I remember it like it was yesterday. I was outside of the city, working at a farm. And I smelt this.. this stench. It was horrific, it was like a mix between crap and socks. Then I heard the crackling. Then the screams. I turned to face the city. It was burning. Every house. At once. It was like a diabolical house of mirrors. I remember shouting. The farmer came running. He was suprisingly calm. “ ah right reckon that you better go look fer yer fam-lee” I nodded. And starting sprinting. As I almost left the farm, the farmer shouted. “here! Just n'case.” while throwing me an axe. I have no idea what he meant by “just incase.” but I kept running none the less. It took a few minutes to get to my house. The fire had been extinguised, due to it's close proximity to the well. Unfortunately, wooden bars from the roof had fallen infront of it. I smiled at the axe, and proceeded to chop as much wood away as it took. Eventually, the door was reachable. And I opened it. The house seemed untouched. Inside, it was different. The wallpaper my mother seemed to like so much had changed, to a sort of purple. It was warm. And moist, to the touch. All of the wood inside was bone, all of the stone was a white, veiny material. I heard a noise. A grunt sort of sound. I turned around, and saw a lumbering, gigantic monster. It had 3 eyes, forming an equilateral trinagle of optics. I raised the axe defencively. The beast simple laughed, grabbed me by the throat, and picked me up into the air.\n\nI felt fear rush over me. The beast was entirely bald, save for a tuft of hair, which was black. The three eyes were set on mine, and the monster was smiling. Two lengthy teeth jutted out from the sides of it's mouth, longer than the rest. The beast tilted it's head. And threw me. With a thud, I clattered against a counter. I dropped. I felt something grabbing at the sides of my leather pants. My first thought honestly, was “oh hell no!” I reached for the axe near my side, turned as fast as I could, and swung as hard as I could. The beast stepped back. It looked at its right hand. Which was now on the floor. It's gaze turned to the now profusely bleeding stump . It looked at me. It gurgled something and roared. The beast charged. I raised the axe in the air, a brought it down. It connected between the beasts first two eyes, and split the third.it dropped. Panting, I went to look upstairs. My family had to be somewhere, right? I went into my bedroom. It was simple, small and empty of any family. I went into my sisters, same story. However, behind my parents closed door, was a red glow. It slowly opened it. What I saw, shocked me to my core.\n\nThe was a sort of, hole. In the wall. It was spherical, and the red aura was emitting from it. I turned my head. On my parents bed. It was my mother. She was on all fours, her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Behind her, a very tall, very, very muscular man. Instead of skin, he had scales. He had no hair, instead having a stripe of red scales amongst the sea of green. He was pounding his pelvis into my mothers. He grabbed the bedknob infront of my mothers head, and leaned over her back, he opened his mouth, revealing fangs, and a forked tounge. He stuck his tounge in my mothers ear, causing her to moan loudly. His eyes widened, and he moved his eyes to look at me. He stopped pounding. And spoke. “hello. Sssson..” I was shocked. “incasssse your are wondering, thisss portal here is my doing. All I wanted wasssss unlimtied power. And I knew that the demonsss could give it to me. And guesssss what? They did.” he laughed and my mouth hung agape. “was.. was It you who burned the city?” I asked. “me? no. I never had been one for arssssson. However, I did make a deal with the demonss. For every ssssacrifice I make, the more power I get. Naturally, the demons prefer virginssss so I gave them your sssissster. Ssshe, like me, transformed into a ssssnake. However, ssshe became a naga.. we'll sssssee what happenssss to you..” he lunged at me, and threw me in. I blacked out. When I woke up, I too, had become a lizard-man. Not as muscualar as my dad, and had a forked tounge. Anyway. Names John. Whats yours?” the man finished his story, as the patron, sitting at the bar replied “my name's Lok'iri. I come from a small tribe down near the river. So, your dad was responsible for starting all this?” he asked, curious. “i guess so, but, then again. You know. Demons.” he said. “what brings you to the proverbial neck of the woods.” he continued. “I am on a quest for my people! The village is dying, the cows famished, the