He sat up and looked round, seeing the blanket in a heap in the floor he instantly realised where his mate had disappeared to. He went upstairs and just like he thought, he found Sonic in the bathroom, this time sitting on the edge of the tub as he tried to brush his teeth - the smell of vomit and the fatigued looked was back.\n\nScourge sighed heavily as he opened the door further. “I know you've been throwing up Sonic..”\n\nSonic blinked before lowering his gaze to the bathroom floor.\n\nRemoving his toothbrush from his mouth, he wiped the foam from his lips and mumbled. \"....I thought I was getting better...\"\n\n“You can't keep trying to hide it from me love.” Scourge said as he sat next to his poor Uke on the side of the tub. “If this doesn't lift up, we'll go to the doctors...”\n\n\"No!\" Sonic said, moving away from; him looking scared. \"Please don't take me there. You know I don't like the doctors, Scourge.”\n\n“I know you don't like the doctors love, but you need to go! You don't know if something really serious is wrong with you. And I don't want to loose you...” Scourge mumbled, looking really sad when he said the last part.\n\nSonic remained silent, looking up at Scourge sadly.\n\n“If something happened to you I don't know what I'd do with myself love...” Scourge mumbled.\n\nSonic whimpered, feeling guilty, he rested his head on Scourge's chest as he began to cry. Scourge instantly wrapped his arms round the other and held him close, letting him cry out as much as he needed.\n\n\"I'm sorry.\" he whimpered.\n\n“It's alright Sonikku.” Scourge whispered as he rubbed the other's back.\n\nThe smaller male continued to cry, sniffle, and whimper as he was being held while the older male whispered sweet nothings into his ear. Sonic was able to calm down a few minutes later, Scourge continueing to hold him, giving him the support he needed. Sonic sighed once he was fully calm, purring quietly as he nuzzled Scourge's shoulder.\n\n\"Thank you, love...\" he murmured.\n\n“No problem.” Scourge replied.\n\n\"Scourge?\" He then asked quietly.\n\n\"Yeah Sonic?\" Scourge questioned.\n\n\"...I'm hungry.\" he pouted cutely.\n\n\"What do you want?\" Scourge asked, wiping a few stray tears from the other's cheek.\n\n\"Pancakes with bananas and chocolate.\" the uke said.\n\nScourge raised a brow, asking. \"Are you sure that's such a good idea love? You've just been sick after all...\"\n\n\"I dunno.\" he shrugged. \"I just have a taste for it...\"\n\n\"I'm not wanting to take any chances so I'm going to make some toast for you instead.\" Scourge said as he stood.\n\nSonic watched him go, looking sad and highly upset. When the blue male got downstairs he could smell toast coming from the kitchen. He didn't know what was wrong with him, but the simple fact that Scourge hadn't made what he'd wanted to eat highly upset the uke.\n\nHe sniffled and rubbed tears from his eyes.\n\nScourge's ears perked to sniffling. He looked up and saw Sonic standing at the door, wiping tears from his eyes. Sonic saw Scourge staring at him and looked away, tears easily falling now.\n\n\"Sonic, what's wrong?\" Scourge asked as he made his way over to the other.\n\nSonic whimpered and suddenly burst into tears, crying his heart out.\n\n\"You don't love me anymore!!!\" He cried.\n\nScourge's eyes widened. Those words hurt Scourge like red hot knives to the heart. He didn't even know he'd done anything wrong!\n\n\"Sonic?\" He breathed.\n\nThe uke cried harder, blubbering. \"All I wanted was pancakes, but you gave me... Me... TOOAASSSTTT!!!!\"\n\nHis eyes seemed to shoot out water like a water fountain.\n\n\"Sonic, you've got to understand, I'm trying to look after you!\" Scourge protested.\n\n\"Why are you yelling at me?!\" He wailed, running into the living room where he cried on he couch.\n\n\"Sonic! Please listen to me!\" Scourge called after his mate.\n\nThe little uke simply curled up more on the couch, saying. \"Go away!\"\n\nScourge blinked, highly confused. \"What have I done wrong Sonikku?\"\n\n\"You yelled at me.\" he whined, sniffling as he lay on the couch with his back turned to his mate.\n\n\"I would never yell at you Sonikku.\" Scourge said as he walked over to his crying Uke.\n\nSonic simply lay there, letting Scourge gently move him till he had his head in his lap and he was stroking the smaller male's quills. Sonic purred, nuzzling his leg.