Chapter 3: The truth

Two misterious people, a man and a woman stepped into the main scientist's lab. They both walked toward the professor.

"Tell me, doctor!" the woman ordered. "Do the turtles suspect anything?" The familiar voice surprised the scientist.

*Ack!* "Oh, Mistress! I'm sorry. I didn't know you arrived, already." he said, turning around. 

"Answer the question!" yelled the man.

"Y-yes! Luckyly, they don't remember anything from New York, the space and the other locations."

"So?"

"So they all will be fine and live in peace here."

"Very well, Mr. Chaplin! Very well!" said the woman.

"What about the rat?" the man asked.

The professor stared at them, thinking but his guests scary glances made him to talk: "Splinters mind was too strong to be managed.  The only solution I found to lock him into the strongest cell that is guarded by video cameras and the best men of yours." He turned around and went to his computer to show the records of splinter to his guests.

The woman and the man were watcing the videos for minutes but they left immediately, because the Mistress's cell phone had started ringing.

Another month later.

 Raph's POV 

'Nothing changed... He still needs help... I still don't know what to do... I don't want to hurt him again but... I-I must help him...' I was thinking while I was heading to the dojo. 'Wait! The solution is Don. He is smart enough. Maybe he can help me how to...how to..."save" Leo...my beloved Leo...'

After trainig I wanted to talk to Don however Leo's behaviour surprised all of us. He muttered something like "Bye" -or I don't know-, then he almost rushed out of the building...'Where can he aim for..?' I thought.

"Donatello," I called him but, as always, Mikey was with him... I don't mean I hate him just...It's...It would be a bit annoying to me if someone was always beside me...

"Hai?"

"I need your help with something. Could you..?" I asked.

But Mike interrupted me."In what? How can he help you?" He was so damn curious. It seemed like he doesn't like being uninitiated... 

"Uhm...Michelangelo...I'd like to talk to Donatello. So...can you...?"

"Can you wait for me outside?" Don interrupted me.

Mikey was a bit disappointed. I could see he didn't really want to, however he did as Donnie asked. "Please, don't..." He tried to speak before he had to get out.

"I know, Mikey. It won't take so long. I promise." Don said then the other turtle closed the door.

"Sorry sensei. He just...I promised him I'll go with him to the movie theatre after trainig...He's already bought the tickets and..." He said then took a short brake, thinking and staring at his feet. "Anyway, what can I help you?" He continued.

'Weird...but I think I had better not to ask anything about it,' I thought.

Unfortunatelly, something inconvenient came out of my mouth. "Are you goning to be on a date?" It surprised me and made me embarrased. His eyes widened and he flushed. "N-no! Of course not!"

I could see he was liing. "...Don't worry. I wont tell it anyone, trust me."

"Y-you knew...that we're...we're...you know...together?" He tried to speak. I'm sure his heart was racing really fast.

A minute later, he looked into my eyes: "Is that so obvious?" 

"Not really, but I'm a ninja master...and an advice: you two should spend less time together."

He rubed his nape. I realised a shy smile on his face. "Anyway, can we get down to the facts?" He asked.

"Yeah... You know Leo's acting a bit oddly, lately...and that's why I need your help. I mean help him get back to normal."

"Honestly, I know the bullies at the school teasing him a lot but he doesn't care about them...Actually, I can see there's something else too. He acts weird at home, as well...I tried to find out his problem. But I couldn't make him to talk or something... I can't do nothing else. I'm sorry..."

"Oh, okay..." I was disappointed.

'Damn, Leo! What's your fucking problem!?' I was thinking while I was starring the floor in disbelief.

"Sensei?" Don interrupted me. I jumped a bit.

"Yeah?"

"I'd...I'd like to...ask you to do something to him because he trusts you...I think you're the only one who he really trusts..." he said with worry and sorrow in his eyes.

"O-of course. I'll do that."

'Shit! I shouldn't have yelled at him...'

Don's POV

When I left the dojo Mikey jumped on me to hug me. Unfortunatelly, we both fell and he landed on me. He looked in my eyes. After some time, he started leaning closer and closer. Suddenly, he captured my lips with his. It surprised me but I closed my eyes too.

We were kissing for three seconds, I guess, when I realised where we were and pushed Mikey off then stood up. I can tell how disappointed was he. Luckyly, that time not much people walks on the streets so no one saw us.

"Come on! We'll be late!" I reached my hand to help him up, comforting him. He grabed my hand, smiling.

The next day.

Raph's POV

"I want to do something. Really. But what? I don't think he trusts me anymore...Poor boy...I feel like I know you but I don't. Maybe, before we got here we were mean to each other..." I talked, laying on my bed and hugging my pillow. "And who am I talking to?" I asked. 

