He tried to recall every single good memory he had with each one of his friends and family, but each time he could remember something the memory would be son replaced by a dark one of them saying just how much they were disgusted about him… how he didn’t even deserved the same air they were breathing, that one memory made the others useless, that was enough motivation to not look back again, it was… his detonating if you could call it somehow, in any case the deal was done and he didn’t really felt like it was bad… he couldn’t even feel anything anymore.\n\nShredder saw Leonardo walking calmly to him, he tried to find any sign of doubt in his eyes, but his dull stare seemed to not feel fear nor regret about the situation. That was good for him after all.\n\n“Are you ready to die, turtle?” Asked Shredder with his usual tone.\n\n“I am ready” Leo simply answered hearing in his head the cold statement everyone did to him once and again. He would be finally able to be free… he would finally let go his pain and sadness –that if there was any left there-\n\n“Then let us proceed” the other added, near the place a Young female kunoichi contemplated the scene both, surprised and confused, she didn’t get to understand why he was in that place or what he could possibly be doing there to start with.\n\n“Hey!” She called Fishface.\n\n“Oh? So why would he…?\n\n“There is no trick nor mistake” added the mutant tiger coming in slowly.\n\n“Tell me what you know!” Demanded the black haired girl.\n\n“I swore not to say anything about, but what I can tell you is that you can thank the rat and the other turtles for making poor decisions” If Karai didn’t knew better she could almost tell TC was… sad? Worried? She didn’t knew certainly, but what she did know that whatever the story was it was related to the Hamato Clan as always.\n\n“What did they do to him?!”Karai asked for not saying yelled.\n\n“They destroyed his life” after this simply but meaningful phrase Tiger Claw walked in the same direction his master did.\n\nKarai was mad, no, that word was not enough to express the extend of her rage… she had a deep respect for Leonardo, not only he was her toy, he also was the only reason why she made it alive in several occasions and now he looked so broken and numb as if he was just an empty shell. She always though that it was interesting to see a family so tied to each other and now it seemed as if everything was just a lie. She decided to chase after them fast. She will try to stop him from this madness and if she couldn’t at least not have that heavy feeling that she didn’t tried.\n\nAs Shredder went to prepare everything Leo stayed standing in that place without really say something, Karai then came to make her approach.\n\n“You don’t have to do this, you know?” She added coming to him obtaining no response. “You can always join the Foot and show them whom is the boss“\n\n“The pain I bear with is too much… but thanks for the offer” Simply added Leonardo without turn.\n\n“Then leave them! Forget about them!” Exclaimed Karai getting more frustrated.\n\n“… Karai?” Called softly the blue banded turtle.\n\n“What?!” Questioned the girl.\n\n“… arigatou… honto arigatou…” And after that Leonardo didn’t said anything else. They had only one chance to save Leonardo or all will be over. \n\nOut of all them Mikey was the most concerned. He had never though his brother would come to the point that he would be captured but then again he didn’t was on his top form since this mess started. He ate so little and sensei didn’t allowed him to train until he had get rid of those “negative feelings”\n\nHe now wondered if it was such a bad thing to be in love of another male, or if it was really wrong considering they didn’t even were blood brothers. Of course they were raised as so but that didn’t was something that bad. At this rate that was a minor worry, he just wanted his big brother back, he didn’t even care at all what the others were saying to him. It was irrelevant and he didn’t care at this point.\n\n“Mikey!” Exclaimed April\n\n“WHAT?!” answered louder to be shushed by the others\n\n“Jeez, what is wrong with you dude?” Asked Casey.\n\n“What is wrong…? WHAT is WRONG you ask?! My brother could be beheaded because of you all being jerks to him and you ask ME WHAT IS WRONG?!” Almost yelled Mikey taking again by surprise to everyone.\n\n“Don’t worry Mikey I will make sure we bring him in one piece back home then we will fix things and all will go back to normal” added Raphael going even faster\n\n“How could I be so blind? It was more than obvious that we were pushing Leo to depression with our bad attitude and now we are all in this mess” Donatello felt terrible, he saw the signals, all the advices and he just pushed them aside for being weird to the situation. If only he would have been a better scientist… if only he would have been more cautious none of this would have started to begin with. It was empty.\n\n“I can feel people in this place” commented April closing her eyes and during that distraction foot bots landed attacking them and trying to take them down, during the fight they could hear Shredder laughing, they saw him appear on top of Chinatown and at his side was none other than Leonardo confusing everyone seeing him there as if nothing with a cold and also blank stare to them.\n\n“Leo! Run now that you can!” Exclaimed Raphael fighting more foot bots, but Leonardo remained there “Leo what are you doing?!”\n\n“Since when you care?” hearing that made everyone look at him as much as they could since every distraction was some hits gained. “Since when any of you care if I am fine, or hungry or ill?”\n\n“Leo what are you talking about?! This is not the time for this!!” added April, Leo let out a dark, dry and pained chuckle.