, “no matter what anyone may think, she’s got the best family she could ever hope for. She deserves it more than anyone knows.” Turning back to the door she opened it and went inside to her girlfriend, quietly closing it behind her. \ndaisy walked over and sat downon the edge of the bet beside the small mouse. Laying her paw on the smaller girls arm she said, “hey sweet lips, how you holding up?”\n\nWeakly Cecily rolled over and pulled herself into Daisy’s lap and curled up. “You… you saved me,” she said, her voice barely a whisper. “I called and you came… you’re an angel…” Daisy could feel the tears dripping into her fur with the mouse’s weak grasp pulling at her. “It… it was all dark and you were just…. suddenly there.” She nuzzled her head into Daisy’s leg as she whispered, “I’ll never leave you again. Never. I know I am safe with you. Nothing can touch me when I have you.”\n\nTears starting to well up in her eyes as she listened to the soft, weak voice of her girlfriend Daisy had to fight to keep herself together as she spoke. “You’ll always be safe with me Sisy, and I’ll never leave you either. Whenever you need me I’ll be right there with you, always squeaker. You’re… you’re the only thing that matters to me and it will always be that way.” Taking a few moments to steady herself, and her voice she added, “as long as I can do anything at all about it, no one will ever hurt you again… ever.”\n\n“I love you Daisy,” the small mouse said weakly as her body started to go limp again.\n\n",

I don&rsquo;t care if you end up downtown with Officer Goodmen waiting for one of us to pick you up.&rdquo; She looked down at the mouse. &ldquo; If you don&rsquo;t check in, we will be there to get you&hellip; period.&rdquo; <br /><br />Cecily smiled and her tail flailed behind her. &ldquo;Thank you, thank you, thank you,&rdquo; The mouse chanted before she leaned over and kissed the moose. <br /><br /><div class='align_center'><strong>▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ October 31, 2013 ۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂</strong><br /><br />▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ Breaking Point۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂</div><br /><br />Daisy rushed around the kitchen as she moved the mini-cupcakes from the ovens to the decorating counter for Sunshine to frost. The place was slammed with trick-or-treaters and they handed out the cakes to the cubs. The moose barely had time to think in the rush, quickly slinging herself into a daze sliding two more pans into the ovens.<br /><br />Everything for the evening seemed to be going fine, she barely even noticed the infrequent buzzing of her phone with Cecily&rsquo;s check-ins from the tracking app. The sensation started to feel more like a nudge of &lsquo;I&rsquo;m okay, stop worrying&rsquo; from the mouse, which made her feel better about the girl being out on her own. That was until the quick buzz turned into the frantic, fluxuating vibration of the panic alarm. Sunshine looked back at Daisy as she dropped the stack of dirty pans and rummaged for her phone.<br /><br />&ldquo;What happened?&rdquo; the jerboa asked turning around, &ldquo; One of the ghosts spook ya?&rdquo; She giggled for a moment not seeing the look of panic on the moose&rsquo;s face as she stared down at the flashing red screen on her phone. <br /><br />Daisy had not seen the panic alarm since the first day of school. But seeing it today, barely knowing where her girlfriend was, drove her own anxiety through the roof. She nearly ripped the apron off as she started to sprint toward the front of the store. &ldquo;&rdquo;Miss. Graham, I gotta go.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Miss. Daniels, we&rsquo;re swamped I really need you in the kitchen.&rdquo; the flying squirrel said as the moose&nbsp;&nbsp;headed for the door.<br /><br />`&rdquo;I&rsquo;m sorry, it&rsquo;s&hellip; I have to go... now,&rdquo; she said loudly as she ran out the door without even turning to look her employer in the face.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<br /><br />Daisy jumped in her car, phone in one paw getting the locator up on the screen as the other started the engine. She paid minimal attention to the traffic around her as she sped through the streets in hopes to get wherever she needed to be before it was too late. The moose herm&rsquo;s mind raced with some of the stories Cecily had shared about her past, and some of the type of people she had been around back then when she did frequent raves and parties. The images of the only half described places sent the moose&rsquo;s hove to the floor as the engine roared and strained to push the car faster. <br /><br />The Charger screeched to a halt in an almost abandoned parking lot in the warehouse district. She could hear the thumping, rhythmic base of the &lsquo;party&rsquo; going on somewhere nearby. Her eyes were locked on the little red icon that showed where the mouse was supposed to be, and the fast approaching blips that signified the rest of the family closing in on her from different angles.