Waiting and listening patiently as they hear one of the guards walk around and kneel behind the device preparing to pull out the rod that keeps the trapdoor raised up. \n\nWhile the \"Tia'ka\" is a relatively simple device and its trapdoor mechanism is primitive and oftentimes requires brute force to activate, it nonetheless is quite effective at snuffing out the lives of slave boys whom are no longer of use to their betters.\n\nFor the guards assigned to such a duty its just another day. But for the slave boys placed inside the box it shall be a few minutes of slow strangulation and the end of their existence. Despite the knowledge of their fast upcoming end few boys resist or beg.
