"writing": "Battle of the Bands\n\nAuthored by MilkJunkie \n\nA [iconname]KG5000[/iconname] commission\n\n\tMobius wasn’t such a strange planet. In fact, it was a lot like Earth in many ways. It had lush trees and blue skies, metropolitan cities and high mountain ranges. There was only one thing missing from the planet to make it perfect: Whyte Knuckle.\n\n\tAt least, that was what the band’s lead vocalist, Ricky Hamilton, had been claiming since he and the rest of Whyte Knuckle arrived on Mobius from beyond the stars. In a time of otherwise relative silence, Whyte Knuckle came seemingly out of nowhere, hitting the club scene one night and rocking the roof off of one of the nightclubs in Mobotropolis. Nobody expected to see anything quite like them and their brand of music was unique, to say nothing of their 80’s rock band bad-boy appearances in which they had things like microphones attached to knives, wore mostly black or white, and only one out of the four band members seemed to wear a shirt.\n\n\tThey continued along the Mobius circuit, hitting up clubs and live band performances until they became a major talking point of nearly every urban area. This didn’t really surprise them; Ricky least of all, since he seemed to display no real modesty. Many argued that this was rather characteristic of a snake, though Ricky would be quick to correct anyone saying so – because he was in fact a golden rattlesnake and rattlesnakes are inherently cooler than regular snakes. Somehow this attitude, combined with his slinky body, red eyes, and affinity for knives and really tight pants, attracted the eye of many women. He drank it in like crazy.\n\n\tHis band members were hardly any better. Maxxie Black, backing vocalist and bassist, and Ricky’s boyfriend, was a no less forward (and no less shirtless) black cat. He was often right with Ricky being as boisterous as possible. Rusty Hamilton, lead guitarist, was far sterner and far more blunt a fox than the rest, and believed strongly in his band’s success not just by its talent, but also by the work they put in. Geiger, the drummer… was actually more modest. He did very few interviews, and that suited most of the public just fine. For some reason, Mobians were a little nervous around a blue-skinned, humanoid cyborg… Geiger could never really figure out why that was.\n\n\tSufficed to say, Whyte Knuckle made quite a splash on Mobius, and that attracted the attention of many – including the renowned Freedom Fighters and even King Sonic. The Freedom Fighters sought the off-planet band out rather early in their career to determine just what their intentions were upon reaching Mobius. It wouldn’t have been the first time that some sort of intergalactic force threatened their world, so it was simply precaution that forced the Freedom Fighters into coming into contact with Whyte Knuckle. Ricky and his band insisted that they were on a galactic tour (which sounded a lot more like a glorified road trip through space), and that they really didn’t mean any harm. They just wanted everyone (and they emphasized everyone) to know how amazing their band was.\n\n\tThat was when the Freedom Fighters learned that Whyte Knuckle was a band composed mostly of egocentric jerks. That was also the time the most egocentric of them all, Ricky, met the lovely Melody Prower.\n\n\tMelody the Mongoose was a fascinating creature to Ricky, and it surprisingly had little to do with the food chain relationship of their two species. She was part of a family who had their history entwined with the Freedom Fighters of Mobius for quite some time, and Ricky could ask nearly any Mobian around about the Prower’s exploits and hear myriad tales of Tails and Mina, Melody’s parents. It seemed that Melody herself, and her kitsune brother Skye, were fresher faces in the freedom fighting movement. Even so, Melody had a reputation that preceded her, and one other thing that sparked Ricky’s interest: she was in a band called “The Dream Team.” This started an instant rivalry between Whyte Knuckle and Melody’s band, orchestrated entirely by Ricky – he did so love a competition.\n\n\tFast forward to a good, long couple of months since Whyte Knuckle’s landing, and the band had built up a following and they were enjoying themselves a fair bit on the planet full of animals. A battle of the bands was coming up to be held in the aptly named Furville, and Ricky was all too keen on entering. What he felt he had to do, however, was call up that lovely mongoose and see if she would also be tossing her metaphorical hat into the ring. So, while sitting in his messy room on his spaceship-made-tour bus, he rang her up on the ol’ communicator. It was a wonder he had her number in the first place… especially considering how she answered the call.\n\n\tHer lovely face appeared on the video screen, her expression so utterly grump. Even when she was made, though, she was quite a looker. She had a soft-looking face all covered in yellow fur with a fluffy white muzzle like her father’s, big, sky blue eyes and beautiful violet hair that she often wore back in a tight braid. She prettied herself up with violet eye shadow and silver earrings, but forewent anything too girly such as lipstick or blush. Oh she had the look of a rocker alright, and Ricky loved it. He’d compliment her a lot of the time, just to watch her get angry about it.\n\n\t“Hey, what do you want?” She asked.\n\n\tRicky made no effort to hide the fact that he was lounging shirtless on his bed. If anything, he tried to emphasize this fact by turning his communicator to reveal more of his bare, scaled chest. “I just thought I’d ring up my favourite second-best,” He said, his black tongue flicking out momentarily from between his lips. He had nothing but mirth in his red, slit eyes, but Melody seemed less than enthusiastic about his jabbing.\n\n\t“I’m doing just fine! And if that’s all you called for, then goodbye!” Melody jeered\n\n\t“Whoa now hold on a second there!” Ricky sprang up to try and stop her from simply hanging up on him, “I was also wondering if you were going to jump in with your Sisterhood of the Travelling Tramps at the Battle of the Bands next week in Furville.”\n\n\tMelody immediately glared, “Oh don’t tell me you and your freak show are going to be grunging up the place!”\n\n\t“Now I would ask you not to talk about Geiger like that, he’s a very sensitive freak show,” Ricky chuckled.\n\n\t“Ugh,” Melody rolled her eyes, “Well yes, we’re going to be there. And we’re going to win!”\n\n\t“Not if I’m there you’re not,” Ricky grinned, “I was considering giving it a pass, but I guess if you’re going I can’t pass up a chance to turn your Dream Team into ‘Trash Queens.’”\n\n\t“What?!” Melody got right up close to her screen to bark at the mouthy snake, “In your dreams, dirt-bag! You could never be better than us! Do you have any idea how much everyone loves my singing?!”\n\n\tRicky looked down at his free hand, lifting it into frame and opening it. “Oh, would you look at that,” He said, wiggling his fingers a little as he observed his empty palm, “It’s all the fucks I give.”\n\n\t“Gnh!” Melody gritted her teeth.\n\n\t“They’re just falling from the sky!” Ricky carried on.\n\n\t“Argh! Screw you! I’m going to kick you and your stupid, dirty band back to whatever dirt-ball planet you came from!” Melody huffed. The call was cut off after that. Ricky giggled at the reaction he managed to pull from the lovely mongoose, so much so that he flopped back on his bed and messed up the tasteless cheetah-print silken sheets by kicking his feet around.\n\n\tGeiger opened the door to Ricky’s room and poked his head in. “You say my name?” He asked.\n\n\tRicky stifled his laughter and looked to his band mate. “Nah,” He said, “But hey, get the others together. We’re gonna start practice a bit early tonight.”\n\n\t“Right on,” Geiger nodded before disappearing as quickly as he’d come.\n\n\tTeasing Melody was always quite fun. She was such a spunky girl, with plenty of attitude and sass that she reacted amazingly to every prod. The thing was that Ricky had heard her music, and she performed well with her band. Whether that was in spite of him or not, he was impressed, because he just loved music. 80’s rock was his particular forte, but Melody’s more modern pop music appealing to him no less. Her voice was great, the instrumentals were solid… he really did admire her! Unfortunately Ricky suffered from an almost crippling need to run his mouth. If he didn’t tease her, what would they even talk about?\n\n\tAlmost two weeks went by with religious practice. Whether Ricky was ‘just teasing’ or not, he didn’t intend to lose in a competition. He did believe that his band was one of the better ones, and if a bunch of judges on Mobius could justify that way of thinking, then all the power to them. It was a grand opportunity to hear from other bands as well, lesser-known, possibly up-and-comers that could have had a solid sound. It could have been something Ricky had never heard before, something that could inspire him a little in his own music. Battle of the Band competitions were a grab-bag of musical benefit… so long as people weren’t afraid of losing. To be honest, he wasn’t even sure how he’d take it if he actually did manage to lose… Like a sportsman, he hoped.\n\n\tFurville was a quaint place, very… rustic. But that little town with its villa-styled buildings and modest, blast from the past marketplace was going to be jumping with music-lovers that night as Mobians came from near and far to be part of the audience. A healthy number of bands sought to participate as well, with nine acts to take up the night and give people a variety of listening experiences. It was all set up to be a rather nice evening, with a clear, starry sky and cool, but not too cool temperatures and fair weather. When the Battle was all done, Ricky and his band had a mind to go enjoy the little town as best they could. It seemed like a place they could really relax in… even if Maxxie and Ricky had very little concept of what ‘relaxation’ was supposed to mean.