<br /><br />&nbsp;She started running toward the building that her girlfriend should be in according to the little app, only to toss the phone to the side when the icon turned gray for lack of position data. As she reached to door the warehouse she stopped, just short of being hit by the antique jeep&nbsp;&nbsp;that nearly slammed into the wall in front of her. Setting on the ground between her and Susan was the remnants of a smashed android phone. <br /><br />The two looked at each other, the panic mirrored on their eyes as the chinchilla grabbed the handset of the old CB radio and said, &ldquo;Location one is a bust. No Fefnir or mouse. DR23D on location and will assist in clearing farther.&rdquo;<br /><br />(Roger, Fefnir location confirmed on scanner, Officers in pursuit, no confirmation on passengers. I swear to GOD someone is going to die tonight at this rate.)<br /><br />Susan looked at Daisy as she said, &ldquo;I hope we find her first.&rdquo; then she turned to the passenger seat and asked, &ldquo;Lethal or non?&rdquo;<br /><br />Without a moment&rsquo;s hesitation Daisy said &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t care, just put something in my paw that I can hurt someone with if I have to.&rdquo;<br /><br />The chinchilla handed the moose the same .45 that they had used at the range back when they had gone camping. &ldquo; You shoot me and I&rsquo;ll hurt you,&rdquo; Susan said as she grabbed what looked like Lilliana&rsquo;s Bone Collector with a small flashlight mounted on the rail. &ldquo;you take the left and I&rsquo;ll take the right. We meet in the middle.&rdquo; She turned back to Daisy and handed her a small earpiece and said, &ldquo;Put this on, it&rsquo;s short range but should work fine in the metal building. Screw radio etiquette; just let me know if you find anything.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Yes ma&rsquo;am,&rdquo; Daisy said stuffing the small device into her ear and following the chinchilla into the building. <br /><br />Almost as soon as the pair walked through the door, the sound of moaning could be heard from a nearby room. Without hesitation Susan kicked in the door, scarring two teen otters who must have been in the midst of a drug enhanced moment together. The two were half dressed, but neither unclothed enough to be in the middle of anything close to sexual action.<br /><br />&ldquo;Fuck, I hate this shit already,&rdquo; the chinchilla said as the teens cowered in a corner for the barrel of the fifty caliber hand cannon.&nbsp;&nbsp;&ldquo; You go that way,&rdquo; she said point to the hall to their left as she turned to the right.<br /><br />Daisy only nodded as she held the gun the way Lilliana had showed her with two paws pointed to the ground. She had one finger pointed down the barrel as the words of the liger ran through her mind, &lsquo;in close quarters just point at your target, like you are pointing your finger at them. Nine times out of ten you&rsquo;ll hit them at close range. Hold it at the low ready until you see your target. It&rsquo;s easier to keep yourself unseen with a slimmer profile.&rsquo; At the time Daisy had wondered why the liger was talking her through what must have been combat techniques all those weeks ago, but was suddenly glad she had. <br /><br />Daisy moved from room to room, finding most of them vacant. As the seconds passed her heart quickened its pace with all the scenarios from cop shows running through her head.&nbsp;&nbsp;Room by room, floor by floor she found nothing. Her heart skipped a beat and she spun around and lifted the pistol as a voice chimed in her ear, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m finding nothing, you got anything?&rdquo; the hall behind her was empty as she remember the earpiece she had been given.<br /><br />&ldquo;Damn it Susan. You scared the shit out of me,&rdquo; Daisy said as she continued to move through the hall. &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve got nothing yet. Those two might have been it. I don&rsquo;t know about you, but this is the most scared I have ever been.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;You learn to deal with it after a time,&rdquo; the chinchilla said softly in the mic. &ldquo; But I really hope you never have to.&rdquo; <br /><br />&ldquo;Shhh, I think I heard something,&rdquo; the moose said&nbsp;&nbsp; as a muffled sound came from around the corner.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m on the other side of the building; you&rsquo;re the only one that can hear me.&rdquo;<br /><br />Daisy felt semi foolish as she crouched down like she and seen in movies, She wasn&rsquo;t sure why, but she couldn&rsquo;t help herself when she pressed her back against the wall and leaned to look around the corner.<br /><br />&ldquo;Man, she fell asleep,&rdquo; one dark furred individual said. Daisy could hardly make out much more than forms in the open room as they gathered around a burning trashcan. There were what looked like several mattresses scattered around the room a few with furs making out while others had limp bodies strewn across them.<br /><br />&ldquo;Don&rsquo; worry, is just the muscle relaxers kickin in,&rdquo; another one said. There were at least three gathered around one spot talking about someone. &ldquo;See, her eyes are still open.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Man she bit me. You believe that shit. I just offered her some G and she got all freaked out and shit.