\n\n\"I'm sorry.\" he mumbled.\n\n\"It's fine Sonikku.\" Scourge said as he continued to stroke the smaller male.\n\nSonic sniffled, now feeling guilty, and buried his face in Scourge's stomach - just wanting to disappear.\n\n\"Don't cry love.\" Scourge said s he petted Sonic's head. \"I don't like to see you cry...\"\n\n\"But I blamed you for nothing.\" he murmured. \"I'm the worst boyfriend ever...\"\n\n\"No you're not.\" Scourge protested.\n\nSonic simply remained quiet and let Scourge pet him.\n\nScourge sighed, at least he had calmed down now. The Uke then slowly got up and made his way back to the kitchen. He put two pieces of bread in the toaster and waited. Guess he was having toast after all... Scourge got up and went to the kitchen, watching his Uke as he waited for the toast to pop up out of the toaster. The toast popped up, nice and toasted, and Sonic grabbed a plate and placed them on it.\n\nSince he doubted Scourge would let him put anything on it (no matter how bad he wanted bananas and chocolate), he simply ate the plain, bland toast as it was...\n\nScourge smiled a little, at least Sonic was listening to him.\n\nSonic looked up at Scourge from finishing the bland toast and asked. \"Can I have some juice?\"\n\nAll that toast had him thirsty.\n\nScourge sighed. “Can't you have water please Sonikku? Just till we figure out what's wrong with you?”\n\nSonic's ears drooped and he pouted as he dropped his gaze to the floor.\n\n\"Okay...\" he murmured.\n\n“Thank you Sonikku.” the emerald male smiled softly as he went into the kitchen to get a glass of water.\n\nSonic quietly watched him leave, hating that he couldn't have what he wanted all because of some stupid stomach bug...\n\nLife was so unfair...\n\n“Here Sonikku.” Scourge said as he handed the glass to his mate.\n\n\"Thanks.\" he said, accepting the cup and slowly downing the water.\n\n“No problem.” green said as he sat next to Sonic.\n\nOnce done with his water, Sonic sighed and curled up at Scourge's side.\n\n\"I'm bored.\" he mumbled.\n\n“Is there anything you wanna do?” Scourge asked curiously as he stroked Sonic.\n\nSonic shrugged a shoulder. \"I dunno. I just wanna get out of the house. What we do doesn't matter to me...\"\n\nScourge smiled in thought. “How about we go to the beach since we didn't go the other day?”\n\nSonic's ears perked up at that. \"The beach?\"\n\nReceiving a nod, Sonic smiled, his tail wagging. \"Okay!\"\n\nScourge chuckled as his love's response. “Alright, let's go put a picnic together to eat at the beach.”\n\nSonic hopped up and made his way over to a nearby closet. He rambled around inside before finding what he was looking for.\n\n\"Found it.\" he smiled, pulling out a picnic basket they always used when going to the beach.\n\nScourge stood up form the couch and made his way into the kitchen, calling out to his mate. “Come help me pack it love.”\n\n\"Coming.\" Sonic said, now happily following behind him.\n\n“How are you feeling Sonikku?” Scourge asked, looking through the fridge at all the food.\n\nIf Sonic was feeling alright, then he could have what he wanted.\n\n\"I feel great.\" Sonic smiled, tail wagging. He hadn't felt this great since before he'd gotten sick.\n\n“You're not pretending are you?” Scourge asked playfully, just double checking.\n\n\"No.\" Sonic frowned with a cute pout.\n\n“Alright then.” green said as he backed away from the fridge a little. “Choose what you want.”\n\nSonic smiled and went to the fridge. He placed the following items on the kitchen table: pineapples, chocolate, chips, bananas, pickles, strawberries and double chocolate chip cookies. Scourge could only smile as he watched his Uke go from the fridge to the table and back again, seems he wasn't pretending after all. Scourge then placed some cartons of orange juice onto the table as well as a couple of cans of Bloody Mary (Red Bull) before he put some ice lollies into a freezer box and put that onto the table. Sonic curiously watched him as he now sat at the table - nomming on a chocolate covered strawberry and a slice of cheese.\n\n“Right, basket please love.” Scourge said as he held his hand out for the basket. Sonic took a bite out of a pickle and handed over the basket.