The otter shaped demon continued to scribble in abyssal, scribble, because his hand wasn't entirely steady. Going back, a small while from now, the otter had been taking refuge in a cave outside of the city after his last attempt at staying in an in left the place burning to the ground. One day when he was walking through the market place, using a cloak and some degree of magic to hide himself while he bought the supplies he needed, parchment, ink, food and other things, spell requirements usually. There was... what could be best described as a gleeful squeal, he paid no mind to it, it wasn't anything to do with hi-glk!
Almost as if to fuck with the, so far unlucky demon a little more, the squealing was suddenly in his ear as something pressed up against his side. Shocked and a little startled, the red furred otter stumbled and fell onto his butt, blinking as his yellow iris's locked onto the pink eyes of the one standing so close to where he had been moments ago. "I... Uh... Hello?" he uttered, in confusion as he slowly pulled himself back up to his feet using the stall he'd been standing at, although he was aware eyes where now upon him, shit, people must've seen what he looked like under the cloak when he fell, his train of thoughts once again derailed by the one before him, but this time, by her voice.
"ohmygosh! I’ve never seen an otter like you before! what are you, half Demon? Devil? nah, gotta be demon. You know, I’ve been sailing for-mmph!" Alal leapt forward to close her lips, his eyes wide in shock and fear as he looked around them. "Shhhh! d-do you want the w-whole town to c-chase us!?" he whimpered, he'd been trying so hard to go unnoticed, but this otter was shattering that dream for the poor boy, only then did he noticed the sword to his neck, blinking as he looked at the thing, following it around to the girl's paw as he slowly let go of her muzzle. "Don't touch me unless I, want you to touch me, yes?" she said, her tone was different, more... authorative. Alal simply nodded, taking her in fully now, the girl wore a rather revealing lower half which clashed, not in colour, but in style with her much fancier, upper class doublet that she wore on top, the hat on her head was unique, nothing he'd ever seen before. "W-Who... are you?" he asked, while she slipped that sword back into its sheath on her hip.
"Oh! where are my manners, Berry! Captain Berry!" she said happily, extending her paw, which he took and kissed the back of cautiously. "My name's Alal-IMEANIT'SDEAN" he blurted, in a single breath as he mentally kicked himself for his slip up, still not used to this human name he'd chosen as he slowly backed away "Sooo... I’ll be on my way now, l-lovely to meet you Captain" he said, turning to leave. "Nope." she said, Alal looking back at her "Nope?" he asked. "Nope." she said again, blinking a little more "I... don't understand what's going on here..." he said, rubbing on the back of his head as he looked at her, now standing side on.
"Oh, it's simple, you said you're leaving, I said nope. C'mon" she simply said, grabbing his paw and dragging him off towards a ship in the distance...
