"writing": "“For however many weeks… We have been starving… We have been desperate. We have ran along every game trail and given way to every cart in fear its contents might include a hitch-hiking Explorer Team. We have survived on scavenging! And one night we had a theft go well, ONCE only, and we ate like kings on a grand bounty of a little bread! I am sore, I am temperamental, I am grappling with what we have DISCOVERED OF ME…”\n\nMalla stood there… The young Braxian was slightly damp at the fringes of an already mouldy travelling cloak, tattered by reckless wear. She had paws tightly pushed against a belly covered in mussed fur, and visibly swollen…\n\n“...So instead of being lectured, I would like to SIT DOWN, MOTHER.”\n\nMalla flicked her cloak off without another word, not caring if it hit the coat rack or flopped to the ground. She stomped over to the small wicker chair in the corner of the large, round, central room of the giant gourd that made Purgis’s hut. The only other room was Purgis’s private room, nestled in the back… Not even Malla had seen what it was like in there… She had spent the greater part of her childhood here, and never so much as touched the door handle. She wouldn’t dare…\n\nThe devilish witch herself stood a few paces in front of a bubbling cauldron… In the guttering fire, her silhouette was utterly imposing, if only because the green flame that flickered so small in her pumpkin body cast anxious, dancing shadows across the insides of her hollow shell… and occasionally on the walls outside of it, where it shouldn’t have been able to… \n\nDak stepped aside until he was closer to Malla. At least she seemed unbothered by the ominous sight, despite how unnerving it was… \n\n“Is something trying to get OUT of you?” Dak hesitantly asked...\n\n“You puffed up into quite the big puppy, didn’t you?” answered the pumpkin with a soft smirk.\n\nDak’s fur went on end and he snarled, but he backed off immediately. His claw subtly rubbed a sore little scar from the first and final time he’d ever raised violence against this monstrous witch. Ghost types could live for years and years under the right conditions, and Purgis was an old and rotten gourd indeed…\n“Well. Not even going to give your mama a hug hm?”\n\nMalla rolled her eyes and nervously ran her paws over her middle to groom its fur smooth again. Warmth subtly poured through her and condensation melted off of her as steam, cleaning her and relaxing her muscles all at once… \n\nShe breathed a sigh of relief and rubbed her paw on her eye before glaring over at the witch, who had remained there with her arms folded, a suspicious, dangerously vapid expression on her face…\n\n“And who said I would lecture you anyway…? You are heavy, and I am expected to be surprised? After all, you are of age… I suppose.” she said, with a playful smirk. Malla’s cheeks burned at the accusation before she flicked her wrist…\n\n“Don’t get me started. It was…”\n\n“Me. Obviously.” Dak snorted, crossing his arms and smirking. Malla flinched as if he had just hit her across the face...\n\n“No.”\n\nDak spun and stared, his expression turning from its idle disinterest to fire and fury in an instant…\n\n“...what do you mean NO…?!”\n\n“...I mean… The timing doesn’t match up. I let you think that because I knew you’d be like… this.”\n\nDak was shuddering at each word she spoke… He gripped his head and ground his teeth. His deeply pink Lycanroc eyes swirled with growing fury…\n\n“...It’s…”\n\n“Noah.”\n\nPurgis unfolded one of her arms from where it was lightly curled around the other, and snapped her fingers. Dakarai howled and started smashing his fists with seismic force against the walls, but its force was contained in a half visible shimmering field of ghostly energy…\nShe dropped it once Dak himself dropped, clawing the ground weakly and moaning in exhaustion…\n\n“Yes. It’s Noah’s… I don’t…” Malla scraped her face in frustration before growling, “I thought I could get through to him and the best way to do that is when he’s just MATED and his head is CLEAREST… but we…”\n\nSilence fell. Purgis smirked. Malla slumped deeper into her chair, unsure if the excuse did anything but rile things further. Dak seethed impotently…\n\n“...Well. We can’t have that… Can we?”\n\n“I don’t see what you intend to do about it. Those awful little insignificant fools who run the Guild have them collared… And they are protecting the forest now...”\n\nThe Braxian’s tone became harsher as she spoke, and Purgis could tell that a flood of hormones was making her more furious with every word. Dak slammed a paw against the ground and turned to shove the door open. It hung halfway off a hinge as he stomped into the gathering dusk. Neither Malla nor Purgis stopped him…\n\n“Oh, yes, those obsessed with justice and order without understanding what it means…” \n\nPurgis sighed wistfully and spun on one stubby foot to turn back to her cauldron and swirl the contents. She gripped the long stir-stick set against a lip and churned the unholy liquids, stirring them to force more bubbles to the oily, viscous surface. It smelled strangely soothing, like a meal at your mother’s home should… but there were notes of disgust hidden just under the sweetest smells… And it certainly wasn’t a mere pot of soup.\n\nMalla was used to it. Purgis didn’t cook anyway… Neither a plant nor a ghost had need of nutrients, and the old crone was far more focused on whatever odd experiment she was doing at any given time… All in service of some dark goal she pursued…\n\nMalla never cared enough to learn to much of it, except where it aligned with her own goals… \n\n“I suppose then you are trapped? Hopeless! Listless, wavering on a sea of doubt until it comes to snuff you out!”\nMalla took her paws off of her face and glared. Purgis grinned and released her stirring stick again…\n\n“Well my dear… My house has never been closed to you… And yet you avoid me… As if I were not the only one in this whole wide world to understand what you see…”\n\nThe young fox gripped her middle and breathed out hard, closing her eyes. She hadn’t even thought about that… If what she saw in her vision came to pass, then… Her baby…\n\n“Yes. Have you seen it lately…?”\n\n“It’s ALL I see! You know that as well as I do…”\n\nPurgis tapped her fingers together and swayed her wide hips in a playful dance…\n\n“All you see is that sun… That burning, scouring sun… Still?”\n\n“...exactly the same…”\n\nPurgis crossed her arms and looked thoughtful… She framed the jack-o-lantern grin on her front with her wispy arms…\n\n“Well… Your own flame is yet weak, dear Malla… But you know it is not the only flame you can gaze into… And the stronger the flame, the more you can see…”\n\nThere was silence, save for the rustling of the branches in the evening breeze, and the thickly bubbling cauldron…\n\n“It’s stronger than the mere spark it was last time… My power grows, and I bend it towards that Forest more and more… In time, it may be a roaring blaze, and I may have more influence than you expect…”\n\nShe smirked… And then moved herself with a twirl to stand directly in front of Malla…\n\n“Gaze, young fox… Gaze into that which burns eternally, internally!”