I changed the title because I thought it sounded stupid... -_-","writing":"About two weeks after Sonic told Shadow that he is pregnant.\n\n\nSonic was pacing back and forth in the living room, pulling at the loose ends of his gray sweater nervously. He was expecting a call from his mother and siblings any minute. Now that Shadow knows, he has to tell his mom. He was afraid to though. He doesn’t want her to be mad. She was scary when she was mad.\n\nThe blue hedgehog’s mother, Queen Aleena, was a nice lady. She cared about her children very much and made sure she was a part of their lives, no matter how far away they were.\n\nSonic had chosen to move away from his family at 13 because he wanted something more out of his life other than being a prince. That’s what led him to being a hero, something he really enjoyed. \n\nHis brother, Manic, and sister, Sonia, on the other hand, wanted something else. Sonia stayed with their mother, so now she is in line to be the next Queen. Sonic would have been the King when his mother stepped down, since he is the oldest. Be since he left, he wouldn’t be able to. Manic still stayed with their mother as well, but he isn’t into the royal life like Sonia. He hangs around the castle, sure, but he’s always off doing his own thing most of the time. He never says what though.\n\nAleena was a more traditional woman, not believing in sex before marriage, or having kids before you were married. She understands that her children might not hold her same views, expect for maybe Sonia. But what she while not accept is marrying too young or having children at an early age. She always says how they should wait until they were at least 23 before even thinking about it.\n\nSonic isn’t even 21. He’s only 19, he’s barely an adult. And Shadow is older than him, technically being 23 himself, Aleena is sure to blame it on the dark hedgehog. And if she blames Shadow, the least she would do is probably bash his head in for knocking up her son. And of course, she would go on a rant about how they should always use protection and blah, blah, blah…\n\nThey do use protection though. They might not always use condoms when they have sex, but Sonic takes birth control pills. Though, it doesn’t help that Shadow is extremely fertile. He sat on the couch in front of it, before taking a breath and accepting the call.\n\n“Hey Sonia.” He greeted, giving her a small wave.\n\n“Hey bro, how’ve you been?” Sonia replies with a smile.\n\n“Fine…” He also had a smile on his face, though it was a nervous one.\n\n“Anything exciting happen? You look nervous.” Leave it to Sonia to always have a tell on him.\n\n“Actually, yeah. But I want mom and Manic to hear it too…”\n\n“Oh. Sure, I’ll go get them.” Sonia’s face left the screen. This gave Sonic a brief moment to calm his nerves.\n\nThis shouldn’t be too hard. It’ll be just like the time he told them he found an orphan when he moved out here and decided to keep it. Though is Tails his brother more then his child and they actually like Tails. Shadow on the other hand…\n\nSpeaking of Shadow, where was he? He said he was going to be here when he told his family the news.\n\n“I hope he didn’t skip out on me…” Sonic mumbled under his breath.\n\nAs if right on cue, Shadow walked into the room, looking like he just woke up. Well, he did come from work late after all, he must have been asleep still. He trudged over to the couch in a zombie like fashion, Sonic couldn’t help but laugh at him.\n\nShadow dropped onto the couch as graceless as possible, yawning all the while. He sighed tiredly before raising an eyebrow at Sonic giggling at him. “What?”\n\nSonic reached over to rub his ears and try to tame his quills with his fingers. “Aw, my poor sleepy baby~.” He cooed. “You didn’t sleep too good, did you?”\n\nShadow batted his hands away with a slight growl. “Cut it out, hedgehog.” Sonic kissed him on the cheek, smiling at how ‘cute’ he was acting.\n\nAfter a minute or two, Sonia appeared on the screen again, this time joined by Manic and the Queen.\n\n“Yo, Sonic!” Manic greeted a bit loudly.\n\n“Hello dear. What is it you have to tell us?” Aleen asked, getting straight to the point.\n\nSonic instantly felt nervous again. He was silent until he felt Shadow grab his hand and give it a small squeeze. He glanced over to the dark hedgehog to see him giving him a small smile. Looking back at his laptop, Sonic took a breath before talking with a smile. “Shadow and I are going to have a baby.”\n\nThe expressions he received were a mix of shock, happiness, and something else he couldn’t tell.\n\nManic was the first to speak. “What?” Was all he could say.\n\n“Guys, I’m pregnant.”\n\n“Oh wow! That’s amazing, Sonic!” Sonia smiled at him.\n\n“Yeah, totally. Dudes, you’re going to be parents.” Manic had a smile as well.\n\n“I’m going to Auntie!”\n\n“Congratulations, dear.” Aleena said over her children’s excitement, expression unreadable. She obviously wanted to say something else, but was holding off on it. She cleared her throat, grabbing the attention of the other two. “Could you give me a moment to speak with your brother?”\n\nThe green and pink hedgehog’s left, leaving Aleena alone to talk to Sonic.\n\nAleena’s expression was serious, but she didn’t look angry. “I hope you understand what a large responsibly it is to take care of a child.”\n\nSonic sighed. “I know mom. I already have experience from raising Tails.”\n\n“I know you do, dear, but raising a baby is much different than raising a toddler. But I trust your judgement and wish you the best.” Aleena said with a smile.\n\n“Thanks mom.”\n\n\n“Well, that didn’t go as bad as you thought it would.” Shadow said, still a bit tired. His mom has never liked any guy he’s dated, that being the reason his relationships never lasted long.
