Meet Amanda. Amanda is a cute little android squirrel, and probably another argument against my ever making up characters even for a joke. I just end up getting attached. I don't really have a good place to put her yet, but I might be using her in art with some of my other unattached characters as well as an alternate-reality version of Megan, who built her. Regardless, I hope you guys like her!

Appearance:
Amanda is synthetic squirrel with cinnamon colored fur, brown eyes and long black hair. Outwardly, she entirely resembles a flesh-and-blood anthropomorphic female squirrel. Her interior mechanisms are classified.
Personality:
She is friendly, intelligent and inquisitive. She is courteous to strangers and acquaintances, unless they give her a reason not to be, and she can be downright affectionate with those she considers her friends.
History:
Amanda was activated on 10-6-2--- by her creator in one of the many synthetics labs belonging to [Redacted]. Amanda was originally meant to work for [Redacted] but was deemed unsuitable owing to what the company saw as personality problems. Besides undue curiosity about her own creation and the process involved in constructing synthetics, she showed a keen interest in activities deemed unfit for her mission profile, including the subject of intense interpersonal affection. The order was given for her destruction, but her creator stole her away in the dead of night instead. The two of them are now technically fugitives, but because they haven't caused any further trouble for the company they have been allowed to operate unmolested by company security or law enforcement.

Defense capabilities:
She prefers to avoid combat if at all possible and will typically withdraw at the first sign of trouble. If pressed, she is capable of fending off foes with blows from her hands and feet. The fact that she is some two or three times as strong as a flesh and blood squirrel her size makes this very effective. In extreme situations she is capable of administering a lethal surge of electricity along one of her arms. This comes at a cost of burning out the mechanisms in her arm and extensive repairs or replacement of the arm.
Amanda is non-violent and will always choose diplomacy, or retreat, over combat if given the option. She is willing and able to come to the defense of her friends and colleagues, however, and willing to put her own existence in peril to do so.

Notes:
Amanda has been built to mimic organic life as closely as possible, on the basis that this usually puts people more at ease around her. She can mimic many biological functions including eating, breathing, and a degree of interpersonal connection such that she is capable of forming genuine friendships with people. Respiration is purely aesthetic and she can function in areas that would be harmful or lethal to organic lifeforms, including the vacuum of space and while immersed in toxic gases. She cannot actually taste food and drink but she finds the textures of many of them to be interesting. Strong alcohol has the curious effect of shorting out some of her systems for a brief period, unintentionally mimicking the effects of intoxication.
Intricate tactile sensors are able to mimic both pleasure and pain, and she particularly enjoys having her tail brushed.
She is very close to, and protective of her creator, viewing Megan as a sort of maternal figure. Officially, Megan liberated her on activation and refuses to claim ownership status on her. This makes Amanda legally a rogue synthetic, but since she sticks close to Megan and is loyal to her, no action has been taken.
She enjoys music and often has some playing through her internal speakers while working on a project. The only downside to this is that she enjoys singing along and, owing to a slight maladjustment somewhere in her auditory processors, she cannot carry a tune. This does not dissuade her from trying.
