","writing":"Outside the grand ballroom, the merret stood waiting for her date, just a little worried that he might have backed out, though she did get there early. She was dressed in a simple, form fitting black evening dress, showing off her shoulders and a good bit of her cleavage.\n\nRandy grinned to himself as he strolled towards his date for the evening, slightly amused that she had looked right at him three times yet had failed to recognise him at all. He glanced at the watch on his wrist briefly just a moment before he drew close to her. “Eight on the dot… as promised,” he said as he held out his arm to her. He couldn’t really give her a hard time over not recognising him with the change in his appearance. After all she hadn’t seen him in the well tailored and perfectly fit tuxedo and black tie he had on. The stark white button down shirt a sharp contrast to the smooth dark cloth. “Shall we join your family now my dear?” he asked in a slightly deeper, and a bit more elegant voice than he had spoken with earlier.\n\n“Oh my.” She said smiling at her date. “I thought that you were good looking to start with…..but damn you’re hot as hell now.” She said taking his hand. “Follow me.” She said as she started walking him into the ballroom that was set up for the dinner. \n\nThe room was huge, looking like something that you wouldn’t think could fit on a ship. Through out the floor of the room, countless tables and chairs were set up, many of them filled with people dressed to the nines, chatting as they ate or waited on their meal. The merret lead her date to a table near the back of the room, sitting at it was a sharply dressed male ferret, and elegantly dressed mouse woman, and a cutely dressed little girl.\n\n“Mom, dad, sister.” May said smiling to her parents. “This is my date, Randle.” She said motioning to the man standing next to her.\n\n“So this is the man that you were telling me about.” The male said as he stood up, thrusting his hand out to Randy. “Jospeh, it’s an honor.”\n\n“The honor is mine sir,” the equine replied as he gave the ferret’s hand a firm shake. “As is the honor and pleasure of accompanying your lovely daughter to dinner. And a simple glance at this table is more than evidence enough of exactly where her loveliness comes from,” the horse boy said bowing to the older female at the table.\n\n“Well it looks like this one has some manners…..a good handshake.” The male said sitting down. “Might be a bit of a kiss ass.”\n\n“Sweetheart….be nice….” The mother said getting up and holding out her hand. “Pay him no mind…..he means well. I’m Emile.”\n\nHaving gotten up from her seat, the little one had made her way around the table and was glaring up at the horse from behind her mother. “You better not be mean to my sister….I’ll beat you up.” She said with a little huff.\n\n“And this one here.” The mother said scooping up the cub, :”is Jenny.” She said looking at the little merret in her arms. “And like I told your father, you behave too.”\n\n“A pleasure to meet you ma’am,” Randy said taking the older females offered paw in his. The sound of the younger girls voice catching his attention a moment later he smiled down at her a moment before her mother scooper her from the floor. After her mother’s warning to behave the equine boy said, “I wouldn’t dream of it. Any man that would be mean to a woman should be beaten until he can not move.”\n\nThe little merrett looked at the male for a moment before nodding. “He might not be a dufus.” She said nodding.\n\n“Pay her no mind. Jen gets a little protective….but once she gets to know you and she sees that you’re a sweetheart, she will hug you to bits.” May said as she took a seat at the table, her date joining her.\n\n“So, Randle.” The father started, look across the table. “What has you on a ship bound for another country? You wouldn’t be running from something? Maybe hiding something? Or just have a touch of the wanderlust.” There was a soft sound of paw hitting forehead as May shook her head.\n\n“Nothing of the sort, actually this trip is a bit of a vacation for myself and my family. But more than anything we’re headed to Japan for my brother’s wedding,” the palomino boy replied. “An extended stay in a foreign land I’ve never been to before, and a chance to experience another culture was simply too intriguing of an opportunity to let pass by.”\n\n“Well you seem more…..well read than some of the others Julian has been talking to…..especially that one bear….I swear that white fur ball just wanted in her pants.” The sound of paw hitting forehead was louder this time.\n\n“Dad!” May huffed out. “Mom…..make him be nice…..” She said looking to her mother.\n\n“I have to make sure that he is right for you and all…..it’s a father’s job. And you….” He was cut off.\n\n“I know, I’m the heiress of the company and all that, and I have to watch out for guys that just want to get close for the money and all that….” She said shaking her head. “Can we just have a normal meal.” She said glancing up to her parents.\n\n“Sorry princess.” Joseph said looking at his glass before taking a sip. “So Randle, what do you do? Still a student?” He asked, trying to make small talk and not seem too intrusive.