\n\n“Like I didn’t heard you murmuring about how I deserved to be alone, as if didn’t saw the disdain you showed me…” \n\n“I was angry!! I wasn’t thinking straight!” the red haired girl dodged the surprise attack a foot bot launched against her.\n\n“Stop excusing yourself! I was freezing out in the rain twice when I had to give you laundry and you wouldn’t even offer me an umbrella.” April stayed almost still remembering Leo getting wet in the rain bringing the laundry and she will just close her window without looking back and how she would not even feel responsible when she came inside the lair and heard Leonardo sneeze curled on a corner of the couch shaking in cold covered poorly with a blanket. She could now clearly feel a stab of guilt in her guts to be later hit by a robot. \n\nLeonardo turns towers shredder and this one nodded. He then proceed to go and kneel giving the back to Shredder lowering hit head, the mask tails falling side to side exposing his neck.\n\n“This is my last act” added the blue masked turtle with a smile\n\n“Leo!! Don’t do this! Stay with me, with us!!” Raphael started to panic, he was serious. Just to ensure I died slowly in loneliness?\n\nThe statement did all of their blood freeze, no one except Raph and Splinter knew about the attempt of suicide, but now the soup was spilled. Even Karai didn’t believed that Leo actually tried seppuku due to depression. \n\n“And the worst part is that I didn’t even was asking you to correspond my feelings, I was trying to let them go by confessing that embarrassing secret… but turns out I just sealed my destiny that night…” as soon as he said that he lowered again the head, Shredder prepared his gauntlet. Silence…\n\nAfter what they felt like an eternity they heard a “thud”… Leo’s head fell in front of his body that seconds later fell to a side lifeless bleeding. The first one in react was April giving a loud scream in horror. Get back here with his corpse!!” as much as Raph tried it was impossible for him to get him “NOO!!”\n\nAnd so Tiger Claw disappeared with Leonardo’s corpse, time later the footbots leaved letting a broken Hamato Clan alone.\n\n“I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU HE WAS NOT OKAY! I TOLD YOU WE SHOULD TRY TO TALK TO HIM!! NOW HE IS GONE!!!” yelled in grief the freckled turtle. “I tried to make things better for all of us so we could be friends again like before!! But you didn’t let me get to him!!” he breaks to cry “And now my brother is gone….”\n\n“Mikey… I….” Tried to say April in tears.\n\n“Save it for yourself!” after that Mikey ran away\n\n“Mikey!!” Called Donatello but it was useless, he already had jump inside a entry to the sewers.\n\n“I am sure he will go with Leatherhead… don’t worry my brother” Slash came to pat gently Raph’s shell “I am really sorry about what just happened”\n\n“…. At the end of it was a big tree with a sword stabbing the ground. On its handle could be seen something dancing with the wind. He came close to then place the bouquet against the sword gently to kneel doing a praying position to show his respect.\n\n“Greetings Leonardo” spoke softly, it was Tiger Claw and in front of him was dancing in the wind Leonardo’s mask… the tomb was clean and seems like someone have been taking care of it.\n\n“At least the foot bots did a good job keeping this place clean… it’s been quite a while since you leaved… I guess there is a lot I should tell you about what have been happening… where should I begin with…?”\n\nAnd as he shifted to a more comfortable position he starts to tell him all.\n\n----in New York----\n\nAfter that dark day everything changed on the Hamato Clan. April and Casey went more often to the lair to keep in touch of the turtles. Since that they kept fighting the Shredder but it was not the same, the tree brothers had too much on their hands as Raphael due to depression was on a semi-delusional state and also his rage attacks increased –mostly when he sees Tiger Claw since he is the only one that knows where Leo’s corpse is. As for Mikey even if he keeps following orders of their actual leader Donatello he got a bit distant from the others. He would go topside to watch the stars mostly or just stay on his room with Ice Cream Kitty that seems to be now ageless or at least not noticeable enough because of the Ooze she received so long ago. Of course he still kept being the chef of the family and his cooking skills increased.\n\n“Dinner is ready” he called, everyone came to eat, Donnie being one of the last ones to come, but no signal of their master.\n\n“What is it today, Mikey?” Asked April on a soft voice, to be honest Mikey became distant mainly with her than with the others. The only one he keeps taking with openly is Leatherhead and he would go to sleep several times at his place. \n\n“Pasta” Mikey answered serving the plates. \n\n“That sounds, delicious, I will go for sensei, he have been in the astral plane for some hours now. “ Saying that April leaved the room to open the dojo’s doors. She could remember how they will prepare the funeral even if his body wasn’t there. How they will remember the once happy memories of Leo with a bittersweet taste. Maybe that was the perfect punishment they deserved after all what they did to him.\n\nDuring that time they just were able to see just how much they scarred Leo with no mercy. Mikey was right, they were monsters and she wasn’t that surprised the first time she saw Leo in the astral plane he glared at her to then run away to somewhere else despite the calls either of her of from Master Splinter. I can’t protect you now but at least you will be protected by someone else and that is all what matters. As for me I will be looking forward for us to reunite in the Astral Plane. “Don’t worry Mikey I will make sure we bring him in one piece back home then we will fix things and all will go back to normal” added Raphael going even faster