\n\n\tThe one thing Ricky HAD to do, however, is go and find Melody. When his band got all settled in and were tuning their instruments, he quickly head off to explore the preparation area that was offered to them. It may as well have been a whole portable house, with soundproof rooms perfect for tuning and practicing without causing too much of a disturbance. It was a little ways away, of course, from the main event area where the residents of Furville had set up a big stage outdoors where the bands would perform, with some stellar amps, lights, and everything. It was a real snappy event; Ricky was impressed!\n\n\tIt didn’t take him long before he found Melody’s practice room and knocked on the door. The person who answered was her younger brother, Skye – a rather short kitsune with two tails just like his father. He was always such a meek kid, and he looked up at Ricky. “Huh? Oh, you’re… Oh,” He kind of frowned a little, “You’re that one Melody was talking about…”\n\n\tRicky cocked a brow and rested his hands on his hips. “Talking about me, is she? Only good things, I hope,” He said.\n\n\tSkye averted his gaze and shook his head whilst nervously biting his lip.\n\n\tRicky could barely let out a little laugh before the door was grabbed and throw open by none other than Melody herself. There she was in her usual teal shorts snug on her ass and the purple tube top with the black stripe running down the middle that left her shoulders and arms bare and squeezed her stellar breasts together enticingly. She pushed Skye aside with one teal-gloved hand as she barged into the conversation. “Skye, who are-- You!” She immediately glared at Ricky, “Did you come here to gloat?”\n\n\t“Who? Me? No, no! I wouldn’t dream of it!” Ricky put on a shit-eating grin and shrugged his shoulders, “Come on, love, you know me better than that.”\n\n\tMelody eyed Ricky. He just looked so slummish in nothing but a pair of black and white striped pants and some old D-ring belt; walking around without a shirt on as usual, his blonde hair somehow already looking wet. He was just so gross! “You’re right, I do, and that’s why I know you’re full of it,” She said, “My band and I are practicing right now, so if you could just get lost, that would be great.”\n\n\t“Hold on now,” Ricky raised his hands a little in mock surrender, “What makes you think you’re even going to win? I mean, how confident are you? Confident enough to, say, make a wager…?”\n\n\t“A wager? With you? Don’t waste my time!” Melody shot back, “Why would I need to even make a bet if you’ve got no chance?”\n\n\t“If you beat me and my mates, you’ll never hear from me again,” Ricky waved his hand in dismissal, “Not a word. No calls, no goading, no nothing.”\n\n\tMelody paused in the midst of slamming the door in Ricky’s smug face, stopping to think over such a sweet proposition. Never hear from Ricky again? If heaven was real, it’d sound a lot like that. The only reason she even stopped to consider the option, however, was that she knew she was good. Mobius already loved her and her band – she had a totally unfair advantage against anyone, let alone some off-world band that’d only been around for a few months. Her blue eyes fixated on him again in a cock-browed stare.\n\n\t“And if you lose, you spend the night with me,” He said, looking briefly at the younger Skye, “A little date, so we get to know each other better.”\n\n\tMelody visibly grimaced at the thought of spending any time with Ricky personally. Visions ran through her head of him making an ass of himself at dinner and during walks. She couldn’t stand him or the idea that she’d have to suffer through at least a few hours as his company… But, then again, she was Melody Prower! Freedom Fighter, lead vocalist of The Dream Team… Mina and Miles Prowers’ daughter! She had nothing to worry about because this slime ball was going down.\n\n\tSkye saw the look in his sister’s eyes and piped up, “M-Melody, don’t!”\n\n\t“You’re on,” She ignored her brother and snapped her gloved fingers, “And there’s no chance you’re going to win. Now get lost!”\n\n\t“Melody!” Skye squawked, just before she slammed the door in Ricky’s face.\n\n\t…\n\n\tActs came and acts went before a very enthusiastic crowd. Cheers roared to unsettle the normal silence of the sleepy town of Furville, to say nothing of booming bass and loud, screaming vocals. The Battle of the Bands went into full swing with the very first act, and the momentum carried on throughout the night. Melody’s act was the fifth one in, and when the announcer introduced The Dream Team, the crowd went wild. As always, they loved Melody; they loved her voice, her look, and everything she stood for. She was a friend of the people, and as much a figure-head as she was an artist.\n\n\tShe had this competition in the bag.\n\n\t“Hello everyone!” She said into the microphone to a cheering response, “Hope you’ve been having fun so far, and thanks for coming out!”\n\n\tThere were a few cheers and declarations of love for the violet-haired singer. She kind of grinned and turned her attention back towards her band – a feline acting as backing vocalist and guitarist, a rooster on drums, a pug on bass. They seemed ready to go, so with little deliberation she turned her gaze back over the crowd and clutched the microphone in both her hands. “Alright, you ready?” She called, “Let’s go!”\n\n\t“One, two, three, four!”\n\nAnywhere you wanna go.\nAnything you need to know.\nAll the best in life, I want to get it for you!\n\nBaby, I just feel so fine.\nI imagine that you're mine.\nYou're my world, you're gold.\nI only want to protect you.\n\nWhatever I want, I get!\nI want, shooting stars.\nWhatever I need, I have!\nWhen I'm with you.\n\nFollow me inside, outside, through the stratosphere.\nThe moon is shining for you, it knows that I adore you.\n\nSuddenly, all the sadness, will just slip away.\nAnd you will see what I mean, If you just follow me in my dreams!\n\nI was searching everywhere.\nSuddenly, I saw you there.\nAnd my love arrived, just in the nick of time.\n\nLife floats on a movie screen.\nYou're the star of my scene.\nLive on the edge of a Knife, larger than life!\n\nWhatever I want, I get!\nNo one could take your place.\nWhatever I need, I have!\nWhen I see your face!\n\nFollow me inside, outside, through the stratosphere.\nThe moon is shining for you, it knows that I adore you!\n\nSuddenly, all the sadness, will just slip away!\nAnd you will see what I mean, If you follow me in my dreams!\n\nDa da da da da da da da da da da da da\n\nFollow me inside, outside, through the stratosphere!\nThe moon is shining for you, it knows that I adore you!\n\nSuddenly, all the sadness, will just slip away!\nAnd you will see what I mean, If you follow me in my dreams!\n\n\tMelody’s band played rock music at an upbeat rhythm, but what really stole the show were the mongoose’s vocals. Every bit her mother’s daughter, her voice was soft, smooth, but powerful. The song itself spoke of her being in love, and it was almost easy for her to convince someone that she was indeed talking about them, though no one really knew if Melody had gotten into a serious relationship at any point. Whatever the case, the song ended to cheers and whistles, adoration aplenty for the band and for Melody in particular.\n\n\tThey took their bows and soaked in the admiration for a little while before making their way off the stage.\n\n\tRicky watched the whole performance from far away, leaning against the roof of a white limousine. He smiled a little to himself as he watched Melody step down from the stage and allow the stage-hands to start preparing for the next act as quickly as possible. His tongue flickered out from between his lips as he considered the performance he’d just seen… It was actually rather good. The style of music wasn’t vintage enough for his liking, but certainly not considered modern either. The Dream Team always seemed to have a liking for what sounded like cheery 90’s rock… But the one thing he noticed is that he’d heard that song before. It wasn’t a brand new song to be played for the crowd, but one they’d performed many times before.\n\n\tThen came a voice, “That the one you were worried about?” Ricky looked down next to him to see Maxxie’s yellow cat-eyes just peeking over the edge of the sun roof, his cat ears lifted curiously.\n\n\t“I was,” Ricky answered, “But the smug broad seems pretty keen on riding her popularity and just coasting to an easy win. I think we’ll have this tied up in a bow.”\n\n\tHe pounded his fist against the roof of the limo a couple of times, “You ready for our entrance Geiger?”\n\n\t“We’re up after the next one, so get your game faces on boy-o’s!” Ricky grinned, “We’ve got a competition to win.”\n\n\tFinally it came time for Whyte Knuckle to perform, and the announcer took to the stage. “Alright everyone, the next act comes to us from across the stars!” They said, “Give it up for Whyte Knuckle!”\n\n\tThe crowd cheered of course, as they would have for any act that took to the stage. But after a while of cheering and shouting, nothing seemed to happen. The band’s instruments were on the stage, but the band was nowhere to be seen. Time ticked on, and soon the cheers died down to murmurs of confusion. Where was the band? Was something going wrong? Just when people started to look at one another, the roar of a vehicle’s engine caught everyone’s attention, and they turned around.\n\n\tRolling right up behind the crowd was Whyte Knuckles old-fashioned white limousine. Geiger had just turned the headlights on when people looked, shining bright light in the eyes of several people who moved sluggishly out of the way. The limo slowly crept forwards, driving straight up towards the stage through the confused and somewhat mystified crowd. From the sunroof, Ricky climbed onto the roof of the limo, Maxxie and Rusty also revealing them from within the limo to regard the crowd. Ricky himself stood up on the top of the vehicle and waved, stylized bowie knife microphone in hand.