Originally he was invented as a plot element for a side story for Tray, however after several similar characters were rejected in the remake they were combined into this guy. All the characters that make up components of this character's design were created by Archie. They were very much lovable characters but very samey and somewhat lacking in many areas. When this combination was formed everything slipped into place and it all made sense. We have permission from Archie by the way. However being a character on the side rather than part of the overall plot meant the character got little development. People thought it wasn't fair that the lonely character should just be tossed away in sake of the main plot so multiple alternatives were proposed to ensure Uno was not alone. Rather than picking one we left it up to the player to choose the best way of ending the situation, either by finding a solution or by finding a way in which the babysitter could continue to visit despite being involved with the main plot. Yo may notice that Uno's problem is discussed but what problem is is never explained. That's because there were multiple ideas of what that problem should be. Since they were all watertight it was decided that they would all be used and the game would choose which problem he had each time you started a new run. Also, since the type of problem may effect other random elements in the game, you might have to play through many times to get the right combination of random events.
