Chapter 4: Alex's Fury

Alex in his hooded coat appears once again and says as he floats upside down, “I just want to take a moment to say something. You see when this story of mine was first written the arcs of the story had a theme song to them, something to help set the tone.”
he goes on as he rights his orientation, “for those who are interested in the theme for the arc we are in now and those of the up coming arcs I’ll take a moment before the start to let you know.
This Arc’s theme is Heroes of are Time by the band Dragonforce, here, if you want to listen to it use my gem here. With that said lets get on with the show shall we?” he snaps his fingers and he fades into a white mist.A ray of light shines across Sara’s face, which ends up waking the young fox cub; at which point she stretches and roles over expecting to feel the familiar warmth of her brother sleeping beside her. She does grab onto a body and pulls herself closer to cuddle, but she then realizes that it wasn't her brother. opening one eye, she looks over and sees Crystal who sleeps quietly beside her, then down at the blanket noticing that only Crystal and herself are there. She gently sits up in the bed and looks around the room where she spots Alex as he lays on the floor next to the fire pit. She gets out of bed and says, “why would he sleep on the floor, we would have made room for him.”
She sits next to him as he shivers in his sleep; clearly the night was colder then the young cub had expected, if not for the fire he surely would have frozen. She gives a little smile before laying down next to her brother, cuddling next to him to help warm him up which leads to him waking up; opening an eye as his sister giggles lightly. He then asks as he notices her on the floor with him, cuddling into his back, “uh . . Sara what are you doing??” She says as she gives him a cute little kiss on the cheek, “warming you warm mister, I’m to shy to share a bed with two girls.”
Alex sits up and says in an embarrassed protest, “it’s a small bed Sara, and you and I hardly fit in it, half of the time I wake up and your sprawled out on top of me . . . It wouldn’t have been . . . . . . Uh . . . Proper.” Sara asks with another giggle; clearly not buying his excuse, “Ooooh and since when have you ever worried about being proper huh and I don‘t think you mind me sprawling out on top of you, I felt your. . .” He blushes and quickly cups her mouth closed and says, “I told you that was not what you think it is, it happens every morning.” She laughs then goes on as she too sits up, ready to pounce on her older brother, “Oh I know why, its because your in love with her!” Alex in a frenzied panic quietly shouts as he cuffs his hand around his sisters muzzle yet again, “I do not! . . . And hush you’ll wake her up.” Sara giggles but at that moment Crystal wakes and slowly stretches herself, arching her back and stretching her legs as far as they’d go; then opens her eyes and sits up.
Alex asks as she turns over to them, Sara now biting her brothers arm, “hey Crystal . . . . Did you sleep well?” She nods then asks looking just a tad bit confused as to what they were doing, “yeah, I was a little cold though.” Sara says with a grin as she looks over at Alex, “maybe you would have been warmer if Alex was laying on to . .” Alex, bright red, quickly pounces on his little sister then shouts in a panic to change the subject, “SOOOO are you hungry, we can go get some breakfast!” Crystal nods then gets up out of bed, Alex getting redder and looking away as what remains of her torn and tattered clothes start to fall off of her. She holds her clothes together, blushing as more pieces fell, she then walks over to Alex as he gets off of Sara and says; staring at the far wall in a desperate attempt to keep himself from staring at her rapidly becoming nude body, “we’ll also need to see if we can get you some new clothes, yours seem to have had it.” He lets out a nervous chuckle as she blushes looking down at the tattered remains what clothing she had managed to keep on herself.
Sara takes a closer look at Crystal’s shirt, which appeared to have fresh claw marks on it and asks, “hey wait, her shirt looks like someone tore it more . . What happened??” Alex says with a laugh, as he skirts around the room; a bright shade of red filling his face despite his already red fur, “well lets just say you get very clingy when you fall asleep, the other day you dug into my arm because I tried to roll over.” Sara says as she stands up, rubbing her arm a little, “Oh, I’m sorry Crystal.” She says with a smile, patting her head a little, “its ok Sara, this wasn’t hiding anything anyways” She hears Alex who shouts out in pain, then rubbing his foot; he had slammed his foot into their dresser as he heard Crystal talk about the state of her clothing. She then looks up at Alex as he holds out one of his only clean outfits and says, now looking at the ceiling, “I know its boys clothes . . . . But its . . . Its all we have that will fit you . . . Soo uhh, its . . .its my best outfit soo . . .”
