Although drawn by chuckybb, it sounds like it came from an unknown commissioner. Ori and the Memphis Pralis The Misty Woods... It was here that the Gumon's Seal resided. And it was this artifact alone that would grant them access to the Forlorn Ruins. But the Misty Woods were rife with danger. Strange creatures roamed the woods, while odd plants spouted up like wildfire. And that wasn't even the most frightening part. The woods got their name from a mysterious mist that shrouded the entire region. Rumor had it, you could spend an eternity wandering lost within the bewildering mist. But Ori and Sein couldn't let any of that deter them. If Nibel was to survive, they had to do this. The woods proved to be true to their namesake. A light fog permeated the air, playing tricks on their senses and distorting the very woods around them. More than once they found themselves unable to continue forward, and would turn back only to find themselves traveling a completely different path. It was like the trees themselves were alive, mocking them; Toying with them. How long they had spent wandering the twisted woods, they couldn't say. Time lost all meaning within the mist and the forest seemed to be trapped in a state of perpetual nightfall, making the time of day impossible to tell. It was beginning to look like the rumors were true and that they would spend forever lost withing the cursed mists. But they pressed on, unwilling to give up on Nibel's only hope. Eventually Ori and Sein came to a part of the forest they had not yet seen. They stepped into a small clearing that was particularly lush with foreign flora. But in the center grew a familiar bush sporting some small red berries. Ori's stomach growled at the tantalizing sight of the juicy delicious looking berries. He hadn't had anything to eat since entering the Misty Woods and he was practically starving. Ori rushed over to the bush, plucking a few berries and tossing them into his mouth. He closed his eyes and murred as he chewed away at the delectable treats, splashing his tongue with their juicy flavor. Sein felt uneasy though. The food seemed a little too convenient and she couldn't shake the dreadful feeling that they were being watched. She kept a close eye on their surroundings, watching for anything that might pose a threat. However what she failed to notice was the vine slowly creeping down towards her from above. Silently it descended upon its prey, waiting patiently for the right moment to strike. Closer... Closer... Now! Swiftly the vine struck, wrapping around the ball of light and snatching it back to the treetops. Only the faintest of "Eek"s could be heard as Sein was whisked away, a cry that went unnoticed by Ori as he continued to munch away at the delicious berries. With his stomach filled and his vigor restored, Ori finally turned his attention away from the berry bush. It was then that he finally noticed Sein's absence. He looked around in confusion, trying to see if he had merely missed her. But when he didn't find anything, fear began to creep into his mind. Without Sein he was defenseless and vulnerable. She wouldn't have left him, which meant something must have happened to her. But what?! Ori was so wrapped up in his thoughts, that he didn't even notice the vine creeping up behind him, poised to strike at its unsuspecting prey. Suddenly Ori felt something slither around his ankle before he was violently hoisted into the air. He found himself looking down at the maw of a rather menacing looking plant. Sharp teeth-like protrusions lined the top of its maw, and several vines were extending from its center, including the one holding him. His eye's grew wide as terror gripped his mind. In a panic, he began to flail about, trying to shake himself free from his captor, but three more vines shot towards him, ensnaring his arms and legs, and pulling them into a splayed position. His frantic struggles increased, but the vines continued to coil around his limbs, strengthening their hold on him. Ori cried out as a sharp pain suddenly shot through his right arm. He looked to find that the vine had embedded a tiny maw into his shoulder, causing a small trail of blood to trickle down his fur. The vine began to suck rhythmically on the fresh wound and Ori could see tiny bulges travel down its length as it gorged itself on his blood. A moment later the same pain surge through his other arm and legs as the other vines began their feeding. Ori cried out in pain again, tears flowing from the poor light spirit's eyes as the life was slowly drained from his body. However the plant was far from done with Ori. Three more vines extended from its maw and snaked their way up to the bound spirit, hovering just in front of his face. The vines suddenly shot forward, attempting to work their way into his mouth. Ori wasn't sure what these vines wanted, but judging by what the others were doing to him, he didn't want any part of it. He kept his mouth shut tight as he shifted his head around, trying to avoid the invading appendages. But the vines were persistent, constantly wiggling and pressing against his lips in an attempt to gain access inside. Ori continued to resist valiantly, but with each passing moment, more and more of his strength was leeched away. It wasn't long before the vines managed to worm their way in, pushing to the back of the mouth and plunging down the spirit's throat. Ori's cries of panic were muffled as the appendages slithered down his esophagus, finally settling in the pit of his stomach. The sensation of the vines wriggling within him, made Ori feel sick to his stomach. What was this plant doing to him?! The vines' purpose became clear as they began to suck vigorously, slurping up the stomach's contents; Acid, chyme, and all. Ori felt distressingly empty inside as the plant pumped his stomach clean, robbing him of much needed nutrients. It was clear now that this plant intended to suck him dry. It would not stop until every drop of life giving liquid was drained from his body. It was a truly hellish way to die, and fresh tears streamed down the light spirit's face as he wondered what he had done to deserve such a horrific fate. Unfortunately for poor Ori, his suffering was only beginning. He felt a tugging at his limbs, and noticed that he was being pulled towards the plant's gaping maw. He released a muffled cry of protest as his feet were sucked into the hungry maw. He wanted to resist, to fight back against the ravenous plant, but he felt so weak; It was like the fight was literally being sucked out of him. And so the maw continued to gulp him down, pulling in his arms and chest, leaving only his head and shoulders outside the toothy maw. Ori took one final look at his surroundings. The mysterious yet deadly flora of the Misty Woods would be the last he ever saw of Nibel. He released one final pitiful whimper before his head sank into the maw and he was dragged completely into darkness. The inside of the plant's stomach was the very definition of hell. It was hot, sticky, and the stench of blood hung heavily in the air; No doubt a result of the monster's foul diet. The vines still held him tight, never ceasing their greedy feast. Pain and despair began to consume Ori. It was hopeless now. Any chance he had of escaping his gruesome fate was gone. This hellish pit would be his grave. He could only tremble in terror as he awaited his agonizingly slow demise. Several more vines slithered up from the base of the stomach, sinking into various points along the spirit's chest and back. Ori cried and writhed in the throes of agony as new spikes of pain flared across his body. His thrashing died down quickly though as his strength was sapped from his system. Soon he could do nothing but whimper and shudder violently as the plant glutted itself upon his blood. Just when Ori thought things couldn't get any worse, he felt something press against the base of his tailhole. He let out another muffled cry of disapproval; Hadn't this thing done enough to him already?! But the plant paid no heed to the light spirit's protests. Without hesitation the vine forced its way into Ori's tailhole, pushing deep into his anal passage. A silent scream of horror escaped Ori as pain tore through his virgin tunnel. But the appendage didn't stop there; it dove deeper and deeper into Ori's bowels, slithering through his colon and into his small intestines. Apparently this thing wouldn't be satisfied until it had violated him completely. Small squeaks of pain were all Ori could manage as his body was thoroughly ravaged by the monstrous plant. The vines pumping his stomach; The ones sucking his blood; and the one squirming within his bowels; The pain was too much for the poor light spirit to bear. He felt cold and weak as his body was deprived of life-giving blood; He was dying. Tired... He was so tired... Slowly his tear filled eyes slid shut, never to open again as he endured his final pain-filled moments. And so as the last of Ori's life was drained away, so too was Nibel's last hope for survival.