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Dude, what did I tell ya about that. Ya just slip soma this in their dink,&rdquo; one of the trio said as he sat down. &ldquo; It ain&rsquo;t worth workin too hard around here.&nbsp;&nbsp;Half these girls are stoned anyway.&rdquo;<br /><br />Daisy felt slightly emboldened by the fact that the group didn&rsquo;t seem to care that there were others around. She needed to get closer, needed to be sure it wasn&rsquo;t Cecily they were talking about.<br /><br />&ldquo;Man I don&rsquo;t want a limp noodle,&rdquo; one said taking a knee, &ldquo;I want someone who&rsquo;ll play the game a little. They start getting horny with the G, last week one almost raped me, it was some of the best strange I got. But I&rsquo;m out man, I ain&rsquo;t into ragdolls.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Whatever, you don&rsquo;t know what you&rsquo;re missing. You don&rsquo;t find&rsquo;em this young out here often. I bet her mother&rsquo;s a junky and brought her to get a fix. Might even of offered her up for a dime.&rdquo;<br /><br />Daisy&rsquo;s stomach turned as she listened to the furs talk. She stepped aside as the one left walking past with a nod of acknowledgement toward her. As she got closer her heart stopped, time seemed to stand still as reality fell apart around her. Her eyes followed the long fuzzy tail from the tip up to where the one black furred canine sat on a stained mattress. Shivers of fear and rage ran through her body as she watched him brush the small brown face with his paw and mutter, &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t worry, it&rsquo;ll only hurt at first, but you&rsquo;ll like.&rdquo;<br /><br />Her entire body went numb when she saw the tear filled brown eyes look up at her, almost lifelessly. She saw her mouth moving, but nothing came out as the canine said, &ldquo;Shhh, it&rsquo;ll be okay.&rdquo;<br /><br />The rage built in her faster than she would have imagined as the canine let his paw slip down to fondle the small mouse&rsquo;s chest. From that point on it was almost as if it were someone else moving and she was only seeing things through their eyes. Her empty paw shot up and grabbed the canine by the hair and jerked his head around, the other bringing the pistol to rest its muzzle in the center of his forehead. She didn&rsquo;t recognize the voice that said, &ldquo;you touch her again, and I swear to God they&rsquo;ll be scooping up your head with a sponge.&rdquo; Her arm jerked pulling the canine backwards and sending him crashing to the floor on his back as she stepped closer and dropped down onto her knee into his chest as hard as she could knocking the air from his lungs. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the dark furred fox make a move as if to try and run. Swinging her arm around she leveled the pistol at the center of his chest, her thumb drawing back the hammer of the 45 as she said, &ldquo;another inch and you won&rsquo;t need to breath. Sit your fucking ass down and don&rsquo;t even blink unless I tell you to.&rdquo;<br /><br />Everything froze at the sound of gunfire as everyone; even Daisy looked toward the door. &ldquo;Get her out, take her home,&rdquo; the chinchilla shouted, &ldquo; You don&rsquo;t want to be here for this.&rdquo;<br /><br />Nodding in understanding Daisy uncocked the pistol and slipped it into the back of the waistband of her jeans before leaning over the small mouse. She looked into her lovers brown eyes, her paw gently touching the mouse&rsquo;s face for a moment as she said, &ldquo;I got you Sisy, we&rsquo;re getting the fuck out of here,&rdquo; before she scooped the limp body of her girlfriend up into her arms and started walking out of the room. As she got close to the chinchilla she said, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll see you at the house,&rdquo; as she passed by. <br /><br />The last thing Daisy heard as she carried Cecily&nbsp;&nbsp;down the hall was one of the group shouting, &quot;what the fuck is...&quot; followed by three gunshots, then silence.<br /><br /><strong>▂▃▅▇█▓▒░۩۞۩ Guardian Angel ۩۞۩░▒▓█▇▅▃▂</strong><br /><br />Daisy didn&rsquo;t remember the ride home, only that she kept looking at Cecily laying in her passenger seat. She didn&rsquo;t even remember carrying her up to their room. All she knew at that point was that the world was crueler than she ever imagined.&nbsp;&nbsp; And the realization of just how vulnerable the small mouse she had fallen in love with must feel all the time.<br /><br />She sat on the bed with Cecily curled up in her arms, counting the slow measure breaths of the drugged mouse. She knew the girl had fought back. But was overpowered by the three assailants.&nbsp;&nbsp; The more the scene played through her head the more she rocked the little body in her arms. She felt nauseous as the thought of them targeting her because she was small and young looking. The Idea that they thought that they might have even gotten the girl for some drugs if she was with her mother physically sickened her.<br /><br />She was completely oblivious to what time it must have been when the rest of the group filed into the room. &ldquo; How is she?&rdquo; Lilliana asked as she sat on the edge of the bed.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&hellip; I don&rsquo;t know,&rdquo; Daisy said looking down at her, &ldquo; She&hellip; she hasn&rsquo;t moved.