Cassius is an Brionne from Venice who is around the same age as Alister and Chip, but unlike them he has been traveling around the region since as long as he could remember. He is the son of the leader of Venice Aqua Valentine a Manaphy that is one of the Generals of Arceus making Meadow Cassius's Aunt. He hasn't seen Meadow for a long time and is thrilled when he finally does see her during his adventure as he has always wanted to meet the Pokemon that Aqua fought alongside to protect their region from those that would do it harm. Being the offspring of a legendary Pokemon Cassius has access to more power than a normal Brionne would though he has yet to fully master or explore his powers. He has used his time and energy to figure out how to combine his legendary powers with that of a Brionne with mixed results. Cassius wears a Everstone to help maintain his current form though he wishes to learn from the Dalmascian Pokemon in how to gain his next form's abilities while maintain his Brionne form.
Cassius is well versed in Domination Battles and has seen the form of battle become more popular around the region though the other cities have their own..."version" of the battle format that doesn't even compare to the "true" version that had started in Venice. Cassius's time in Noble Highlands and his battle with Alister showed him that the rest of the region still has much to learn about Domination battles and his need to help educate them on the subject. Despite how his match with Alister had gone it wasn't the proper way to conduct a domination match though he didn't have the time or desire to teach him in such a unfit setting and instead settled for just giving him a small demo. Maybe once they reach Venice he'll let the Minccino try his luck again him again in a more "proper" setting.
Cassius believes strongly in honorable combat though is not above employing tricks to get one over his opponent.

Cassius will be the first to tell anyone that he enjoys male Pokemon company more than female but he is not above finding a female worth breeding with. If there is anything that Aqua taught him is that its best to keep your heart open and your tail hole open more to every possibility.