\n\n“Cheers babe.” emerald said as he started putting everything on the table into the picnic table.\n\nSonic giggled and said. \"Cheers.\"\n\nScourge could only smile as he finished packing the picnic basket with all the food off the table. \"Finished. Is there anything else you want love?\"\n\n\"I need to change clothes.\" Sonic said before quickly heading up to their shared bedroom.\n\nScourge blinked as he realized the same thing, racing upstairs he saw his love rummaging round the wardrobe for a change of clothes. Sonic soon found a pair of Bermuda shorts, a comfy T-shirt, some sandals, and a pair of shades. And he smiled when he found a deflated beach ball. Scourge smirked as he got out a muscle top and a pair of trunks. Sonic quickly changed his clothes, letting out a surprised yelp when Scourge had playfully smacked him on the rear when he'd bent over to put on his shorts.\n\nHe glared back at his smug looking mate as he blushed dark red.\n\n\"Cheer up sexy, I'm only playing with you.\" Scourge teased as he switched his beloved flame covered jacket for the white muscle top.\n\nSonic simply blushed some more and stuck his tongue out at him.\n\n\"You sure you want to do that again babe?\" Scourge asked, referring to when they were on the couch yesterday.\n\nSonic quickly put his tongue back in his mouth and resumed putting on his clothes, blushing even darker making his seme chuckle once again. Soon both males were ready to go. They both headed downstairs and while Sonic ran into the kitchen to get the picnic basket, Scourge was contemplating how to get there; the quick way or the slow way.\n\n\"Ready.\" Sonic smiled, holding the basket as he came up beside his mate.\n\n\"How do you wanna get there?\" Scourge asked as he smirked. \"Piggyback or walk?\"\n\nSonic thought about it, going over to the front door to look outside.\n\n\"It's pretty outside today.\" he said with a smile. \"I'd like to enjoy the view so walking would be fine.\"\n\n\"Alright.\" Scourge smiled, heading out into the open air.\n\nSonic smiled and happily followed, locking the door to their home as they did so.\n\n\"The basket isn't too heavy is it love?\" Green asked.\n\n\"It's fine.\" his little Blue smiled.\n\n\"If you're sure.\" green said as he held his love's hand.\n\n\"I'm sure.” Sonic smiled, his hand in his mate's as they started to walk.\n\nSonic absolutely loved the neighbourhood they lived in. They lived in a fenced off suburban neighbourhood with other people like them. In other words, they lived in a neighbourhood with other neighbours in same-sex relationships. They waved at their neighbours Amy and Rouge as they passed, the two women outside washing their car. Sonic whipped his head around when Amy suddenly gave a loud shriek.\n\nBoth males looked to see her now soaking wet and glaring at her wife, Rouge smirking since she liked the way Amy's wet white mini dress showed everything she had on underneath.\n\nScourge burst out laughing at Amy's situation, the look of lust on Rouge's face as she looked up and down her soaking wet wife was enough to make anyone who was in lust mode look normal. ''A guy can't get pregnant, love, that's just impossi- - wait.''\n\n''He is a guy, isn't he?\" He raised a brow.\n\n“Mephiles is definitely a guy love.” Scourge chuckled.\n\n''Then... How could he be pregnant?\" Sonic asked, scratching his head in confusion. They'd both stopped walking completely by now.\n\n“When Shadow went to the hospital, the Doctor told him that there are people called Hermaphrodites that are male on the outside and female on the inside.” Scourge explained, holding back a cheeky smile as he saw the frown on his love''s face deepen in confusion.\n\n\"So..... He quietly let Scourge take the basket from him.\n\n“Hop on.” the green male said as he motioned to his back.\n\nSonic carefully climbed on, wrapping his arms gently around his mate's neck. Once his blue blur was safely one, Scourge started running towards the beach at a steady pace. Sonic rested his head on Scourge's shoulder blade, closing his eyes as the other ran. Green smiled, and concentrated on his running, ears perking when he heard his love purr softly. Sonic smiled against his shoulder. He loved being carried like this. Scourge's eyes widened. Those words hurt Scourge like red hot knives to the heart. He didn't even know he'd done anything wrong!

