Norithics came up with this idea of a future of neon lights and the expanding chasm between individuals having gotten so great that people don't really connect anymore. The solution was something called "Light Partners," hard-light construct companions for people to support them in their lives and to help them fulfill their needs and desires. Basically, the world's best roommates.
I wanted to make one, mostly because I like the neon hologram aesthetic. I created my own and here she is: Aurora Eleerum.
So I had to think, what would a Light Partner be for me? Like for the real me, because that's also kind of the point of the whole idea: fulfillment. What would my perfect companion through life be, exactly? Well the first thing you pull from is your ideals for a romantic partner, no matter how farfetched - so I'm given an intersex girl with mad curves for my gynophillic preferences. Square those looks away and give them a mellow personality with a dash of the teenage kuuderes I adore so much - make them more driven than I am and very convincing. Someone I'd want to go and try new things with. Someone comforting. Like a good spot on the couch.
The other part of Light Partners is they're kind of supposed to make you the best you that you can be. Being all amorous and horny on 'em is one thing, but they need to balance out your flaws. Aurora may appear to be a walking day planner to some, but I do basically need a boss to keep me in line or I'll start slacking the second you give me a chance. I also tend to favour doing nothing over doing anything, so a gentle application of force is typically necessary to get me going. So, while Aurora is chill and quiet, she isn't lazy and would make darn sure I'm involved in most things somehow.
And lastly, I have to be completely honest with myself: I need someone to take care of me a little. I'm a disabled person, I can't do a whole day's housework in a whole day, and god help me if I get sick real bad. So, yeah, she's a bit of a "big sister" like that. Plus, I could play all the co-op games I want - it wouldn't be as if all my friends moved away and I'm pretty much all alone.
I wrote a couple things with her to flesh out the idea a long time ago and Nori drew her up real quick. Say hello to the glowy eggplant, everyone. I figured I'd give other things room to breathe before I shared her.