“How could I be so blind? It was more than obvious that we were pushing Leo to depression with our bad attitude and now we are all in this mess” Donatello felt terrible, he saw the signals, all the advices and he just pushed them aside for being weird to the situation. If only he would have been a better scientist… if only he would have been more cautious none of this would have started to begin with. Now he had to try to fix it all so he can make it up to Leo and to himself.

He still remembered how he would flinch whenever his brother was near as if he had the worst illness on story, what a good brother huh?

“And what if we don’t?! You will tell me I have to move on?!” answered Mikey on rage.

“Michelangelo that is not helping!” called Splinter to stop the fight, deeply concerned by the actual situation. Mikey just remained silently to keep going silently. They then stopped to check around. It was empty.

“I can feel people in this place” commented April closing her eyes and during that distraction foot bots landed attacking them and trying to take them down, during the fight they could hear Shredder laughing, they saw him appear on top of Chinatown and at his side was none other than Leonardo confusing everyone seeing him there as if nothing with a cold and also blank stare to them.

“Leo! Run now that you can!” Exclaimed Raphael fighting more foot bots, but Leonardo remained there “Leo what are you doing?!”

“Since when you care?” hearing that made everyone look at him as much as they could since every distraction was some hits gained. “Since when any of you care if I am fine, or hungry or ill?”

“Leo what are you talking about?! This is not the time for this!!” added April, Leo let out a dark, dry and pained chuckle.

“Like I didn’t heard you murmuring about how I deserved to be alone, as if didn’t saw the disdain you showed me…”

“I was angry!! I wasn’t thinking straight!” the red haired girl dodged the surprise attack a foot bot launched against her.

“Stop excusing yourself! I was freezing out in the rain twice when I had to give you laundry and you wouldn’t even offer me an umbrella.” April stayed almost still remembering Leo getting wet in the rain bringing the laundry and she will just close her window without looking back and how she would not even feel responsible when she came inside the lair and heard Leonardo sneeze curled on a corner of the couch shaking in cold covered poorly with a blanket. She could now clearly feel a stab of guilt in her guts to be later hit by a robot.

Leonardo turns towers shredder and this one nodded. He then proceed to go and kneel giving the back to Shredder lowering hit head, the mask tails falling side to side exposing his neck.