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Not surprising,&rdquo; Susan responded. &ldquo;Lay her out on the bed and I&rsquo;ll check her out. You need to go with Lilly.&rdquo;<br /><br />Daisy felt disconnected from everything as she let go of her lover and rose from the bed. The disembodied feeling continued as she followed the liger out of the room into the hall. <br /><br />&ldquo;Daisy,&rdquo; Lillian said as the door was closed behind them, &ldquo;Look at me. Look me in the eyes.&rdquo; She commanded flatly as she placed her paws on the moose&rsquo;s shoulders. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m going to set you an appointment with Dr. Fletcher. Do you understand?&rdquo;<br /><br />&nbsp;The moose felt her head move as if someone else was working her like a puppet. Everything felt so distant, strange and dull. <br /><br />&ldquo;You did good,&rdquo; Lilliana said continuing to keep eye contact. &ldquo; But you shouldn&rsquo;t have been put in that situation and I am sorry. If&hellip; If I had known&hellip;&rdquo; The world slowly came back into focus as Daisy watched the tears roll down Lilliana&rsquo;s cheek. &ldquo; You&rsquo;ve already done more than I ever expected you to, and it&rsquo;s all my fault.&rdquo; <br /><br />&ldquo;How&hellip;&rdquo; Daisy said as the world around her snapped into clarity again. &ldquo; How is this your fault Lilly?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;re Seventeen,&rdquo; the liger said, &ldquo;I shouldn&rsquo;t have put the kind of pressure I did on you about taking responsibility for my daughter. You didn&rsquo;t deserve it. You&rsquo;ve been there for her when she needed you, and that&rsquo;s all you should have to do. And I&rsquo;ll never ask you to do anything like you did today&hellip; ever again.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;No,&rdquo; Daisy said shaking her head slowly. &ldquo; You didn&rsquo;t put anything on me that I didn&rsquo;t put on myself the day I fell for Sisy. If anything&hellip; I think I understand finally why she feels so helpless because of her size.&rdquo; Leaning against the wall Daisy looked at the floor for several long moments before she spoke again. &ldquo;I would do anything for her Lilly, and that goes a lot farther than even I realized until tonight. I&rsquo;ll always be there for her when she needs me, and even when she doesn&rsquo;t, I&rsquo;ll still be there for her no matter what it takes.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;ve proven that, Daisy,&rdquo; The liger said as she lifted the moose&rsquo;s chin with her paw to look her in the eyes. &ldquo; And no one can say otherwise. Even if tonight didn&rsquo;t happen the way it had, you being there for her gave her the confidence to even try going out. The world is not a perfect place, and furs like Cecily will always be targets for someone. All we can truly do is be there for her when she falls, and pick her back up so she never ends up where we found her again.&rdquo;<br /><br />A moment after Lilliana finished speaking and let go of Daisy&rsquo;s face, the other Dark Riders came out of the room. Susan looked over at the pair and said, &ldquo; She&rsquo;s coming out of it and will be okay. It doesn&rsquo;t look like they got very far. But she wants you, Daisy.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Thank God, and thanks Susan,&rdquo; she said pushing herself off the wall and walking towards the door to their room. Daisy stopped before she opened it and looked at the group as she said, &ldquo;no matter what anyone may think, she&rsquo;s got the best family she could ever hope for. She deserves it more than anyone knows.&rdquo; Turning back to the door she opened it and went inside to her girlfriend, quietly closing it behind her. <br />daisy walked over and sat downon the edge of the bet beside the small mouse. Laying her paw on the smaller girls arm she said, &ldquo;hey sweet lips, how you holding up?&rdquo;<br /><br />Weakly Cecily rolled over and pulled herself into Daisy&rsquo;s lap and curled up. &ldquo; You&hellip; you saved me,&rdquo; she said, her voice barely a whisper. &ldquo;I called and you came&hellip; you&rsquo;re an angel&hellip;&rdquo; Daisy could feel the tears dripping into her fur with the mouse&rsquo;s weak grasp pulling at her. &ldquo; It&hellip; it was all dark and you were just&hellip;. suddenly there.&rdquo; She nuzzled her head into Daisy&rsquo;s leg as she whispered, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll never leave you again. Never. I know I am safe with you. Nothing can touch me when I have you.&rdquo;<br /><br />Tears starting to well up in her eyes as she listened to the soft, weak voice of her girlfriend Daisy had to fight to keep herself together as she spoke. &ldquo; You&rsquo;ll always be safe with me Sisy, and I&rsquo;ll never leave you either. Whenever you need me I&rsquo;ll be right there with you, always squeaker. You&rsquo;re&hellip; you&rsquo;re the only thing that matters to me and it will always be that way.&rdquo; Taking a few moments to steady herself, and her voice she added, &ldquo;as long as I can do anything at all about it, no one will ever hurt you again&hellip; ever.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;I love you Daisy,&rdquo; the small mouse said weakly as her body started to go limp again.<br /><br /></span>",