\n\n\t“Sorry we’re late boys and girls!” He called, his voice sounding over the booming speakers at the stage by way of his mic, “But don’t you worry we’re going to take good care of yo-oah!”\n\n\tThe limo bumped into the stage and stopped, making Ricky stumble to the amusement of the once again cheering crowd. The rest of the band scrambled out of the limo to climb up onto the stage, with Ricky hopping on up as well and turning to regard the crowd. Whyte Knuckle gathered up their instruments, and Ricky only gave them a couple of seconds.\n\n\t“Let’s play a game, you lot,” He said, “A-one… a twoooo… a-three… and GO!”\n\n\tThe crowd started cheering so loud they almost didn’t hear Rusty’s starting guitar riff before they broke into full-blown song:\n\nDo… you… want… to… play!\n\nRing around the rosie\nHopscotch, Monopoly\nRed light, green light\nG. It didn’t have to make any sense or tell a story like modern music, and the crowd seemed to love it. It was a stupid excuse to jump around and be crazy; just the sort of thing that Whyte Knuckle lived for. The guitar solo before the final chorus was met with loud cheer and when the song ended, they only got louder. Many would say that they really nailed it – perfect pitch, not a note missed; everything was flawless.\n\n\tEven Melody, who was stifling her own desire to get swept up in the energy of the song, couldn’t help but mutter that she was… impressed. The song was… good. She liked it, even. Whether Ricky was a complete ass or not, she couldn’t keep herself from being a little excited – the results of this competition were going to be really interesting!\n\n\t…\n\n\t“… And the winner is Burning Sneakers!”\n\n\tThe results weren’t nearly as interesting as she thought. Ricky and Whyte Knuckle got second place while The Dream Team and Melody got third. Neither Ricky nor Melody could quite believe it when a nobody band that was probably amateur talent managed to beat their already solid bands… what were they to assume but leniency? Clearly they were judged more harshly for already being professionals…!\n\n\t“That’s a load of bull!” Melody shouted. Ricky stood next to her, ready to generously accept his second place prize with a grin on his face. Noticing his smug look, Melody turned on him. “Don’t you think this means you won our bet! You didn’t win either!” She said.\n\n\tTilting his head and giving a mock pout, Ricky hissed back, “I didn’t say if we won. I said ‘if you lost,’ and it doesn’t look like you won.”\n\n\t“What?! You can’t do that! That’s just… that’s a technicality!” Melody shouted at him, right in front of both her band mates and Ricky’s own.\n\n\t“You made the bet!” Ricky protested, “You can’t back out now that you’ve gone and lost it. What would people think if they heard you were like that?”\n\n\tMelody crossed her arms. “You can’t blackmail me like that!” She argued.\n\n\tIt wasn’t until Melody’s younger brother, Skye, interjected, albeit nervously. “You did make the bet…” He said in his sheepish tone.\n\n\t“Who’s side are you on?!” She barked at her brother, who immediately shrunk away. In her frustration, Melody raised her hands to rub her temples. She let out a great, big sigh, “Fine. Fine! We’ll go on your stupid date or whatever. Just for a few hours.”\n\n\t“Excellent! I’ll make the most of it then,” Ricky grinned, looking to his band, “Don’t wait up for me, boys.”\n\n\tMost people would have taken a girl around to see the sights of Furville, or taken them to have a nice meal or something. Ricky, however, wasn’t going to waste time with things as trivial as that. He only had a few hours to make an impression on Melody, and he planned on doing so in the one way he knew how: drinking. Everyone was friendlier with enough drinks in them; it was simply a universal truth. Melody was probably not going to loosen up any other way, so Ricky brought Melody to pick up some of that sweet ‘wobbly pop’ before taking her somewhere private. Taking her to a hotel room probably didn’t do his image any favours, but it was the only place he could think of to get some time really alone with her.\n\n\tShe wasn’t impressed, of course.\n\n\t“Ugh, just what are you planning? I can kick your butt you know,” Melody glared at Ricky from the room’s door.\n\n\tRicky sat down on the bed and bounced on it a few times before setting his beers aside. “I just want to talk, love,” He explained, “I rather think we got off on the wrong foot and maybe it’s about time we rectify that.”\n\n\t“You can ‘just talk’ to people without dragging them to some sleazy hotel,” Melody rebutted.\n\n\t“Aha, but look!” Ricky said, confusing the lovely mongoose for a moment as he snatched one of the beer cans from the plastic rings fastening them together and opening it, “We’re alone here. In private. There’s no appearances to keep up, no reputations to worry about. We can just talk without having to think about what it means for our image.”\n\n\tMelody kind of squinted at the rattlesnake as he shot her a little smile and a nod. Not quite sure what he was getting at, but very certain that he was right, she approached slowly to the bed and grabbed one can of beer for her as well. “Alright…” She spoke warily, “I guess that’s true… But what, are you implying that this whole thing is just an act?” She settled down on the bed as well, taking a moment to kick off the knee-high teal boots she’d been wearing all day. She seemed to relish in her legs’ exposure, wiggling her bare toes. Her legs were yellow-furred all the way down.\n\n\t“Well, no, I’m still a right proper ass either way,” Ricky smirked, “Buuuut… a little musical rivalry never hurt no one, you know? Keeps the fans talking on the internet. Doesn’t mean I don’t like you though, love. It’d be kinda silly to get on the bad side of a Freedom Fighter.”\n\n\t“I’m hardly a Freedom Fighter anymore,” Melody shrugged, “At least not until something bad happens again. But it’s been peaceful so long that people don’t really need me to do things like that, so I’ve just been focusing on my music.”\n\n\t“Bloody great music it is, too,” Ricky slurped his beer with a nod, “Not my style per-say but still bloody brilliant. I was a little surprised my band beat yours, to be honest. It wasn’t our best night.”\n\n\tMelody was a little surprised to hear him so casually admit that her music was good. Normally he referred to it as ‘banshee screeches.’ She once again eyed him with some suspicion as she sipped her own drink. “That was a bad night for you guys? The crowd ate it up,” She commented.\n\n\t“I think if it doesn’t end in me getting carried off the stage in a mosh pit, I could have stood to perform a bit better,” Ricky waved a wrist around dismissively, “You though, love, you had them screaming for you. You really are adored by lots of people, huh?”\n\n\t“I’m my parents’ daughter, yeah…” Melody smirked.\n\n\tTheir talking continued with more back-and-forth. They mostly spoke of their art, detailing the journey of their respective bands’ to get where they were and the particular hardships they had to endure as they got off the ground. The more Ricky spoke, the more Melody started to see him as less of a pompous jerk and more as a fellow musician – his trip to fame was hardly any different than her own, except she had the unfair advantage of being noticed due to her already-famous parents. Ricky, she learned, was much different. Where he came from, most snakes like him were of a sort who didn’t have human legs like he did, making him very strange. Such an outcast status may have excused a little of his strange mannerisms… But he sure didn’t know how to turn it off. Even while they spoke, Ricky was prone to throwing back-handed compliments at her.\n\n\tHe got more and more tolerable the more alcohol Melody got into her system. Maybe he wasn’t ever going to be someone she genuinely wanted to call her friend, but he was starting to seem like someone she could at least hold a conversation with.\n\n\tEventually the conversation turned to flirting, mostly perpetuated by Ricky. Melody was a downright gorgeous girl, and he couldn’t deny his attraction to her. His eyes lingered on her longer than they ought to, especially when she shifted positions to get more comfortable. Some of her subtle, casual movements would put more emphasis on the way her skirt hugged her rear, or how her shoulder-less top squeezed her chest. She had an air about her as she talked that was telling of her. She knew she was an attractive girl, and she responded with false modesty when Ricky told her so.\n\n\t“Look, I can prove it,” Ricky said. Before Melody could react, he shamelessly parted his legs and gestured to his crotch. His tight pants were no good at modesty, and so Melody spotted a very obvious erection nestled there. She immediately turned her head away and held up her hand to block her sight… but even then she couldn’t really keep from laughing.\n\n\t“What are you doing you dope?” She asked, “Knock it off!”\n\n\t“Look at how hot I think you are!” Ricky teased, trying to thrust his crotch up awkwardly.\n\n\t“Ugh, gross!” Melody shouted.\n\n\tShe turned and tried to get away, crawling towards the foot of the bed in a slightly intoxicated fish-flop. The girl wasn’t paying much attention to how that compromised her, with her skirt being short enough that Ricky could see her rear peeking out from beneath as she scrambled. The snake’s tongue flickered out briefly before he grabbed her by her legs to keep her still just long enough for him to grab hold of her skirt and yank it up from behind. This was unexpected, as far as she was concerned, and she froze for a second as she felt her exposure.\n\n\t“Especially this,” Ricky hissed, admiring how the yellow-furred cheeks of her rear seemed to bubble outwards from her body, perfectly rounded and snug in her modest white panties.\n\n\tMelody’s prior rage seemed to flare up all over again and she stuttered, “Hey! What’re you--?! Stop that!”