"writing": "\tSunday, it was a cold and damp afternoon in the city of Alexandria. The chime of the school bell echoed through the dismal air as the children hurried off of the buses and into the high school. A young woman came scurrying into the school wearing a black jacket, beneath it sat a vivid red skirt and complimenting black overcoat, with white trim. The girl held a simple black umbrella making her way inside of the now slightly crammed hallways. \n\n\t“Outta my way princess.” The woman felt a hard shove from behind, nearly knocking her over. The voice clearly a woman’s as the voice gave light to a ginger headed lemur shoving her way through the hallways. \n\n\tThe Australian Shepherd clung to a wall watching the snob of a woman make her way through the halls. A buzzing sound echoed through the hall. Footsteps clacked against the patterned tiles beneath them, squeaking sneakers disappearing. “Raven can be such a jerk.” A male’s voice said, the voice was meek but it was filled with good intention.\n\n\tThe girl turned around to see a young human male with light brown hair and hazel eyes. Freckles all over his cheeks. Wearing a white button up shirt with a red bow tie. “Tristan!” She smiled happy to see a familiar face. Hugging the boy close she turned her head back. “I don’t understand why she’s always such a jerk all the time. I mean what did I ever do to her?”\n\n\tTristan shook his head. “Don’t worry about her, she’s always as salty as they get Irina. I mean ever since her mom got remarried she’s been nothing but an angry little tart.” He snickered.\n\n\t“She should be happy her mom found someone else, I mean it’s not like she moved on too quickly. Right?” She questioned.\n\n\t“She was alone for about two years before she dated again, but. I don’t think it’s wise to talk about her life especially if for any reason she may be slinking around the corner.” He murmured.\n\n\tAs the two continued to talk the doors to the school opened, a young male Bernese Mountain dog came in from the rain, his black coat and white button up were absolutely drenched from the downpour that ensued beyond those doors. His blond hair near covered his eyes, he made his way into the school and took a short glance over at the two. Not so much as exchanging a single word.\n\n\t“Who was that Tristan?” Irina asked.\t\n\n\t“He’s the new kid, apparently his father moved here because of some serious issues back where he used to live. People say that he was responsible for his mother’s death. But personally I think that’s just a bunch of baloney.” Tristan shrugged.\n\n\t“He looks so sad.” She mentioned, “He doesn’t look like he’d hurt anyone, let alone get his mother hurt or killed… Maybe we should talk to him. I mean, he could probably use some friends.” Irina looked at Tristan with a little smile.\n\n\tThe male shook his head. “I really don’t think it’s such a good idea. I mean he’s lower on the social totem pole than we are. Which is honestly saying something. Personally I don’t wanna sink any lower than I have...” He said, “Besides, what if he actually did do those things. Y’know?” \n\n\tIrina looked at him puffing out her cheeks. “You’re such a worry wart. I swear you’re never gonna make friends if you keep that up.” By the time she was finished with her sentence the boy was already gone, a sopping trail of footprints into a classroom. Irina’s ears splayed as she looked up at the clock. “I should probably get to class anyhow myself. I’ll catch you later Tristan!” She zipped off down the hallway.\n\n\t“B-be careful not to slip! It’s wet still!” Tristan sighed and turned around to face a stairwell heading up the stairs to the next floor. \n\n\tIrina rushed down the halls nearly bumping into a man with royal purple hair. “O-oh! S-sorry Mr. Proust!” The young girl squeaked.\n\n\t“Wh-whoah! Don’t run in the halls now! You’re going to hurt yourself. O-or me!” The man spouted, standing in a dark blue uniformed outfit. A blue polo shirt with a gold threaded insignia on the front. His pants were black slacks. He dropped his textbook with a heavy thud. “Darn it!” He groaned out picking it up.\n\n\tShe finally made it to her classroom, the door had a “210” on it. Walking in the other students were chattering waiting for the teacher to settle. Irina stepped around to the third row to her seat passing a rather strange fellow, a safety pin sticking out of his eyebrow and looked as if he dressed in a gothic store’s closet. His hair had bright green streaks in it, and it looked as if it took him hours to get his hair to stay right. “Hey Irina.” The Jackal said with a big smile on his face. Though intimidating he looked his demeanor was quite nice.\n\n\t“Hey Ebeneezer, how have you been?” She asked wagging her tail.