“This is my last act” added the blue masked turtle with a smile

“Leo!! Don’t do this! Stay with me, with us!!” Raphael started to panic, he was serious. It could be notice by his look.

“Of all of them you are the less indicated to try to convince me… you pushed me away like a weirdo… you made me felt dirty, a villain, garbage…” Tears start to appear from his eyes letting all speechless. “You told to Slash… then you punched me for an accident I did during practice, you caused the one I once called father to hate me and turn his back on me… my life became a hell” tearing even more shaking “n-no one ever asked my opinion… or if I felt alone or unloved… and when Mikey tried to at least suffocate my loneliness even if it was a bit what did you did?”

Leonardo waited for an answer that never came “WHAT DID YOU DID?!” exclaimed more loud. Again nothing. “YOU PUSHED HIM AWAY FROM ME!!” the tears kept going out even more remembering that painful time. “W-was I that bad leader? …. Was I that bad friend or brother? Was I that disappointing as son?” Leonardo then raised his head showing his face stained in tears” if I was that bad… if I was that of a disappointment… why did you stopped me from doing seppuku? Just to ensure I died slowly in loneliness?

The statement did all of their blood freeze, no one except Raph and Splinter knew about the attempt of suicide, but now the soup was spilled. Even Karai didn’t believed that Leo actually tried seppuku due to depression.

“And the worst part is that I didn’t even was asking you to correspond my feelings, I was trying to let them go by confessing that embarrassing secret… but turns out I just sealed my destiny that night…” as soon as he said that he lowered again the head, Shredder prepared his gauntlet. It was the end…

“LEO NO!! I-I LOVE YOU TOO!!” yelled Raph in despair to then hear a cold chuckle. The blue banded ninja had a blank expression and a blank smile as the blades of the gauntlet were raised in the air.

“I don’t believe you” added with a kind of dark voice as the blades cut their way through Leo’s neck…. Silence…

After what they felt like an eternity they heard a “thud”… Leo’s head fell in front of his body that seconds later fell to a side lifeless bleeding. The first one in react was April giving a loud scream in horror. Raphael was petrified, he didn’t know what to do.

“LEO!!!” Mikey was broken, he just saw his brother die!

“My son!!” when Splinter tried to reach for his son’s body Karai stepped in.

“Don’t you dare to touch him rat!” exclaimed mad.

“Out of the way girl!” added Casey trying to hit her away to just be hit by another foot soldier.

“You destroy everything you touch!” yelled Karai to Splinter fighting him “my mother… my family and now him!! He could have been a great foot soldier and have a great life!! YOU DID THIS!!”

While that happened Shedder nodded to Tiger Claw whom extended on the ground a red blanked and took carefully Leonardo’s body to them grab the head, after closing in respect his eyes the put it with the body to involve it making sure that the head gets secured he carried the body.

 “GET AWAY FROM MY BROTHER’S CORPSE” Raph was tearing finally fighting his way towards Tiger Claw.

“If he was your brother why did you stopped caring about him?” asked the mutant coldly to leave with the body.

“I am not done with you!! Get back here with his corpse!!” as much as Raph tried it was impossible for him to get him “NOO!!”

And so Tiger Claw disappeared with Leonardo’s corpse, time later the footbots leaved letting a broken Hamato Clan alone.

“I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU HE WAS NOT OKAY! I TOLD YOU WE SHOULD TRY TO TALK TO HIM!! NOW HE IS GONE!!!” yelled in grief the freckled turtle. “I tried to make things better for all of us so we could be friends again like before!! But you didn’t let me get to him!!” he breaks to cry “And now my brother is gone….”

“Mikey… I….” Tried to say April in tears.

“Save it for yourself!” after that Mikey ran away

“Mikey!!” Called Donatello but it was useless, he already had jump inside a entry to the sewers.

“I am sure he will go with Leatherhead… don’t worry my brother” Slash came to pat gently Raph’s shell “I am really sorry about what just happened”

“…. That doesn’t bring my brother back…”added Raph in low voice.

That day would be a day that no one of them would be able to forget….