\n\n\tRicky ignored her. Emboldened by his beer, he kept the weight of his chest snug against her legs, and his arms wrapped around them so she wouldn’t go anywhere. Lacking in any delicacy, he pushed his face down against her rear, much to her surprise. She squeaked in spite of herself as he seemed to… dig around. It felt weird because his hot breath tickled her fur and he seemed to be nipping at something, so his fangs would sometimes graze her butt. It wasn’t until he actually managed to snag her panties that she realized what he was going for, and she began to squirm around again. Her super speed sure wasn’t going to help her with her legs constricted!\n\n\t“Th… That feels weird, stop!” Melody chastised the snake. Ricky continued to ignore her by tugging her panties at least down far enough for her rear to be fully exposed.\n\n\tResting his chin on one of her butt cheeks, he grinned. “Nicccce~” He hissed, his tongue tickling her fur.\n\n\t“It’s just my butt, god!” She huffed, “Why are you such a creep?”\n\n\t“Well, I’m sorry,” Rick would then say before he scrambled to get up and settle astraddle her legs so that she would once again be stuck. He just couldn’t help himself – not around Melody, anyway… he undid his pants as quickly as he could to expose the fleshy rod that was his modestly-sized dick and the hanging nuts beneath. Melody seemed to stare at him for a moment, shocked beyond words, but blushing oh-so-terribly. She gave up in her fussing, and then just felt… uncomfortable. It was honestly confusing for her – was she anxious, or scared? Because she knew exactly what Ricky had on his mind; it was all but confirmed as he seemed to work on slickening up his shaft with his own saliva.\n\n\tThe rattlesnake didn’t waste much time in pressing his manhood between Melody’s buns to relish in the feel of the bouncy, but tight cheeks clenching around his meat. She had such a toned bottom, probably from all the running she no doubt did, to say nothing of whatever tasks she may have performed as a Freedom Fighter. It made sense that she was healthy, strong, and not nearly as slinky as he was… It was just one more thing to admire her for! He didn’t even realize how still she was being throughout the ordeal, but she sure didn’t seem to be fighting him much. So, he carried on, sliding his length between her ass cheeks and doing his damnedest to drool and make a mess of the whole thing so it slid all the better.\n\n\tAfter a substantial amount of time, Melody’s crack was spit-soaked and heated up, and she was squirming beneath him in obvious signs of arousal. Ricky smiled and said, “We’re going to share a moment, you and me. If I do something wrong, just tell me.” Melody’s response was silence – no yelling and no protests, just quiet, passive acceptance. And so, using one hand, Ricky angled his manhood to press against Melody’s tight hole, and he plunged his hips downwards slowly to penetrate that pucker promptly. He was gentle about it, as it seemed no amount of spittle was going to make things seamless – Melody clenched down on him hard as she let out little gasps.\n\n\tIt was better than Ricky could have ever dreamed – and oh, he’d dreamed more than once about being able to pork that mongoose’s fine rear end. Every gentle push got him a bit deeper, until he was snug inside enough to start swinging his hips and pumping into her, making her moan in response. She was obviously uncomfortable, no matter how hard Ricky tried to go easy on her… but he tirelessly did his best to make his plunge into her rear as painless as possible. It was so gradual that it took what felt like minutes before he was finally all the way inside. Her inner muscles seemed to flutter and squeeze around him, all while she gasped for little breaths and trembled beneath him. She didn’t hate the whole experience, however, as Ricky could smell her arousal.\n\n\tHolding her down by her shoulders, Ricky started his thrusting. Gently fucking Melody’s ass, he seemed to cuddle up against her back and continue to take things slowly. This allowed for Melody to relax herself and adjust for the invasion of her insides, to make it that much easier for Ricky to pump and thrust inside. After a little while, he went faster, trying to push his hips hard enough so that her bubbly rear end would bounce with every thrust. It felt exquisite, and very different from experiences he’d had before, including with his boyfriend, Maxxie! Melody was a whole different beast, with an ass that had a whole different feel to it – like comparing silk to cotton. What was best, however, was that every pull from inside her was met with a squeezing from her ass the likes of which could only be described as trying to suck him back inside; something he was all too willing to do for her, pushing in balls deep time and again.\n\n\tHer breaths were becoming more and more labored and ragged as time went on. Melody had gripped the bed’s sheets and surrendered herself to the sensation of a man inside her rear. Her more proper sex was drooling from all the stimulation she felt, tinged with a pain that she couldn’t say was… bad, per-say, but… different. It felt good in some strange way that she just couldn’t quite wrap her head around. For Ricky, it felt exactly the way it should have, except better. Some asses were loose, some were warmer than others, but Melody’s seemed to be ball-draining in its perfection. He couldn’t have been pumping his hips down against her for more than just a couple minutes and he already began to feel his climax building.\n\n\t“I’m gonna cum…” He hissed into her ear, just so that she was aware of what was to come.\n\n\tMelody’s front teeth dug into her bottom lip, her eyes shut tight and her body seemed to squeeze all around as everything came to a point. Then, before she really knew what was going on, she could feel Ricky’s shaft deep inside her begin to unload. It was immediate warmth that pumped into her body seemingly the wrong way. It built up an odd pressure in her gut, and applied more and more of it as he seemed to gush and quirt inside of her far more than he had any right to. His moans were an odd sound… some sort of helpless, pleasured sound that sounded rather sweet given his accent. But most distracting was the sheer amount of it. He just kept pumping more and more into her body, and before long she started to realize that it was literally filling her up!\n\n\tShe wasn’t sure when it was supposed to stop. How long did men normally cum for? How long had she been there taking his load? Time was a blurred concept as her tummy rounded out a little from being stuffed too much from the wrong hole. Ricky’s body had shuddered and trembled all throughout a lengthy orgasm that left Melody with a slightly domed stomach, thus ruining her otherwise very trim and curvy figure. But it had come as such a shock to her that she was so busy gasping for air and dealing with her own gentle squirting of girl-cum from her soaked and swollen pussy that she couldn’t really be mad about it.\n\n\tJust like that, it was over. The snake had bested the mongoose, for perhaps the only time either of them would ever be able to remember. They parted from one another and rested on the bed in panting, somewhat sweaty heaps… and then Ricky forced himself off the bed. He stuffed his messy junk back into his pants and stepped back to observe the scene. Melody looked darling lying there like that, but immediately he began to think that perhaps doing something like that wasn’t the best idea. Sure, Melody hadn’t said stop more than… well, more than twice… in fact, she seemingly gave into it, and enjoyed it no less than he! But… it was so forward. Perhaps his best option at that point was just to leave. He didn’t want to be there when Melody had a mind to question him about the act.\n\n\tFor him, it was no different than telling a girl he liked that he liked her when he was fifteen. He was just an adult instead, and instead of admitting his feelings for someone, he’d acted on his lusts. It was enough to make him nervous, and if he had any hope to recover, he had to leave. He wouldn’t go back to his ship right away, lest he have to face his band mates before he could calm himself into some sort of lie regarding what he and Melody got up to.\n\n\tHe would have left her a note if he could. Ah, well, it wasn’t going to be the last time they ever spoke to each other… it was just going to be reeeeal awkward when it next happened.\n\n",

In fact, it was a lot like Earth in many ways. It had lush trees and blue skies, metropolitan cities and high mountain ranges. There was only one thing missing from the planet to make it perfect: Whyte Knuckle.<br /><br />\tAt least, that was what the band&rsquo;s lead vocalist, Ricky Hamilton, had been claiming since he and the rest of Whyte Knuckle arrived on Mobius from beyond the stars. In a time of otherwise relative silence, Whyte Knuckle came seemingly out of nowhere, hitting the club scene one night and rocking the roof off of one of the nightclubs in Mobotropolis. Nobody expected to see anything quite like them and their brand of music was unique, to say nothing of their 80&rsquo;s rock band bad-boy appearances in which they had things like microphones attached to knives, wore mostly black or white, and only one out of the four band members seemed to wear a shirt.<br /><br />\tThey continued along the Mobius circuit, hitting up clubs and live band performances until they became a major talking point of nearly every urban area. This didn&rsquo;t really surprise them; Ricky least of all, since he seemed to display no real modesty. Many argued that this was rather characteristic of a snake, though Ricky would be quick to correct anyone saying so &ndash; because he was in fact a golden rattlesnake and rattlesnakes are inherently cooler than regular snakes. Somehow this attitude, combined with his slinky body, red eyes, and affinity for knives and really tight pants, attracted the eye of many women. He drank it in like crazy.