Crystal Smiles at Alex who is now looking at his feet, clearly trying with every fiber of his being to keep from staring at her all but naked form; trying to be a gentlemen. She then takes the clothing from him and says, “Thank you Alex.” She then turns around just a little bit and says grabbing a hold the bottom of her shirt, “ok I’m going to get changed now so, uh, don’t look ok.” Alex nods stiffly, he truly was giving his all in his attempt at not staring at her but the second he heard her shirt land on the floor, his eyes opened wide. He slowly starts to turn his head around but the second Crystals powder blue fur came into his eyesight, Sara says as she jumps on him covering his eyes with her hands, “No peeking pervert!” Alex says in a slight panic as he tries to shake off Sara; clearly trying to use this as an attempt to, accidentally, see Crystal’s sure to be naked body, “I’m not a pervert and get off of me!” Sara Giggles as she continues to cover his eyes then says, “Ooh then why are you trying to get me off so badly??? I bet you want to take a peek don’t you, you naughty boy you.”
Crystal then says as Alex tries to remove his laughing sister from his face, “Its ok Sara, you can let him go” Sara gets off of him and as he finally looks over at her, his face fills with a look disappointment to see that Crystal is now dressed in the outfit Alex had handed to her; a faded pair of black pants, her blue tail sticking out a hole in the seat of the paints, and a scruffy looking red shirt which went surprisingly well with her power blue fur. She fixes a little metal circlet back into her hair, Alex’s jaw hanging open a little with a mixed look of both disappointment and awe on his face; Sara giggles as she closes her brothers mouth. Crystal asks as she walks over to the door, “so what are we doing for breakfast??”
Sara says as she walks outside with her, “well on Sunday Mr. Miller treats us to breakfast so we’re going over to his house.” Alex stands as he hears them outside, then with a grin on his face walks over to where Crystal left what was left of her clothing. Quietly he picks up the tattered remains of her shirt and her pants and decides to take a quick sniff of said shirt. He finds her scent on the tattered rags much to his delight, now holding the shirt and taking a much deeper whiff of her shirt; to his horror, they walk back into the house spot him with her discarded clothing. Sara asks as he turns to the girls with her shirt in hand, “Brother . . . What are you doing???” Alex says in a panic as he tries to make up an excuse; not wanting Crystal to think him a freak or a pervert or something, “I . I . I Was just picking it up off the floor . . . . . . . Sooo that they don’t get . . . Dirty! . . yea dirty, see?” he places the shirt on the table then smiles nervously, hoping that she had bought it.
Sara says as she grins at her brother who was now hiding Crystal tattered pants behind his back, “I don’t think she cares, besides they’re torn to pieces, I don’t think she’ll be wearing them any time soon.” Alex looks all over the room clearly trying to think of another excuse, but Crystal then looks down at Sara with a smile and then gives a slight nod, Alex then looks on as both girls leave the house. Alex lets out a deep sigh of relief, he turns toward the bed, quickly looking over his shoulder to make sure that the girls weren’t in the doorway before giving the pants he had tried to hide an almost desperate sniffing. He then smiles and puts the pants on the bed and walks outside to join the girls, who look on as he puts the chain and pendant on around his neck.
He asks as he looks at the girls, Sara of whom is giggling, “ok . . Who’s hungry?” They both raise there hands then follow Alex as he walks down the dirt path. Crystal looks on as Sara picks flowers while they walk along the dirt path, She asks as she looks over at Alex, “so when you said Mr. Miller treats you to breakfast what did you mean?” Alex says with a smile, "his friend owns a Ca’oon* on the other side of town, So he takes us for the Sunday breakfast special." Sara says with a smile as she gives a little spin, "and they always have something yummy on the specials menu."
They continue to walk down the path, then suddenly Alex grabs something from the air as it just about hits Crystal in the head. They all look over at a group of kids all with rocks in hand, standing up on the hill. Sara runs behind Alex who shouts, “what do you all want?!?” One boy says as he picks up another rock, “you know that fire you started in my dad’s store the other day caused a bit of damage, do you know how much my dad had to pay to replace what you burnt??” Alex says as the rock in his hand burst into flames, “Well maybe if your dad wasn’t so quick to throw rocks at kids then it wouldn’t have happened!” The boy says as he gets ready to throw another rock, a clear tone of disgust in his words, “and now you have this little blue outcast with you, like you don’t have enough problems already.”
