Its eyes half way open as it looks left and right; its vision blurred. All it sees is a dim white. Suddenly, there were a couple of bright flashes, some talking was heard and a few crashing noises. The creature inside couldn’t make out all of it, nor understand much of the talking.\n\n“There's a problem with experiment R.”\n\nThere was more talking the creature couldn’t hear; suddenly a big bang was heard, scaring it.\n\n\"This... M.E.R. ... test subject, what shall we do with it?\"\n\n“M… E… R…” The creature thinks. \n\n“… Get rid of it…”\n\nSuddenly, the creature sees the figures move away from him. He feels himself moving far away; now it was pitch dark inside the egg where the scared creature closed his eyes and began to shiver.\n\n***\n\n“Hey… hey, you alright there?”\n\nThe Riolu woke up and saw two figures in front of him: A Rhydon and an Eevee. These were special pokemon though: they were twins. The Rhydon wore a scope over his right eye and had a bracelet on his right wrist with a jewel embedded in it. The Eevee had a bracelet on her tail with a jewel embedded in it as well. She also had a jewel above her left eye.\n\n“You okay, lil’ guy?” The Rhydon says, sounding really concerned.\n\nThe Eevee then speaks. “We saw you shaking in your sleep…”\n\nThe Riolu just scoots back until he is against a tree. \n\n“I bet he’s scared of you, Don.” The Eevee teased.\n\n“Heh, maybe…” The Rhydon holds out his hand. “Don’t be afraid, lil’ guy; I’m big but I’m gentle!”\n\nThe Riolu just gulps and stays still.\n\n“Hmm… would it help if I told you our names?” He smiles. “My name’s Don; that’s my sister over there, Eve.” He made a motion with his head towards her; she smiles when the Riolu looks at her. “We’re brother and sister.”\n\nThe Riolu blinks. “Don… Eve…” He says low.\n\n“What’s your name?” Don asks.\n\nThe Riolu looks up at Don and stares with a slightly open mouth. Next, he closes his eyes and remembers the dream he had. “M… E…R…” Then, the Riolu opens his eyes and looks back up to Don. “M.E.R.” He says.\n\nDon, thinking he was spelling it, says, “Mer, huh?” He grinned. “Okay; nice to meet ya Mer!” He starts to get closer; his arm still out. Mer looks at it and slowly reaches out to grab it; he was starting to feel a bit better now. He was even beginning to smile. \n\n“Where are your parents, Mer?”\n\n“Parents?”\n\n“Yes; your mommy and daddy?”\n\nMer looks down. “I… don’t know…”\n\nDon looked at Eve troubled; he quickly changed his expression to a smile as he picked Mer up and held him close to his chest.\n\nMer hugs Don the best he could; he felt really good against Don’s warm, comforting body. \n\n“Hmm?” Don feels something against his rough skin and looks down. He blinks at the sight of Mer’s crotch. “Whoa…” \n\nMer’s penis was erect. The building was vacant because of the time being long past closing. Don and Eve made Mer a good and well balanced dinner. They sat a couple tables away from him to let him eat by himself as they talked about his ‘special’ problem.\n\n“He looks young; he may not know about that yet.” Eve says.\n\nDon nods. “Yeah; we have to talk to him about that.” He says. He sighs then lets out a soft chuckle. “I never thought I’d ever have to talk about that to anyone.” He then looks over to Mer.\n\nEve giggled and nodded. “Yeah, I know what you mean.” She looks at Mer as well; he was getting done with his meal. “Well, let’s get this over with, Don” She says.\n\nDon nods and stands up; Eve does as well. The two walk over and sit at the table with Mer. \n\nHe was just finishing his drink as he let out a cute coo in relief. He then burped and covered his mouth. \n\nDon chuckled. “Nice one!” He said as he patted Mer’s back. He clears his throat a little as he puts his hands on the table. “Let’s talk, Mer.” He says, still feeling rather shy about the whole subject. Eve was feeling the same way as well but they both knew it had to be done to avoid any troubles in the future. \n\nBoth Don and Eve explained to Mer about his member. Don covered all the male details while Eve covered the female details. Mer would from time to time look down at his shaft. Don explained if Mer ever felt a strange feeling down there that it was okay. He then told him if he ever had an urge to release, it was also okay. Don said to find a private place first then do the deed. Then they taught him how to act in public and if he had warm feelings for another creature.