\n\n\tThe boy’s face quickly turned red with embarrassment. “Please don’t call me by my full name, Eb is preferred. And yeah I’m doing alright. I totally got that riff down on my guitar last night, I must’ve practiced like all night.” He laughed.\n\n\t“But you were supposed to write a thesis on chapter five last night. It was the chapter on Mitosis, and cell growth. This is like a big grade for us!” She worried.\n\n\t“Aw crap, you’re right! I completely spaced! Aw dammit, my mom’s gonna kill me...” His head hit the desk with a heavy “THUD!” “OW! Dammit! Totally didn’t hurt like hell...” \n\n\t“Are you alright?” She said patting his back. “Yeah, I’ll live.” He winced pulling his head up.\n\n\t“Now then, will you all please be seated if you already aren’t. I need you to please pass forward your homework from last night, and your thesis are due today by the end of class.” Unfortunately your normal teacher Mr. Solomon will not be teaching for the next few weeks. As you know he’s had to undergo reconstructive surgery after a ghastly car accident recently. So let’s make sure we wish him a speedy recovery.” The hyena in front of the room spoke up.\n\n\tThe class seemed to go on like any other, Irina sat in her seat listening intently to the lecture. “Oh there was something I almost completely forgot. Alphonse please come up here and introduce yourself.” He hollered out to the wet dog. “I swear my head must be on backward or something...”\n\n\tThe soggy mountain dog headed up to the front of the classroom and nodded his head to the classroom. “Hi, uhm. My name is Alphonse Krause, my dad and I just transferred to Alexandria recently from Pennsburg. I’m-” Before he could even continue one of the kids in the class shouted out. “Is it true that you left your old school because you threatened to shoot up the place!?” A boy’s voice shouted out.\n\n\t“Francis!” The hyena shouted angrily. \n\n\t“What!? I have a right to know that my life is in no immediate danger!” The fox responded. His ears pinned back, more upset at the teacher’s outrage than his own commentary.\n\n\t“You just bought yourself a week of detention for that. Go see Ms. Primini, right now.” The teacher pointed to the door.\n\n\tThe fox growled standing up from his seat with little debate and stormed out of the room.\n\n\t“I am terribly sorry about that Alphonse...Please continue.” He encouraged.\n\n\t“Alright, thank you Mr. Tompkins. Um..I hope we get along here, I’m not some serial killer. As some seem to think. My father got a new job and we had to transfer.”\n\n\tNo sooner did Alphonse finish talking the lights went dead in the entire school. A clamor erupted in the classroom. “Now now, I’m sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of this.” The hyena explained. The room was pitch black, barely able to see the hands in front of their face. Followed by several flashes of light down the hallway. An outcry from the students as they began to hide under their desks. \n\n\tMr. Tompkins the hyena crept over to his door locking it and making his way over to the other door. When his hand touched the knob his body wracked with pain, stiffening up, along with it came the pungent stench of burning flesh and hair. Grunting sounds stifled by waves of electricity coursing through the male’s body. He dropped to the ground with a hard “Ker-thud!” \n\n\t“Wh-what’s going on!? What happened to Mr. Tompkins!?” Irina panicked.\n\n\tThe glass on the door shattered, large pieces clanged as they broke against the ground, followed by something thrown into the room. “Tink, tink tink! Psssssst” Something hard hit the floor. The air in the room became heavy; the students began to hit the ground one by one. “Is this the one?” A muffled voice said. Alphonse barely clung to consciousness hearing those words.\n\n\t“What’re you...” Before a blinding light shined in his face followed by “THWACK!” Something hard and blunt hit the boy dropping him to the ground.\n\n\tMoments he would fade in and out of consciousness. The mountain dog saw very faded tiled ceilings, he tried to move his arms but they felt so heavy, his chest had a strap over it. “He’s regaining consciousness.” A disembodied voice said.\n\n\t“Don’t worry it’ll only be momentary. At least he’s alive, a lot of the test subjects didn’t survive the initial shock.” Another voice reasoned.\n\n\tAlphonse looked around in a panic. Panting heavily he passed out from such a lack of oxygen. When the boy finally awoke again he found himself in what looked like an old command center. There was a screen in front of the room and there was a room full of people with him, roughly around the same age. He looked around the dimly lit room; there were heavily armed infantry standing at the doorways. The canine glanced beside him seeing the jackal passed out in a chair beside him. “H-hey! Wake up! Seriously get up!” Al said in a panic.