\n\n“I said I never would again… That’s when I started seeing this future in the first place…”\n\n“And if you wish to prevent it…”\n\nMalla flinched, and glanced towards the Pumpkin Pokemon. She was grinning, but unlike her usual wild and intimidating smirk… this one was more genuine… More… Worrisome…\n\nIt was as if she knew something you didn’t… It was as if she had a trap ready to spring… \n\nThe young fox glared up at her, and her arms wrapped a bit more protectively around her middle… But her gaze was drawn almost against her will to the flame…\n\n...that tiny flickering emerald flare of energy… Yawning gently open like a portal… The closer she peered, the deeper it seemed…\n\n“The future is written in the wavering weave of the fire…”\n\nDak had cleared away a bald patch in the forest he had stomped into. He had smashed every rock and yanked trees up by the roots, flinging them into the undergrowth and listening to the satisfying panic of the wild Pokemon therein…\n\nNo matter how they whimpered and screamed, it wouldn’t be enough… They weren’t the right species… They weren’t the Pokemon he would give even his most sacred parts to get his claws on right now...\n\n“Dakarai.”\n\nHe whirled, and the voice was perhaps the only one to exist that could temper his fury for even a split second... He needed the judgement of that second to know that flinging a sharp rock in the direction would be a terrible idea…\n\nOtherwise he wouldn’t have cared, friend or foe...\n\nMalla was different… Even Dak’s pride couldn’t shield him from the fact that she was so powerful a witch, his type advantage wasn’t enough to put them on equal footing… He shuddered to think how strong she would be once she finally evolved… She was certainly taking her sweet time, but a larger and stronger form would make her almost unstoppable…\n\nHe didn’t want her to be larger or stronger though. He liked the form that now stood in front of him…\n\n“You aren’t wearing your cloak…” he muttered in what sounded like annoyance. Malla rolled her eyes. For all his bluster, she wasn’t sure if she should take moments like that as genuine concern, or just worry over the spawn contained inside her. She crossed her arms firmly over her budding chest, and set atop a belly that shouldn’t have been on her frame…\n\nToo young. Too foolish. Too immature to save the world…\n\n“I don’t need a cloak. The weather is calm and clear, and I have learned some things…”\n\n“What THINGS could you have learned to fix this?”\n\n“You’re a single minded fool, Dakarai.” Malla said, stepping up to him. Her tone was harsh enough to put him on the back foot, eyes widening…\n“You’ve always been a single-minded fool. You’ve always insisted nothing matters but spreading your seed… And here I am, attempting to ensure that the pup I have now has a future that isn’t defined by drought…”\n\nThe word hung in the air… The moniker the young witch had taken for herself from the beginning… To keep in mind her crusade. Dak sneered…\n\n“I am not a father. I am not going to be taking care of them one way or another. Why would I care? Let Noah’s brat grow up desperate in a world lacking their element…” Dak grinned wickedly and shrugged… “Perhaps if it’s a female, and a Water type, it would be doubly useful in a dying world!”\n\nLightning rumbled on the horizon. The storm had passed them by, it seemed, but the atmosphere was still thick and smelled of petrichor…\n\n“So you’ve decided you won’t help me any more.” Malla finally said. Dak sneered once more, and flexed his claws…\n\n“It would take quite a lot to convince me to chaperone the whore who carries my rivals SPAWN…”\n\n“But you would follow me if it were yours!” \n\nDak snarled, snapping an inch or two away from her muzzle. She remained unflinching, with her brow furrowing harder…\n\n“It can be.”\n\nDak pointed a claw at her and opened his jaws to spew more anger, but they snapped closed in shock as he processed what she had said…\n\n“What do you mean IT CAN BE?!”\n\n“It could still be yours…”\n\nThe thunder in the distance rumbled sharply again… So close, yet so far…\n\n\n\n\n\n“The timing then. It didn’t match as well as you thought.” Dak growled. But Malla shook her head and turned away. It was only once she didn’t have her eyes turned towards him any more that he realized they had the faintest tinges of green seeping in at the edges. \n\n“You peered into the future…?”\n\nHe had been forcibly calmed by confusion. He could never understand the depths, but he could see how brightly they burned behind those intense eyes. The Braxian was held her middle and paced...\n\n“Explain yourself… What did that witch tell you…?”\n\n“She told me nothing. I can trust the visions her fires give; they are no different than my own, just more clear. And I saw what she was driving at… A blessing…”\n\n“A blessing?”\n\nMalla finally turned back to him. In the dim of the stormy, dying light… Her eyes glowed brighter than anything else in the gloomy clearing…\n\n“From our master… Darkrai.”\n\nDak put a broad paw to his chest and stepped back… The thunder in the distance seemed to crash just a bit more viciously...\n\n“He…” he could barely form the words… His jaws clenched and again, a rare emotion flickered across his expression…\n\n...fear…\n\n“No, he did not reach out to us. He remains slumbering, and yet his power is just as accessible as… As the pink feline’s…”\n\nMalla’s expression became crooked with annoyance. In her mind, the image of the future the flames foresaw could only mean Mew was an utter failure as a deity, if indeed she wasn’t merely a powerful Pokemon who had the fortune of catching a few fools’ faith...\n\n“What are you saying?”\n\n“A curse. Well. Technically a curse. We draw upon the power of the Darkness to create a mystic alteration to this growing baby… Aligning the powers of our intrinsic elements in accord to… Ah...”\n\nShe set her paws on her middle as it kicked. Dak glanced with a soft growl…\n\n“...and... in invoking this curse… This ritual… We can call upon an old ability granted by the Dark Master himself… Fecundity… At the base level… The very soul…”\n\nFecundity. Dak ignored a lot of larger words… There were smaller words he could say faster… Exsanguinate? Cut. Impregnate? Breed. Fecund…?\n\nThat one he kept in his head. He took special note of the species who had it. But now Malla was claiming something else entirely…\n\nThe ability to ‘infect’ a creature, mystically… To achieve something via ‘magic’ that was so…\n\n...perfect...