The Boy tosses another rock only to be caught by Alex who glares at the boy as the other rock ignites in his hand turning molten. Just as he is about to throw the molten chunks at the group of bullies, both Sara and Crystal grab one of his hands, Sara says as she looks up at him, “come on brother there not worth it.” Crystal nods in agreement and Alex sighs then drops the rocks which go out cooling and hardening instantly. Alex nods then continues down the path with Sara and Crystal, the group of boy’s standing on the hill making a fuss and shouting obscenities as Alex, Sara, and Crystal walk out of earshot. Once they continue down the dirt path Alex says clearly fuming about the bullies, “god I hate those guys maybe if I set them on fire once then they’d leave us alone.”
As they reach Mr. Millers house Crystal says, pulling herself closer to him, “well I think it was very big of you that you just walked away instead of falling to their level.” Sara nods as she hugs her brothers side, then walking up on the porch Alex knocks on the door then asks, “mister Miller are you awake??” The old fox responds from the inside of his home, A tapping on the floor as he walks to the door, “oh yes just one second children.” They hear him walk over to the door then undo some kind of latch, He then steps out of the house wearing a casual looking suit. He says as he looks down at them, “I bet your all hungry, well let us not tarry, breakfast is calling us.” They all nod, he then says as he grabs a cane from a bin next to the door, “alright lets go, I’ve been told by Eric that today’s special is roasted duck mixed with Scrambled eggs in dumplings with a side of sweet and sour sauce.” Sara says as she licks her lips, tail waving back and forth in excitement, “OH Yum I cant wait!”
Mr. Miller chuckles as he locks his door then leads the way as he and the cubs walk along the path till it reaches a stone road. They then continue down the road, the sound of Mr. Millers cane on the rock echoing off the building. Once they reach a building near the end of the road the smell of roast duck fills the air, Crystal says as her mouth beings to water, “oh wow, that smells so good.” Mr. Miller says with a grin as he leads the way to the door, “yes Eric is one damn fine cook, I remember the day he came to me asking if I would be willing to invest in this vary restaurant and after I tasted his first dish I knew it was a smart investment.” They walk into the restaurant where they are greeted by a woman who’s red fur is hidden behind a white apron and a blue bandana which was tied over her head. She says with a smile, “Hello there Welcome to SilverTray may I get you a table?”
Mr. Miller says as he walks up to her, “Marry its good to see you today, is your husband in?” She says with a smile as she realizes who it is, “Oh Daniel I didn’t even notice it was you, here let me show you to a table and I’ll let Eric know that you’re here.” She leads the group to a large table near a window then as they take there seats she hands them some menus and says, “I’ll go get Eric for you, I’m sure he’ll want to say hello.” They nod as she walks away and into the kitchen. Sara says as she grabs her Brothers arm, “ooh remember last week when the Sunday special was that yummy pasta with the Hard boiled eggs diced into it?” Alex says with a smile as he remembers, “oh yeah that was so good.” A fox says as he walks up to the table, “well I’m glad you enjoyed it, a chief is always happy to hear that his food is enjoyed”
They all look over to see a fox who is wearing a white apron that has a silver Tray embroidered on the front and a white hat that covers most of his head; Mr. Miller stands then gives him a friendly hug. He then says as he once again takes his seat, “Eric how are you doing today?” He says with a proud look on his face, “oh its been vary good, we’ve only been open for four hours and we’ve already seated about forty people.” Mr. Miller says with a smile, “I’ve noticed, looks like your food is really getting popular.” Eric says as he looks over at the others, “so who do we have here?” Mr. Miller says looking back at the cubs with him at the table, “well Alex and Sara you know . . And this lovely young lady is Crystal, Young Alex here saved her from a group of hunters down in the valley yesterday” He bow’s then gives Crystals hand a little kiss then says, “this is a good day, my vary first arctic customer.” Crystal smiles then says as she smells the food in the air,
“your restaurant smells wonderful, I cant wait to eat.”