\n\nFinished explaining, Don stood up. “Hang on.” He said as he went back to the kitchen to get something. He came back out and had an apron with him. He motions the Riolu to stand up on the chair as he puts the apron around him. “There ya go.” Don says as he ties up the apron in the back. “Now you don’t have to worry about sudden excitement.” He said with a chuckle. \n\nEve smiled. Her expression changed when she heard a sudden knock at the door. She panicked as she suddenly remembered something. “Hey Don, aren’t we having a meeting tonight?” She asks. \n\nDon thinks for a moment and hits his head. “Oh yeah; can’t believe I forgot!” He says as he jumps up and runs to the door. Don grins as he stands up. “Right on time it seems.” He says. He looks back at Mer. “Think we should introduce him to them?” He asks. “Don’t want him to be spooked again.” \n\nEve giggled and waved a hand at him. “Oh stop; he’ll do fine.” She walks to the door. “Come on; let’s invite them in.” \n\nMer stays at the table as the two walk towards the door to invite the waiting couple inside. \n\n“Welcome!” Both Don and Eve said. They stepped to the side to let the guests in. \n\nIt was quadruped couple: a Delcatty, named Barbara and a Persian named Julias Truefang. Barbara notices Mer sitting at the table. “A Riolu?” She turns her head to the twins. “Don’t see those around here often.” \n\nDon closed and locked the door to the restaurant. “Yep. Eve and I found him around Chronowood Forest and brought the little fella in.” \n\nEve took it from there. “Poor little thing was all alone out there at this time of night.” She leans her head in close to the group and whispered. “We think he might have been abandoned.” \n\nBarbara walks up to the Riolu and gets a whiff of him, which causes Mer to bring his knees up to his chest and hide his face in them. \n\nDon chuckled. “He’s still a bit shy.” \n\nBarbara nods. “Little ones are usually shy.” She looks back towards the twins. “Well, enough distractions; let’s get the meeting underway.” She says as she sits down on the ground; her husband right there next to her. \n\nDon and Eve nods as they each grab a chair to bring them closer to the couple.\n\nMer stays at his table, still with his knees up to his chest and just watches.\n\nThe meeting takes place; the four explain what has happened since their last meeting and got caught up with everything. Once that was done, Don and Eve began to explain about Mer and his ‘special place’. They told the couple that he was probably a new born and told him about everything they knew about sex and controlling his urges and such. \n\nMrs. Delcatty looked at Mer and watched him. “Who’s going to take care of him?” She asked. \n\nDon looked at Eve, who looked back at her brother. “Well, we, uh, didn’t really think of that yet.” Don says; he turns to face Barbara again. “Guess he’ll stay with us; it’ll be no problem!” \n\nBarbara looks back to Don and huffs. “Nonsense.” She begins to say. “You have a restaurant to take care of; how are you going to take of a kid and a business equally like that?” \n\nDon clears his throat and adjusts his scope. “Well… uh, good point, Mrs. Delcatty…” He says. “But who else will take care of him?”\n\nBarbara smiled. “I’ll take him in.” She said, surprising Don, Eve and even Julias. \n\nEve spoke. “B-but we couldn’t possibly ask you to do that!” She said. \n\nBarbara holds out a hold and waves it a little and replies. “I didn’t ask; I said.” \n\nEve blinked and chuckled nervously. “Well, okay then.” \n\nBarbara looks to her husband. “You don’t mind another child in the house do you?” She asks him.\n\nJulias coughed a little and replied, “Well, no, but-” \n\n“Then it’s settled; the little one lives with us.” She declared. “I’ll raise him to be a nice, well-mannered Riolu.”\n\nDon chuckled. “Well, thank you so much Mrs. Delcatty.” He says. \n\nBarbara nods and motions a hand for Mer to get up. “Come, little one.” She says.