\n\nHe looked at his paws, as if working out numbers in his head as he took all this in. Whatever he was working out, his head suddenly snapped up…\n\n“Even now?”\n\n“Especially now… I have a few weeks left before I drop her…”\n\n“Her…!”\n\n“A Fennekin… Purgis says she’s healthy and strong…”\n\n“And not even a…!”\n\nHe was pacing… His eyes were wide… He had apparently grasped the gravity of the situation, but in case he hadn’t, Malla spoke up again…\n\n“If you were to mate me while this ritual is performed… You will give the baby a portion of yourself… Your very essence! You will create a baby with one mother, and…”\n\n“TWO fathers…”\n\nMalla’s eyebrows raised in surprise. She had been trying to tiptoe around that fact; the baby inside her was conceived by Noah… That would never change… Yet Dak seemed to relish the thought…\n\n“I could… CORRUPT his baby into MINE… I could steal away his progeny just by…!”\n\n“Don’t get any ideas… This isn’t a ritual we can perform every time you desire… But in this case…”\n\n“It is NECESSARY to do.”\n\nDak finished her words, and pushed her suddenly up against a tree. Her face reddened and she gripped at the non-existent cloak around her body…\n\n“Dakarai I am far enough along that it would have to be done delicately…”\n\n“HAH! You must be joking… I’m stealing Noah’s pride out from under him and you think I am going to… To go easy…?”\n\nHe dragged her suddenly forward and set her on a stump. She wobbled hard and winced, forced to press her paws to her spine and lean heavily to balance her weight…\n\n“Do what you must.” Dak nearly spat, his impatience wavering the air around him like heat. He stepped back and Malla blushed…\n\nThe revelation had such an effect that the Lycanroc already had his paws wrapped around his fertile spire, letting it dribble heavily…\n\nMalla huffed sharply…\n\n“Of course, all of this was an offer and not a question… If this is what maintains you as an ally, I couldn’t give a damn how many fathers the baby has... But it would at least be nice to have a bit of consideration for the one who has to carry it…”\n\nShe had removed her wand and conjured a flame. She glanced over at Dak, whose gaze was distant as he played the scenario in his head to his throbbingly obvious… satisfaction…\nMalla growled, as she was simultaneously questioning and being reminded of why she kept the brute around…\n\n“Lord of the night… Patron of the dark, and those who dwell within it… Master of shadows that will blot the sun…!”\n\nShe swayed her flame, and as she did, runes were seared into the stump below her. They smouldered orange before flaring into a glittering sapphire display…\n\n“Heed me… Heed my wish for your… CORRUPTION!!! Give me your lurid blessing… Curse my body, this I demand, in service to you! IN SERVICE TO THE NIGHT!!!”\n\nHer flame snuffed like a candle… The shadows stretched as the stump burned with her on it… And the fires swayed and then seemed to press ‘into’ her belly button…\n\nShe shuddered and doubled over… Then she took a careful step off of the charred stump and stood straight again to reveal the symbol seared into her midsection…\n\nAn eye… An unmistakable, inescapable gaze…\n\nIt faded quickly, but would forever be there beneath the fur… A faded brand to remind her…\n\nShe brushed her middle gently and shoved her stick back into her tail, before turning and…\n\nThud!\n\nHer shoulders were suddenly back against the stump… She hissed and held her middle tighter as it clenched with the rough shove…\n\n“Dakarai, GENTLE you stupid WOLF…”\n\nHe grinned with a razor gleam that said he had ignored what that ‘big word’ meant… Gentle…\n\n\nHe licked her neck and growled into her ear, breathing steam for how excited he became. He had always been unusually attracted to this bossy little vixen… Perhaps some part of him respected that she never backed down… That she was always stronger than the other toys he had long since broken…\n\nHe’d just have to fuck that out of her.\n\nShe was pinned on her front, in proper feral style. She arched and squeaked protests that seemed adorable in contrast to the display of power she had just given so casually, as if it wasn’t some immense thing to call down the power of a creature so legendary. Her pup had woken finally, calm and sleepy as they usually seemed, and kicked hard against her side, briefly leaving a pawprint… The fox squeaked again, with a different tone that made Dak shudder in delight...\n\n“Our child will be one of the strongest ever bred, Malla…”\n\n“Be… Be… G-g-ge-”\n\nHis hips thrust into hers with a satisfying smack. His knot was at her spade with one smooth motion, just to cut off her protest with a shriek of pain, and her belly WRITHED…\n\n“Shut up…”\n\nThe pillow talk was ended. Now came the act itself… He pressed her firmly into the dirt, and her claws scraped through it as he pulled back, and thrust…\n\nHe reached down to rub her middle, and soothe what was inside… Despite that, where another lover might have been tender… His grasp was greedy… possessive, even so tight as to nearly dig his claws in...\n\nThere was no love in Dak, Malla realized. She hadn’t wanted to accept it, and likely some part of her desired to turn him into the hero she fell in love with…\n\nBut with that hero’s spawn being corrupted by the curse, shaking angrily inside her, she could feel all sense of potential kindness leave her partner… The last vestiges of his decency were lost in the violent thrusts he gave her tight, slick spade…\nThe only reason her water didn’t break then and there was that he kept a firm grip on her middle… Kept it steady, and kept the baby from getting too upset… He kept his aim just such that, despite Malla whining, he never quite hit deep enough…\n\nHis knot beat her entrance, but didn’t slip inside… This was a swollen up female, after all… No need to ‘make sure’ his seed took… The curse would take care of that…!\n\nMalla gasped and gripped his arm, but he merely leaned down further and snapped his powerful jaws near her muzzle… Protestation silenced before it could even be given… She howled none the less, and Dak couldn’t help but join her, more full throated and pleasured instead of her squeal of pure pleasure…\n\nShe never could resist… He liked to think that’s why he ultimately was chosen over Noah, all that time ago...\n\nWith a moan her eyes rolled back into her head… Dak savoured the gaze, grinning down at the female he was hunched over…\n\n“Do you know… Where we’re going now… Malla…? You want… My help… I have one request…”\n\nMalla trembled and put a paw on her middle. Her back paws scraped in the dirt… She couldn’t say no in this position, could she…?