Arms are held around me just as I begin to regain consciousness. Roughly thrown, I let out a small yelp as my body hits the floor. I felt myself trying to get back up but was paralyzed with fear. I try to look back at the opening of which I fell through and see it slam shut. Footsteps walk further and further away as I listen around me. A door shuts and it isn't until then that I realize that I have been holding my breath. I begin to breathe in and out in short, small breaths, not sure if my captors were still in the area. I slowly but steadily sit up as I try to find out where I am.  A dirt floor, a bowl of gross looking water, it looks like I've been put in a cage. High enough where I could kneel if I put my ears down and barely enough space where I could lay. But who would possibly want to sleep in this dark and scary area? I try to look outside my fenced area. To the right I see an empty cage and to the left I see the form of someone laying there, curled up. In front of my cage I can only see the floor. Tears begin to form in my eyes as my legs are pulled up to my chest. My arms cross around my naked legs and body as my head hits my knees. The tears in my eyes had trailed down my white fur as I began to silently sob to myself. What's happening to me? What are they going to do to me? Will I ever get out of here? Will I ever see my family again? I jumped up scared as a warm paw touched my leg. I slowly turned my head to see that the form to my left had gotten up and reached his hand through the fence.  I wiped away the tears in my eyes to try and get a better look at him. It was a dull yellow fox with a bushy tail and dirt all over his fur. He was moving his paw slowly against my fur to try and calm me. His face was kind and understanding. It looked like there was a small scar on his left cheek. I felt a surge of tears overcome me once more as this stranger understood how I was feeling. He'd kept his hand there for who knows how long until my sobbing and crying had eventually stopped. The warm and comforting hand slipped away from me and began to retract back to the fox. But before it could get back through the fence, I quickly grabbed onto the hand, not wanting to feel alone again. The fennec didn't react at first, but then gripped onto my hand too. I didn't look at him. I just held on to someone that was there. Someone that was real. Tears constantly rolled down my cheeks as I was comforted by a total stranger. Millions of thoughts rolling through my mind once more. But again, the hand slipped away and went behind the fence. I immediately felt alone again. As if the entire world had just left me. That there was no world. Like I was doomed to total loneliness. A shuffling noise made me look back into the fox's cage to see him kneeling close to the cage. His large, bushy tail was slowly swaying behind him as his head to the side with a slight smile. At least I wasn’t the only naked one here. I got up and mirrored the same position, my bunny ears lowered behind me. We looked at each other for a bit, until our hands pressed against the fence, trying to hold each other's hands the best we could. We stared into each other's eyes as if to find out what the other was thinking. We didn’t talk to each other. There was no need to. Then we both slowly leaned forward, our eyes closing as our faces drew nearer. Before I knew it, we were kissing between the cages. I've never had this intimate a moment with anyone like this. But he understood me with no words. I could feel the amazing fireworks with this one kiss. I have no idea how long this lasted, but I know that I wanted it to never end. I kissed him again and again, amazing sensations running throughout my body. This must be what it feels like to have a first kiss.
