Prologue part 4: You are here", "writing": "[t]New Beginnings\n[/t]\n[i]Continuing where last week left off for a change\n[/i]\n\nOur intrepid heroine sneaks into one of the hospital tents set up outside the demolished lab’s entrance kneeling beside the sleeping Cecilia’s cot. “It would of been nice to have a pet mousie, but I’ll have enough trouble as it is. Maybe I’ll come find you when things settle down.” She leans in and kisses the mouse, breaking the kiss with a grin, and going through the former intern’s pockets for her security key fob thinking it might come in handy someday.\n\nRising she tugs her high-tech stolen spandex security jumpsuit the fabric stretched by the eggs still inside her. ‘Probably should stay, it’d be safer to have someone remove the eggs before they hatch, but I’m not going to risk getting caught again. I’d much rather be free and have to birth these things then get stuck in another lab.’ ‘Heh. probably be smarter if I stopped talking to myself out loud.’ She moves through the snow-filled winter night eventually stumbling upon the local middle school finding an unlocked door, scavenging cushions and blankets from various rooms and taking shelter in the science lab. Turning the collected items into a nest of sorts she yawns strips off her borrowed uniform and curls up under one of the tables planning to take a nap and deal with the eggs once she was better rested.\n\nUnfortunately for her she is awoken the next morning by the arrival of a teacher who flips the lights on and starts going through drawers at the front of the room the otter’s nest not yet visible from there. She gets to her knees and edges forward, peeking out from under the lab bench trying to spot the unexpected visitor. Once the noise stops she freezes still trying to figure out who’s there the solid sides of the benches keeping her from seeing the predator stalking silently down the center aisle. \n\nThe hermaphrodite science teacher takes a few sniffs as she walks into the room, easily able to detect the scent of slightly sweaty and still sticky otter thanks to the buildings central air being off for the break. Deliberately making extra noise she slips off her shoes and socks before moving down the middle of the room checking under the tables till she finds a bare bottom sticking out from beneath one. With a faint grin she clears her throat and grabs the girls tail. “You do realize this is a science lab and not a girls dormitory right?”\n\nThe otter yelps trying to wiggle out of her grip. Before you ask, it’s complicated hell I’m complicated, and I’d really rather not talk about any of it.”\n\n“All right miss complicated” she chuckles lightly “I won’t ask, but I will make a few guesses. First, there were quite a few emergency vehicles and what looked like army hospital tents outside a office building not too far from here. Second, while there wasn’t much on the news regarding it they did mention that the building was owned by some sort of medical research company. Which leads me to third. You most likely were there, that company was doing rather odd research, and you decided to leave rather than wait on the government’s help. All that’s left is why you thought leaving in the middle of winter with a belly full of god knows what was better than waiting”\n\nAll through her statement the otter was making small distressed noises with each correct assertion finally burying her head in the felines chest-fur at the last statement. “It’s complicated remember? You’re far too smart for your own good, now please could we get to a shower or something. The last thing you want is for one of these to slip out and crack.”\n\nShe chuckles again at the otter burying her face in her fur. “Alright, alright, I’ll leave it alone for now. We can borrow one of the locker room showers, that should be fairly mess-proof.” She hoists up the diminutive otter in a bridal carry and starts walking eventually stopping in a reasonably sized shower room with half-walls dividing a number of stalls running down both sides of the room. Picking one at random she sets the otter back on her feet and takes a step back. “Do you need anything else?\n\nMiss complicated blushes some more as she is carried naked through the school, glaring up at the taller woman once they stop. “I can still walk you know!.. Thanks though, this should work just fine, I guess.. Always had help from those damn…” she trails off with a brief look up at her. \n\n“Let me guess, it’s complicated? What do you remember about the other times you did this?”\n\nShe goes to the shower and turns it on, adjusting the water to be fairly warm and pointing it off to the side. “Humidity then, it was fucking damp where we were kept. position next... “ She trails off again with a groan and falls against one of the half walls a thick greenish fluid running down her legs. “Out of time, fuck, could you get the rest of the showers going? The extra heat should help me relax if nothing else” With another groan she lowers herself to the floor, sitting with her legs spread and leaning against the tiled wall.\n\nNodding she starts going down the row turning them all on and calling out over her shoulder. “The name’s Kathrin by the way. I figure anybody I watch giving birth deserves to know at least that.” Laughing she sheds the rest of her clothes in the locker area before going down the other wall of shower finally ending up back where she started naked as the otter now. “I thought you’d need some help, especially with the whole cracking equals bad thing you mentioned.”\n\n“That was more a guess than anything, but I figured if one cracked it might, you know, hatch early.” She shivers more of the green stuff leaking from her slit which she collects on two fingers. “I’ll probably pass out once it starts, at least I did the other times.