\n\n“Ilianna…”\n\nQuivering, the Braxian nodded… And her reward was his almost maddened roar of laughter, and to have her body shoved painfully harder into the ground below… The thrusts came faster… Dakarai arched and howled once more…\n\nThe eye on Malla’s belly glowed dimly with deep blue light… As the wolf seeded the fox…\n\nNothing physical happened to the pup, of course… But even in her fatigued state, Malla could sense the energy… Where once was Fire and Water, now there gathered the stones themselves as well… The pup writhed as she felt… Not physical pain, per se, but… A spiritual shift… A destiny rewritten. \nThe Braxian moaned gently and dragged her paws along her fur, suffering under Dak’s corruption, and her pup beating her insides black and blue because of it…\n\nShe hoped she’d made the right choice…\n\n\n===\n\n\nBack in her hut, Purgis stopped stirring her cauldron… The flame in her midsection flickered wildly, as if in a strong wind. She put her hand on her middle… As a Gourgeist it was already ‘swollen’, but hers was particularly pregnant…\n\n“...Where…?”\n\nIf you were stood in the room, you would see the Ghost type stood stock-still there, in the deafening and unnatural silence...\n\n“...Ahhhh… Goooood… Then this… This will do nicely…”\n\nShe turned and waddled across the hut… She pushed open a trunk and began to rummage around the strange trinkets within it, a look of delight on her face…\n\nAn old and odious teapot…? No…\n\nAn older, cracked scallop? No, no…\n\nAhhh…\n\nShe pulled out a small lantern, and brought it up to her eye. Peering through it, one would see a mishmash of flickering images… It took a lot to be able to focus it, and interpret what the sometimes nascent images meant…\n\nBut if you could… If you knew the right witch… If you took the time to learn…\n\nThe images flicked rapidly until they settled upon… The silhouette of a Frogadier…\n\n“I… See… You!”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\"What do you mean!?\"\nThey stood now in the chamber of the Guild Founder. The great Dragonite stared down stoically from a perch on a large chair. His claws tapped as he studied the Dewott before him, whose fur was on end as he stood slightly in front of a Frogadier who looked shocked... but also distracted... Very distracted...\nThey spoke at length, furious and indignant… But there was a bit of relief, wasn’t there? The burden of the rules was weighing on them already, and with Ilianna’s progressing pregnancy, (the first of many), there was no way they wouldn’t come to blows, metaphorically… hopefully…\n\nThat night, Noah was yanking the drawstrings of a pack with a grunt, when Ilianna finally returned with her own pack. She set it down next to him and sighed heavily, before putting her hand on her middle…\n\nNoah’s was there in an instant, and where her expression was one of furrowed worry, his was a light and cocky grin, as it always seemed to be…\n\n“You aren’t nervous about it already are you…?”\n\nIlianna couldn’t help but chuckle gently at that, though mostly because of what she immediately responded with;\n\n“The pregnancy, or the journey?”\n\nNoah joined her chuckling, and he put an arm around her to squeeze her gently to his side…\n\n“We’re setting out to find our nest. The place we’ll make our home for the rest of our lives. And speaking of the rest of your life…” \n\nHe patted her stomach...\n\n“It’s perfectly okay to be nervous with that too… Any of it. But you got me, don’t you? And I have you… And soon we’ll have more than just us. If we needed a fancy guild for that, then I got the wrong teachings eh?”\n\nShe glanced away shyly when he touched her middle, and then back…\n\n“Noah…”\n“Ah, save it a bit. I just realized if I don’t get to the mess hall before it closes we’re setting off without some of the good rations…”\n\nHe kissed her cheek…\n\n“It’ll be just a minute.”\n\nShe turned and watched him go, then looked back down at her open bag…\n\n...then she looked at the barely jutting middle next to it…\n\n“...damn that otter… If this ends up coming out a Rockruff…”\n\nShe crossed her arms and began to pace… She settled her fist against her mouth with an intense, concentrated gaze that she only ever seemed to give in battle…\n\nTo tell… Or not to tell…\n\nNot to tell? Why would she assume her little ones wouldn’t share her species… Certainly Noah’s if nothing else. The thought of it being born as a Rockruff was just an anxious, invasive thought that she had to focus away… Strange as the allure was...\n\n“Of course, Illy. That would be a banner moment in the relationship.”\n\nSo the question was what to do about it?\n\nTo tell.\n\nThat would mean she’d have to reveal that she and Dak… No. What Dak had done TO her… Right? It had been long enough that there was no way…\n\nWere Rockruffs slow growing? Were Dewotts, o-or rather, Oshawotts, or Froakie or...???\n\n“DAMN that otter… So EAGER, and ALL of the time… And damn you too, Ilianna, for… much the same...”\n\nShe paused, as a tingle went up her spine.\n\n\n\nShe whirled around to defend herself, but it was too late. Something hard hit her square in the forehead, and she went down…\n\nAs her consciousness swirled in and out of foggy images, she felt herself being dragged along… Tucked into a crate… Carried somewhere…?\n\nShe scented the ocean… \n\nAnd then fell into it, her mind swirling away in endless blue...\n\n===\n\n“Ahhh… That took longer than I thought, Illy… But I got your fav… or…?”\n\nHe stepped into the room and then set the pack he held aside. His cheerful look suddenly dropped away, and his fur stood on end. His eyes darted over the scene repeatedly as he tried to figure out what about it said that something was wrong… Ilianna hadn’t simply stepped out to the bathroom…\n\nHe stalked forward… His face was a shallow, near expressionless mask of anxiety. He wasn’t sure what he sensed, not immediately. He had to take in the scents… The… Elemental energy…\n\nHe kicked the table over and sent its contents scattering over the floor. He didn’t care. His gaze was now fixed on what he’d unveiled...\n\nA stone, staked deliberately in the wooden flooring. He walked over and, with some effort, wrenched it up…\n\nHis eyes were narrowed to pinpoints… The stone dripped a single drop of blood…\n\n“...Ilianna…”\n\nIt quivered in his paw… Until it suddenly shattered violently with the pressure of his balled fist… It flung its shards into the walls and stuck there deeply...\n\nHis paw dripped… He clenched, and ground the stones into his palm harder…\n\nHis expression hadn’t turned… But his eyes gleamed with a dangerous obsession…\n\n“...Dakarai...”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n",

