Saturday Morning
As the plane flew to Catlanna, Ophelia and Jacob were having a heated discussion.
“Jacob, I don’t trust him. He’s human. What if he takes Amanda’s innocence? What if he hurts
her, emotionally or physically?”
“Ophelia, I told you, Michael is a good person. I can’t imagine him forcing Amanda to do
anything that she doesn’t want to do. I can’t imagine him hurting her in any way. He cares about
her. With her feelings for him plus her being in heat, I’m more concerned about her taking his
innocence.”
“He’s a human, Jacob. That’s all I need to know about him.”
“Well, it’s the weekend. I understand that Michael wants to visit the area of Gargia that he grew
up in and see how much it’s changed over the last 20,000 years. I’m afraid he’s in for a shock, a
big shock.”
“And I suppose he’s going to force our daughter to accompany him.”
“I doubt that, Ophelia. He’ll probably ask her if she wants to go with him but, he won’t force her
to go.”
“She wouldn’t have to worry about whether or not he’ll force her if you would have told her to
come back to Catlanna with us.”