He nods as he says, taking out a pad of paper, “well thank you, you know none of this would be here if it wasn’t for Daniel here. He gave me five hundred medalins so I could open this very shop, but enough of the history lesson what can I make for you today?” Mr. Miller says as he takes a look at the menu, “so guys what do you think the roast duck and egg dumplings??” Sara says as she almost jumps out of here seat in excitement, “Yeah, yeah!” Alex and Crystal nod in agreement, the old fox then says, “looks like it will be four orders of the house special and for the drinks I would like the Sun rise tea and a cup of coffee.” He nods then looks over to Alex who says, “I would like a glass of orange juice please.” Sara says as she looks at her menu, “hey Mr. Eric what’s
cotem* tea?” Crystal asks with a slight look of surprise, “you have cotem tea??” He nods then says, “yeah I’ve been studying some Artic fox dishes for sometime now seeing if I could expand my menu a bit with some more exotic foods and found the recipe for cotem tea in an old recipe book. Perhaps this is more then just chance, you could tell me if I’ve done it right.” Crystal asks as she puts down her menu, “could I get a glass of cotem tea then?” Sara says with a smile, “oh me too please?”
He nods then says as he finishes writing the order down the pad of paper, “so four orders of the special, one sun rise tea and a cup of coffee, one orange juice and two cotem teas. is that right?” Alex says looking over at him, “could you make my drink a cotem tea too?” He nods then says, “alright we’ll get to work on your order right away.” He smiles, shaking Mr. Millers hand, then walks back to the kitchen where he gives the order to the other cooks as the door close.
~some time later~Mr. Miller looks up as a server walks over with a tray containing several plates of food and several glass cups full of there drinks, “oh that does smells lovely doesn’t it?” Alex nods in agreement then says, “I’ll second that.” The server hands out the plates then puts the glasses on the table then says before he walks away, “I do hope you all enjoy your meal.” Mr. Miller then picks up a fork and a knife and cuts one of his dumplings then says after the finishes the bite of food, “oh wow, This is great, he’s really out done himself this time.” Alex looks at his own plate then with his mouth watering and grabs one of his dumplings and takes a big bite of it. As he swallows his mouthful of food Sara says, slapping his hand, “Hey that’s rude!” Alex motions toward Crystal who is doing the same thing only more politely. Crystal says as she swallows a mouthful of food, “oh WOW this is SOOO good, its soo spicy yet sweet and . . .”
She swoons as she dips what’s left of her first dumpling in her bowl of sweet and sour sauce before eating the rest. Mr. Miller says as he smiles, “those hunters must not have fed you much my dear, do try to slow down a little don’t want to get sick now.” She shakes her head no then says as she finishes off her first dumpling, “the only reason they fed me at all was because who ever they were going to sell me to wanted me alive.” Mr. Miller says as he swallows, “I’ve heard rumors that when the hunters sell us foxes its always to make them slaves be it for physical labor, or in the case of females for illegal sexual establishments.” Crystal nods as she says, “yeah I got the jest of what they were planning to do with me from their actions. . . If Alex hadn’t saved me when he did right now I would most likely be . . . .” She shutters then shakes her head with a look of disgust on her face.
~a little bit of time later~Mr. Miller says as he uses a cloth napkin to wipe a bit of sweet and sour sauce from the gray fur on his lower jaw, “well that was a good breakfast, maybe a little rich for someone of my age, but I did enjoy it.” The others nod in agreement as Mary walks over and asks, “well did you all enjoy your meal? They nod as Crystal says, “oh vary much, will you give your husband my complements, and tell him his cotem tea was spot on.” She nods then says as Eric walks over drying his hands on a towel from a pocket of his apron, “looks like the roast duck dumplings where a hit dear, and your tes turned out right after all.” He says with a smile looking at everyone at the table, “that’s good to know, we’ve sold so many of them this morning that I might have to add it to the menu permanently.” They stand Mr. Miller then asking as he sets his hand on Eric‘s shoulder, “so how much do we owe you for the meal?” Eric says as he puts his hand on Mr. Miller’s shoulder, “Come on Daniel, I told you last time that you don’t need to pay me; you’ve given me enough as it is.” Mr. Miller chuckles with a nods then says giving his hand a wave through the air, “I know you said that but still I’d feel like I was robbing you, especially after a meal that good.”
Eric says with a laugh as he pats Mr. Millers shoulder again, “HA, HA always the with the flattery eh Daniel, but I insist your as much an owner of this place as I am, your money is no good here.” Mr. Miller says with a laugh of his own, “well Eric if, you insist, but tomorrow I want you and your wife to come over for some of my mothers famous Midnight tea.” Mary says with a smile shaking his hand, “it’s a deal Daniel, I look forward to it.”