\n\n\tEb began to stir and groaned getting up. “Fuck...Why does it feel like I got hit by a fucking Freight train?” The male asked, “Dude, what the hell are you doing in a place like this?...Better question. Why the fuck am I here?” The jackal looked around seeing the infantry armed to the teeth. He stood up from the chair he was in, nearly falling over again.\n\n\t“I-Irina?” Eb said weakly, the girl slumped over on the table in front of her. The male looked around the room seeing a lot of the chairs were filled with people, some people he knew, others looked like they may have been from other schools even. \n\n\t“Where the hell are we?” Alphonse said in a panic. To his left was a boy with short black hair, he seemed like he was long since awake. “Who are you and why are you just sitting here like that!” He said reaching to give him a nudge. The boy took his wrist firmly and torqued it, a very faint crackling sound could be heard when he did. “Augh!” \n\n\t“Do not touch me peasant. As for why you are here, I do not know. We have all been taken captive by someone or someones. So instead of panicking, take a deep breath and collect yourself.” The stranger dropped his wrist and sat in his seat quietly awaiting everyone to wake up.\n\n\tIrina slowly pulled her head from the table, covered in dust and grime. “Where am I...Where’s Mr. Tompkins?? What happened??” Her voice began to crack. She turned her head and looked around seeing beside her was Alphonse and Ebeneezer. “Eb, what’s going on? Where are we?”\n\n\tThe male shook his head. “I have just as much clue as you do…”\n\n\tBeing interrupted by a voice in the back. “Let me the fuck outta here or you’re gonna be in a world of hurt bub!” The familiar voice shrieked.\n\n\t“Sit back down! Do not make me use lethal force!” The infantry shouted back. \n\n\t“Hey that sounds like...” Irina spoke up turning around seeing the lemur girl beating on the soldier’s chest. “Raven don’t do that!” she spoke up. “You don’t know what they’re capable of!” Irina protested.\n\n\t“Shut up! I know what I’m doing! The girl pressed against his chest, the man standing at least a foot taller than her reached to his side pulling out a large handgun. He pulled back the slide with an audible “Clack!” Raven’s ears fell to her head quickly as she backed up stammering. “N-now lets not get hasty...”\n\n\tThe man raised the gun in the air firing off three shots. “Bang! Bang! Bang!!” Irina covered her ears tightly as the gunfire echoed violently through the room. Anyone that was not already awake was certainly up now. Raven held her ears dropping to the ground in agony from nearly going deaf.\n\n\tThe people in the room looked around confused to see so many people set together. A commotion flooded the room. “Maybe if we rush them!” A voice called out into the room.\n\n\tSuddenly the large projector screen appears with a black silhouette on it. Three people, one sitting and two standing. “That would not be a wise idea.” A garbled voice mentioned. “My men are top rate paid mercenaries, they will have no problem executing a child, especially ones such as yourselves.”\n\n\t“Why are we here!” Raven shouted angrily at the screen.\n\n\t“To be put quite bluntly.” A higher tone voice spoke. “You are unfit for society. You all have been chosen for one reason or another for this experiment. You either have no one to go back home to, you have no future; or simply no one will miss you, should you go missing.”\n\n\tThe crowd of teenagers and adults looked about. “This is bull shit!” A skunk took a stand in the audience. “So because you say that we’re unworthy of mankind you think you can just fucking take us and do what you want with us? Screw that! You’ve got nothing keeping us here!” The skunk with the crimson hair sounded quite angry, confidence exhumed his voice. “Who’s with me! They can’t hold us here even if they’ve got guns.”\n\n\t“I’m glad you brought that up Bishop. Because we have a little present for all of you. Bring forth the subject.” The voice echoed through the room.\n\n\tMoments later all eyes seemed to watch the center of the room as a soldier brought forth a man strapped to a chair. It was Mr. Tompkins. “M-Mr. Tompkins??” Irina’s voice raised.\n\n\t“Now you are probably wondering why your teacher Edgar Tompkins is strapped to this chair. He is our subject to ensure that you will be calm and compliant. Now before you go thinking we did this because he’s an adult or your teacher. We chose him specifically because of the fact he’s been sleeping with an underage girl. No less one in his classroom.”