\n\n“On a part time basis yes…” the horse boy said settling into his seat. “At least until I complete a masters in business management. In the mean time when not in classes or spending time with the rest of the family I work full time for a local consulting firm as an advisor and spend most of the rest of my free time with my kids.” Looking up as he saw a darker expression begin to form on the ferret's face he added, “and by my kids I mean the younger furs that I interact with through the big brothers and big sisters program.”\n\n“Well then…..as a businessman….I’m sure that you know this is a little painful to say, but I seem to be wrong about you.” The father said, his face softening. “And you know….if things work out and you ever need an internship I might be able to help you with that...I have connections all over the place.\n\n“Wow.” Was all that May managed to squeak out.\n\n“I know….I never thought that I would hear him say something like that…..and I’ve been married to him for ten years now.” The mother said shaking her head a little. It was about then that the waiter came to the table with the food cart.\n\n“It’s not that surprising...I mean...as a businessman, I have to know when I’m wrong...I might not like to admit it...then again it doesn’t happen a lot.” He said watching the waiter handing out the plates.\n\n“And like that he’s back to his old self.” Emile said with a little snicker, turning to Randy. “So. You mentioned your family and brothers and sisters, do you have a big family?”\n\n“Myself, two younger brothers and an older sister, not a particularly large family, but we are very close. And your husband isn’t all that different than my father. A bit over protective and looking out for his children, even if they don’t see it that way.”\n\n“Well….you have common sense.” The mother said smiling as she looked down at her plate. “And I think that you will make for a nice little boyfriend for Marie…..so how did you two meet, she was vague about it.” Emile asked as she started eating.\n\n“Quite by accident through a mutual choice of entertainment,” the palomino boy said with a bit of a grin on his muzzle. “We both chose the same activity to kick off our vacation down time. We happened to start chatting and discovered we had at least a few things in common so I asked her to join me for lunch. During the meal she made it clear that I would have to pass inspection and I felt up to the challenge which brings us to this evening.”\n\n“Sounds like she tricked you into playing that arcade game that’s she’s always playing.” Emile said with a little snicker. “So many bets that she has told me about on that one.”\n\n“I can’t help it.” May said smiling, “though he did give me a challenge.” She said nudging her lover.\n\n“You spend way too much time playing that game.” Joseph said shaking his head a little as he ate. “You need to find a more…..suitable hobby for a girl your age.”\n\n“I’m sorry dad…..but being super fancy and going to balls and all that…..just not my thing…” May said shaking her head. “I like things a little more simple.”\n\n“Well…” Randy said looking to his date briefly before regaining eye contact with the older male again. “Perhaps part of the problem is that she hasn’t found a guy that makes her feel as lovely as she is and wants to show her off.”\n\nThere was a sound of paw hitting forehead again,before the father started speaking, snickering a little bit at the sight. “Well from the looks of that paw stuck to her head, I think that she might have found that one. I mean, just look at her ears, red with blush and then some.”\n\n“Daaaaaaaaaaad.” May huffed out as she looked up to her father and huffed a little bit, before turning and looking to Randy, her tail snaking up his leg. \n\n“It’s ok sweetie.” Emile chimed in, snickering at the sight. “And you.” She said turning to her mate. “Be nice to the two…..you're going to kill her with blush.”\n\n“May-May and Randy sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.” Jenny sang happily, the older sister hiding her face in her paws.\n\n“I think it makes her even more adorable, and I can’t begin to imagine how beautiful she would be in a ball gown. After all she seems to make everything I’ve seen her wearing look amazing,” the horse boy said smiling at her father.\n\n“Well son.” Joseph said smiling to the horse boy. “It looks like you have better taste than I thought…..welcome to the family….so to speak.” \n\n“I’m just going to do that thing were I die of blushing.” May said through her hands, her tail wrapping around the horse’s leg and giving it a squeeze. \n\n“Wow.” Emile said with a little snicker of her own. “Your like the first or second boy that she has talked to that, that old fart likes.” The mother said giggling at the look her husband gave her.\n\n“That sounds like a bit of a compliment, and I will accept it as such,” Randy said turning to look at this date. “Now about that whole gown thing… I think I would love to see you dressed to the hilt for an evening out. Maybe we should do that when we get to Japan, care for a night of dining and dancing perhaps?”\n\n“Only if you wear a kilt.” May said with a little snicker, her tail moving a little higher. “And would it be dinner and dancing for me and you….or would these three come too?” She said, cutting a glance to her mother.