Diir-Nia was originally the name of my Blood Elf on WoW and then several years ago, I started writing a Warcraft fanfic, except Diir-Nia was not a BE. In the story, she's a dryad-satyr hybrid. Towards the end of the 3rd War, a group of dryads were traveling to Moonglade but were ambushed by the satyrs camping in Felwood. One of the dryads was forcefully impregnated by the lead satyr in that area before the group managed to escape.\n\nWhen the pregnant dryad gave birth to her child, the mother instantly rejected it. No matter how much the druids washed the baby, it was red from head to toe, stained with demonic taint. The druids gave the child to a hippogryph, telling it to dispose of the child. The hippogryph being an intelligent creature took the child, not to death, but to the Exodar. It gave the tainted child to an old Draenei priestess by the name of Illiana. She cleansed the child in the moonwell which turned the child from red to a super light red that appeared nearly white. Then Illiana decided to raise the child as her own and train her in the ways of the holy priest.