\n\n\t“That’s all bullshit! Bullshit and you know it!” The hyena exclaimed fighting against his restraints. Raven watched in horror along with the other people in the room.\n\n\t“Mr. Tompkins would never do such a thing, the human with purple hair shouted. “I have been his colleague for years! He would never stoop so low! Surely you have compassion in your hearts!” Conas pleaded.\n\n\t“Inside each and every one of you we have placed attached to your carotid artery a micro bomb. Not only that but also it acts as a GPS. So please. Don’t get any idea that we won’t know where you are. Horace. Activate the test subject’s device.” The soldier that wheeled Tompkins out to the floor pulled out a remote control pressing a circular button on the black remote.\n\n\tThe hyena swallowed hard. “Someone stop this! I don’t want to die!” The male pleaded. Don’t just stand there!!” He cried out fighting hard against his restraints, the leather not giving any way. \n\n\tThe children hid behind their desks, Raven being the only one scrambling over to him trying to free his hands from the chair. “Mr. Tompkins!” She cried, being cracked in the head with the back end of a rifle. The girl laid on the ground struggling to get up. \n\n\t“Raven...” Tears rolling down his face, “I-” was all he had been able to say, before his neck and head blew off in a bloody explosion. The girl covered in bits of gray matter, fragments of bone. His body slumped in the chair as his neck hemorrhaged. The lemur screamed in dismay; sobbing uncontrollably. Clutching his bloodied body in anguish.\n\n\t“Now that you’ve seen just what we are capable of, as you will see.” The screen blacked out and changed to an overlay of the place they were all stationed. “You are on an uncharted island, left out on international waters my friends. In this process there is no laws to save you. This is going to be a kill or be killed situation. You are currently in the control center of an abandoned military operations base. On this island you will find all different types of landscapes. Be it mountains, forests, swamps. So make yourself at home. Because you will not be leaving here until there is but one of you alive. Out of twenty carefully selected candidates you will have to kill each other in order to survive. When you leave this place the game will begin. You will line up at the door to the right and you will be given a backpack. With three days of rations of food and water. So be sure to use it wisely. You’ll also be given a weapon in your pack. Be it help or hindrance is entirely up to you though.”\n\n\t“Anyone that tries to escape this island we have snipers on perimeter, we have booby traps all along the way. The only way you will be getting out of here is by helicopter or in a body bag. The choice is yours” The deeper of the two voices called out.\n\n \t“Everyone! Get in line!” The soldier ordered. His voice bellowed angrily. The people in the room began standing up and shuffling into a line.\n\n\t“Y-you’ll never make me fight!!” A raccoon in the room stood up from his seat. To hell with your game, I’d \nrather die than hurt my friends!” The boy with dark brown hair scrambled from his seat charging for the door. \n\n\t“Stop!” The infantry shouted, his rifle cocked and pointed at the boy.\n\n\t“Out of my way dammit!” He dove under his feet in an attempt to leave, only to be gunned down. “Ratatatatat!” Followed by a heavy “Ker-thud” Irina’s eyes shut tightly, tears rolling down her cheeks.\n\n\t“This can’t be real...This can’t be real...Mommy...Daddy...Please...” She kept pleading over and over again to herself. Alphonse patted her shoulder. \n\n\t“It’s gonna be okay...” He murmured trying his best to comfort her. Raven stepped up grabbing the bag she was given and stepped up to the male spitting in his face, running out the door.\n\n\tIrina looked at him with a small smile. “If we stick together we might stand a chance of survival.” She whispered. “You Eb, me, Tristan. Strength in numbers...” She murmured.\n\n\tBy the time Eb had made his way up there they threw the backpack into his chest. Giving them a confident smirk. “Don’t think I ain’t comin back for you. I’ll be running this island in three days. Tops!” He smirked and walked out through the door.\n\n\tIrina meekly stepped forth being nearly knocked over by the backpack. Caught by the mountain dog. “Are you okay?” He mentioned.\n\t\nIrina nodded her head quietly. Taking her supplies and walked out of the building quietly. One by one they got their backpacks and made their way out into the wilderness of the island. It was nearly light out, the small group of friends rushed out of the place in hopes to find one another. "writing_bbcode_parsed": "\tSunday, it was a cold and damp afternoon in the city of Alexandria.

