It resisted the humans over a long war until a status quo was formed, leaving the Human Colonies to settle in the former kitsune lands.\n\nModern - Following the invasion the world sits at a form of peace, with relatively local problems arising and being resolved with often significant changes to the countries they affect. The earliest days of Chiral are rumoured to be tamer than the modern hectic world post humans entering and dominating the scene.  In many ways it was. Survival and reproduction were the two dominant forces in the world reducing the likelihood of encountering a creature who had crafted up a particularly niche interest to put unwitting prey through.  Yet the world was not without its perversion and many species made exceptionally creative use of the lewd energies that enrapture the peculiar planet.

When Chiral takes you there is little regard for when and where.  A stroll in the park can see you transported to the middle of the wilderness many years before the first sentient settlements.  Falling asleep with the curtains closed in your own bedroom can see you awakening in the similar domain of another dark loving resident.  Even stepping through doorways with little attention being paid could be a one way trip to the world between worlds.
