To remind everyone on the event, it's where I pair Amy Rose with the certain characters shown from the Sonic Channel 2023 pictures in interesting scenarios. It's to celebrate Amy Rose throughout the entirety of this year, so if you have a post you want to make on Amy yourself, whether they be in drawing or writing form, then be sure to use the keyword 'the_year_of_amy_rose_2023' if you wanna show me what you made of her. Now let's talk about the drawings I commissioned, starting with the 1st one. This is supposed to represent the single character wallpaper drawing for the month, that being Dr. Eggman. Now there's a couple reasons why I didn't go with pairing Amy with him, 1 is that for IB's TOS that I can't display human characters on here, and 2 is that honestly I don't see a good scenario happening between the 2 of them, so I went with a replacement that I felt fit with this event, especially when we see 2 variants of the same character
Thorn Rose: from Sonic Prime, she's the Boscage Maze variant of Amy Rose. This is supposed to signify the last video from the TeamUwU Sonic Characters VS DeviantArt, Google, etc. series where both Amy and Thorn looked at DeviantArt together, as we finally completed showing the ships from that series altogether, unless more gets made within the Chaotix Crew era, we will never know for sure. The scenario I decided for this drawing is that we have Amy show Thorn what it's like to gain pleasure, in a more modern way as compared to the jungle-type way, so Amy decided to stick a vibrator toy in Thorn's pussy and have her feel what it's like. For Thorn, I'd say she's enjoying it but she doesn't know how to feel about it. I held off from commissioning this piece initially, because I don't like to put in characters who are either new, have yet to gain a somewhat big fanbase, or in a Sonic show where it's not complete yet, but I made an exception for this case here, after seeing that bbmbbf already drew Thorn before, and that Sonic Prime is gaining massive traction after the release of their respective seasons. This is a definite favorite I'll look back on for sure
The 2nd and final drawing we have here is taken from the calendar drawing showcasing Cream the Rabbit and Big the Cat. When you look at it, we have a Team Rose reunion for this picture! So the scenario I have here will be a foreshadowing to the future. If you remember the Mario & Sonic Olympic Series, you would know what I'm talking about. Amy's a playable character in that series, while Cream & Big act as side characters and/or officials. I decided that we have them do some practice in preparation for the main event coming up, with Amy running around the track, and Cream and Big are there to give her their support and to help out, by having Cream with a stopwatch to keep track of her laptimes and Big waving the checkered flag. Another favorite I might add, especially since I requested for Amy's accessories to be from her olympics outfit to keep with the theme here, also Idk if you could tell but she is sweating from the workout. I guess she's really motivated hehe
And those are the drawings I have for this set of this event. We're about to reach the end of the year real soon, so there are only 2 more sets to go to complete this event. I'm so glad I did this as a way to celebrate Amy Rose (my favorite Sonic girl character), especially with the unrealization until it came that we celebrated Amy being around for 30 years, since her debut back in Sonic CD released in 1993. Hopefully when the last month comes around, Sonic Channel will release some neat characters I can pair Amy up with.