\t“Outta my way princess.” The woman felt a hard shove from behind, nearly knocking her over. The voice clearly a woman’s as the voice gave light to a ginger headed lemur shoving her way through the hallways.

\tThe Australian Shepherd clung to a wall watching the snob of a woman make her way through the halls. A buzzing sound echoed through the hall. Footsteps clacked against the patterned tiles beneath them, squeaking sneakers disappearing. “Raven can be such a jerk.” A male’s voice said, the voice was meek but it was filled with good intention.

\tThe girl turned around to see a young human male with light brown hair and hazel eyes. Freckles all over his cheeks. Wearing a white button up shirt with a red bow tie. “Tristan!” She smiled happy to see a familiar face. Hugging the boy close she turned her head back. “I don’t understand why she’s always such a jerk all the time. I mean what did I ever do to her?”

\tTristan shook his head. “Don’t worry about her, she’s always as salty as they get Irina. I mean ever since her mom got remarried she’s been nothing but an angry little tart.” He snickered.

\t“She should be happy her mom found someone else, I mean it’s not like she moved on too quickly. Right?” She questioned.

\t“She was alone for about two years before she dated again, but. I don’t think it’s wise to talk about her life especially if for any reason she may be slinking around the corner.” He murmured.

\tAs the two continued to talk the doors to the school opened, a young male Bernese Mountain dog came in from the rain, his black coat and white button up were absolutely drenched from the downpour that ensued beyond those doors. His blond hair near covered his eyes, he made his way into the school and took a short glance over at the two. Not so much as exchanging a single word.

\t“Who was that Tristan?” Irina asked.\t

\t“He’s the new kid, apparently his father moved here because of some serious issues back where he used to live. People say that he was responsible for his mother’s death. But personally I think that’s just a bunch of baloney.” Tristan shrugged.

\t“He looks so sad.” She mentioned, “He doesn’t look like he’d hurt anyone, let alone get his mother hurt or killed… Maybe we should talk to him. I mean, he could probably use some friends.” Irina looked at Tristan with a little smile.

\tThe male shook his head. “I really don’t think it’s such a good idea. I mean he’s lower on the social totem pole than we are. Which is honestly saying something. Personally I don’t wanna sink any lower than I have...” He said, “Besides, what if he actually did do those things. Y’know?”

\tIrina looked at him puffing out her cheeks. I’ll catch you later Tristan!” She zipped off down the hallway.

\t“B-be careful not to slip! It’s wet still!” Tristan sighed and turned around to face a stairwell heading up the stairs to the next floor.

\tIrina rushed down the halls nearly bumping into a man with royal purple hair. “O-oh! S-sorry Mr. Proust!” The young girl squeaked.

\t“Wh-whoah! Don’t run in the halls now! You’re going to hurt yourself. O-or me!” The man spouted, standing in a dark blue uniformed outfit. A blue polo shirt with a gold threaded insignia on the front. His pants were black slacks. He dropped his textbook with a heavy thud. “Darn it!” He groaned out picking it up.

\tShe finally made it to her classroom, the door had a “210” on it. Though intimidating he looked his demeanor was quite nice.

\t“Hey Ebeneezer, how have you been?” She asked wagging her tail.

\tThe boy’s face quickly turned red with embarrassment. “Please don’t call me by my full name, Eb is preferred. And yeah I’m doing alright. I totally got that riff down on my guitar last night, I must’ve practiced like all night.” He laughed.

\t“But you were supposed to write a thesis on chapter five last night. It was the chapter on Mitosis, and cell growth. This is like a big grade for us!” She worried.

\t“Aw crap, you’re right! I completely spaced! Aw dammit, my mom’s gonna kill me...” His head hit the desk with a heavy “THUD!” “OW! Dammit! Totally didn’t hurt like hell...”

\t“Are you alright?” She said patting his back. “Yeah, I’ll live.” He winced pulling his head up.

\t“Now then, will you all please be seated if you already aren’t. I need you to please pass forward your homework from last night, and your thesis are due today by the end of class.” Unfortunately your normal teacher Mr. Solomon will not be teaching for the next few weeks. As you know he’s had to undergo reconstructive surgery after a ghastly car accident recently. So let’s make sure we wish him a speedy recovery.” The hyena in front of the room spoke up.

\tThe class seemed to go on like any other, Irina sat in her seat listening intently to the lecture. “Oh there was something I almost completely forgot. Alphonse please come up here and introduce yourself.” He hollered out to the wet dog. “I swear my head must be on backward or something...”

