Training in the Protocol Forest



"Hah!" yelled Veemon as he landed a quick punch into Agumon's gut.  

"Gahh!" exclaimed Agumon, sputtering from the abrupt lack of air as a result of Veemon's attack.  Agumon and Veemon were two reptilian Rookie level digimon, who decided to train in the nearby Protocol Ruins.  Their home was in Seiryu City and their tamer, the City Leader, gave them permission to go out on their own. It was decided between Agumon and Veemon that the winner of their sparring session would get to have their way with the other.  In this case apparently, it was Veemon.

"V-Vee-Veemon!" stammered Agumon as he crouched down, holding his stomach with both of his hand claws, wincing in pain.

"Ha ha, sorry there Agumon! Looks like I won huh? Well as we agreed, the winner gets their reward." said Veemon in a jokingly tone, an excited expression crossed his face. Veemon walked towards Agumon, grabbing the orange scaled rookie by each of his forearms.  They were just outside the ruins entrance and Veemon pinned his trophy against a nearby wall.

Agumon and Veemon would come back to the Protocol Forest more often than before in the future, trying different things out and experimenting. This was their new kind of training.