"Sonic?" He breathed.

The uke cried harder, blubbering. "All I wanted was pancakes, but you gave me... Me... TOOAASSSTTT!!!!"

His eyes seemed to shoot out water like a water fountain.

"Sonic, you've got to understand, I'm trying to look after you!" Scourge protested.

"Why are you yelling at me?!" He wailed, running into the living room where he cried on he couch.

"Sonic! Please listen to me!" Scourge called after his mate.

The little uke simply curled up more on the couch, saying. "Go away!"

Scourge blinked, highly confused. "What have I done wrong Sonikku?"

"You yelled at me." he whined, sniffling as he lay on the couch with his back turned to his mate.

"I would never yell at you Sonikku." Scourge said as he walked over to his crying Uke.

Sonic simply lay there, letting Scourge gently move him till he had his head in his lap and he was stroking the smaller male's quills. Sonic purred, nuzzling his leg.

"I'm sorry." he mumbled.

"It's fine Sonikku." Scourge said as he continued to stroke the smaller male.

Sonic sniffled, now feeling guilty, and buried his face in Scourge's stomach - just wanting to disappear.

"Don't cry love." Scourge said s he petted Sonic's head. "I don't like to see you cry..."

"But I blamed you for nothing." he murmured. "I'm the worst boyfriend ever..."

"No you're not." Scourge protested.

Sonic simply remained quiet and let Scourge pet him.

Scourge sighed, at least he had calmed down now. The Uke then slowly got up and made his way back to the kitchen. He put two pieces of bread in the toaster and waited. Guess he was having toast after all... Scourge got up and went to the kitchen, watching his Uke as he waited for the toast to pop up out of the toaster. The toast popped up, nice and toasted, and Sonic grabbed a plate and placed them on it.

Since he doubted Scourge would let him put anything on it (no matter how bad he wanted bananas and chocolate), he simply ate the plain, bland toast as it was...

Scourge smiled a little, at least Sonic was listening to him.

Sonic looked up at Scourge from finishing the bland toast and asked. "Can I have some juice?"

All that toast had him thirsty.

Scourge sighed. “Can't you have water please Sonikku? Just till we figure out what's wrong with you?”

Sonic's ears drooped and he pouted as he dropped his gaze to the floor.

"Okay..." he murmured.

“Thank you Sonikku.” the emerald male smiled softly as he went into the kitchen to get a glass of water.

Sonic quietly watched him leave, hating that he couldn't have what he wanted all because of some stupid stomach bug...

Life was so unfair...

“Here Sonikku.” Scourge said as he handed the glass to his mate.

"Thanks." he said, accepting the cup and slowly downing the water.

“No problem.” green said as he sat next to Sonic.

Once done with his water, Sonic sighed and curled up at Scourge's side.

"I'm bored." he mumbled.

“Is there anything you wanna do?” Scourge asked curiously as he stroked Sonic.

Sonic shrugged a shoulder. "I dunno. I just wanna get out of the house. What we do doesn't matter to me..."

Scourge smiled in thought. “How about we go to the beach since we didn't go the other day?”

Sonic's ears perked up at that. "The beach?"

Receiving a nod, Sonic smiled, his tail wagging. "Okay!"

Scourge chuckled as his love's response. “Alright, let's go put a picnic together to eat at the beach.”

Sonic hopped up and made his way over to a nearby closet. He rambled around inside before finding what he was looking for.