She gives him a hug before walking back over to the front door were a few new groups foxes stand waiting to be seated. As Mr. Miller and the others stand, he hugs Eric then heads toward the front door with Alex and the others behind him. Eric says as he watches them leave, “come back when ever you want Daniel don’t be a stranger.” Eric walks over to Alex then says as he puts his hand on Alex’s shoulder, “I heard about that little incident in town the other day, tell you what, I need someone to help keep the SliverTray clean maybe move the crates of vegetables to the refrigerator before we close up at night, you want the job? Pays three medalins an hour.” Alex nods then says as he shakes his hand, “I’ll be here first thing tomorrow.”
Eric nods then waves as Alex and the others walk outside leaving the chief to go back to his work. Once a little ways down the road, Sara gives her brother a kiss then says, “you got a job big brother, I know dad would be proud of you.” Alex nods as a big smile makes its way across his face, then as they get closer to the path that leads to Mr. Millers house he stops then says as he hands Alex a bag of coins, “ok Alex, I want you to go take these girls shopping, perhaps Crystal here would like to get some new clothing.” Alex says as he tries to give the bag of coins back, “I cant take your money Mr. Miller.” He laughs as he says putting the bag in Alex‘s hand and folding his fingers closed, “oh you are your fathers son, he wouldn’t take money from any one even if it would mean he’d lose his foot. Tell you what take it as a loan, you can pay me back on your first payday.” Alex smiles then says shaking his hand, “Thanks Mr. Miller I’ll pay you back I promises, after all I have a job now.”
He nods and waves goodbye then continues down the path to his house. Alex then turns to the girls and says holding out the bag of coins, “Looks like we’re going shopping then.” They both nod then grab Alex’s arms and pull him towards the closest clothing store.
~some time later(i would have written this scene but it would have made the chapter huge sorry if anyone is disappointed :( ~Alex Looks over at the girls as they look at there new clothing, Crystal in a black dress that went past her knees, just an inch or two, and Sara in a pink dress, with black buckle shoes, in the sunlight. He says as he puts the bag with the remaining coins in his pocket, “you two look good.” Crystal says with a smile walking closer to him, “Thanks Alex” Both girls grab one of Alex’s hands as they walk down the road toward the dirt path that leads to their home, how ever suddenly an Explosion is heard. Alex says as they turn to see where it came from, “what the hell was that?!? Crystal says as she cowers behind Alex, “It must be the Hunters who else would use explosives. Did they come for me? Am I really so valuable that they’d attack a town just to get me back?”
Alex says as he looks at both of the terrified girls, “come on lets get you two somewhere safe.” They both nod then closely follow after him as they hurry through the side streets.
After some time of running they make it to an Old house, it was large, almost like a small mansion. Sara asks as he leads them to a small opening in the wall hidden behind some old dead bushes, “brother what is this place??” He says as he leads them into a hidden path in the crawlspace that leads into the house; the inside itself looking as if it had not to have been lived in, in years, “this was our home . . . When mom and dad were still alive. . . .” He says as he leads them to one of the rooms of the house clearly some kind of safe room, “you two stay here, I’m going to see if there’s any way I can help.” Sara says as she clings to his arm, fear filling her face, “wait what if they come here?” He says with a smile, then hitting the door of the room, a solid metal ringing as he does, “don’t worry sis I’ll be back soon and this is a safe room, mom and dad built it for this very reason, there is no safer place in the whole village.”
They both nod watching him disappear out of the room, closing the door behind him. Going back though the whole they entered from Alex looks as smoke fills the air from the explosives the hunters have been using. He looks back at the house, knowing his sister and Crystal were safely hidden inside and then nods, dashing toward the main gate.
~a short time later~Alex stops as he hears the sound of fighting. He turns the corner and sees several of the town guard fighting with the hunters. Alex burst into flames as he charges into the fight jumping into the air and kicking one hunter in the head allowing the guard to run him though with his sword. As the guard nods at him with a smile, gun fire is heard. The guards turn to go to where it came from, but as Alex tries to follow after him, he hears a scream in the back of his mind. Alex yells as he turns toward the house, “Sara!?!?! SARA!!”
Alex starts to run toward it, but the house explodes setting the whole area up in flames. Alex’s jaw almost hit’s the ground as he sees the house go up in flames, he runs as fast as his legs can carry him as he hurries to the house which is now fully engulfed in fire. As he reaches the front to the house he charges into it braking it down. He yells as he makes his way to the room he left them in,
Alex: SARA, CRYSTAL are you here?!? say something!!!