The only other room was Purgis&rsquo;s private room, nestled in the back&hellip; Not even Malla had seen what it was like in there&hellip; She had spent the greater part of her childhood here, and never so much as touched the door handle. Neither Malla nor Purgis stopped him&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Oh, yes, those obsessed with justice and order without understanding what it means&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />Purgis sighed wistfully and spun on one stubby foot to turn back to her cauldron and swirl the contents. It smelled strangely soothing, like a meal at your mother&rsquo;s home should&hellip; but there were notes of disgust hidden just under the sweetest smells&hellip; And it certainly wasn&rsquo;t a mere pot of soup.<br /><br />Malla was used to it. Purgis didn&rsquo;t cook anyway&hellip; Neither a plant nor a ghost had need of nutrients, and the old crone was far more focused on whatever odd experiment she was doing at any given time&hellip; All in service of some dark goal she pursued&hellip;<br /><br />Malla never cared enough to learn to much of it, except where it aligned with her own goals&hellip; <br /><br />&ldquo;I suppose then you are trapped? Purgis grinned and released her stirring stick again&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Well my dear&hellip; My house has never been closed to you&hellip; And yet you avoid me&hellip; As if I were not the only one in this whole wide world to understand what you see&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />The young fox gripped her middle and breathed out hard, closing her eyes. She was grinning, but unlike her usual wild and intimidating smirk&hellip; this one was more genuine&hellip; More&hellip; Worrisome&hellip;<br /><br />It was as if she knew something you didn&rsquo;t&hellip; It was as if she had a trap ready to spring&hellip; <br /><br />The young fox glared up at her, and her arms wrapped a bit more protectively around her middle&hellip; But her gaze was drawn almost against her will to the flame&hellip;<br /><br />...that tiny flickering emerald flare of energy&hellip; Yawning gently open like a portal&hellip; The closer she peered, the deeper it seemed&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;The future is written in the wavering weave of the fire&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />Dak had cleared away a bald patch in the forest he had stomped into. He had smashed every rock and yanked trees up by the roots, flinging them into the undergrowth and listening to the satisfying panic of the wild Pokemon therein&hellip;<br /><br />No matter how they whimpered and screamed, it wouldn&rsquo;t be enough&hellip; They weren&rsquo;t the right species&hellip; They weren&rsquo;t the Pokemon he would give even his most sacred parts to get his claws on right now...<br /><br />&ldquo;Dakarai.&rdquo;<br /><br />He whirled, and the voice was perhaps the only one to exist that could temper his fury for even a split second... He needed the judgement of that second to know that flinging a sharp rock in the direction would be a terrible idea&hellip;<br /><br />Otherwise he wouldn&rsquo;t have cared, friend or foe...<br /><br />Malla was different&hellip; Even Dak&rsquo;s pride couldn&rsquo;t shield him from the fact that she was so powerful a witch, his type advantage wasn&rsquo;t enough to put them on equal footing&hellip; He shuddered to think how strong she would be once she finally evolved&hellip; She was certainly taking her sweet time, but a larger and stronger form would make her almost unstoppable&hellip;<br /><br />He didn&rsquo;t want her to be larger or stronger though. He liked the form that now stood in front of him&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;You aren&rsquo;t wearing your cloak&hellip;&rdquo; he muttered in what sounded like annoyance. Malla rolled her eyes. For all his bluster, she wasn&rsquo;t sure if she should take moments like that as genuine concern, or just worry over the spawn contained inside her. She crossed her arms firmly over her budding chest, and set atop a belly that shouldn&rsquo;t have been on her frame&hellip;<br /><br />Too young. Too foolish. Too immature to save the world&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t need a cloak. The weather is calm and clear, and I have learned some things&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What THINGS could you have learned to fix this?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;re a single minded fool, Dakarai.&rdquo; Malla said, stepping up to him. Her tone was harsh enough to put him on the back foot, eyes widening&hellip;<br />&ldquo;You&rsquo;ve always been a single-minded fool. You&rsquo;ve always insisted nothing matters but spreading your seed&hellip; And here I am, attempting to ensure that the pup I have now has a future that isn&rsquo;t defined by drought&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />The word hung in the air&hellip; The moniker the young witch had taken for herself from the beginning&hellip; To keep in mind her crusade. Dak sneered&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;I am not a father. I am not going to be taking care of them one way or another. Why would I care? Let Noah&rsquo;s brat grow up desperate in a world lacking their element&hellip;&rdquo; Dak grinned wickedly and shrugged&hellip; &ldquo;Perhaps if it&rsquo;s a female, and a Water type, it would be doubly useful in a dying world!&rdquo;<br /><br />Lightning rumbled on the horizon. The storm had passed them by, it seemed, but the atmosphere was still thick and smelled of petrichor&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;So you&rsquo;ve decided you won&rsquo;t help me any more.&rdquo; Malla finally said. Dak sneered once more, and flexed his claws&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;It would take quite a lot to convince me to chaperone the whore who carries my rivals SPAWN&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;But you would follow me if it were yours!&rdquo; <br /><br />Dak snarled, snapping an inch or two away from her muzzle. She remained unflinching, with her brow furrowing harder&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;It can be.&rdquo;<br /><br />Dak pointed a claw at her and opened his jaws to spew more anger, but they snapped closed in shock as he processed what she had said&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;What do you mean IT CAN BE?!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;It could still be yours&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />The thunder in the distance rumbled sharply again&hellip; So close, yet so far&hellip;<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />&ldquo;The timing then. It didn&rsquo;t match as well as you thought.