"Found it." he smiled, pulling out a picnic basket they always used when going to the beach.

Scourge stood up form the couch and made his way into the kitchen, calling out to his mate. “Come help me pack it love.”

"Coming." Sonic said, now happily following behind him.

“How are you feeling Sonikku?” Scourge asked, looking through the fridge at all the food.

If Sonic was feeling alright, then he could have what he wanted.

"I feel great." Sonic smiled, tail wagging. He hadn't felt this great since before he'd gotten sick.

“You're not pretending are you?” Scourge asked playfully, just double checking.

"No." Sonic frowned with a cute pout.

“Alright then.” green said as he backed away from the fridge a little. “Choose what you want.”

Sonic smiled and went to the fridge. He placed the following items on the kitchen table: pineapples, chocolate, chips, bananas, pickles, strawberries and double chocolate chip cookies. Scourge could only smile as he watched his Uke go from the fridge to the table and back again, seems he wasn't pretending after all. Scourge then placed some cartons of orange juice onto the table as well as a couple of cans of Bloody Mary (Red Bull) before he put some ice lollies into a freezer box and put that onto the table. Sonic curiously watched him as he now sat at the table - nomming on a chocolate covered strawberry and a slice of cheese.

“Right, basket please love.” Scourge said as he held his hand out for the basket. Sonic took a bite out of a pickle and handed over the basket.

“Cheers babe.” emerald said as he started putting everything on the table into the picnic table.

Sonic giggled and said. "Cheers."

Scourge could only smile as he finished packing the picnic basket with all the food off the table. "Finished. Is there anything else you want love?"

"I need to change clothes." Sonic said before quickly heading up to their shared bedroom.

Scourge blinked as he realized the same thing, racing upstairs he saw his love rummaging round the wardrobe for a change of clothes. Sonic soon found a pair of Bermuda shorts, a comfy T-shirt, some sandals, and a pair of shades. And he smiled when he found a deflated beach ball. Scourge smirked as he got out a muscle top and a pair of trunks. Sonic quickly changed his clothes, letting out a surprised yelp when Scourge had playfully smacked him on the rear when he'd bent over to put on his shorts.

He glared back at his smug looking mate as he blushed dark red.

"Cheer up sexy, I'm only playing with you." Scourge teased as he switched his beloved flame covered jacket for the white muscle top.

Sonic simply blushed some more and stuck his tongue out at him.

"You sure you want to do that again babe?" Scourge asked, referring to when they were on the couch yesterday.

Sonic quickly put his tongue back in his mouth and resumed putting on his clothes, blushing even darker making his seme chuckle once again. Soon both males were ready to go. They both headed downstairs and while Sonic ran into the kitchen to get the picnic basket, Scourge was contemplating how to get there; the quick way or the slow way.

"Ready." Sonic smiled, holding the basket as he came up beside his mate.

"How do you wanna get there?" Scourge asked as he smirked. "Piggyback or walk?"

Sonic thought about it, going over to the front door to look outside.

"It's pretty outside today." he said with a smile. "I'd like to enjoy the view so walking would be fine."

"Alright." Scourge smiled, heading out into the open air.

Sonic smiled and happily followed, locking the door to their home as they did so.

"The basket isn't too heavy is it love?" Green asked.

"It's fine." his little Blue smiled.

"If you're sure." green said as he held his love's hand.

"I'm sure.” Sonic smiled, his hand in his mate's as they started to walk.

Sonic absolutely loved the neighbourhood they lived in. They lived in a fenced off suburban neighbourhood with other people like them. In other words, they lived in a neighbourhood with other neighbours in same-sex relationships. They waved at their neighbours Amy and Rouge as they passed, the two women outside washing their car. Sonic whipped his head around when Amy suddenly gave a loud shriek.

Both males looked to see her now soaking wet and glaring at her wife, Rouge smirking since she liked the way Amy's wet white mini dress showed everything she had on underneath.