\tThe soggy mountain dog headed up to the front of the classroom and nodded his head to the classroom. “Hi, uhm. My name is Alphonse Krause, my dad and I just transferred to Alexandria recently from Pennsburg. I’m-” Before he could even continue one of the kids in the class shouted out. “Is it true that you left your old school because you threatened to shoot up the place!?” A boy’s voice shouted out.

\t“Francis!” The hyena shouted angrily.

\t“What!? I have a right to know that my life is in no immediate danger!” The fox responded. His ears pinned back, more upset at the teacher’s outrage than his own commentary.

\t“You just bought yourself a week of detention for that. Go see Ms. Primini, right now.” The teacher pointed to the door.

\tThe fox growled standing up from his seat with little debate and stormed out of the room.

\t“I am terribly sorry about that Alphonse...Please continue.” He encouraged.

\t“Alright, thank you Mr. Tompkins. Um..I hope we get along here, I’m not some serial killer. As some seem to think. My father got a new job and we had to transfer.”

\tNo sooner did Alphonse finish talking the lights went dead in the entire school.

\tMr. He dropped to the ground with a hard “Ker-thud!”

\t“Wh-what’s going on!? What happened to Mr. Tompkins!?” Irina panicked.

\tThe glass on the door shattered, large pieces clanged as they broke against the ground, followed by something thrown into the room. “Tink, tink tink! Psssssst” Something hard hit the floor. The air in the room became heavy; the students began to hit the ground one by one. “Is this the one?” A muffled voice said. Alphonse barely clung to consciousness hearing those words.

\t“What’re you...” Before a blinding light shined in his face followed by “THWACK!” Something hard and blunt hit the boy dropping him to the ground.

\tMoments he would fade in and out of consciousness. The mountain dog saw very faded tiled ceilings, he tried to move his arms but they felt so heavy, his chest had a strap over it. “He’s regaining consciousness.” A disembodied voice said.

\t“Don’t worry it’ll only be momentary. At least he’s alive, a lot of the test subjects didn’t survive the initial shock.” Another voice reasoned.

\tAlphonse looked around in a panic. “H-hey! Wake up! Seriously get up!” Al said in a panic.

\tEb began to stir and groaned getting up. “Fuck...Why does it feel like I got hit by a fucking Freight train?” The male asked, “Dude, what the hell are you doing in a place like this?...Better question. Why the fuck am I here?” The jackal looked around seeing the infantry armed to the teeth. He stood up from the chair he was in, nearly falling over again.

\t“I-Irina?” Eb said weakly, the girl slumped over on the table in front of her. The male looked around the room seeing a lot of the chairs were filled with people, some people he knew, others looked like they may have been from other schools even.

\t“Where the hell are we?” Alphonse said in a panic. To his left was a boy with short black hair, he seemed like he was long since awake. “Who are you and why are you just sitting here like that!” He said reaching to give him a nudge. The boy took his wrist firmly and torqued it, a very faint crackling sound could be heard when he did. “Augh!”

\t“Do not touch me peasant. As for why you are here, I do not know. We have all been taken captive by someone or someones. So instead of panicking, take a deep breath and collect yourself.” The stranger dropped his wrist and sat in his seat quietly awaiting everyone to wake up.

\tIrina slowly pulled her head from the table, covered in dust and grime. “Where am I...Where’s Mr. Tompkins?? What happened??” Her voice began to crack. She turned her head and looked around seeing beside her was Alphonse and Ebeneezer. “Eb, what’s going on? Where are we?”

\tThe male shook his head. “I have just as much clue as you do…”

\tBeing interrupted by a voice in the back. “Let me the fuck outta here or you’re gonna be in a world of hurt bub!” The familiar voice shrieked.

\t“Sit back down! Do not make me use lethal force!” The infantry shouted back.

\t“Hey that sounds like...” Irina spoke up turning around seeing the lemur girl beating on the soldier’s chest. “Raven don’t do that!” she spoke up. “You don’t know what they’re capable of!” Irina protested.

\t“Shut up! I know what I’m doing! The girl pressed against his chest, the man standing at least a foot taller than her reached to his side pulling out a large handgun. He pulled back the slide with an audible “Clack!” Raven’s ears fell to her head quickly as she backed up stammering. “N-now lets not get hasty...”

\tThe man raised the gun in the air firing off three shots. “Bang! Bang! Bang!!” Irina covered her ears tightly as the gunfire echoed violently through the room. Anyone that was not already awake was certainly up now.
