Put this in your mind, just for a moment. People all over the world tend to have a
God in some form or another they believe in. There are also many who denounce
what is considered God in any shape or form.
Now, with that fresh in your mind, think of someone who has completely given up
on the notion of God as others perceive it, one who'd been, or felt, wholeheartedly
abandoned by the entity so many believe in.
This is the case with Serenity from the Guardian Master series, who is seen in this
image donning the nun attire given to her as a gift by a Temple her "Master" saved
in the 159th chapter in the series.
Serenity is a woman who was born into the world, only to be blind upon hatching,
then captured by a human, and shortly after, thrown off a cliff, literally, for being a
"defect" and deemed useless for battle. From the moment she escaped her egg,
Serenity was met with the worst welcoming any newborn could face.
Lying in the cold of night, covered in wounds from her plummet, she found her cries
answered not by any God so many place their hopes in, but by the man who would
come to be known as the Guardian Master. It was he who scaled the cliff to caress
her, took him by his side to heal her wounds...
And as time went on, it was he who taught her how to live with the remaining senses
she had, he who trained her to win a gym battle even without sight. And in the 65th
chapter of the series, it wasn't some God people pray to that gave her the gift of sight,
but the man she called her "Master" who helped build a machine to do so, one capable
of transplanting half of his vision to her. He was so pure, so willing to sacrifice for her
sake, her "Master" would leave himself permanently blind in his left eye, so that she
could see the world by his side via her right eye.
It wasn't God who saved her life, it wasn't God who trained her to thrive without sight,
nor' was it God who would give her the sight that was denied from her at birth. If nothing
else, the only thing the God so many trust and worship did was place her in the world as
a sick joke in her mind, born to be laughed at for the sight she was denied and the abuse
she'd suffer as a result.
These factors in mind, as she lived by her "Master"s side, Serenity didn't see the God
others pray to taking action. Whatever good deeds she witnessed, whatever healing she
saw, all of it was done time and again by the man who rescued her. It was not by God's
hand, but by her "Master"s that lives were saved time and again.
Even when it came to places of worship, Serenity didn't see God taking action to help or
protect even these locations. The very Temple mentioned above that gave her the nun
outfit in this picture is a prime example. After being set on fire by vandals, it was her
"Master" who stepped up, hosted an extravagant event to raise funds to restore it, and
gave it his all to do so.
What kind of God lets the sick grow sicker? What kind of God allows those who believe
in it to burn at the hands of others? What kind of God creates a person, only to leave them
without sight? Missing limbs? Deaf? Dumb? Time and time again, the more she saw of the
world, and the more she watched her "Master", the more Serenity began to realize...
People believe in a God that allows so much misery, that creates so much sorrow, and yet
everything people pray to their God for, her "Master" is the one who answers all of their cries,
just as he answered hers so long ago. He helps, he heals, he protects. What others lack,he
gives, what others lose, he restores. The problems the God of others allows to go unchecked,
her "Master" takes charge and puts to an end. Therefore, in her mind, it stands to reason...
"My Master IS a God... A REAL God... MY God..."
Instead of a being prayed to based on stories and imagination, her "Master" is a real, physical,
tangible being. Everything others give their God credit for, her "Master" does time and again.
What others prey to their God for, it's always her "Master" providing. All over the world, people
build places to worship their God, and yet Serenity never sees their God give or do much, if
anything in turn.
When it comes to her "Master" however, he expects nothing for all he does. There are no
Temples to worship him, there are no swaths of crowds expected to get on their knees in his
presence. He just does what is right, what is just. He helps as best he can, listens to the
sorrows of others, and keeps going. That, in her mind, is the very definition of a God to
Serenity, one who not only listens, but takes action in the real world to make a change for the
better with his own two hands, and truly expects nothing in turn.
Because of everything you've read above, this is why Serenity not only acknowledges her
rescuer as her "Master", but has passed that point of devotion and now considers him a true
"God" at this point, a declaration she made all too clearly in the 159th chapter of the series
as well.
At the entrance of a Temple built for another God, this was when, and where she revealed
to her "Master" how highly she placed him in her heart while wearing the nun outfit in this
very picture, rubbing mud in the face of the God the world believes in and making it clear
there was none above her "Master" no matter who that person, or entity was.
Whoever the imaginary God was others believed in, hers was standing right in front of her,
and Serenity had no intention of having anything to do with a figment of peoples desperation
and imagination they couldn't even see or hear and rarely if ever did good for those who
worshiped it. In this sense, you could say Serenity is far more grounded in reality even when
it comes to faith, forming her religion around the man before her instead of an entity in the
clouds people think exist, and likewise thinks performs miracles, resulting in giving credit
where it isn't due in her opinion.
Serenity is a woman who lives not only with her "Master" but also her "God" and spends her
every moment loving him, supporting him, and protecting him. For his sake she would fight,
and likewise kill whoever necessary to insure his safety, and one look at her face in this picture
shows all too clearly how even you could be on her list just for getting on her bad side alone,
whether you are a threat to her "Master", her "God" or not.
After all she has endured, after witnessing the failures of the supposed God's people believe
in throughout her time in the world, she has been left as hardened as any woman could be,
with room only for one in her otherwise stony, frigid heart. To all the other God's that supposedly
exist, and likewise the people who worship them, Serenity has nothing but disdain, and if not for
her "Master", her "God" forbidding it, she would have wiped out all who waste their time worshiping
a figment of their imaginations instead of doing anything worthwhile in reality, begging for aid
and possessions instead of putting in the work to obtain it themselves like her "Master" does.
Donning the robes of a nun, an outfit meant for the worship of another, Serenity spits in the
face of the God they represent, and instead uses them to worship her "Master" instead, someone
truly worthy in her eyes of looking and playing the part of a devout believer. To her there is no
greater reason to exist than serving and pleasing him, and likewise to receive his "blessing" for
doing so, a "blessing" he fills her with time and again whenever he so chooses to ask for her
services.
Though she stares you down like a filthy insect, her task at hand of satisfying her "God"
remains her priority. You may watch while she is busy, but beware the end to your life that
is sure to follow once her duty is fulfilled for walking in at such an unlucky moment and
interrupting such an important responsibility. Some may consider this final sight one worth
dying for, but it will be your end nonetheless, and while her "Master" forbids her from killing...
Well... What one doesn't know, as they say. She can easily track you down with her psychic
abilities and deal with you on her own time, out of sight and out of mind of her "God" who is
left exhausted and oblivious due to his own satisfied bliss from her duty well performed.
Many a man in this world would give entire fortunes for a lover like Serenity. To be worshiped
as a God by her with such a physique, to have such a woman, with the power to destroy any
civilization single handed, drop to her knees and surrender that power to give the one she
dutifully obeys pleasure whenever asked. To have the respect, the passion, the total devotion
of such a woman in the palm of one's hand...
No man can deny the intoxication from just thinking about it, and it's also for this very reason
alone that all should be thankful the Guardian is her "Master" and "God", for hers is a hatred
that would spare no being should the one controlling her find himself with an itchy trigger finger
and grant a servant like Serenity his permission to have her way with the world, as naught but
ashes would remain...
This is a woman that wholeheartedly symbolizes beauty and wickedness alike. As you gaze
upon a body truly reserved for that of a God's personal relief, never forget the malice in her
eye, and what its sinister glow means for all, even for you. Her beauty may strike you, but,
it's the twisted, vengeful soul raging within, ready to reduce all to ash none should forget...