<br /><br />\tHis band members were hardly any better. Maxxie Black, backing vocalist and bassist, and Ricky&rsquo;s boyfriend, was a no less forward (and no less shirtless) black cat. He was often right with Ricky being as boisterous as possible. Rusty Hamilton, lead guitarist, was far sterner and far more blunt a fox than the rest, and believed strongly in his band&rsquo;s success not just by its talent, but also by the work they put in. Geiger, the drummer&hellip; was actually more modest. He did very few interviews, and that suited most of the public just fine. For some reason, Mobians were a little nervous around a blue-skinned, humanoid cyborg&hellip; Geiger could never really figure out why that was.<br /><br />\tSufficed to say, Whyte Knuckle made quite a splash on Mobius, and that attracted the attention of many &ndash; including the renowned Freedom Fighters and even King Sonic. The Freedom Fighters sought the off-planet band out rather early in their career to determine just what their intentions were upon reaching Mobius. It wouldn&rsquo;t have been the first time that some sort of intergalactic force threatened their world, so it was simply precaution that forced the Freedom Fighters into coming into contact with Whyte Knuckle. Ricky and his band insisted that they were on a galactic tour (which sounded a lot more like a glorified road trip through space), and that they really didn&rsquo;t mean any harm. They just wanted everyone (and they emphasized everyone) to know how amazing their band was.<br /><br />\tThat was when the Freedom Fighters learned that Whyte Knuckle was a band composed mostly of egocentric jerks. That was also the time the most egocentric of them all, Ricky, met the lovely Melody Prower.<br /><br />\tMelody the Mongoose was a fascinating creature to Ricky, and it surprisingly had little to do with the food chain relationship of their two species. She was part of a family who had their history entwined with the Freedom Fighters of Mobius for quite some time, and Ricky could ask nearly any Mobian around about the Prower&rsquo;s exploits and hear myriad tales of Tails and Mina, Melody&rsquo;s parents. It seemed that Melody herself, and her kitsune brother Skye, were fresher faces in the freedom fighting movement. Even so, Melody had a reputation that preceded her, and one other thing that sparked Ricky&rsquo;s interest: she was in a band called &ldquo; The Dream Team.&rdquo; This started an instant rivalry between Whyte Knuckle and Melody&rsquo;s band, orchestrated entirely by Ricky &ndash; he did so love a competition.<br /><br />\tFast forward to a good, long couple of months since Whyte Knuckle&rsquo;s landing, and the band had built up a following and they were enjoying themselves a fair bit on the planet full of animals. A battle of the bands was coming up to be held in the aptly named Furville, and Ricky was all too keen on entering. What he felt he had to do, however, was call up that lovely mongoose and see if she would also be tossing her metaphorical hat into the ring.&nbsp;&nbsp; So, while sitting in his messy room on his spaceship-made-tour bus, he rang her up on the ol&rsquo; communicator. It was a wonder he had her number in the first place&hellip; especially considering how she answered the call.<br /><br />\tHer lovely face appeared on the video screen, her expression so utterly grump. Even when she was made, though, she was quite a looker. She had a soft-looking face all covered in yellow fur with a fluffy white muzzle like her father&rsquo;s, big, sky blue eyes and beautiful violet hair that she often wore back in a tight braid. She prettied herself up with violet eye shadow and silver earrings, but forewent anything too girly such as lipstick or blush. Oh she had the look of a rocker alright, and Ricky loved it. He&rsquo;d compliment her a lot of the time, just to watch her get angry about it.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Hey, what do you want?&rdquo; She asked.<br /><br />\tRicky made no effort to hide the fact that he was lounging shirtless on his bed. If anything, he tried to emphasize this fact by turning his communicator to reveal more of his bare, scaled chest. &ldquo;I just thought I&rsquo;d ring up my favourite second-best,&rdquo; He said, his black tongue flicking out momentarily from between his lips. He had nothing but mirth in his red, slit eyes, but Melody seemed less than enthusiastic about his jabbing.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;I&rsquo;m doing just fine! And if that&rsquo;s all you called for, then goodbye!&rdquo; Melody jeered<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Whoa now hold on a second there!&rdquo; Ricky sprang up to try and stop her from simply hanging up on him, &ldquo;I was also wondering if you were going to jump in with your Sisterhood of the Travelling Tramps at the Battle of the Bands next week in Furville.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMelody immediately glared, &ldquo;Oh don&rsquo;t tell me you and your freak show are going to be grunging up the place!&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Now I would ask you not to talk about Geiger like that, he&rsquo;s a very sensitive freak show,&rdquo; Ricky chuckled.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Ugh,&rdquo; Melody rolled her eyes, &ldquo;Well yes, we&rsquo;re going to be there. And we&rsquo;re going to win!&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Not if I&rsquo;m there you&rsquo;re not,&rdquo; Ricky grinned, &ldquo;I was considering giving it a pass, but I guess if you&rsquo;re going I can&rsquo;t pass up a chance to turn your Dream Team into &lsquo;Trash Queens.&rsquo;&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;What?!&rdquo; Melody got right up close to her screen to bark at the mouthy snake, &ldquo; In your dreams, dirt-bag! You could never be better than us! Do you have any idea how much <em>everyone</em> <strong>loves</strong> my singing?!&rdquo;<br /><br />\tRicky looked down at his free hand, lifting it into frame and opening it. &ldquo;Oh, would you look at that,&rdquo; He said, wiggling his fingers a little as he observed his empty palm, &ldquo; It&rsquo;s all the fucks I give.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Gnh!&rdquo; Melody gritted her teeth.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;They&rsquo;re just falling from the sky!&rdquo; Ricky carried on.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Argh! Screw you! I&rsquo;m going to kick you and your stupid, dirty band back to whatever dirt-ball planet you came from!&rdquo; Melody huffed. The call was cut off after that. Ricky giggled at the reaction he managed to pull from the lovely mongoose, so much so that he flopped back on his bed and messed up the tasteless cheetah-print silken sheets by kicking his feet around.<br /><br />\tGeiger opened the door to Ricky&rsquo;s room and poked his head in. &ldquo; You say my name?&rdquo; He asked.<br /><br />\tRicky stifled his laughter and looked to his band mate. &ldquo;Nah,&rdquo; He said, &ldquo; But hey, get the others together. We&rsquo;re gonna start practice a bit early tonight.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Right on,&rdquo; Geiger nodded before disappearing as quickly as he&rsquo;d come.<br /><br />\tTeasing Melody was always quite fun. She was such a spunky girl, with plenty of attitude and sass that she reacted amazingly to every prod. The thing was that Ricky had heard her music, and she performed well with her band. Whether that was in spite of him or not, he was impressed, because he just loved music. 80&rsquo;s rock was his particular forte, but Melody&rsquo;s more modern pop music appealing to him no less. Her voice was great, the instrumentals were solid&hellip; he really did admire her! Unfortunately Ricky suffered from an almost crippling need to run his mouth. If he didn&rsquo;t tease her, what would they even talk about?<br /><br />\tAlmost two weeks went by with religious practice. Whether Ricky was &lsquo;just teasing&rsquo; or not, he didn&rsquo;t intend to lose in a competition. Battle of the Band competitions were a grab-bag of musical benefit&hellip; so long as people weren&rsquo;t afraid of losing. To be honest, he wasn&rsquo;t even sure how he&rsquo;d take it if he actually did manage to lose&hellip; Like a sportsman, he hoped.<br /><br />\tFurville was a quaint place, very&hellip; rustic. It seemed like a place they could really relax in&hellip; even if Maxxie and Ricky had very little concept of what &lsquo;relaxation&rsquo; was supposed to mean.<br /><br />\tThe one thing Ricky HAD to do, however, is go and find Melody. It was a real snappy event; Ricky was impressed!<br /><br />\tIt didn&rsquo;t take him long before he found Melody&rsquo;s practice room and knocked on the door. The person who answered was her younger brother, Skye &ndash; a rather short kitsune with two tails just like his father. He was always such a meek kid, and he looked up at Ricky. &ldquo;Huh? Oh, you&rsquo;re&hellip; Oh,&rdquo; He kind of frowned a little, &ldquo; You&rsquo;re that one Melody was talking about&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />\tRicky cocked a brow and rested his hands on his hips. &ldquo;Talking about me, is she? Only good things, I hope,&rdquo; He said.<br /><br />\tSkye averted his gaze and shook his head whilst nervously biting his lip.<br /><br />\tRicky could barely let out a little laugh before the door was grabbed and throw open by none other than Melody herself. There she was in her usual teal shorts snug on her ass and the purple tube top with the black stripe running down the middle that left her shoulders and arms bare and squeezed her stellar breasts together enticingly. She pushed Skye aside with one teal-gloved hand as she barged into the conversation. &ldquo;Skye, who are-- You!&rdquo; She immediately glared at Ricky, &ldquo;Did you come here to gloat?&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Who? Me? No, no! I wouldn&rsquo;t dream of it!&rdquo; Ricky put on a shit-eating grin and shrugged his shoulders, &ldquo;Come on, love, you know me better than that.