It was important to know where the edge was at all times, even when out of sight, to keep from cutting oneself. Every move needed to be precise and purposeful. The blade in his hand wasn't like the broadswords of old, but it was still well-designed, fit properly for his stature. The open field in the back of the shop's store was an excellent place to test his skills. It had been centuries since he felt the reassuring weight of leather and steel in his hands, but it felt like shaking the hand of an old friend. He started slow with his moves, testing the weight of the sword. Left. Right. Up. Down. Shoulder to hip. Spin. Muscle memory was starting to come back, adapting to the new weapon. Just like warming up before an exercise, he could feel himself getting looser and more limber, allowing his-- "Aren't you a little OLD for that kind of stuff, grandpa?" The nerve!! Caliburn turned on his heel to glare at the callous youth who dared address him as such. If it weren't for Sonic watching from his spot on one of the benches, he would have gone over to discipline the teenager. He was barely old enough to be a squire! But still, the boy continued, looking like one of the spoiled noble children he'd dealt with in his circle. "You really shouldn't be trying to handle swords like that at your age, dude. You might drop it and cut your foot off!" The boy's statements could be seen as concern, but all it did was piss the wolf off. He was not some frail old man! Granted, not many men lasted longer than he had in his time, due to the lack of medicines the modern world offered, but his body was still primed for battle. While his appearance resembled more of a barefoot lumberjack, he was still a knight through and through. Growling, he made to speak, only to notice Sonic shaking his head subtly. Caliburn huffed before looking the male in the eye. "You'd be wise to hold your tongue until you've seen what I'm capable of," the golden wolf remarked. If he couldn't shut the brat's mouth up, he'd instead prove him wrong. Plus the act would no doubt give Sonic a good show and lead to some... interesting fun later. He set the sword down carefully before he let the plaid jacket slide off his shoulders to fall to the ground. The cloth was kicked away, and he tugged at the bottom of his shirt. "I'm just warming up, boy." It took a moment to remove the skin-tight article, but soon it was cast off of his body to land in his blushing lover's hands. The tightness of his shirt did show a bit of his abdominal muscles, but now the wolf's full musculature was on display. "Do I look like a knave to you?" he challenged the now dumbstruck child, taking his sword back in hand. He'd worked hard to get where he was as a Knight of Light, and wasn't about to deal with this modern fool doubting him. After a terse moment of silence, he smirked. "Now, allow me to show you the skill of a true knight."\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t | \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
