But to their neighbors they are known as an art and music loving people. \nPottery, clothing and mosaics made by the Ithaka are very popular and highly sought after in their neighboring lands, and it's said that most of the most famous songs and dances were written and invented by them.\n\nLumia is one of the many daughters of the Ithaki queen. She isn't the eldest, but she is regarded as the most talented of her sisters. At least when it comes to her singing and musical talents. Her instrument of choice is a pipa, due to its beautiful, gentle, and almost sad, sounding tones, and is very rarely seen without it on her person. \n\nDue to their location, the Ithaka got a near first hand view of the utter massacre of the kingdom of Rhadija, as well as their allied nation, the Auron. \nFearing that their demise would be next the Ithaka sent a message of peace, begging that their lands be spared of the bloodshed that befell Rhadija and Auron. Willing to give the budding warlord anything he demanded.\nAnd demand he did; he wanted their complete obedience and loyalty, their lands, their soldiers, their treasures, and one of the most important females as collateral. To make sure they upheld their end.\nIt was either that, or annihilation. \n\nThe Ithaki queen, albeit begrudgingly, submitted to all but one of his demands: she couldn't possibly give one of her precious daughters to him. But Lumia, wanting to spare her mother from the painful choice and her sisters from the horrifying fate, stepped out of line and volunteered herself.\nAnd Shomari wasted no time showing her exactly what she would be in for in his service. But at least she wasn't the only one...\n\nThe daily abuse she suffered in Shomari's service was harder on her psyche than her body, but having always been a pretty strong and resilient girl she tried to not let him affect her too visibly.\nIt wasn't until some time after Salena joined, that something happened to the other girl.