He walked slowly through the place with a jasmine flower’s bouquet, it was a Green hill where the fresh air was able to run free. At the end of it was a big tree with a sword stabbing the ground. On its handle could be seen something dancing with the wind. He came close to then place the bouquet against the sword gently to kneel doing a praying position to show his respect.

“Greetings Leonardo” spoke softly, it was Tiger Claw and in front of him was dancing in the wind Leonardo’s mask… the tomb was clean and seems like someone have been taking care of it.

“At least the foot bots did a good job keeping this place clean… it’s been quite a while since you leaved… I guess there is a lot I should tell you about what have been happening… where should I begin with…?”

And as he shifted to a more comfortable position he starts to tell him all.

After that dark day everything changed on the Hamato Clan. April and Casey went more often to the lair to keep in touch of the turtles. Since that they kept fighting the Shredder but it was not the same, the tree brothers had too much on their hands as Raphael due to depression was on a semi-delusional state and also his rage attacks increased –mostly when he sees Tiger Claw since he is the only one that knows where Leo’s corpse is. As for Mikey even if he keeps following orders of their actual leader Donatello he got a bit distant from the others. He would go topside to watch the stars mostly or just stay on his room with Ice Cream Kitty that seems to be now ageless or at least not noticeable enough because of the Ooze she received so long ago. Of course he still kept being the chef of the family and his cooking skills increased.

“Dinner is ready” he called, everyone came to eat, Donnie being one of the last ones to come, but no signal of their master.

“What is it today, Mikey?” Asked April on a soft voice, to be honest Mikey became distant mainly with her than with the others. The only one he keeps taking with openly is Leatherhead and he would go to sleep several times at his place.

“Pasta” Mikey answered serving the plates.

“That sounds, delicious, I will go for sensei, he have been in the astral plane for some hours now. “ Saying that April leaved the room to open the dojo’s doors. In the middle of it Splinter –that had some of his fur white by now- kept meditating silently.

“Sensei, dinner is ready” after some seconds Splinter sighs and tries to stand to then being help by April “any luck?”

“… No” answered after a short silence “Leonardo keeps running away from me… I can’t blame him… I hurt him in so many ways, If only I tried to understand… if only I would have been a better father” and saying that some tears started to roll down through his face.

“I am sure you will reach him soon sensei… just be patient ok?“ April felt deeply concerned by the rat master. Both of them have been looking for Leo in the astral plane for quite a long time, maybe almost since they finished mourning him. Yeah that was a rough time. She could remember how they will prepare the funeral even if his body wasn’t there. How they will remember the once happy memories of Leo with a bittersweet taste. Maybe that was the perfect punishment they deserved after all what they did to him.

During that time they just were able to see just how much they scarred Leo with no mercy. Mikey was right, they were monsters and she wasn’t that surprised the first time she saw Leo in the astral plane he glared at her to then run away to somewhere else despite the calls either of her of from Master Splinter. She took Splinter to the dinner table but Mikey was no longer there.

“Where is Michelangelo?” Asked the rat master.

“he ate and leaved” answered Donatello, they remained silent after that, eating not knowing what exactly say.

It has been rough… Leo’s absent was meaningful for him.

“… Leo…” muttered de freckled turtle looking up at the starry night. The only thing he had to hold on to was that letter his big brother let him that night…

“Dear Michelangelo:

I am sorry for what you will see soon. Maybe you will not understand my decision now but that is ok, I don’t want you to neither. No matter what remember that I will be there all the time protecting you, maybe not physically but spiritually I will be there guiding you. I am so sorry I will let you without a proper supervision that surely you will ignore anyway hehehe but I just want you to know that I love you.

Please, this is the last thing I will ever ask from you baby brother: remain with the clan. I can’t protect you now but at least you will be protected by someone else and that is all what matters. As for me I will be looking forward for us to reunite in the Astral Plane. But for now I am sorry I had to get to do something like that.

Thanks for not giving up on me lil brother, thanks for being the only one that trusted so blindly in me. I never wanted any of this happen… but I guess this is… how is it called? Hitzusen or something. It means destiny anyway.