\n\nMer gulps and looks at Don with a pair of sad eyes. \n\nDon felt warm at that moment and walked to him to pat his head softly. “Don’t worry Mer; Mrs. Delcatty is nice.” He says in a soft tone. “Plus, you guys can come and visit us anytime!” Mer stands on the chair and hugs Don tightly, still not wanting to go. \n\nEve lets out a soft ‘aww’ and watches as her brother hugs Mer back. \n\n“It’s gonna be okay, lil’ guy.” Don says, trying to calm down Mer. \n\nBarbara heads towards the door. “Come, come.” She says. “It’s getting late; if little Riolu wants, we will come sometime when Don and Eve aren’t tired or busy.” \n\nDon walks toward the door as well to unlock and open it for the leaving couple. Now outside, he kneels down to set Mer on his feet. “Listen to everything Mrs. Delcatty tells you okay?” He says. \n\nEve is right behind him and pets Mer’s head. “And remember everything we taught you.” She says as she hugs him as well. \n\nMer nods to them both and turns to face Barbara, who is facing the twins. \n\n“We’ll teach the little one everything he should know to be a proper pokemon.” She says.\n\nDon lets out a nervous chuckle. “You gonna teach him manners already?” He asks.\n\nBarbara huffs. “It’s never too soon to learn manners.” She says as she prepares to walk home. “Come, Riolu; stand up straight and walk up right.” She tells Mer. He does just that and walks alongside her, with Julias on his wife’s right. \n\nAs they walked away, Mer looks back at Don and Eve, who were both waving goodbye. Eve spoke. “I know we just met him but, I can’t help but to miss him already.” \n\nDon nods. “Yeah, I know how you feel. But no worries; he’s in good hands now, I hope.” He chuckled after that little joke. \n\nEve giggled and walked back towards the restaurant doors. “Come on; let’s head in.” She said. “We got a busy day tomorrow.” \n\nDon sighs and is right behind her. “Don’t we always?” He says with a grin and with that, the two lock up for the day and head upstairs to bed. \n\n***\n\nAs the trio walked to Barbara’s home, they each told him of knowledge. Mer nodded each time they were done explaining and made sure to walk correctly, which Mrs. Delcatty was really strict about. The three got to the home of Barbara and Julias: the Delcatty Mansion. Mer stares in awe at the giant structure. It only got bigger as he walked in through the front doors. He looked all around, finding interesting things. But he dared not touch; that wasn’t mannerly.\n\n“Well, with little Riolu, that makes four.” Barbara says. \n\nJulias grins and walks towards the bottom of the stairs. “You really want another one running around here?” He asks his wife. \n\nShe nods. “Maybe it’ll teach Cathy some responsibility.” She says with a huff. \n\nJulias just shakes his head and calls up the stairs. “Cathy? Are you up there?” No answer. \n\nMrs. Delcatty huffed again. “I don’t know why you’re even calling; you know she’s out again with that… artist.” She said with a little disgust in her tone. \n\nJulias walked back to his wife and looked over to Mer, who was still looking around the big mansion, being ever so curious. “Guess I’ll give him the tour of the house; let him become familiar with everything.” He tells Barbara. \n\nShe nods and looks back at him. “Show him his room too; the guest room next to ours.” \n\nJulias nods and walks towards Mer. “Come on, lil’ guy.” He says as he lowers his body for Mer to get on his back. “I’m going to show you around the mansion.” \n\nMer smiles and nods as he carefully got on the Persian’s back and rested his hands on his neck. The two go off through the mansion as Mrs. Delcatty walks back towards the center of the room. \n\nShe looked around at family photos and objects on the shelves and tables. As hard as she wanted to, she couldn’t shake the feeling of her daughter seeing an artist. She’d prefer her to date someone with a more respectable career. She heard the front doors open and turned to see Cathy walk through them. She looked much like her mother, except for the ruby-red fur on her ears, tail and neck. “Where have you been, young lady?” Mrs. Delcatty says. She didn’t mean to sound so loud. Her voice was mixed between relief and anger.