&rdquo; Dak growled. But Malla shook her head and turned away. It was only once she didn&rsquo;t have her eyes turned towards him any more that he realized they had the faintest tinges of green seeping in at the edges. <br /><br />&ldquo;You peered into the future&hellip;?&rdquo;<br /><br />He had been forcibly calmed by confusion. He could never understand the depths, but he could see how brightly they burned behind those intense eyes. The Braxian was held her middle and paced...<br /><br />&ldquo;Explain yourself&hellip; What did that witch tell you&hellip;?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;She told me nothing. I can trust the visions her fires give; they are no different than my own, just more clear. And I saw what she was driving at&hellip; A blessing&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;A blessing?&rdquo;<br /><br />Malla finally turned back to him. In the dim of the stormy, dying light&hellip; Her eyes glowed brighter than anything else in the gloomy clearing&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;From our master&hellip; Darkrai.&rdquo;<br /><br />Dak put a broad paw to his chest and stepped back&hellip; The thunder in the distance seemed to crash just a bit more viciously...<br /><br />&ldquo;He&hellip;&rdquo; he could barely form the words&hellip; His jaws clenched and again, a rare emotion flickered across his expression&hellip;<br /><br />...fear&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;No, he did not reach out to us. He remains slumbering, and yet his power is just as accessible as&hellip; As the pink feline&rsquo;s&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />Malla&rsquo;s expression became crooked with annoyance. In her mind, the image of the future the flames foresaw could only mean Mew was an utter failure as a deity, if indeed she wasn&rsquo;t merely a powerful Pokemon who had the fortune of catching a few fools&rsquo; faith...<br /><br />&ldquo;What are you saying?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;A curse. Well. Technically a curse. We draw upon the power of the Darkness to create a mystic alteration to this growing baby&hellip; Aligning the powers of our intrinsic elements in accord to&hellip; Ah...&rdquo;<br /><br />She set her paws on her middle as it kicked. Dak glanced with a soft growl&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;...and... in invoking this curse&hellip; This ritual&hellip; We can call upon an old ability granted by the Dark Master himself&hellip; Fecundity&hellip; At the base level&hellip; The very soul&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />Fecundity. Dak ignored a lot of larger words&hellip; There were smaller words he could say faster&hellip; Exsanguinate? Cut. Impregnate? Breed. Fecund&hellip;?<br /><br />That one he kept in his head. He took special note of the species who had it. But now Malla was claiming something else entirely&hellip;<br /><br />The ability to &lsquo;infect&rsquo; a creature, mystically&hellip; To achieve something via &lsquo;magic&rsquo; that was so&hellip;<br /><br />...perfect...<br /><br />He looked at his paws, as if working out numbers in his head as he took all this in. Whatever he was working out, his head suddenly snapped up&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Even now?&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Especially now&hellip; I have a few weeks left before I drop her&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Her&hellip;!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;A Fennekin&hellip; Purgis says she&rsquo;s healthy and strong&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;And not even a&hellip;!&rdquo;<br /><br />He was pacing&hellip; His eyes were wide&hellip; He had apparently grasped the gravity of the situation, but in case he hadn&rsquo;t, Malla spoke up again&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;If you were to mate me while this ritual is performed&hellip; You will give the baby a portion of yourself&hellip; Your very essence! You will create a baby with one mother, and&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;TWO fathers&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />Malla&rsquo;s eyebrows raised in surprise. She had been trying to tiptoe around that fact; the baby inside her was conceived by Noah&hellip; That would never change&hellip; Yet Dak seemed to relish the thought&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;I could&hellip; CORRUPT his baby into MINE&hellip; I could steal away his progeny just by&hellip;!&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Don&rsquo;t get any ideas&hellip; This isn&rsquo;t a ritual we can perform every time you desire&hellip; But in this case&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;It is NECESSARY to do.&rdquo;<br /><br />Dak finished her words, and pushed her suddenly up against a tree. Her face reddened and she gripped at the non-existent cloak around her body&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Dakarai I am far enough along that it would have to be done delicately&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;HAH! You must be joking&hellip; I&rsquo;m stealing Noah&rsquo;s pride out from under him and you think I am going to&hellip; To go easy&hellip;?&rdquo;<br /><br />He dragged her suddenly forward and set her on a stump. She wobbled hard and winced, forced to press her paws to her spine and lean heavily to balance her weight&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Do what you must.&rdquo; Dak nearly spat, his impatience wavering the air around him like heat. He stepped back and Malla blushed&hellip;<br /><br />The revelation had such an effect that the Lycanroc already had his paws wrapped around his fertile spire, letting it dribble heavily&hellip;<br /><br />Malla huffed sharply&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Of course, all of this was an offer and not a question&hellip; If this is what maintains you as an ally, I couldn&rsquo;t give a damn how many fathers the baby has... But it would at least be nice to have a bit of consideration for the one who has to carry it&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />She had removed her wand and conjured a flame. She glanced over at Dak, whose gaze was distant as he played the scenario in his head to his throbbingly obvious&hellip; satisfaction&hellip;<br />Malla growled, as she was simultaneously questioning and being reminded of why she kept the brute around&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Lord of the night&hellip; Patron of the dark, and those who dwell within it&hellip; Master of shadows that will blot the sun&hellip;!