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMelody eyed Ricky. He just looked so slummish in nothing but a pair of black and white striped pants and some old D-ring belt; walking around without a shirt on as usual, his blonde hair somehow already looking wet. He was just so gross! &ldquo; You&rsquo;re right, I do, and that&rsquo;s why I know you&rsquo;re full of it,&rdquo; She said, &ldquo; My band and I are practicing right now, so if you could just get lost, that would be great.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Hold on now,&rdquo; Ricky raised his hands a little in mock surrender, &ldquo; What makes you think you&rsquo;re even going to win? I mean, how confident are you? Confident enough to, say, make a wager&hellip;?&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;A wager? With you? Don&rsquo;t waste my time!&rdquo; Melody shot back, &ldquo; Why would I need to even make a bet if you&rsquo;ve got no chance?&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;If you beat me and my mates, you&rsquo;ll never hear from me again,&rdquo; Ricky waved his hand in dismissal, &ldquo; Not a word. No calls, no goading, no nothing.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMelody paused in the midst of slamming the door in Ricky&rsquo;s smug face, stopping to think over such a sweet proposition. Never hear from Ricky again? If heaven was real, it&rsquo;d sound a lot like that. The only reason she even stopped to consider the option, however, was that she knew she was good. Mobius already loved her and her band &ndash; she had a totally unfair advantage against anyone, let alone some off-world band that&rsquo;d only been around for a few months. Her blue eyes fixated on him again in a cock-browed stare.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;And if you lose, you spend the night with me,&rdquo; He said, looking briefly at the younger Skye, &ldquo;A little date, so we get to know each other better.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMelody visibly grimaced at the thought of spending any time with Ricky personally. Visions ran through her head of him making an ass of himself at dinner and during walks. She couldn&rsquo;t stand him or the idea that she&rsquo;d have to suffer through at least a few hours as his company&hellip; But, then again, she was Melody Prower! Freedom Fighter, lead vocalist of The Dream Team&hellip; Mina and Miles Prowers&rsquo; daughter! She had nothing to worry about because this slime ball was going down.<br /><br />\tSkye saw the look in his sister&rsquo;s eyes and piped up, &ldquo;M-Melody, don&rsquo;t!&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;You&rsquo;re on,&rdquo; She ignored her brother and snapped her gloved fingers, &ldquo; And there&rsquo;s no chance you&rsquo;re going to win. Now get lost!&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Melody!&rdquo; Skye squawked, just before she slammed the door in Ricky&rsquo;s face.<br /><br />\t&hellip;<br /><br />\tActs came and acts went before a very enthusiastic crowd. Cheers roared to unsettle the normal silence of the sleepy town of Furville, to say nothing of booming bass and loud, screaming vocals. The Battle of the Bands went into full swing with the very first act, and the momentum carried on throughout the night. Melody&rsquo;s act was the fifth one in, and when the announcer introduced The Dream Team, the crowd went wild. As always, they loved Melody; they loved her voice, her look, and everything she stood for. She was a friend of the people, and as much a figure-head as she was an artist.<br /><br />\tShe had this competition in the bag.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Hello everyone!&rdquo; She said into the microphone to a cheering response, &ldquo;Hope you&rsquo;ve been having fun so far, and thanks for coming out!&rdquo;<br /><br />\tThere were a few cheers and declarations of love for the violet-haired singer. She kind of grinned and turned her attention back towards her band &ndash; a feline acting as backing vocalist and guitarist, a rooster on drums, a pug on bass. They seemed ready to go, so with little deliberation she turned her gaze back over the crowd and clutched the microphone in both her hands. &ldquo;Alright, you ready?&rdquo; She called, &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s go!&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;One, two, three, four!&rdquo;<br /><br /><em><div class='align_center'>Anywhere you wanna go.<br />Anything you need to know.<br />All the best in life, I want to get it for you!<br /><br />Baby, I just feel so fine.<br />I imagine that you&#039;re mine.<br />You&#039;re my world, you&#039;re gold.<br />I only want to protect you.<br /><br />Whatever I want, I get!<br />I want, shooting stars.<br />Whatever I need, I have!<br />When I&#039;m with you.<br /><br />Follow me inside, outside, through the stratosphere.<br />The moon is shining for you, it knows that I adore you.<br /><br />Suddenly, all the sadness, will just slip away.<br />And you will see what I mean, If you just follow me in my dreams!<br /><br />I was searching everywhere.<br />Suddenly, I saw you there.<br />And my love arrived, just in the nick of time.<br /><br />Life floats on a movie screen.<br />You&#039;re the star of my scene.<br />Live on the edge of a Knife, larger than life!<br /><br />Whatever I want, I get!<br />No one could take your place.<br />Whatever I need, I have!<br />When I see your face!<br /><br />Follow me inside, outside, through the stratosphere.<br />The moon is shining for you, it knows that I adore you!<br /><br />Suddenly, all the sadness, will just slip away!<br />And you will see what I mean, If you follow me in my dreams!<br /><br />Da da da da da da da da da da da da da<br /><br />Follow me inside, outside, through the stratosphere!<br />The moon is shining for you, it knows that I adore you!<br /><br />Suddenly, all the sadness, will just slip away!<br />And you will see what I mean, If you follow me in my dreams!</div></em><br /><br />\tMelody&rsquo;s band played rock music at an upbeat rhythm, but what really stole the show were the mongoose&rsquo;s vocals. Every bit her mother&rsquo;s daughter, her voice was soft, smooth, but powerful. The song itself spoke of her being in love, and it was almost easy for her to convince someone that she was indeed talking about them, though no one really knew if Melody had gotten into a serious relationship at any point. Whatever the case, the song ended to cheers and whistles, adoration aplenty for the band and for Melody in particular.<br /><br />\tThey took their bows and soaked in the admiration for a little while before making their way off the stage.<br /><br />\tRicky watched the whole performance from far away, leaning against the roof of a white limousine. He smiled a little to himself as he watched Melody step down from the stage and allow the stage-hands to start preparing for the next act as quickly as possible. His tongue flickered out from between his lips as he considered the performance he&rsquo;d just seen&hellip; It was actually rather good. The style of music wasn&rsquo;t vintage enough for his liking, but certainly not considered modern either. The Dream Team always seemed to have a liking for what sounded like cheery 90&rsquo;s rock&hellip; But the one thing he noticed is that he&rsquo;d heard that song before. It wasn&rsquo;t a brand new song to be played for the crowd, but one they&rsquo;d performed many times before.<br /><br />\tThen came a voice, &ldquo; That the one you were worried about?&rdquo; Ricky looked down next to him to see Maxxie&rsquo;s yellow cat-eyes just peeking over the edge of the sun roof, his cat ears lifted curiously.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;I was,&rdquo; Ricky answered, &ldquo; But the smug broad seems pretty keen on riding her popularity and just coasting to an easy win. I think we&rsquo;ll have this tied up in a bow.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tHe pounded his fist against the roof of the limo a couple of times, &ldquo; You ready for our entrance Geiger?&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;We&rsquo;re up after the next one, so get your game faces on boy-o&rsquo;s!&rdquo; Ricky grinned, &ldquo; We&rsquo;ve got a competition to win.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tFinally it came time for Whyte Knuckle to perform, and the announcer took to the stage. &ldquo;Alright everyone, the next act comes to us from across the stars!&rdquo; They said, &ldquo;Give it up for Whyte Knuckle!&rdquo;<br /><br />\tThe crowd cheered of course, as they would have for any act that took to the stage. But after a while of cheering and shouting, nothing seemed to happen. The band&rsquo;s instruments were on the stage, but the band was nowhere to be seen. Time ticked on, and soon the cheers died down to murmurs of confusion. Where was the band? Was something going wrong? Just when people started to look at one another, the roar of a vehicle&rsquo;s engine caught everyone&rsquo;s attention, and they turned around.<br /><br />\tRolling right up behind the crowd was Whyte Knuckles old-fashioned white limousine. Ricky himself stood up on the top of the vehicle and waved, stylized bowie knife microphone in hand.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Sorry we&rsquo;re late boys and girls!&rdquo; He called, his voice sounding over the booming speakers at the stage by way of his mic, &ldquo; But don&rsquo;t you worry we&rsquo;re going to take good care of yo-oah!&rdquo;<br /><br />\tThe limo bumped into the stage and stopped, making Ricky stumble to the amusement of the once again cheering crowd. The rest of the band scrambled out of the limo to climb up onto the stage, with Ricky hopping on up as well and turning to regard the crowd. Whyte Knuckle gathered up their instruments, and Ricky only gave them a couple of seconds.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Let&rsquo;s play a game, you lot,&rdquo; He said, &ldquo;A-one&hellip; a twoooo&hellip; a-three&hellip; and GO!