\n\n Cathy closed the door and sighed to herself. “Oh, I was just walking around the neighborhood.” Cathy calmly says. \n\n“Don’t lie to me; you were with that Canvi fellow again, weren’t you?”\n\n“Mom! For the last time, Canvi is a good person! He just does what he loves and I’m supporting him all the way!”\n\n“Why can’t you just date someone else?”\n\n“Why can’t you just let me do what I wanna do with my life?!”\n\nJust then, Julias and Mer walked back in the front room where they heard the yelling.\n\n“Welcome home Cathy.” He says, knowing that the argument was about; this happened every day. \n\nCathy just turns and heads towards the stairs; not looking back to her mother as she storms up them. \n\nMrs. Delcatty closes her eyes and hears Cathy stomp up the stairs and to her room. She lets out a small sigh and walks upstairs to Cathy’s room. She hated to see her daughter sad but she couldn’t help but to argue against her taste in men. \n\n“Cathy?” Mrs. Delcatty says as she knocks on the door a couple times. “Come on out; I apologize for earlier.” She says. Behind her came Julias with Mer still on his back. \n\nIn the room, Cathy was lying on her bed with her head on her pillow. She stayed put, thinking it was a trick to get her to open the door so her mom could lecture her. \n\nOutside, Mrs. Delcatty looks over to Mer and smiled. Then, she looked back to the bedroom door. “I want you to meet someone; he is a guest. Well, he is part of the family now.” She says through the door. \n\nThis catches Cathy’s attention; she gets up and opens the door. \n\nMrs. Delcatty and Cathy stare at each other for a brief moment before Cathy looks over and sees Mer. “This is our new family member, Mer.” Mrs. Delcatty says as she pats him on his shoulder. \n\nCathy, kind of confused at the sudden addition of the family, just blinks. “Um… okay.” She says; that was all she could think of to say at the moment. \n\n“It’s getting late.” Mrs. Delcatty says. “We shall discuss more of this in the morning.” She turns to leave but not before saying, “Cathy, talk with little Riolu some more before heading off the bed.” \n\nCathy blinked then looked at Mer. “About what?” She asked. \n\nMrs. Delcatty looks at the two and smiles. “About how much of a good role model you’ll be for him.” Then, she walked down the hall to her bedroom. \n\nJulias just sighs and lets out a chuckle. “You know how your mother gets, Cathy.” He says. \n\nCathy huffs and looks at her room wall. “Yeah, yeah…” She says.\n\n Julias sits beside Cathy and licks her cheek, which earns a cute giggle to come from her. “Cheer up okay?” He tells her as he winks. “Do whatever your heart tells you to do.” \n\nCathy nods and licks her dad back. “Thanks dad!” She says with a smile. \n\nJulias chuckled then turned to leave; he was a bit freer with Cathy then her mother. As he walked past Mer, he pointed just across from Cathy’s bedroom door. “That’s your room. It’s near Cathy and our room just in case you need anything.” Julias says. \n\nMer nods and looks back at Cathy.\n\nJulias walked out the room and headed on to his own to join his wife.\n\nCathy lets out a sigh. “Finally.” She says as she walks over to her dresser. “Now to meet Canvi again.” She giggled after that. \n\nMer tilts his head. “Who’s Canvi?” He asks her. \n\nCathy looks back and answers. “He’s my very special friend.” She grabs a bag and starts to pack up some items inside of it. “Since I can’t stand it here, I try to visit him as much as I can.” She finished packing and walked to Mer. “Now, don’t tell mom where I’m going, okay?” She tells him with a wink. \n\n“Uhm, alright...” He says. Then he asks her. “What about role modeling?” \n\nCathy smacks her lips; her mother did say she was supposed to be a good role model. Thinking quickly, she said, “Oh, I’ll teach you that stuff later.” Just as she was about to walk past Mer, she stopped. “Ah! Almost forgot!” She then went under her bed to grab something. \n\nMer couldn’t help but to catch a glimpse of her rear; her tail wagged softly as she continued to reach for her forgotten item. “Well then, you may now kiss the bride.”
