Delphine had always been interested in Meadow even back before the war, she was great warrior, good talker and most importantly really cute. Yes if she hadn't been interested in Dolphus she would have made a move on Meadow and might have been different for both of their stories. Now years later Delphine decided to court Meadow and make her hers'. Dolphus won't mind, besides the two of them had talked about it and right about now he's most likely courting Neoral. That Jirachi needed someone in his life and believe it or not he had a preference for who were more...male than what Delphine or more importantly Ruby were. But there was more to Delphine's move of courting Meadow than simply getting her dick wet even if that was the "main" reason for doing it.
Pokemon of higher class in society had last names like "Doomtail", "Capricorn", "Cheater" or even "Blacktail." These names tell more than what family you are from but the influence that family has within the social structure of Mysticfell. Names like these can be traced to the largest buildings within each city, who has influence in counsel halls and always who is sitting in a seat of power. The larger one's "House" is the more power they are able to wield when the time comes. A Pokemon's house increases in power by adding more Pokemon to it, these Pokemon swear allegiance to that house protecting its honor and if need be giving up their own lives to protect those within it.
For Meadow she has a choice to make at some point if she wishes to truly be "Meadow Doomtail" though for the time being she still is her own Pokemon...even if it was easy to think that Delphine completely owns her thanks to how things ended.