"...I love you, Leo. I don't know why...But I love you. I love you so much...I can't tell nobody...It's not something they can accept easily...Especially not you...Fuck! I-I don't want to hu-hurt you, again..." *Sob* Tears sprang to my eyes. "And again who am I talking to..?" I asked tearfully.

...

Afternoon, I did a short lesson. After, the guys left I did too. Because I had decided to follow Leo, wherever he was about to go. Mysteriously he went separately from the others. However Donnie said the way to their home is on the left so I wondered why Leo went the right.

He was going straight the street then turned left and started running. I did the same on the roofs of the buildings.

He stopped at the outside of the city, close to the forest. Suddenly, he fell on his knees and started shaking and crying.

'Le-Leo..?' I freezed when I saw that poor, sad figure.

Half a minute larter he fell forward. It took me a minute to realise he had fainted. I didn't hesitate to run toward him and put him on my back. I brought him to my home.

At home I layed him on the couch. I wanted to make sure he didn't have something serious illness so I called Donnie, who is a damn big genious!

...

"So?" I asked.

"He will be fine if he rests enough...And he missed his breakfast and lunch today..." He said. I heaved a sigh of relief. Because I had thought it was something more serious.

"Thank you, Donatello. You are the best in these scientific things. Don't worry I'll give him some food," I interrupted him.

"No problem, sensei. But if you don't mind..."

"Of course not. You my leave," I interrupted him again. He bowed and left.

...

I sat down on the armchair beside the couch. I was watching him for a long time. He was so peaceful, calm and beautiful. Like he wasn't ill just sleeping. 'Awww, he is so cute,' I thought. I wanted to wrap my hands around him and hug him, tightly. But I didn't want to wake, scare or...hurt him again. He would have overacted if I had done something to him.

...

Time passed. It's almos midnight. I was sleeping for about an hour when I heard a groan. It scared me to wake up. The sound came again. I stood up, looking at him. He was shaking.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes and sat up. I jumped.

Leo's POV

I woke up in sensei's house. I didn't know how I got there.

"Se-sensei?"

"Don't worry you are in safe now..."

"Bu-but why am I here?"

"You had fainted on the streets and I thought..."

"Tha-thank you but I gotta go now."

"No, you should rest and eat something! Please this is for your own good. As your teacher and friend I ask you to wait till morning," he worried.

"...Fine..." I agread, finally.

I put my legs to the ground, covering my face with my hands. He sat beside me then put his hand on my shoulder.

"You okay?" He asked. I looked into his eyes.

"Why are you so kind to me, unlike everyone else?" I asked, dryly.

 His eyes widened. "Wha-what? Why are you talking like this?"

I covered my face again, crying. "...Because it's true..." I wishpered.

Raph's POV

I didn't know what came over. I wrapped my hands around him and huged him tightly, conforting him. He did the same then leaned his head on my shoulder. I felt his tears runnig down on my skin and his warm breath on my neck. Damn, that momoent was so romantic!

We were hugging for minutes when I realised what position we were in. Suddenly, I left my hold on him then stood up.

"I..Ah...Anyway, you should eat something. What would you like to eat?" I asked.

His eyes still were tearful however he stopped crying. "Fried eggs with toast aren't a big problem, are they?"

"Of course not. And is the orange juice good for drink?"

"Yeah," he answered and smile appeared on his face. I smiled back at him then rushed into the kitchen.

Leo's POV

'He is so kind,' I thuoght, smiling. 'I guess...I...I kinda...like him...Anyway, why is he so kind to me? I don't mean I mind it but it's a bit...I don't know...strange...'

Minutes later I could smell the sweet of food. It was so good. 'He is the first person who takes care of me. And I like it so much. But I owe him...But I don't know how to requite him for a service...' I was thinking when I realised something on the armchair. Something that wasn't there bifore. I got up and checked it out. A letter. For my surprise, the letter was entitled to me. I know I shouldn't have but I opened it.

Raph's POV

He was there. He was there in my house. And that made me happy because I could look after him and know if he had any problems. I could and wanted to protect him from everything what possible. However he has his own life. I can't force him to do something he doesn't want. I don't mean I want to but it's good to know he is in safe. And close to me.

I finished the food and started going into the living room. When I got there I saw someting horrible. My letter in his hands.

"Le-leo?" He turned his head to look at me. Tears were running down his cheeks. "I..."

"How dare you say that you love me when you want to leave me!?" He turned his whole body towards me.

"Please, let me explain." I begged.

"No! I thought you were different but no! You are the same as the others! You doesn't care about me... You who I trusted the most! You hurt me the worst."

"Leo..!" Before I could continue he had already ran away.