&rdquo;<br /><br />She swayed her flame, and as she did, runes were seared into the stump below her. They smouldered orange before flaring into a glittering sapphire display&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Heed me&hellip; Heed my wish for your&hellip; CORRUPTION!!! Give me your lurid blessing&hellip; Curse my body, this I demand, in service to you! IN SERVICE TO THE NIGHT!!!&rdquo;<br /><br />Her flame snuffed like a candle&hellip; The shadows stretched as the stump burned with her on it&hellip; And the fires swayed and then seemed to press &lsquo;into&rsquo; her belly button&hellip;<br /><br />She shuddered and doubled over&hellip; Then she took a careful step off of the charred stump and stood straight again to reveal the symbol seared into her midsection&hellip;<br /><br />An eye&hellip; An unmistakable, inescapable gaze&hellip;<br /><br />It faded quickly, but would forever be there beneath the fur&hellip; A faded brand to remind her&hellip;<br /><br />She brushed her middle gently and shoved her stick back into her tail, before turning and&hellip;<br /><br />Thud!<br /><br />Her shoulders were suddenly back against the stump&hellip; She hissed and held her middle tighter as it clenched with the rough shove&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Dakarai, GENTLE you stupid WOLF&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />He grinned with a razor gleam that said he had ignored what that &lsquo;big word&rsquo; meant&hellip; Gentle&hellip;<br /><br /><br />He licked her neck and growled into her ear, breathing steam for how excited he became. He had always been unusually attracted to this bossy little vixen&hellip; Perhaps some part of him respected that she never backed down&hellip; That she was always stronger than the other toys he had long since broken&hellip;<br /><br />He&rsquo;d just have to fuck that out of her.<br /><br />She was pinned on her front, in proper feral style. She arched and squeaked protests that seemed adorable in contrast to the display of power she had just given so casually, as if it wasn&rsquo;t some immense thing to call down the power of a creature so legendary. Her pup had woken finally, calm and sleepy as they usually seemed, and kicked hard against her side, briefly leaving a pawprint&hellip; The fox squeaked again, with a different tone that made Dak shudder in delight...<br /><br />&ldquo;Our child will be one of the strongest ever bred, Malla&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Be&hellip; Be&hellip; G-g-ge-&rdquo;<br /><br />His hips thrust into hers with a satisfying smack. His knot was at her spade with one smooth motion, just to cut off her protest with a shriek of pain, and her belly WRITHED&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Shut up&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />The pillow talk was ended. Now came the act itself&hellip; He pressed her firmly into the dirt, and her claws scraped through it as he pulled back, and thrust&hellip;<br /><br />He reached down to rub her middle, and soothe what was inside&hellip; Despite that, where another lover might have been tender&hellip; His grasp was greedy&hellip; possessive, even so tight as to nearly dig his claws in...<br /><br />There was no love in Dak, Malla realized. She hadn&rsquo;t wanted to accept it, and likely some part of her desired to turn him into the hero she fell in love with&hellip;<br /><br />But with that hero&rsquo;s spawn being corrupted by the curse, shaking angrily inside her, she could feel all sense of potential kindness leave her partner&hellip; The last vestiges of his decency were lost in the violent thrusts he gave her tight, slick spade&hellip;<br />The only reason her water didn&rsquo;t break then and there was that he kept a firm grip on her middle&hellip; Kept it steady, and kept the baby from getting too upset&hellip; He kept his aim just such that, despite Malla whining, he never quite hit deep enough&hellip;<br /><br />His knot beat her entrance, but didn&rsquo;t slip inside&hellip; This was a swollen up female, after all&hellip; No need to &lsquo;make sure&rsquo; his seed took&hellip; The curse would take care of that&hellip;!<br /><br />Malla gasped and gripped his arm, but he merely leaned down further and snapped his powerful jaws near her muzzle&hellip; Protestation silenced before it could even be given&hellip; She howled none the less, and Dak couldn&rsquo;t help but join her, more full throated and pleasured instead of her squeal of pure pleasure&hellip;<br /><br />She never could resist&hellip; He liked to think that&rsquo;s why he ultimately was chosen over Noah, all that time ago...<br /><br />With a moan her eyes rolled back into her head&hellip; Dak savoured the gaze, grinning down at the female he was hunched over&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Do you know&hellip; Where we&rsquo;re going now&hellip; Malla&hellip;? You want&hellip; My help&hellip; I have one request&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />Malla trembled and put a paw on her middle. Her back paws scraped in the dirt&hellip; She couldn&rsquo;t say no in this position, could she&hellip;?<br /><br />&ldquo;Ilianna&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />Quivering, the Braxian nodded&hellip; And her reward was his almost maddened roar of laughter, and to have her body shoved painfully harder into the ground below&hellip; The thrusts came faster&hellip; Dakarai arched and howled once more&hellip;<br /><br />The eye on Malla&rsquo;s belly glowed dimly with deep blue light&hellip; As the wolf seeded the fox&hellip;<br /><br />Nothing physical happened to the pup, of course&hellip; But even in her fatigued state, Malla could sense the energy&hellip; Where once was Fire and Water, now there gathered the stones themselves as well&hellip; The pup writhed as she felt&hellip; Not physical pain, per se, but&hellip; A spiritual shift&hellip; A destiny rewritten. <br />The Braxian moaned gently and dragged her paws along her fur, suffering under Dak&rsquo;s corruption, and her pup beating her insides black and blue because of it&hellip;<br /><br />She hoped she&rsquo;d made the right choice&hellip;<br /><br /><br />===<br /><br /><br />Back in her hut, Purgis stopped stirring her cauldron&hellip; The flame in her midsection flickered wildly, as if in a strong wind. She put her hand on her middle&hellip; As a Gourgeist it was already &lsquo;swollen&rsquo;, but hers was particularly pregnant&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;...Where&hellip;?&rdquo;<br /><br />If you were stood in the room, you would see the Ghost type stood stock-still there, in the deafening and unnatural silence...