Scourge burst out laughing at Amy's situation, the look of lust on Rouge's face as she looked up and down her soaking wet wife was enough to make anyone who was in lust mode look normal. Sonic giggled and continued walking with his mate down the side walk as Amy chased Rouge all around their yard.

Scourge managed to calm down after a while, saying. "Wonder if Meph and Shadz are coming out today."

Sonic shrugged before remembering. ''So what did they find out was wrong with him? I'd fallen asleep a few minutes after he called, so I didn't hear...''

Scourge blinked. “Um... They found out that... Meph's pregnant...”

Sonic immediately looked at his mate, raised a brow, and laughed.

''That's funny, love,'' he giggled. ''but seriously what's wrong with him?"

Scourge didn't respond.

Sonic's smile slowly faded when he saw Scourge wasn't laughing. He blinked and his eyes widened as realization suddenly hit.

''HE'S PREGNANT?!?!" He shouted, nearly dropping the basket in shock.

Scourge nodded and rubbed his now sore ear. “Yes Sonikku, Mephiles is pregnant.”

"But....how?" The uke asked, utterly confused. ''A guy can't get pregnant, love, that's just impossi- - wait.''

''He is a guy, isn't he?" He raised a brow.

“Mephiles is definitely a guy love.” Scourge chuckled.

''Then... How could he be pregnant?" Sonic asked, scratching his head in confusion. They'd both stopped walking completely by now.

“When Shadow went to the hospital, the Doctor told him that there are people called Hermaphrodites that are male on the outside and female on the inside.” Scourge explained, holding back a cheeky smile as he saw the frown on his love''s face deepen in confusion.

"So..... Meph's a guy.... And a girl?" He asked, still confused.

“You could say that.” Scourge admitted. “It's just that Meph has a female reproductive system.”

''And.... That's how he got pregnant?" He asked.

Scourge nodded. “Yep.”

Sonic remained quiet as they resumed walking, his mind deep in thought.

“You okay love?” Scourge asked as he watches his mate.

''Yeah,'' he smiled. ''just thinking.''

“About Meph?” Scourge asked.

"Yeah,'' he nodded. ''I'm happy for him and Shadow. Having a baby sounds exciting...”

“It sure does, love. It sure does.” Scourge smiled.

Sonic smiled and they continued their walk, his mate reconnecting their hands once more. Both soon made it out of their large neighbourhood and down the street. But, by then, Sonic was feeling tired. And they hadn't even walked two blocks yet!!

Scourge looked over at his mate and frowned, noticing how tired Sonic was looking. “Are you alright love? You look really tired.”

Sonic blinked, trying to get rid of his fatigued look with a smile. "I'm fine, love..."

Scourge only looked at him with a raised brow. “Oh really?”

"Yeah," he nodded. "I'm alright..."

“Sonikku, please don't lie to me... You know I hate it when you do.” Scourge said, looking straight at his mate. “If you're tired there's no shame in admitting it. Everybody gets tired.”

Sonic's smile faded and he sighed heavily. "Okay... I'm tired. I just don't wanna ruin our day together and be stuck inside all day...”

Scourge sighed through his nose. “You think I'm going to keep you inside the house because you're ill?” he asked.

".......Yes?" He said hesitantly. That's actually what he thought Scourge would do...

Scourge sighed once more, rubbing his head. “Sonikku...”

"...Sorry..." the smaller male mumbled sadly.

Scourge smiled softly, moving closer to his mate to kiss him on the temple. “There's no need love.”

Sonic smiled softly in return, still feeling bad about not telling Scourge how he'd been feeling. He quietly let Scourge take the basket from him.

“Hop on.” the green male said as he motioned to his back.

Sonic carefully climbed on, wrapping his arms gently around his mate's neck. Once his blue blur was safely one, Scourge started running towards the beach at a steady pace. Sonic rested his head on Scourge's shoulder blade, closing his eyes as the other ran. Green smiled, and concentrated on his running, ears perking when he heard his love purr softly. Sonic smiled against his shoulder. He loved being carried like this. It reminded him of all the times Scourge would catch him off guard and randomly carry him places after they'd just started dating.