&rdquo;<br /><br />\tThe crowd started cheering so loud they almost didn&rsquo;t hear Rusty&rsquo;s starting guitar riff before they broke into full-blown song:<br /><br /><em><div class='align_center'>Do&hellip; you&hellip; want&hellip; to&hellip; play!<br /><br />Ring around the rosie<br />Hopscotch, Monopoly<br />Red light, green light<br />G. It didn&rsquo;t have to make any sense or tell a story like modern music, and the crowd seemed to love it. It was a stupid excuse to jump around and be crazy; just the sort of thing that Whyte Knuckle lived for. The guitar solo before the final chorus was met with loud cheer and when the song ended, they only got louder. Many would say that they really nailed it &ndash; perfect pitch, not a note missed; everything was flawless.<br /><br />\tEven Melody, who was stifling her own desire to get swept up in the energy of the song, couldn&rsquo;t help but mutter that she was&hellip; impressed. The song was&hellip; good. She liked it, even. Whether Ricky was a complete ass or not, she couldn&rsquo;t keep herself from being a little excited &ndash; the results of this competition were going to be really interesting!<br /><br />\t&hellip;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;&hellip; And the winner is Burning Sneakers!&rdquo;<br /><br />\tThe results weren&rsquo;t nearly as interesting as she thought. Ricky and Whyte Knuckle got second place while The Dream Team and Melody got third. Neither Ricky nor Melody could quite believe it when a nobody band that was probably amateur talent managed to beat their already solid bands&hellip; what were they to assume but leniency? Clearly they were judged more harshly for already being professionals&hellip;!<br /><br />\t&ldquo;That&rsquo;s a load of bull!&rdquo; Melody shouted. Ricky stood next to her, ready to generously accept his second place prize with a grin on his face. Noticing his smug look, Melody turned on him. &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t you think this means you won our bet! You didn&rsquo;t win either!&rdquo; She said.<br /><br />\tTilting his head and giving a mock pout, Ricky hissed back, &ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t say if we won. I said &lsquo;if you lost,&rsquo; and it doesn&rsquo;t look like you won.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;What?! You can&rsquo;t do that! That&rsquo;s just&hellip; that&rsquo;s a technicality!&rdquo; Melody shouted at him, right in front of both her band mates and Ricky&rsquo;s own.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;You made the bet!&rdquo; Ricky protested, &ldquo; You can&rsquo;t back out now that you&rsquo;ve gone and lost it. What would people think if they heard you were like that?&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMelody crossed her arms. &ldquo; You can&rsquo;t blackmail me like that!&rdquo; She argued.<br /><br />\tIt wasn&rsquo;t until Melody&rsquo;s younger brother, Skye, interjected, albeit nervously. &ldquo; You did make the bet&hellip;&rdquo; He said in his sheepish tone.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Who&rsquo;s side are you on?!&rdquo; She barked at her brother, who immediately shrunk away. In her frustration, Melody raised her hands to rub her temples. She let out a great, big sigh, &ldquo;Fine. Fine! We&rsquo;ll go on your stupid date or whatever. Just for a few hours.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Excellent! I&rsquo;ll make the most of it then,&rdquo; Ricky grinned, looking to his band, &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t wait up for me, boys.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMost people would have taken a girl around to see the sights of Furville, or taken them to have a nice meal or something. Ricky, however, wasn&rsquo;t going to waste time with things as trivial as that. He only had a few hours to make an impression on Melody, and he planned on doing so in the one way he knew how: drinking. Everyone was friendlier with enough drinks in them; it was simply a universal truth. Melody was probably not going to loosen up any other way, so Ricky brought Melody to pick up some of that sweet &lsquo;wobbly pop&rsquo; before taking her somewhere private. Taking her to a hotel room probably didn&rsquo;t do his image any favours, but it was the only place he could think of to get some time really alone with her.<br /><br />\tShe wasn&rsquo;t impressed, of course.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Ugh, just what are you planning? I can kick your butt you know,&rdquo; Melody glared at Ricky from the room&rsquo;s door.<br /><br />\tRicky sat down on the bed and bounced on it a few times before setting his beers aside. &ldquo;I just want to talk, love,&rdquo; He explained, &ldquo;I rather think we got off on the wrong foot and maybe it&rsquo;s about time we rectify that.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;You can &lsquo;just talk&rsquo; to people without dragging them to some sleazy hotel,&rdquo; Melody rebutted.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Aha, but look!&rdquo; Ricky said, confusing the lovely mongoose for a moment as he snatched one of the beer cans from the plastic rings fastening them together and opening it, &ldquo; We&rsquo;re alone here. In private. There&rsquo;s no appearances to keep up, no reputations to worry about. We can just talk without having to think about what it means for our image.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMelody kind of squinted at the rattlesnake as he shot her a little smile and a nod. Not quite sure what he was getting at, but very certain that he was right, she approached slowly to the bed and grabbed one can of beer for her as well. &ldquo;Alright&hellip;&rdquo; She spoke warily, &ldquo;I guess that&rsquo;s true&hellip; But what, are you implying that this whole thing is just an act?&rdquo; She settled down on the bed as well, taking a moment to kick off the knee-high teal boots she&rsquo;d been wearing all day. She seemed to relish in her legs&rsquo; exposure, wiggling her bare toes. Her legs were yellow-furred all the way down.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Well, no, I&rsquo;m still a right proper ass either way,&rdquo; Ricky smirked, &ldquo;Buuuut&hellip; a little musical rivalry never hurt no one, you know? Keeps the fans talking on the internet. Doesn&rsquo;t mean I don&rsquo;t like you though, love. It&rsquo;d be kinda silly to get on the bad side of a Freedom Fighter.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;I&rsquo;m hardly a Freedom Fighter anymore,&rdquo; Melody shrugged, &ldquo; At least not until something bad happens again. But it&rsquo;s been peaceful so long that people don&rsquo;t really need me to do things like that, so I&rsquo;ve just been focusing on my music.&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Bloody great music it is, too,&rdquo; Ricky slurped his beer with a nod, &ldquo; Not my style per-say but still bloody brilliant. I was a little surprised my band beat yours, to be honest. It wasn&rsquo;t our best night.&rdquo;<br /><br />\tMelody was a little surprised to hear him so casually admit that her music was good. Normally he referred to it as &lsquo;banshee screeches.&rsquo; She once again eyed him with some suspicion as she sipped her own drink. &ldquo; That was a bad night for you guys? The crowd ate it up,&rdquo; She commented.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;I think if it doesn&rsquo;t end in me getting carried off the stage in a mosh pit, I could have stood to perform a bit better,&rdquo; Ricky waved a wrist around dismissively, &ldquo; You though, love, you had them screaming for you. You really are adored by lots of people, huh?&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;I&rsquo;m my parents&rsquo; daughter, yeah&hellip;&rdquo; Melody smirked.<br /><br />\tTheir talking continued with more back-and-forth. They mostly spoke of their art, detailing the journey of their respective bands&rsquo; to get where they were and the particular hardships they had to endure as they got off the ground. The more Ricky spoke, the more Melody started to see him as less of a pompous jerk and more as a fellow musician &ndash; his trip to fame was hardly any different than her own, except she had the unfair advantage of being noticed due to her already-famous parents. Ricky, she learned, was much different. Where he came from, most snakes like him were of a sort who didn&rsquo;t have human legs like he did, making him very strange. Such an outcast status may have excused a little of his strange mannerisms&hellip; But he sure didn&rsquo;t know how to turn it off. Even while they spoke, Ricky was prone to throwing back-handed compliments at her.<br /><br />\tHe got more and more tolerable the more alcohol Melody got into her system. Maybe he wasn&rsquo;t ever going to be someone she genuinely wanted to call her friend, but he was starting to seem like someone she could at least hold a conversation with.<br /><br />\tEventually the conversation turned to flirting, mostly perpetuated by Ricky. Melody was a downright gorgeous girl, and he couldn&rsquo;t deny his attraction to her. She knew she was an attractive girl, and she responded with false modesty when Ricky told her so.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Look, I can prove it,&rdquo; Ricky said. Before Melody could react, he shamelessly parted his legs and gestured to his crotch. His tight pants were no good at modesty, and so Melody spotted a very obvious erection nestled there. She immediately turned her head away and held up her hand to block her sight&hellip; but even then she couldn&rsquo;t really keep from laughing.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;What are you doing you dope?&rdquo; She asked, &ldquo;Knock it off!&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Look at how hot I think you are!&rdquo; Ricky teased, trying to thrust his crotch up awkwardly.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Ugh, gross!&rdquo; Melody shouted.