<br /><br />&ldquo;...Ahhhh&hellip; Goooood&hellip; Then this&hellip; This will do nicely&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />She turned and waddled across the hut&hellip; She pushed open a trunk and began to rummage around the strange trinkets within it, a look of delight on her face&hellip;<br /><br />An old and odious teapot&hellip;? No&hellip;<br /><br />An older, cracked scallop? No, no&hellip;<br /><br />Ahhh&hellip;<br /><br />She pulled out a small lantern, and brought it up to her eye. Peering through it, one would see a mishmash of flickering images&hellip; It took a lot to be able to focus it, and interpret what the sometimes nascent images meant&hellip;<br /><br />But if you could&hellip; If you knew the right witch&hellip; If you took the time to learn&hellip;<br /><br />The images flicked rapidly until they settled upon&hellip; The silhouette of a Frogadier&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;I&hellip; See&hellip; You!&rdquo;<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />&quot;What do you mean!?&quot;<br />They stood now in the chamber of the Guild Founder. The great Dragonite stared down stoically from a perch on a large chair. His claws tapped as he studied the Dewott before him, whose fur was on end as he stood slightly in front of a Frogadier who looked shocked... but also distracted... Very distracted...<br />They spoke at length, furious and indignant&hellip; But there was a bit of relief, wasn&rsquo;t there? The burden of the rules was weighing on them already, and with Ilianna&rsquo;s progressing pregnancy, (the first of many), there was no way they wouldn&rsquo;t come to blows, metaphorically&hellip; hopefully&hellip;<br /><br />That night, Noah was yanking the drawstrings of a pack with a grunt, when Ilianna finally returned with her own pack. She set it down next to him and sighed heavily, before putting her hand on her middle&hellip;<br /><br />Noah&rsquo;s was there in an instant, and where her expression was one of furrowed worry, his was a light and cocky grin, as it always seemed to be&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;You aren&rsquo;t nervous about it already are you&hellip;?&rdquo;<br /><br />Ilianna couldn&rsquo;t help but chuckle gently at that, though mostly because of what she immediately responded with;<br /><br />&ldquo;The pregnancy, or the journey?&rdquo;<br /><br />Noah joined her chuckling, and he put an arm around her to squeeze her gently to his side&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;We&rsquo;re setting out to find our nest. The place we&rsquo;ll make our home for the rest of our lives. And speaking of the rest of your life&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />He patted her stomach...<br /><br />&ldquo;It&rsquo;s perfectly okay to be nervous with that too&hellip; Any of it. But you got me, don&rsquo;t you? And I have you&hellip; And soon we&rsquo;ll have more than just us. If we needed a fancy guild for that, then I got the wrong teachings eh?&rdquo;<br /><br />She glanced away shyly when he touched her middle, and then back&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;Noah&hellip;&rdquo;<br />&ldquo;Ah, save it a bit. I just realized if I don&rsquo;t get to the mess hall before it closes we&rsquo;re setting off without some of the good rations&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />He kissed her cheek&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;It&rsquo;ll be just a minute.&rdquo;<br /><br />She turned and watched him go, then looked back down at her open bag&hellip;<br /><br />...then she looked at the barely jutting middle next to it&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;...damn that otter&hellip; If this ends up coming out a Rockruff&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />She crossed her arms and began to pace&hellip; She settled her fist against her mouth with an intense, concentrated gaze that she only ever seemed to give in battle&hellip;<br /><br />To tell&hellip; Or not to tell&hellip;<br /><br />Not to tell? Why would she assume her little ones wouldn&rsquo;t share her species&hellip; Certainly Noah&rsquo;s if nothing else. The thought of it being born as a Rockruff was just an anxious, invasive thought that she had to focus away&hellip; Strange as the allure was...<br /><br />&ldquo;Of course, Illy. That would be a banner moment in the relationship.&rdquo;<br /><br />So the question was what to do about it?<br /><br />To tell.<br /><br />That would mean she&rsquo;d have to reveal that she and Dak&hellip; No. What Dak had done TO her&hellip; Right? It had been long enough that there was no way&hellip;<br /><br />Were Rockruffs slow growing? Were Dewotts, o-or rather, Oshawotts, or Froakie or...???<br /><br />&ldquo;DAMN that otter&hellip; So EAGER, and ALL of the time&hellip; And damn you too, Ilianna, for&hellip; much the same...&rdquo;<br /><br />She paused, as a tingle went up her spine.<br /><br /><br /><br />She whirled around to defend herself, but it was too late. Something hard hit her square in the forehead, and she went down&hellip;<br /><br />As her consciousness swirled in and out of foggy images, she felt herself being dragged along&hellip; Tucked into a crate&hellip; Carried somewhere&hellip;?<br /><br />She scented the ocean&hellip; <br /><br />And then fell into it, her mind swirling away in endless blue...<br /><br />===<br /><br />&ldquo;Ahhh&hellip; That took longer than I thought, Illy&hellip; But I got your fav&hellip; or&hellip;?&rdquo;<br /><br />He stepped into the room and then set the pack he held aside. His cheerful look suddenly dropped away, and his fur stood on end. His eyes darted over the scene repeatedly as he tried to figure out what about it said that something was wrong&hellip; Ilianna hadn&rsquo;t simply stepped out to the bathroom&hellip;<br /><br />He stalked forward&hellip; His face was a shallow, near expressionless mask of anxiety. He wasn&rsquo;t sure what he sensed, not immediately. He had to take in the scents&hellip; The&hellip; Elemental energy&hellip;<br /><br />He kicked the table over and sent its contents scattering over the floor. He didn&rsquo;t care. His gaze was now fixed on what he&rsquo;d unveiled...<br /><br />A stone, staked deliberately in the wooden flooring. He walked over and, with some effort, wrenched it up&hellip;<br /><br />His eyes were narrowed to pinpoints&hellip; The stone dripped a single drop of blood&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;...Ilianna&hellip;&rdquo;<br /><br />It quivered in his paw&hellip; Until it suddenly shattered violently with the pressure of his balled fist&hellip; It flung its shards into the walls and stuck there deeply...<br /><br />His paw dripped&hellip; He clenched, and ground the stones into his palm harder&hellip;<br /><br />His expression hadn&rsquo;t turned&hellip; But his eyes gleamed with a dangerous obsession&hellip;<br /><br />&ldquo;...Dakarai...&rdquo;<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></span>",