\n\n“Oh come on now sweetie, there will be a lot of time for us all to eat and dance…..you two need time to get to know one another more…...cause some day I’m going to want grandkids….or some generic mom comment like that.”\n\nTaking the merret’s paw in his Randy turned to look her in the eyes as he said, “both would be an evening to remember. Any chance to spend time with you and show you off is reason enough to wear a monkey suit like this.”\n\n“Your a dork…...a cute sweet one, but a dork.” May said smiling as she held his hand. \n\n“K-I-S-S-I-N-G.” Jenny sang out again, giggling happily.\n\n“Hmmmm…..merret, horse hybrids.” Emile said with a little snicker of her own.\n\n“Mooooooooom.”\n\n“Ok you two.” Joseph said standing up from his seat. “You two go get a room…..And….as a father and all….you hurt her and I will….well….toss you overboard, and you know…..I have the money and power...I can get away with it.” He said smiling and holding out his hand. “But it has been an honor to get to know you son.”\n\n“Not to worry sir,” the equine boy said shaking the father’s paw. “Only a complete fool would even consider hurting such a beautiful lady as your daughter. It has been a pleasure meeting your family, and rest assured I will take very good care of May.”\n\n“Oh and May…..we might not be home, but the rules still apply, check in at least once a day and all that…..and don’t forget I can see what you order on the pay-per-view here.” The father said smiling.\n\n“And I’m old enough to watch that stuff dad.” She said with a snicker. “Shall we Randell?” She asked as she took her new lover’s hand and gave it a little squeeze.\n\n“Mom, what kind of shows do you have to be old to watch?” The little merret asked, tilting her head a little.\n\n\n“I will tell you when you're older.” Emile said smiling and patting her youngest daughter on the head.\n\n“But mom.”\n\n“Ask your father.”\n\n“Daaaaaad.”\n\n“Ill tell you when you're even older.”\n\nAs he rose to his hooves, helping his new lover to her foot-paws Randy said, ”thank you sir, have a good evening and don’t worry, my mother has always stressed the importance of being a proper gentleman.”\n\n“Sounds like a good mother…..and you are quite the example….” He said pausing a moment. “I think that we need to get together, my family and your’s….a nice dinner, some wine….the works.” The father said smiling, the mother face palming this time.\n\n“That could prove to be an interesting evening indeed,” the horse boy said with an odd little grin. “We just may have to do that very thing.”\n\n\n\n\n“So you know that we have to do something to the two…..it wouldn’t be a proper wedding without the parties and all that.” Shanoa said smiling to her sister as she sipped the whiskey in her glass.\n\n“Oh I know, but the question is what?” Chou said smiling, pausing for a moment and thinking. “I was thinking that we could convince Hana that she has to go through with the whole dying her fur white.”\n\n“Yeah, but that would be a little to easy I think.” Shanoa said slouching back in her chair. “And going with the whole strippers at the bachelor and bachelorette party is played out.” \n\n“Well you know, Hana is now on birth control and all.” Chou started out.\n\n“Well….fuck.” Shanoa said picking up her glass, taking a long swig from it. “I put a card under their pillow with a condom taped to the inside of it and a heartfelt message.”\n\n“And where did you hide the rest of them?”\n\n“All throughout the room….in the pillow cases, in pockets of cloths, in their bags, on the toilet paper roll…….everywhere.” The wolfcat paused for a moment. “Oooooooooh…..I have a thought, but it is a little mean. We could tell them that I just got word that some birth control pills have been recalled because they're not working…..and check their stuff, tell them that it is their LOT….and just sit back.”\n\n“That’s not that mean.” Chou said with a little snicker. “And you know that would prank all of the family too.” \n\n“You know, to add to that.” Shanoa said leaning forward, resting her elbows on the table. “We give them a few…..pre wedding gifts in a nice….semi...mostly public place. You know, we treat them to a nice dinner or something like that, give them the time to get all lovey and tooth rotting and then bring in the gifts…..they open them….boom.”\n\n“Oh god...and condoms….pinned to their room cork board...and you can explain to them about the birth control and all….seeing as you're the doctor of the family.”\n\n“Oh god…..you know the moment that she gets an upset belly or something, she is….well she’s gonna shit a brick amongst other things.” Shanoa said smiling and snickering a little.\n\n“And you know I know the best place to go and get all the toys and stuff.”\n\n“You mean that sex shop with the little old lady?” Shanoa said smiling and snickering a little bit.\n\n“Yeah….she is a sweet little old lady….and knows her stuff.”\n\n“Kinda like what you will be when you get her age.” The wolfcat said before starting to laugh.\n\n\n“Bite me.”\n\n“Well…..When do we want to spring this on them? I think that we need to give them a few days, give them time to fuck around a good bit…..then hit them with it.” Shanoa said smiling at the waitress that walked past, blowing her a little kiss.