<br /><br />\tShe turned and tried to get away, crawling towards the foot of the bed in a slightly intoxicated fish-flop. The girl wasn&rsquo;t paying much attention to how that compromised her, with her skirt being short enough that Ricky could see her rear peeking out from beneath as she scrambled. The snake&rsquo;s tongue flickered out briefly before he grabbed her by her legs to keep her still just long enough for him to grab hold of her skirt and yank it up from behind. This was unexpected, as far as she was concerned, and she froze for a second as she felt her exposure.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Especially this,&rdquo; Ricky hissed, admiring how the yellow-furred cheeks of her rear seemed to bubble outwards from her body, perfectly rounded and snug in her modest white panties.<br /><br />\tMelody&rsquo;s prior rage seemed to flare up all over again and she stuttered, &ldquo;Hey! What&rsquo;re you--?! Stop that!&rdquo;<br /><br />\tRicky ignored her. Emboldened by his beer, he kept the weight of his chest snug against her legs, and his arms wrapped around them so she wouldn&rsquo;t go anywhere. Lacking in any delicacy, he pushed his face down against her rear, much to her surprise. She squeaked in spite of herself as he seemed to&hellip; dig around. It felt weird because his hot breath tickled her fur and he seemed to be nipping at something, so his fangs would sometimes graze her butt. It wasn&rsquo;t until he actually managed to snag her panties that she realized what he was going for, and she began to squirm around again. Her super speed sure wasn&rsquo;t going to help her with her legs constricted!<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Th&hellip; That feels weird, stop!&rdquo; Melody chastised the snake. Ricky continued to ignore her by tugging her panties at least down far enough for her rear to be fully exposed.<br /><br />\tResting his chin on one of her butt cheeks, he grinned. &ldquo;Nicccce~&rdquo; He hissed, his tongue tickling her fur.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;It&rsquo;s just my butt, god!&rdquo; She huffed, &ldquo; Why are you such a creep?&rdquo;<br /><br />\t&ldquo;Well, I&rsquo;m sorry,&rdquo; Rick would then say before he scrambled to get up and settle astraddle her legs so that she would once again be stuck. He just couldn&rsquo;t help himself &ndash; not around Melody, anyway&hellip; he undid his pants as quickly as he could to expose the fleshy rod that was his modestly-sized dick and the hanging nuts beneath. Melody seemed to stare at him for a moment, shocked beyond words, but blushing oh-so-terribly. She gave up in her fussing, and then just felt&hellip; uncomfortable. It was honestly confusing for her &ndash; was she anxious, or scared? Because she knew exactly what Ricky had on his mind; it was all but confirmed as he seemed to work on slickening up his shaft with his own saliva.<br /><br />\tThe rattlesnake didn&rsquo;t waste much time in pressing his manhood between Melody&rsquo;s buns to relish in the feel of the bouncy, but tight cheeks clenching around his meat. She had such a toned bottom, probably from all the running she no doubt did, to say nothing of whatever tasks she may have performed as a Freedom Fighter. It made sense that she was healthy, strong, and not nearly as slinky as he was&hellip; It was just one more thing to admire her for! He didn&rsquo;t even realize how still she was being throughout the ordeal, but she sure didn&rsquo;t seem to be fighting him much. So, he carried on, sliding his length between her ass cheeks and doing his damnedest to drool and make a mess of the whole thing so it slid all the better.<br /><br />\tAfter a substantial amount of time, Melody&rsquo;s crack was spit-soaked and heated up, and she was squirming beneath him in obvious signs of arousal. Ricky smiled and said, &ldquo; We&rsquo;re going to share a moment, you and me. If I do something wrong, just tell me.&rdquo; Melody&rsquo;s response was silence &ndash; no yelling and no protests, just quiet, passive acceptance. And so, using one hand, Ricky angled his manhood to press against Melody&rsquo;s tight hole, and he plunged his hips downwards slowly to penetrate that pucker promptly. He was gentle about it, as it seemed no amount of spittle was going to make things seamless &ndash; Melody clenched down on him hard as she let out little gasps.<br /><br />\tIt was better than Ricky could have ever dreamed &ndash; and oh, he&rsquo;d dreamed more than once about being able to pork that mongoose&rsquo;s fine rear end.&nbsp;&nbsp;Every gentle push got him a bit deeper, until he was snug inside enough to start swinging his hips and pumping into her, making her moan in response. She was obviously uncomfortable, no matter how hard Ricky tried to go easy on her&hellip; but he tirelessly did his best to make his plunge into her rear as painless as possible. It was so gradual that it took what felt like minutes before he was finally all the way inside. Her inner muscles seemed to flutter and squeeze around him, all while she gasped for little breaths and trembled beneath him. She didn&rsquo;t hate the whole experience, however, as Ricky could smell her arousal.<br /><br />\tHolding her down by her shoulders, Ricky started his thrusting. Gently fucking Melody&rsquo;s ass, he seemed to cuddle up against her back and continue to take things slowly. This allowed for Melody to relax herself and adjust for the invasion of her insides, to make it that much easier for Ricky to pump and thrust inside. After a little while, he went faster, trying to push his hips hard enough so that her bubbly rear end would bounce with every thrust. It felt exquisite, and very different from experiences he&rsquo;d had before, including with his boyfriend, Maxxie! Melody was a whole different beast, with an ass that had a whole different feel to it &ndash; like comparing silk to cotton. What was best, however, was that every pull from inside her was met with a squeezing from her ass the likes of which could only be described as trying to suck him back inside; something he was all too willing to do for her, pushing in balls deep time and again.<br /><br />\tHer breaths were becoming more and more labored and ragged as time went on. Melody had gripped the bed&rsquo;s sheets and surrendered herself to the sensation of a man inside her rear. Her more proper sex was drooling from all the stimulation she felt, tinged with a pain that she couldn&rsquo;t say was&hellip; bad, per-say, but&hellip; different. It felt good in some strange way that she just couldn&rsquo;t quite wrap her head around. For Ricky, it felt exactly the way it should have, except better. Some asses were loose, some were warmer than others, but Melody&rsquo;s seemed to be ball-draining in its perfection. He couldn&rsquo;t have been pumping his hips down against her for more than just a couple minutes and he already began to feel his climax building.<br /><br />\t&ldquo;I&rsquo;m gonna cum&hellip;&rdquo; He hissed into her ear, just so that she was aware of what was to come.<br /><br />\tMelody&rsquo;s front teeth dug into her bottom lip, her eyes shut tight and her body seemed to squeeze all around as everything came to a point. Then, before she really knew what was going on, she could feel Ricky&rsquo;s shaft deep inside her begin to unload. It was immediate warmth that pumped into her body seemingly the wrong way. It built up an odd pressure in her gut, and applied more and more of it as he seemed to gush and quirt inside of her far more than he had any right to. His moans were an odd sound&hellip; some sort of helpless, pleasured sound that sounded rather sweet given his accent. But most distracting was the sheer amount of it. He just kept pumping more and more into her body, and before long she started to realize that it was literally filling her up!<br /><br />\tShe wasn&rsquo;t sure when it was supposed to stop. How long did men normally cum for? How long had she been there taking his load? Time was a blurred concept as her tummy rounded out a little from being stuffed too much from the wrong hole. Ricky&rsquo;s body had shuddered and trembled all throughout a lengthy orgasm that left Melody with a slightly domed stomach, thus ruining her otherwise very trim and curvy figure. But it had come as such a shock to her that she was so busy gasping for air and dealing with her own gentle squirting of girl-cum from her soaked and swollen pussy that she couldn&rsquo;t really be mad about it.<br /><br />\tJust like that, it was over. The snake had bested the mongoose, for perhaps the only time either of them would ever be able to remember. They parted from one another and rested on the bed in panting, somewhat sweaty heaps&hellip; and then Ricky forced himself off the bed. He stuffed his messy junk back into his pants and stepped back to observe the scene. Melody looked darling lying there like that, but immediately he began to think that perhaps doing something like that wasn&rsquo;t the best idea. Sure, Melody hadn&rsquo;t said stop more than&hellip; well, more than twice&hellip; in fact, she seemingly gave into it, and enjoyed it no less than he! But&hellip; it was so forward. Perhaps his best option at that point was just to leave. He didn&rsquo;t want to be there when Melody had a mind to question him about the act.<br /><br />\tFor him, it was no different than telling a girl he liked that he liked her when he was fifteen. He was just an adult instead, and instead of admitting his feelings for someone, he&rsquo;d acted on his lusts. It was enough to make him nervous, and if he had any hope to recover, he had to leave. He wouldn&rsquo;t go back to his ship right away, lest he have to face his band mates before he could calm himself into some sort of lie regarding what he and Melody got up to.<br /><br />\tHe would have left her a note if he could. Ah, well, it wasn&rsquo;t going to be the last time they ever spoke to each other&hellip; it was just going to be reeeeal awkward when it next happened.<br /><br /></span>",