Alex starts to cough as the smoke over takes him. In desperation he holds his hand up, the flames suddenly shooting over to him. As all the fire gathers in his hand he quickly snuffs it out with the other. Alex looks up as the room falls a level; the fire had badly damaged the already dilapidated house, it was going to fall down at this rate. A huge amount dirt and dust is kicked into the air with the ash from the burnt wood as the floor caves in and sends everything into the floor below. Alex manages to dig himself up out of the rubble as the sound of a man chuckling reaches his ears. He looks over he sees the hunter holding Crystal against him, his forearm pressed against her neck. He says as Alex looks at him, “its not every day I find a beast that makes me want to learn his language.” Alex says as he stands, looking the man in the eye, “Let Crystal go now!! what have you done with my sister?!?” The Hunter says as he clubs Crystal in the stomach dropping the young vixen like a rotten log, “no, I’m afraid I can’t do that, she is worth quiet a sum of gold to me you see, and as for your sister . . I was tempted to take her too, I could have gotten something for her, but it looks like that ship has set sail.”
He points over to a corner of the room where Alex sees something laying on the ground. He walks closer, but then his heart sinks, he drops to the floor as he sees that it is Sara lifeless body on the ground covered in dirt, ash, and soot her fur charred a little bit. Alex says as he shakes her tears filling his eyes, “come on sis get up this isn’t funny . . .” The hunter chuckles as Alex continues to try and wake Sara, not wanting to realize it was a moot point. He says as Alex starts to cry, “don’t bother she’s very much dead, little brat tried to run past the explosive as it was going off, no doubt trying to get to you.” Alex glares at the hunter then says as he burst into flames, “I’ll KILL YOU!!!!”
Alex tries to attack the man, but he smacks the cub in the back of the head with the handle of his gun. The hunter says as he puts the barrel of the gun to the back of Alex’s head, “I wonder how much I could get for you, with all the energy, you would make good slave labor . . after that temper of yours is thoroughly beaten out of you that is.” He moves his thumb to the hammer of the gun and says, “perhaps your to much trouble, the feisty ones always are; you’d be worth more as research.” He pulls the trigger as Alex moves sending one of the bullets into his right shoulder. He moves the gun back to Alex’s head but as he cocks the gun again, a fully cloak figure busts into the room sending the hunter flying through a wall and into the street below. Alex looks up and as he looks at the hooded figure and says, “thanks, you saved me.”
The figure who is hidden within a pure white cloak nods and as he turns a red tail is shown for but a moment and is then hidden in the cloak once again. The fox then bends down and picks up Crystal, much to Alex’s anger, saying as he tries to stand, “Hey wait what are you doing with her?? put her down!!!!” The hooded fox doesn’t respond he only turns to Alex with Crystal in his arms then vanishes. Alex sits there in both pain and sorrow, he then looks over at Sara and makes his way back over to her. He falls to his knees he says as tears fall from his eyes, grabbing up Sara and pulling her into a hug, “Sara . . . . Forgive me. I shouldn’t have left you . . “
Alex starts to cry gripping her more tightly, not noticing a shadowy hand as it forms on his shoulder. He looks up as he hears a voice say, “They took her away didn’t they.” Alex nods as he closes both of his eyes, the dark voice going on to say, “how would you like to avenge her death?” The voice says from the other side of Alex’s head, “Eye for an Eye.” Alex asks as he looks up, “what!?! how??”
The voice says as Alex suddenly clutches his chest in pain, “GIVE IN!!! Surrender yourself to your hate and become the monster you were born to be!”
As the voice finishes its dark statement, Suddenly The older, hooded Alex pulls attention away as everything changes, saying as he carries Crystal in his arms, “I know what your thinking, I just interfered with the events of the past, rest assured I was meant to do so.” He sets her down next to a tree and says as he looks over the hill at the town, which was still burning, “this day was the day it started, it was the beginning of the end of my world, and I was its downfall.” He lowers his hood as he goes on to say, “seeing my baby sister like that was to much, the mental trauma tore my mind apart, and as such when it awoke, I was in no condition to resist.”
Looking over to the town a loud darkened roar suddenly fills the air, pulsations of pure evil energy visible to the naked eye erupt from the town, then suddenly, it explodes it pitch black fire. From the flames a figure jumps into the sky, huge skeletal wings carrying it into the air as it began attacking any living thing in its path. Alex goes on to say, “this day, I became the greatest threat my world ever knew, but I was far from the worst, the darkest was yet to come, and I was going to be his usher.”
