Jaguarville
At 1630, Leo and Tigresa returned home from work. As they entered their house, they heard a
delighted scream and heard the sound of two little feet pounding the floor as Anne ran as fast as
a two-year-old could run from her room to the living room and straight into her mother’s arms.
Anne reached her little arms around her mother’s neck and hugged Tigresa as hard as she could.
Directly behind Anne walked Mrs. Khomyak.
Anne said to Tigresa, “Mama, Mah’l come see Anne?”
“No, Sweetie, Michael is going on a trip for a week.”
“Weally? Way-uh?”
“He’s going far away. He’s going to a place called Jaguarville.”
“Wy?”
“His boss sent him there. He’ll be back a week from Sunday.”
“Mah’l come see Anne Suhny?”
“Maybe not Sunday, Sweetie, but he’ll be back as soon as he can. I promise.”