children sick. If I do not find the Potion of Immense Rejuvenation, or P.O.I.R, then surely, my village will be doomed!!” he shouted, trumphantly. “seriously?” the lizard man asks. “pffft. Nah. My friend told me this place had a good beer.” Lok'iri laughed. “well, you heard right. Just listen.” the lizard said, leaning in. “try not to tell anyone about the whole “dad ended the world” thing. People get mighty touchy bout that.” he chuckled. “um.. ok. But i'm looking for work, anyway you can help me out?” Lok'iri asked. “me? no. I don't have anything for you to do, but tell you what. Go see Lindara. She's the blacksmith. And a tribal too. You help her out, i'm sure she could forge a weapon for you, and send you to more places for work.” replied the barman. Lok'iri gets up and leaves. Outside, the sun is shining, and in the lush green meadows, work several people, tending to the cows and working the fields. Lok'iri walks down from the bar, into the centre of town, looking for the sign for the black smith. Overhearing two loud voices, he looks towards the direction of them, and finds and argument brewing between a horse and a wolf. “AT LEAST I DON'T KILL PEOPLE FOR A LIVING!!” shouts the horse. Anger in the wolves eyes, it shouts back “I DO NOT KILL PEOPLE. I MAKE WEAPONS. HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THAT FROM THAT?!” this must be the black smith. “YOU SUPPLY PEOPLE WITH THE MEANS TO KILL ANOTHER. YOU DON'T ASK QUESTIONS, YOU DON'T DO A CHECK. YOU WILL GIVE THESE WEAPONS TO ANYONE!!” the horse finishes, snorting. The wolves only response is “do you have kids?” confused the horse replies “what? Yes.. why? Are you gonna rip their throats out, you fucking dog?” \nsmiling, the wolf simply replies “ now, that was uncalled for. The reason I asked, is that you have kids. And a little now fact is that most raiders, and murderers and rapists, actually had paretns at one point in time. It's where they came from. You gave birth, and are therefore supplying a person with the potential to murder. And you walk into this town with your 'holier than thou' act, even though when all is said and done, you're no better than me.” the horse pauses. She opens her mouth and closes it. There is a suprisingly awkward silence. Finally speaking the horse says “I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!” and leaps at the wolf.\n\n Deciding this is the time to step in, Lok'iri sprints down the hill and practically leaps into the middle of the fight. There is biting and punching and kicking, and due to the superior strength, the horse is pinning down the wolf and punching it in the face repeatedly. Lok'iri grabs her by the mane, and pulls her off, throwing her to the ground in turn. “what-Argh! What the hell? This is none of your concern.” she says, on the floor. Lok'iri, putting on his charm face says “ladies. Please. I enjoy a catfight just as much as the next man, but that started as debate. You had no right to attack her. The minute you can't think of an argument, you assault your opponant. Does that seem fair to you?” he asks. The horse suddenly looks sheepish. “I... no.” she lowers her head, blushing. “now. That that's calmed down. I think you should apologise.” he says, pointing to the slightly bleeding wolf on the floor. “i won't apologise to a murdering, piss drinking dog like her.” the horse said, the rage in her eyes obvious. In a swift movement, Lok'iri very simply slaps the horse, with the back of his hand. “think about what you say before you say it. Now, I think you best leave. Bigot.” he said. The horse, grasping her face got up, and ran away. Turning, he says “ now, madam. Would you like a hand up?” smiling, the wolf woman smiles, and says “ thank you.” getting up she says, “ I'm Lindara. You saved me from getting my ass kicked by a mule. Thanks.” she said, smiling and blushing. “pfft. Don't worry about it. Anyway, you the blacksmith. The guy at the bar said you could get me a weapon..” Lok'iri replied. “oh. John? What was it this time? Lemme guess. um. World got blazed by aliens? No? aw. That ones good. Ooh! Got it. Dad turned into a lizard, fucked his mom, and turned him into a lizard. That's it isn't it? aw. He's full of crap.” the wolf laughed. “ anyway, come back to my place. I can make you a weapon capable of scaring the crap out of a six eyed, four dicked octupus with a catapult.” she turned and stared walking. Lok'iri follwed and made it back to her place.","writing_bbcode_parsed":"<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>&ldquo;I was Fifteen, you know, when &#039;IT&#039; happened.
