It latches onto a host and overrides the nervous system through the elbows, kneecaps, spinal cord and the medula oblongata. The subject is usually dead at this point. Once it claims a host, the Snatcher's extremities linked through the elbows grow up the forearm and burst through the fingers, creating large sharp claws which it uses with deadly efficiency.\n\nThe mouth of the Snatcher is latched down on the host's head. Part of this is to allow it to feed on the now useless brain - believed to be the most delectable part to the Snatcher - and to complete the link it has to the host's nervous system. A side effect are involuntary twitches and convulsions, particularly in the face, creating extremely bloodied, tortured expressions that are entirely involuntary, but definitely leave a lasting impression on survivors.\n\nIt's not currently known how long it takes for the Snatcher to exhaust the host's body of all useful nutrients. When it breaks away, it does so literally, breaking contact with the nonvital ends of its own limbs, which it grows back in minutes. The host crumbles up into a mass of exposed bones and joints. The cycle of its life it does not spend searching for a new host, it uses the host as a puppet to kill any potential host it can find.
