Been wanting to put something on my profile for a while now but wasn't sure what I'd post for one, and haven't had anything I could really post aside from maybe writing something up.\nThought this would be a fun thing to write up, and it could help make new roleplay buddies or friends, so heres a little write up for my monkey kid fursona Lou, and the sort of micro-setting I put together for him.\n------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nLou Tekoda (Also goes by Louie Tekoda) varies greatly in age really, lately I enjoy rping him between the ages of 4-5, and 7-8. 7-8 is typically my default but 4 can be very cute and fun when I'm in the mood for it! He's a young monkey boy who lives out in the forest, his setting is a sort of lighthearted basic fantasy setting. It's nothing crazy really, the main fantasy aspect is the magic in the land he lives on, and the loving little fairies who've watched over him since he was a baby.\nHe had been lost or abandoned shortly after birth, and the fairies of the forest found him in their domain. It was abundantly clear that the little guy wouldn't survive if they just left him there to fend for himself, [i]he can't fend for himself.[/i] So they decided to take the young boy back with them to the main pond that they lived at, with water that heals weary travelers and stops older children from further aging. (The cut-off point would probably be 10-11, then you stop aging, think like a more specific fountain of youth lol, but theres no reason you wouldn't be able to stop aging at a younger age like Lou might have of course. There are also AR properties to it when I'm in that kind of mood. ^^) They would raise him here, and he'd grow up to be a happy healthy boy, and start helping out by serving as a guardian of the forest with them, which isn't particularly hard, but is still honourable work!\nIt mostly consists of keeping the forest and waterways clean, which is probably how he found quite a few of his toys, and looking after or guiding lost travelers, Lou mostly keeps an eyeout for other children who may need help like he did, along with his ulterior motive of wanting new pals to play with!\n\nA major part of this setting and Lou's character [s]aside from my own immense self-indulgence[/s] is the theme of freedom and childhood, along with the love of nature even in a somewhat primal state, or in Lou's case a better way to put it is the love of nature and being a part of it, being part of the ecosystem ya know?\nWhat would it be like to live your life outside? Inside, it looks half like a typical boys room, half like a zoo enclosure, with his bed taking the form of a big pile of hay and straw with blankets, pillows, and stuffed toys on it in varying states of disarray. Theres some shelves, a lantern, random books and the like, his painted hand and footprints stamped about on the walls inside and out, with random designs joining them as well. The same hand and footprints can also be found outside on random large rocks and boulders that may be scattered about as well.\nLou keeps a bucket of water next to his bed for drinking usually, otherwise going outside to take his baths in the pond, or other bathroom matters at the edge of the wider woods so everywhere else stays clean of course. The pond has one more interesting property for little Lou, swimmers may eventually notice they can breath in this water without drowning. Lou's fairies had the foresight to do this because otherwise, tiny monkey lungs in a tiny monkey, [i]wont do very well underwater.[/i]\nPlus it'd be ironic if you could drown to death in a healing pond lol, so to prevent harm to Lou while he's running around, or to others who happen upon their domain, they've made it so that you can't drown in their sacred waters.\nLou enjoys taking advantage of this by relaxing at the bottom of their pond and looking up at the pretty sun filtering through the waves above.