\n\n\n\n“You really did know what you were doing.” May said smiling and snickering as she slipped her card key into the door and opened it. “I thought that you were mostly blowing smoke, ya know.” The merret said as she planted a kiss on his cheek. “Grab one of the blankets from the closet and spread it out on the deck and I will be out there in a moment.” She said as she slipped off to the kitchen.\n\nRandy slipped off the jacket of his tux, one paw going to this neck and tugging the bow tie loose as he headed for the closet. “Oh ye of little faith,” he said with a chuckle. “Honestly, your dad was a little bit of a challenge. Nothing like the first father I had to deal with after starting the transformation though...God that was a nightmare.”\n\n“I could only imagine how that has to be.” She said walking up to her new lover, a bucket in one hand and two glasses in the other. “I know that my trans friend has gone through some shit, but she will tell you in a heartbeat that she doesn’t regret any of it.” She said opening the door to the deck. “Shall we?”\n\n“Most definitely,” the equine boy said tossing the jacket across the back of the closest chair and grabbing a blanket from the closet. Stuffing the linens under his arm he wrapped the other around the merrit’s waist, his now free paw resting on her hip as he leaned over and nipped playfully at her neck.\n\n“You know. It’s a little weird to think about….but you know if things keep going this nicely, you’re going to have to tell dad…...cause I’m pretty sure that if a medical bill shows up on the account, he might shit a brick.” She said as she stepped out onto the deck with her lover, her tail reaching up to flick the light switch, the little tiki torches on the deck sparking to life.\n\n“True enough,” the horse said releasing his new lover and unfurling the blanket across the deck. “Though that’s not likely, since the procedure is almost paid for already. Since I haven’t really had a lot of other things to blow my money on it’s been going into an account for just that purpose. Though at some point it might be necessary to come clean about the whole thing. The question is though,” he said turning and taking the merrit in his arms, pulling her close as he gazed into her eyes, “would he think any less of me for not coming clean up front?” As his paws drifted slowly down her back to cup and grope her shapely ass he added, “I would hate to screw things up because I basically misrepresented the facts when he and I were introduced.”\n\n“I think that it would be the best to tell him right out….cause yeah it’s my dad.” She said smiling, breaking away from her lover’s arms for a few moments to put the glasses and ice bucket down. “Though let me talk to mom first….kinda set up the back up ya’ know.” She said putting herself back in her lover’s arms, hers wrapping around his waist.\n\n“Whatever you think is best, after all, if things keep going the way they are who knows…” he said trailing off for a moment. “Okay I know it’s too soon and all but I have to ask May, where do you see this thing with us going? I mean honestly just how far do you see us going from here?”\n\n“Well…...I kinda see us exploring together….though just you and I.” She said looking up to her lover. “Maybe traveling to different places, seeing the sights and all that…..curing the wanderlust that I seem to be afflicted with.” The merret paused for a moment, kissing Randy on the cheek. “And then...settling down someplace nice and starting a family of some kind….me opening my own little studio, you being there to help with it and all…..maybe be a model….show the world that people are beautiful no matter what gender they are. That kinda thing.”\n\n“So you’re talking long term… as wonderful as that all sounds…” he said trailing off, a serious look coming to his face. “May are you sure… I mean, a girl like you… with the choice of guys you must have had…. why me?” the equine asked, his insecurities finally winning out.\n\n“Cause, of all the guys that I have meet here...and many other places….they were all pleebs.” She said with a little snicker. “And as for you…..you're not like the others, you're not hiding behind a wall, ya’ know.” She said as she held him a little tighter. “I know that it seems strange and all, but there is just something about you that I like. You have showed me that you want me for more than just the money and all that after finding out….all the other guys were just trying to get into my pants...and not for my….for my family’s money. That make sense?”\n\n“Oddly enough yes, it does,” the equine said, bending down and sweeping her up into his arms. “I mean… you accepted me as a guy, not as a freak that should be shunned or shit. That’s not happened for me before, you’re one in a million May,” he said slowly sinking to his knees and gently laying the merret down on the blanket. “Who the fuck would believe that on a cruise to get my brother married a guy like me would find someone like you?” he added, brushing her hair from her face tenderly with one paw. \n\n“The Faiths it would seem.” She said smiling and blushing a little. “It's like one of my guild mates said.
